Pantene Repair & Protect Range Review

I bought this set from Asda awhile ago at an absolute bargain price, I can't remember how much but I remember it was a bargain. I have just finished the bottles off and thought i would share my thoughts with you.

What they say :

What i say:

I really like these products. They have a fantastic smell and for the reasonable price deliver great results. I feel that my hair has lasted much better between cuts and i can notice a reduction in split ends. The only downside is the the Repair and Protect Masque. I have very dry hair and this mask doesn't cut it as a deep conditioner. I would much rather pay the extra money for a mask form the salon, Wella SP being my favourite, as a weekly treat for my hair. However if your hair isn't in as bad a condition as mine this may be a perfect budget hair masque.

DIY Spot treatment: Aspirin Spot Treatment

I'm back !! Sorry for the lack of content lately but i was off getting married and that took up every minute of my spare time. But i'm back now and i wanted to share with you this little trick i learned while trying to keep my skin perfect during the run up to the big day.

All you will need is:

3 or 4 Aspirin
Small Bowl
Warm Water
Cotton Buds

Place the 3 or 4 aspirin in a small dish

Add a small splash of warm water

The aspirin should start to dissolve. Give them a stir until it develops into a paste.

Use the cotton buds to add the pasts to the blemishes. Leave for a couple of hours or if possible over night for really big blemishes.

If you try this please let me know how you get on. I loved it and will never buy an expensive spot treatment ever again. They tend to just dry my skin out and leave me with marked skin for a few weeks.

George at Asda have just released there latest "To be seen in" Range. Miami Heat !!

I was excited to see this as you all know i am a huge fan of George. I think they bring out some great on trend pieces at amazing prices. You just have to be prepaired to have a good look for them, they aren't always arranged right in front of you like high street stores you require a certain amount of imagination.

I was really dissapointed with the Last "to be seen in" range which was tribal. It felt a bit mumsyy and to over done. This on the other hand is fab and i think i am going to buy the entire range to fill my suitcase for my holidays in a few weeks. I came across this Jennifer Rose Jewellery in the beautiful Centrestage Dancewear in Linlithgow. I immediately feel in love with the jewellery. It is bright and delicate and very on trend. The jewellery is all silver plated and hand made by a local lady which makes me love it even more. Believe it or not it is actually designed for girls but there are many of the pieces that I love. I think Jennifer Rose Jewellery will make the perfect gift for big girls and little girls and I have bought a couple pieces for my nieces instead of Easter Eggs. The packaging is gorgeous too, nicer than anything i have ever seen on high end jewellery lines.

Nails of the Week: Pokadot Minx

I would love to be able to have lovely nails all the time but unfortunately i find it difficult to squeeze time into sleep into my schedule these days never mind doing my nails. However that said i am going to make a good effort to have a pamper session on a Sunday that will include doing my nails for the week.

I think this is a good habit to get into and make sure i dedicate some well deserved time to myself. I decided to go for the pokadot minx last Sunday. they are great as they look fab but actually only took me about 15 mins to put on. They lasted perfectly until around Thursday and by today (Saturday) they are starting to look a little bit rough round the edges but its Sunday tomorrow and i will freshen the up then. Wonder what to do with them .......

Boots Vs Clairns: Battle of the Lip Balms

I was reading a blog post from www.latestinbeauty.com on No7 new summer range when i noticed a remarkable similarity between there new peach and pink Lip Balms to the Clairin's Lip Perfectors.

They look suspiciously alike. I personally love the Clairn's Lip Perfectors and i am really excited to try No& versions. I hope that they are cheaper :). They will be available from Boots from May 16th - July 10th.

Garnier BB Cream Review

I requested a free sample of Garnier's BB cream from their Facebook page, which is still available so get in there. I was really pleased when it came through my letter box and realised it had three samples in it. The samples have lasted me almost a week and a half. I was sent the light/medium colour. I was sceptical about this as I am quite olive skinned but it matched perfectly.

Garnier call this little beauty their "miracle skin perfecter" promising that the cream will reduce sun spots and imperfections and in just one application it will protect, moisturise, unify and brighten your skin. It can be used on it's own as a tinted moisturiser a makeup base or as a touch up on top of make up.

I had just got in from work and I couldn't wait to try the BB cream so I ripped open a packet and added a little on top of what remained of the makeup I had put on that morning. It instantly brightened my skin up - even my Mr commented that my skin looked "better" as he puts it. I have also tried the cream as a makeup base and on it's own.

I never thought I would get away with just a tinted moisturiser, but this truly makes my skin look fab. Garnier say you can even add a layer of the cream ,let it dry, and then add another layer on top to increase coverage. I have exceptionally oily skin so I have found that if i am wearing it on it's own i will need to add a powder to set it.

The product is currently avaliable from Boots.com for £9.99 for 50ml which is fantastic value for money. Foundation normally come in 25ml quantities. It last for ages too. It comes in Light/ Medium or Medium/dark. You can also still pick up a free sample from their Facebook.

I will definitely be buying this although i just spotted on Boots.com that the No7 BB cream has a higher star rating and comes in Normal/Dry or Normal/Oily so I might give this a go before I make a final decision. has anyone tried this one or know where I could get a sample ?

Niki Minaj OPI minis

I was so excited to try the Niki Minaj range for OPI but I thought going for this mini set was a great way to try them all out. It comes with four shades - which is not the full collection but its a great start. From left to right me have:

Did it on' em - a fantastic bright lime green colour, which I fund needs a couple of coats. In my pictures below all the colours have had two coats.
Fly - A kingfisher blue, which I wasn't that excited about I thought Niki Minaj range would have been a bit more wild.
Pink Friday - I love love LOVE this colour. Its what I decided to use after swatching them all and I will defiantly be buying the full size version of this.
Metallic for life - Probably my least favourite but I'm not really a fan of glitter. This would also need a black undercoat to really pop I think.

Feminine candy Colours are the latest trend for the upcoming Spring and summer lines. Personally I love it 1 Its flirty feminine and fun. I think I will need to jazz it up with accessories I don't like to look too girly. Need to be careful not to look like you have borrowed your outfit from your younger sister.

It is supposed to be amazing but I have never bothered to buy it because it has only ever been available from these TV shopping channels. I will definitely be giving it a go now. I have my wedding 9 weeks from today and I am hoping this is the miracle cure to my problem skin.

Have any of you guys tried it before ? Does it work ?

Fingers crossed it does exactly what it says on the tin. I will be ordering mine next friday (payday woohoo) and i will keep you posted on my results.

I don't k now about you guys but i HATE washing my make-up brushes. They take forever to dry and they are just never as good as new.
This new contraption from Sigma promises to quickly dry and shape your makeup brushes in three easy steps and in less than 6 hours.

STEP 1: Wash your brushes using a mild shampoo or brush cleanser.

STEP 2: Gently press the bristles to remove any excess water. Place the clean, damp brushes into the Dry’n Shape using the smallest band the brush will fit into. Make sure that all bristles are firmly compressed.

Boots 17 Cosmetics

I have been thinking about changing my foundation for the Bare minerals but my budget has been tight this month so i decided just to buy a cheap powder to get me through the month. I popped into my local Boots on my lunch break and was attracted to the cheap prices and current 3 for 2 promotion on the 17 cosmetics. Well if its 3 for 2 i may as well get a new mascara too ( My Last YSL Mascara was a disaster i will do a review on this asap, please do not waste your money on it) .

It cost me about £11 for all three products with the 3 for 2 promotion and as an added bonus i had enough advantage points to cover it. BARGAIN !!

The foundation and powder are amazing. I am so glad I tried these. I have always been nervous about buying new foundation, often been sucked in by sales girls telling me to buy £40+ numbers that have never went on as well as this foundation.

It goes on like a dream I use a Sigma Kabuki Brush to whiz mines on in about 2 minutes. It blend so well and i only need a tiny amount. I put my foundation on at around 6.30am and it has been lasting flawlessly until i get home at around 7pm. Even when i was sweating a bit on Saturday i added another quick layer of powder at around 3pm and my face looked as good as new. I dare say the condition of my skin is better, less oily. My fiancée and work colleagues both noticed instantly asked if I had changed my foundation.

I can not urge you enough to please try this foundation it is awesome.

The mascara isn't brilliant i would give that a miss. Makes my eyelashes look like they are about to snap off.

Nudie-Tude a d Life on the A List are my favourites i have had one or the other on everyday since i got this. The lip glosses are really thick and lovely giving a great colour pay off without being sticky. They smell great, they taste great and look great.

China Glaze Pink Voltage Nail Polish With Hardeners.

I absolutely love this nail polish. I had to apply two coat to get a good finish but it is fantasticly bright. It's perfect for this season's neon trend and i think it makes me look a little tanned which is always a bonus.

Pricey Petrol

Not sure about the rest of you but one of my biggest expenses each month is petrol. I drive in and out of Edinburgh for work and it cost a bomb.

http://www.petrolprices.com is a great website for finding the cheapest petrol prices in your area. There is a difference of 5p a litre for the petrol stations nearest to my work. That is a saving of almost £20 for me on a months worth of petrol. That menas after six months i could maybe treat myself to that clairisonic i was hoping santa was going to bring me.

Martin Lewis was on daybreak this morning giving us the best deals for cash rewards for switching your bank account. The average reward is around £100 !

These bank accounts are fee free as well i am currently getting charged £15 a month for I don't know what I for sure will be changing my account over. Its great to see thank banks are getting more competitive and we should all take up the offers to encourage them . For too long banks have got to charge ridiculous fees for a poor service. Make them work for your money, you had to.
