2010 Monaco GP – Race result – Monaco win for Webber

Mark Webber won the 2010 Monaco GP. He also took the world championship lead. Sebastian Vettel completed 1-2 finish for Red Bull and lined up second in the championship with the same points total as Webber. Robert Kubica finished 3rd. The fourth place belongs to Felipe Massa, the fifth to Lewis Hamilton. Fernando Alonso who started from the pitlane climbed up to sixth place but lost it in the final corner to Michael Schumacher, just after the final restart of the race. The stewards decided that pass was illegal and added 20 seconds to Schumacher’s time. As a result Nico Rosberg finished 7th ahead of Force India cars of Sutil and Liuzzi. The only other cars that finished the race were two Toro Rossos with Buemi collecting his first point of the season.
There were several safety car deployments following crashes by Hulkenberg, Barrichello and the big one 3 laps from the end between Chandhok and Trulli. One more safety car was caused by loose drain cover.

Will Iron Man 2 do well in the U.S. as some have predicted? Apparently so, if you can go by box offices around the rest of the world this past weekend, according to comingsoon.net.
The sequel to the 2008 hit grossed $100.2 million in 53 countries worldwide over the weekend, according to numerous reports. Returns from the U.K. ($12.2 million), Mexico ($7.3 million) and Russia ($8.2 million) are way ahead of opening-weekend numbers for the first Iron Man, which bodes well for its domestic release on Friday (May 7).
You may remember that Iron Man made $102 million in its first weekend in U.S. theaters back in 2008. With the big “overseas” numbers, forecasters are predicting a $150 million-plus opening this Friday for Iron Man 2. If it lives up to expectations, it will easily pass Alice In Wonderland’s $116 million for the best opening weekend of the year.
A nine-figure opening in the United States would also mean that the movie would recoup its reported $200 million production budget in just one week.
However Iron Man 2 dominates the box office next week, its run at the top may not last an especially long time, as Avatar did in December and January. The summer movie season kicks off with its release, and it will face competition for the top spot from Robin Hood on May 14 and Shrek Forever After on May 21.
Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios opened the movie internationally a week early to give it more time before the World Cup starts on June 11th. The film grossed $2.25 million at 48 IMAX theaters around the world. That’s a new record for a 2D release, surpassing 2009’s Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen ($2.1 million). Directed by Jon Favreau, the movie stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, John Slattery, Kate Mara and Clark Gregg.

On the other hand, New Line/Warner Bros. remake A Nightmare On Elm Street dominated the United States’ box office, earning an estimated $32.2 million its first weekend. Made for about $30 million, the Samuel Bayer-directed film starred Jackie Earle Haley (from Watchmen and The Human Target) as Freddy Krueger, wasn’t quite able to match New Line’s 2009 remake Friday the 13th, which opened to $40.6 million and also carried a smaller budget of $19 million. In North America theaters, DreamWorks Animation’s How To Train Your Dragon continued to hold up well, taking in another $10.8 million in second place its sixth weekend for a total of $192.4 million. The movie cost about $165 million to produce.
Warner Bros. Pictures claimed the next two spots, with The Losers adding $6 million its second weekend for a total of $18.1 million and Clash Of The Titans taking in $5.98 million its fifth weekend for a total of $154 million.
Kick-Ass from Lionsgate lost over 50 percent in ticket sales during its third weekend. It made $4.5 million for a total of $42.2 million to date.

The program is intended to detect common problems and system damage commonly caused by computer viruses.

Boot Items

Network Activity Monitor, To monitor activity / status of the network and provides detailed information about the connection.

One thing that may be somewhat less than was lack of help files (manual) who speak English, the language of China and that too is still discussing version 2.5. Apart from that, the program is very useful and can run on operating systems: Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP 32bit, Server 2003 32bit, Vista 32bit, Server 2008 32bit.

Some tips and registry below I got from several sources and only applies untukWindows XP.
Before tinkering with the Registry, it is better we do the backup first.

Can’t play that favorite Rick Roll video of yours? No sound on Youtube or from your favorite audio player? No problem, we can help. In this first edition of Fix This!, we go into common issues Debian/Ubuntu users may experience with audio.
Common Problems:

No sound from any flash movie or clip on the internet regardless of browser or no matter what Driver you pick in System > Preferences > Sound, and hit “Test,” there is still no audio

I opened up youtube, played a video, now my media player on my machine won’t play my music library

I rebooted after updates and now I have no audio, rebooting does nothing

I have audio, but its really quiet or faint, I have to turn the volume all the way up just to hear something

I have no sound from my application

1. No sound from any flash movie or clip on the internet regardless of browser or none of the sound driver seem to work

This may be due to a recent update to your system or an application that broke the sound driver, or switched it to an incompatible one

You may be using a sound driver that just doesn’t “jive” with your system. Try going to System > Preferences > Sound, and chaning the entries in the pull down bars to “ALSA” and pressing test in each category. If you still have issues try a different driver fromt the list and make sure* the last pull down bar at the bottom is selecting your correct hardware, if not try switching that box as well to, for example “Intel xxxxx (ALSA)”

If you are using the ALSA driver, you may want to install the Gnome Alsamixer app to check your sound levels. Install this by doign “apt-get install gnome-alsamixer” as root. Application will be most likely placed in Applications > Accessories. Be sure to check that sound levels, especifally in “master” and “PCM” are up. PCM shoudl be 3/4 the way up. You may want to mae sure channels are not muted, such as “front” or “center” or “surround” possibly

2. I opened up youtube, played a video, now my media player on my machine won’t play my music library

This most likely indicates that you are using the ALSA sound driver. ALSA does not have the ability to play two sound streams at the same time. So, if you have a youtube video running or video stream on the internet up and running, you will not be able to hear that other media player such as Audacious or VLC.

Kill firefox or restart the machine to regain this. Usually killing firefox is enough.

To play two streams at once you make want to look into using the Pulse Audio driver, although I have never gotten to work on my hardware.

3. I rebooted after updates and now I have no audio, rebooting does nothing

As before, your sound driver may have been reset to its default driver or messed up in some cases.

Check that in System > Preferences > Sound, that should sound driver did not change from whatever you were using before (possibly ALSA) to something else.

Try installing “ALSA utilities and ALSA base” via apt-get in teh terminal. (I belive it would be alsa-utils, and alsa-base)

4. I have audio, but its really quiet or faint, I have to turn the volume all the way up just to hear something

Right Click your sound icon on the top gnome bar panel, and choose “sound manager” or “sound preferences.”

Make sure applicable tracks are raised to max, such as “master, front, center” and also make sure your “PCM” channel, or what is known as the “2 channel stero mixer” is 3/4 the way up

Install gnome-alsamixer as stated above and check all your sound levels if using the ALSA driver in System > Preferences Sound.

My girlfriend actually had to unmute and raise “center” on here hp laptop. All laptops and external speakers can be named differently, for instance, on my external Logitech Sound System, I only need “master” and “Front” to function, not even PCM, its handled internally for me.

5. I have no sound from my application

This is most likely due to the program using a different sound driver or architecture than what you system is set to

For instance, I myself use ALSA on my desktop as Pulse will not work for me. When I first ran Audacious and VLC I wondered why they were the only two apps not giving sound. Turns out in the “advanced” preferences of VLC and Audacious it was set to use Pulse Audio instead of ALSA. Chaning this to ALSA fixed things right up.

If you are sure* an application does not have a sound option for the driver to use, be sure to post your question on the Ubuntu Forums

Get Calcium Without Relying on Cow’s Milk

Last week I blogged about Mommy’s Milk Cheese. For the brave and vegan, this is likely a great way to receive vitamins and minerals like calcium in the diet.

For the less experimental, there are other ways to get your calcium sans dairy. (Though I’m not vegan, I have found that reducing my consumption of cow’s milk has lent to a general feeling of overall wellness, including clearer skin and easier digestion.)
Calcium-Rich, Non-Dairy Foods
1. Fortified beverages like O.J and soymilk. A six oz. serving of calcium fortified orange juice can provide as much as 20-25 percent of your daily value (DV). An eight oz. cup of soymilk can contain as much as 50 percent of your DV. Make sure to check the labels as different brands can vary in their nutritional content!
My tasty tip: Avoid the brands with added sugars. I always opt for unsweetened soymilk to shave out the hidden calories!
2. Steamed or sautéed greens. Turnip greens, kale and spinach pack the greatest calcium punch. Try not to overcook to avoid losing the nutrients.

There are two approaches to promote a new blog. One is you try to improve search engine rankings of your web pages for specific keywords. Another is you try to bring more traffic to your website through twitter and social networking websites. Both approaches are beneficial but the question is which one is more fruitful.
Twitter is a great way to bring more traffic to your site. If you have large number of friends or twitter followers, you can easily bring traffic to your new blog. You may also bring people who want to steal your content. If they have high page rank websites, they will rank better for the same blog post. Some bloggers are constantly looking to steal content from ghost authors. Twitter provides sudden burst of traffic which vanishes after some time. Few of them may like your content and become your loyal visitors.
If you take another approach to improve your search engine rankings, its a very slow process. Its very important to improve page rank to get traffic through search engines. Link building takes a long time. But, this way you get loyal visitors. People who came to your web page through search engines are more likely to be your permanent visitors as they came to your site because they were looking for you in the first place. Guest posting , blog commenting are slow methods but go a long way in improving search engine rankings and stable traffic.
Remember, methods which are more difficult and slow are more fruitful in the end. If you succeed in getting search engine rankings, you will start getting twitter followers automatically. So, my advice is strive for search engine rankings.
