This was a purchase from Selfridges inspired by seeing Kate Moss with one at Selfridges for Charlotte Tilbury's Makeup House of Rock n Kohn opening party. I blame them all!

My New Nice n Easy Hair Colour - Review

Right!! So I have now done my hair colour using the Nice n Easy Colour Blend Foam in Light Golden Brown 6G (which comes out medium on my colour grabbing hair) and I completely love it!! Take a look!!

I had a gorgeous Hershesons blow dry today and they could not believe I had done the colour myself!

I have had so many compliments on it so far that it has got me feeling so good! One person said that she thinks it is the best thing I have had done to my hair since I've been blogging!! Considering the fact that I have been to some amazing salons, I am thrilled I could get this response from something I have done at home! Yay!!

Was it easy?

As you can probably see, I decided to keep some of my golden lights in the underneath sections, just so they kicked out as my hair moves. I got some great tips from Clairol's Colour Adviser Jonathan Long and it was actually really easy to do.

Nice n Easy Colour Blend Foam Review

I just sectioned off the pieces I wanted to keep with conditioner and foil, then coloured all the rest! Simples!

The key to using the foam with no mess is to just give it three very gentle shakes (no more) then gently squeeze it from the bottle. I then just wiped round my hairline with baby wipes. It was all done in no time!

Right! So I have to start off by saying, I MET KATE MOSS LAST NIGHT!

It was a pretty special moment to share a picture with THE most photographed woman in the world, and I am delighted to report that she was utterly charming! Yay!

She was also wearing the YSL Betty Bag that I lust after every time I go to Selfridges, so if I am not careful later when I go there for appointments, I just may buy it!! My credit card is quaking!

1 Minute Wonder with Pantene

I colour my hair quite a lot, and although it looks quite shiny after it is first done, it very quickly loses the lustre that I love so much. So when Pantene challenged me to create a super shiny One Minute style using the their new 4-step Strength & Shine Colour Care collection regimen (shampoo, conditioner, One Minute Wonder Ampoules and Shine Serum), I was well up for it!

For your viewing pleasure, here is a before photo.

The colour is still good but it does have a rather matte appearance and is lacking sheeny shininess.

To celebrate the speed of the Pantene Pro-V One Minute Wonder ampoules, I created a super fast one minute style with the new Pantene Strength & Shine Collection. Here it is:

It looks so much healthier. Here's what I did...

Prep:

Washed and conditioned the hair with Pantene Prov-V Strength and Shine Shampoo & Conditioner
Used the Pantene Pro-V 1 Minute Wonder Ampoule for an intensive and fast treatment (this has the highest concentration of conditioning active from Pantene

Gently dried and smoothed my hair with a dryer and bristle brush and I was ready to style!

Pantene Pro-V Strength and Shine for Coloured Hair

Check out the shine! Yay!!!

I misted through some heat protection and then took at wide barrel wand and, without sectioning, took large pieces and heated them lightly round the wand. I didn't wand too much texture so I could make the most of the shine.

Once it was all done I took a pump of the Pantene Shine Serum for Coloured Hair:

And pulled it through the waves to break them up.

Time for a Hair Colour Change with Clairol Nice n Easy

I think hair is the thing. When I say the thing, I mean that I only feel really properly amazing when I think my hair looks good. I just feel that all the gorgeous makeup and clothes in the world just don't look as good when my hair's rubbish! I think I even walk differently when I have good hair, but that's another story.

I know I am not alone in my belief in hair's confidence boosting power and a recent survey by Clairol confirmed that having great hair really makes us feel so much better. When I was given the opportunity to have a colour consultation with Clairol's colour advisor and stylist to the stars, Jonathan Long, it was impossible to say no. I always love getting tips and advice from the real experts and I am completely obsessed with hair!

We had a great chat (he is adorbs) and we decided it is time for a change! I am really excited about it. The plan involves this! The Clairol Nice n Easy Colour Blend Foam in 6G Light Golden Brown - find it HERE.

I have had my ombre/dip dye for quite a long time and although I really love it, I do think I am just a bit over it now. So Jonathan suggested a bit more of a subtle take on the sun-kissed style. There will be more of a one colour (yet still multi-tonal) feel with just some hints of lightness peeking out from the under sections. Sophisticated yes?

Jonathan thinks that this will make my eye colour (orange!!!) stand out more, as at the moment my hair and my eyes are blending into one. This little move is all about making the most of what I have naturally and not everyone can claim they have ginger eyes you know!!!

He suggested keeping the shade quite warm still, with the golden brown colour. We went for the light 6G as I told Jonathan that my hair really grabs colour and we don't want to take it too dark. This way the tone on tone contrasts with the underneath sections won't be too stark.

So here is me now before I carry out the colour plan:

This is a bi-phase product, so we have an oil phase which nourishes and cleanses, and then a water phase with actives of marine spring water. The oil part does the actual work of removing all the pigments and waxes of the makeup, and then the water element washes away the oil and hydrates too. Lovely!

You give the Elemis Eye Makeup remover a really good shake, put a few drops on to a cotton pad, hold it on the eyes for a few seconds then simply wipe away the makeup. It melts even the stubborn stuff and doesn't pull on the skin one little bit. A couple of swipes removed all the makeup and left the eye area looking and feeling very hydrated. Job done!

This morning my eyes were perfectly clean with no trace of black smudginess. Excellent! Completely recommend this as it's super gentle, really effective and suitable for sensitive skin and lens wearers.

Twitter Fakes Part 2 - and so the story continues

At the end of last year I wrote a post about people that buy fake twitter followers and it really set the cat amongst the pigeons. One particular fashion blogger who'd bought 200k was outed in the comments, however, after receiving numerous threatening emails from him, I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle to keep the comments there. You can probably piece it together if you were really interested though.

So 6 months later, the issue has reared its ugly head again. I shan't name names here, but I just wanted to talk about it because, in spite of my awareness of fake bloggers, I was rather caught off guard by this one.

And so this is the story....

I was at an event a few weeks ago, listening to a presentation when I received a tweet from said 'blogger' saying she had spotted me in the front row (I like front row) and was looking forward to meeting me. She approached me straight after, was a bundle of joy and I felt slightly embarrassed and ashamed of myself that I hadn't seen or heard anything about her throughout my entire blogging career. How self-obsessed am I?!

Her familiarity (and her 10K twitter followers) made me feel that, although I was not currently following her on twitter, that I should have been. So I followed and off I went.

She tweeted me to say how lovely it was to have met me and I returned the pleasantry. I saw her at a few events after that, and she did a very good job of acting like my new best friend - very pleased to see me and offering to accompany me to the next event and so on (I wasn't finished where I was so declined by the way).

Yesterday morning she tweeted me asking about an event she had been too tired to attend and I suddenly got a funny feeling about it all. Why had I never heard of her before, why she is suddenly most places I go and why is she tweeting me addressing me as 'hun'?

Without thinking, I pulled out my old favourite fakers.statuspeople.com and then nearly fell over. She's only a blooming faker!! 93% of her followers are bought (non-human, robot pics with full profiles but no followers and no tweets). Blimey, I was fuming! Nice, friendly, smiling Ree vanished and angry, annoyed, ranting Ree stepped into the room.

I phoned Jane Cunningham, BBB, gave her the low down and we decided between us to alert the PRs of the events I had seen her at. ZERO TOLERANCE.

Too many of us have put in actual blood, sweat, and tears to make this work, not 10k fake twitter followers. End of.

I have freely shared the name of fake blogger with anyone who has asked on twitter via DM because I have completely had enough of people cheating. Simple as that.

Others have publicly outed her, and that is completely their right. I'd imagine that they are as angry as I am. Part of me feels sorry for her, but the other part thinks that it will be a good lesson for her to learn.

Please PRs and brands, don't take everything at face value, use fakers.statuspeople.com as a first screen for your bloggers. It won't tell you everything, but it's a good place to start.

Bloggers don't panic if you have a few fakes - in this spammy world we live in, it is pretty hard to avoid.

And please don't let this bring the professional ethics of the blogging community into question. Genuine bloggers don't buy twitter followers, don't demand product and don't gatecrash events. We work hard and love what we do.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is a mask that really means business, and its business is all about radiance - refreshing, renewing and rejuvenating (I have been alliterating all day). It's a case of Ren versus lines, spots and dull skin and from the very first use it was Ren 1 - Skin Nasties 0. I actually did girly clapping in appreciation!

This active peel mask really works for me, and judging by people's responses on twitter every time I mention it, I don't think I am alone. Apparently it has been a number 1 selling product since launch and is consistently ranked in the top 10 selling face masks at Sephora.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask contains natural fruit acids from passion fruit, lemon, grape and pineapple which work with papain enzyme (from papaya extract) to "lift and remove dead skin cells, exfoliate, encourage cell turnover, smooth fine lines and boost radiance."

For healing and anti-inflammatory action it also contains Omega 3 and 7 which also works to prevent scar tissue forming.

When I use this my skin literally glows and my makeup looks flawless. Love it! And it is done in 10 minutes! I 100% recommend this product, except if you have sensitive skin - perhaps a patch test first?

I gave you a quick peek at my new shoes in yesterday's outfit post, but because I love them so much they definitely deserve a post of their own!

I absolutely adore them!! And this isn't just because they look so gorgeous! Firstly, Clarks do half sizes so I didn't need to worry about the usual "errmmm I'm a big 5 or small 6" fandago and just went straight in and picked the 5 and a half! Why don't more stores do this? I know so many people who are between sizes.

On top of this brilliance, there is also a wonderful squishy bit in the insole to prevent achy balls (!!!) and this pretty much makes the whole experience like walking on air. To be fair, I am not all about comfort all the time and will often put my poor feet at the mercy of the fashion gods (and pop a paracetamol) but with these I just don't have to.

They feel really well made too and have the balance that you only get with quality (you'll know what I mean if you've ever tried to make a Primark shoe stand up straight on its own!).

Love them and whole heartedly recommend. Plus this isn't the Clarks of yesteryear - this is cool Clarks - or at least no one would guess they were Clarks.
