After spending some time trying to find out what was wrong with the font, I found this:

Trebuchet (which is the font that has been used) is actually a font invented for the electronic media - which means it is supposed to be very readable. In fact, After Verdana and Arial/Helvetica, it is the next best sans-serif font used in web typography.

The problem that can arise is when Trebuchet is used in small size. And so we shall make sure the font is of a bigger size if we decide to use Trebuchet.

Thanks for the comment on the blog. We'll be giving the site a total makeover sometime soon. Right now, we're too engaged in getting the software up and running. Hopefully that'll be done soon, and we can shift our focus towards publicising Recog.

Thanks for looking out for our website even before we launched it publicly(yes it was there but we did not start promoting it :)

And thanks for sharing the tip about using wordpress... But there are a few problems with that. We are currently hosted on a Windows server which does not support php hence Wordpress is really ruled out. About the functionality, you would be really really surprised by the amount of functionality that blogger provides via its APIs. It is way more powerful then wordpress.com if you want customizations...

And no We have not received them either :(... Hopefully we get them soon enough

ohk..nice to know that the reign of nocturnal creatures extends beyond our college(@BITS) to yours too! (lol)
btw you could consider switching to wordpress becoz thats more than just a blog...it could serve as a cms as well solving your website problems. Of course if you're planning anything extraordinary ill be on the lookout.
