10 Ways to have a happy life!

Stop taking so much notice of how you feel. How you feel is how you feel. It’ll pass soon. What you’re thinking is what you’re thinking. It’ll go too. Tell yourself that whatever you feel, you feel; whatever you think, you think. Since you can’t stop yourself thinking, or prevent emotions from arising in your mind, it makes no sense to be proud or ashamed of either. You didn’t cause them. Only your actions are directly under your control. They’re the only proper cause of pleasure or shame.
Let go of worrying. It often makes things worse. The more you think about something bad, the more likely it is to happen. When you’re hair-trigger primed to notice the first sign of trouble, you’ll surely find something close enough to convince yourself it’s come.
Ease up on the internal life commentary. If you want to be happy, stop telling yourself you’re miserable. People are always telling themselves how they feel, what they’re thinking, what others feel about them, what this or that event really means. Most of it’s imagination. The rest is equal parts lies and misunderstandings. You have only the most limited understanding of what others feel about you. Usually they’re no better informed on the subject; and they care about it far less than you do. You have no way of knowing what this or that event really means. Whatever you tell yourself will be make-believe.
Take no notice of your inner critic. Judging yourself is pointless. Judging others is half-witted. Whatever you achieve, someone else will always do better. However bad you are, others are worse. Since you can tell neither what’s best nor what’s worst, how can you place yourself correctly between them? Judging others is foolish since you cannot know all the facts, cannot create a reliable or objective scale, have no means of knowing whether your criteria match anyone else’s, and cannot have more than a limited and extremely partial view of the other person. Who cares about your opinion anyway?
Give up on feeling guilty. Guilt changes nothing. It may make you feel you’re accepting responsibility, but it can’t produce anything new in your life. If you feel guilty about something you’ve done, either do something to put it right or accept you screwed up and try not to do so again. Then let it go. If you’re feeling guilty about what someone else did, see a psychiatrist. That’s insane.
Stop being concerned what the rest of the world says about you. Nasty people can’t make you mad. Nice people can’t make you happy. Events or people are simply events or people. They can’t make you anything. You have to do that for yourself. Whatever emotions arise in you as a result of external events, they’re powerless until you pick them up and decide to act on them. Besides, most people are far too busy thinking about themselves (and worry what you are are thinking and saying about them) to be concerned about you.
Stop keeping score. Numbers are just numbers. They don’t have mystical powers. Because something is expressed as a number, a ratio or any other numerical pattern doesn’t mean it’s true. Plenty of lovingly calculated business indicators are irrelevant, gibberish, nonsensical, or just plain wrong. If you don’t understand it, or it’s telling you something bizarre, ignore it. There’s nothing scientific about relying on false data. Nor anything useful about charting your life by numbers that were silly in the first place.
Don’t be concerned that your life and career aren’t working out the way you planned. The closer you stick to any plan, the quicker you’ll go wrong. The world changes constantly. However carefully you analyzed the situation when you made the plan, if it’s more than a few days old, things will already be different. After a month, they’ll be very different. After a year, virtually nothing will be the same as it was when you started. Planning is only useful as a discipline to force people to think carefully about what they know and what they don’t. Once you start, throw the plan away and keep your eyes on reality.
Don’t let others use you to avoid being responsible for their own decisions. To hold yourself responsible for someone else’s success and happiness demeans them and proves you’ve lost the plot. It’s their life. They have to live it. You can’t do it for them; nor can you stop them from messing it up if they’re determined to do so. The job of a supervisor is to help and supervise. Only control-freaks and some others with a less serious mental disability fail to understand this.
Don’t worry about about your personality. You don’t really have one. Personality, like ego, is a concept invented by your mind. It doesn’t exist in the real world. Personality is a word for the general impression that you give through your words and actions. If your personality isn’t likeable today, don’t worry. You can always change it, so long as you allow yourself to do so. What fixes someone’s personality in one place is a determined effort on their part—usually through continually telling themselves they’re this or that kind of person and acting on what they say. If you don’t like the way you are, make yourself different. You’re the only person who’s standing in your way.

Shuba tries to give life to Bodhi Dharman to end the menace of Dong Lee. But Dong Lee, who is capable of doing anything, does all impossible bad things, mastered in 'Nokku Varmam'(Hypnotism), a martial art which was actually taught to the Chinese by Bodhi Dharma.

Buying a Car Tyre Online or Just checking the price

The last time I wanted to change my car tyre, there I was at a tyre shop near my place. I called upon the sales person and asked for the price.

He did told me how much it will cost me but the problem is, I have no idea if its cheap or not. Since the shop never display the price [ like most car accessory shops in Malaysia ], its hard to believe the sales person's price.

There a lot of factors on the tyre price. Such as , the brand, profile , year of make etc. Of course, you can do what I did back then. That is go to few different shops and ask for the price of the same tyre. But, not everybody can do that. In fact, this issue clicked my mind when my lady friend from office went and changed all ger tyres over the weekend and the tyre shop sort of ripped her off. Its hard to blame her because she is not a person that goes around tyre shops and ask for price.

Anyway, after a quick search on Google, found this site which sells tyre online in Malaysia. They offer wide range of brands and sizes. You just need to find one that fits your car and order. Once it processed, you just drive down to the selected shop and get it replaced. The cool thing is, you pay for it online and don't have to pay anything when you visit the shop. So, minimal chances of rip-off!!!

Unfortunately, I couldn't help my friend with her purchase. But hopefully it helps somebody out there.

And oh ya, even if you dont want to purchase your tyre from this site, you can at least get the approximate cost of your choice of tyre. It will surely helps you when you negotiate the price with your neighborhood tyre shop.

And that's when I come across this site where I can download sound clips of comedy drama by the famous SV Shekar and crazy mohan. These guys are usually seen in movies but in fact they are much more popular in local stage drama scenes.

Anyway, so, I used to download these clips and play on my mobile or car player every time my mood hits the ceiling. Trust me, it works! :)

I saw this advert on a local banking service. They were advertising a new service for their users.

The phrase actually caught my attention. It says, " Lead by Example - Some times, setting a standard means being it. "

It is so true. If you are a leader, you should not just preach. You should lead the rest with example. I have seen a leader complaints that his members takes so frequent breaks. But he failed to realize that he himself taking frequent smoke and coffee break. There is no point expecting others to follow a standard which we ourselves unable to attain.

Think about it. :)

Tips to stay on Job!!

Sometimes, the pressure becomes so unbearable in office until you tend to take it very personally and overact. Most people always forget that our JOB is supposed to be a part of our daily life. NOT the other way around. Anyway, how to keep cool while at work? Some tips follows

1) Always learn to say "NO". - Doing a favor is good sometimes. But at the same time, you have to do it only during your free time and not at the expense of your work. There will always be some people in your office who are like to go around and look for potential people to "assist" them in their work. So, learn to say NO once in a while but always do it in a very diplomatic way.

2) Dont Over Promise - I have seen many people does this. Dont promise something that you are pretty sure that you cant do. Dont say OK to your boss to prepare project papers during the weekends when you already promised your wife a weekend outing. If you can't do it right, explain it well before the due or start of a task so that it can be re-arranged or re-assigned. It's better than you giving up at the last moment or worst after the due time.

3) Eat your Food - No matter what, dont ever skip your meals. Many people does it. You by skipping your meal ; are not doing any good for anybody. Firstly, your body and brain will be low on energy thus poor productivity and 2nd, it's your break time. Use it. The reason why we have break time is so that you can give a "break" to your brain , body and eyes to rest before continue it's work.

4) Take a break! - It's good that if you can take a short break once a while. Just a 5 mins short break in between your long emails or meetings. Trust me, it helps to "refresh" your view on problems and matters. Just take a slow walk to pantry or look out at your office window etc.

5) Dont do multitasking - You are not a PC. Dont ever try to do more than 1 tasks at the same time. Prioritize your work and start with the most urgent / critical tasks and move down. Best way is to list down your tasks at the beginning of the day so that you know what is expected from you for that day. With this, you will not promise anything new or take up any new assignments also.

And lastly, learn to enjoy your job. Your work is the biggest part of your daily life. Dont let it be a nightmare. If it is, maybe perhaps it's time for you to move on.

66–year–old woman has become the oldest known mother of triplets after she gave birth to two boys and a girl here on May 29, 44 years after her marriage to Deva Singh (64). “Bhateri Devi of Satrod Village in Hisar district conceived with in–vitro fertilisation (IVF) technique at National Fertility Centre here,” Dr Anurag Bishnoi, who was the treating IVF specialist, said. Bhateri conceived in her third attempt and became a mother for the first time. “For the first two attempts, only two embryos were transferred in each cycle. But in the third attempt, three embryos were transferred in her uterus, resulting in the birth of three children by Caesarean section,” Bishnoi said. Bhateri was born on May 21, 1944, in Madina village of Rohtak, as confirmed by the birth certificate issued by Rohtak district hospital, he said. “As the proof of her age is well–documented, she becomes the most aged female of the world to give birth to triplets,” he said. Her husband Deva Singh said he married twice after marrying Bhateri as she was unable to produce children. But he had no children from the other two wives either. “It is the eldest wife who has made me proud and given me a heir. Old is gold,” Deva Singh said with a smile.

Rapidshare is one of the major file hosting provider currently. Different types of files can be found here. Ranging from movies, songs, programs, documents, ebook etc. They do provide free access to the files but at a much lower speed and limited download slots. And most of the time, the slots are usually used up.

SO, if you are a heavy downloader, you may consider getting a premium account on Rapidshare.

How do you get it?

1) Getting an account

There are number of resellers in Malaysia that provides premium accounts. One good thing is, you can use maybank2u to purchase from them.
At the time of this posting, the cost of a premium account :

30Days = RM 36.50
90Days = RM 88.50
180Days = RM 159.50
1 Year = RM 283.50

I have their service personally twice and they delivered the account details within 24hours on both occasion. Pretty reliable.

2) So, you have a premium account. What’s next?

There are few sites where you can search for files hosted on rapidshare. Such as rapidshare1 [http://www.rapidshare1.com/] and rapid2me [http://rapid4me.com/]. But normally, I will use different sites to get what I’m looking for. Go ahead and google for it.

3) How do I download?

I prefer to use IDM [ Internet Download Manager - http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/] to download from any sites. With this, you can pause or resume downloads at anytime. Get the rapidshare link from the sites and download it with IDM.

4) But the download speed is still slow?

Sometimes, the download speed can be slow due to various reasons that I don't wish to talk here. :) Anyway, one way to fix this is, convert your url into IP based. You can use this free service provided by RS2IP [http://rs2ip.anonymailz.com/]. This website basically converts your rapidshare urls into ip. Use the ip url instead and you can see better download speed.

5) Anything else?
