Behold Your God Israel

We hope these photos and stories encourage you and remind you to pray for our staff and volunteers currently campaigning in Israel. (We'll mention which region at a later date.) Pray as campaigners engage people in conversations, and pray that people who allow us to send them further information (as with the woman in the last photo) will be open to meeting with us as well. Pray for physical and spiritual protection and for God to glorify Himself through our efforts. Media We had put up our usual gospel message in Hebrew on 13 billboards throughout the campaign region. Pentecost. Is it a denomination? A supernatural experience? A date on a liturgical church calendar? Perhaps it is the surname of a beloved Bible scholar? Actually, Pentecost is first and foremost one of the most important and least appreciated Jewish festivals in the Bible. Behold Your God Israel Wrap Up We completed our most recent Behold Your God Israel campaign last month, reaching the area of Shfela (pronounced Shfay-la) which is south of Tel-Aviv. Campaigners were housed some twenty minutes away from the place where David slew Goliath. The cities in the area are filled with people who have never heard of Y'shua (Jesus). Some were very angry that we were there, but many were curious and gave their information so that we can send them a New Testament. We received contact information from 716 Jewish seekers and eighteen Jewish believers we had not known before. Twenty-two people prayed with us to receive Jesus, fourteen of whom were Jewish. Campaigners handed out 33,890 broadsides, connected with 632 people as they went door-to-door, and spoke to 3,990 by phone. Rob Wertheim reports, "You might recall that I was arrested in April, 2008 while distributing gospel tracts on public property (City College of San Francisco). The charge was trespassing. Our attorney attempted to reach the campus authorities to discuss the situation but when those attempts failed we filed a lawsuit. The case recently settled and we now have full access to every area of the campus, whereas distributing literature was restricted to one area before. Also, there is no longer a permit process. We simply notify them when we come to the campus as a courtesy. "I returned to the campus last Monday and really believe the Lord validated my ministry there as the first person I spoke with was an Israeli student. Again, toward the end of my sortie, I met a Jewish student whose parents are both from Israel. We asked you to pray for our Passover tours and extra ministry taking place around this holiday. While we have yet to receive reports on this week's Passover banquets, we did want to report the following news regarding Passover evangelism: From the Road: It's always great when churches make use of their signage to publicize our presentations, but not too many have a marquee like this church in Morris, Illinois. Bruce Rapp (leader of Jews for Jesus Phoenix outpost) was touring through Texas, presenting "Christ in the Passover" at various churches when he received a call from supporters of our ministry. Carol and Gary told Bruce about their Jewish sister-law, "Andrea." She is 42 years old, married for just three years and has an 18-month old baby boy. Bruce reports, "Andrea has been diagnosed with stage four cancer and is asking some very serious questions. Carol and Gary asked if I would be willing to meet with her. I telephoned Andrea and listened as she tearfully wondered...
