Oh yes, ish is beyond real at this point. We knew people were serious about getting Galaxy Foams when we heard about the House of Hoops NYC campers on Saturday. NikeStore crushed dreams last night when they confirmed that they would not be releasing the Galaxy Foamposites online.

Yesterday we also caught wind of the Foams making the front page of the NY Daily News paper. Today we learned that someone from Queens is willing to trade his used 1996 Chevy Cavalier for a size 10.5 Galaxy Foamposites. Yes, this is real, people. The car works, too.

Here’s his listing description from craigslist:

“Looking to trade my car, 96 chevy cavalier for a pair for galaxy foamposite size 10.5. Yes car for sneakers. Car will come with a full tank of gas also. Nothing fake about this deal. You give me your pair of galaxy foamposite size 10.5 and i give you my car, keys, clean signed tittle and ill even the bill of sale filled out already. And ill even drive to you. The pictures is the actual car. Picture was not photoshop or enhanced in anyway. It was taken with my cell phone also.
I use the car to drive me to work everyday since i bought it. Nothing wrong with it. I bought the car from the original owner in Oct of last year. He never smoke and i dont smoke so the car is a smoke free car. It has an alarm in it a 10 disc cd changer, anti lock brakes, power locks, air conditioner and interior is clean. call or text me xxx-xxx-xxxx”

The NBA All-Star Game is in Orlando this year, and do you know what happens near Orlando? NASA. In celebration of NASA (and the All-Star Game) Nike is releasing the Space Exploration and All-Star Game Packs, a batch of galactic-themed sneakers. Oh, and they GLOW IN THE DARK.

The Space Exploration Pack consists of special "galaxy" editions of the Nike Dunk, Flight One and Foamposite models, which resemble moon boots, or are cloaked in wild, galactic imagery, or some combination of the two. But there are also a trio of kicks that Kobe, Lebron, and Kevin Durant will be wearing on All-Star weekend. The LeBron 9, Nike Zoom KD IV shoes are designed to look like space suits—Lebron's shoe looks like the orange pressure suits astronauts wear during take-off, Durant's shoe is modeled after the silver Mercury space suit. The Nike Zoom Kobe VII System shoe, on the other hand, is designed to look like a supernova.

These are probably the most futuristic pair of kicks this side of the Air McFly's, but unlike those mythical beasts, you'll be able to buy these ones. The Space Exploration pack (the ones against the starry background) will be available on February 23, while the All-Star Game Pack (the ones against the black backgrounds) will be available on February 24 online at NikeStore.
