So, a while ago I posted my review of the Kid-E-Cover. Jaelyn has since started crawling and getting into mischief, and it all happened so fast that I’m left scrambling to child-proof! Anyway, I really liked the Kid-E-Cover and thought it worked very well for us, so I decided that the Kid-E-Cover was the route I was going to take as far as childproofing the outlets. I ordered them from Amazon using my free Amazon Mom status. (The order even extended my Amazon Mom status for a month because it was a qualified Baby Store purchase.)

It’s not often that I see bloggers really (really, really) love review products enough to purchase it for themselves so I wanted to be sure to post and let everyone know that I honestly thought this product was great!  I ordered 10 covers (2 5-packs) and received them just a couple days later. Now all of my outlets are nice and covered and that’s one less thing to worry about!

My Thoughts:

It’s difficult for me to find time to read now that I have the little one and am trying to finish up my classes.  I’ve actually begun and lost interest in 3 books just because they didn’t hook me from the beginning.  If I’m going to read I want it to be enjoyable from the first word!  Erin Brockovich’s Rock Bottom succeeded in grabbing and keeping my interest.  Every page brought some new twist and it kept me guessing until the end. The narrative was refreshingly clean  which made it an easy read, and I enjoyed that there were excerpts from other characters’ points of view.

I missed that “I can’t wait to go to bed and read” feeling, and Rock Bottom definitely brought it back for me.  This is a great first novel for Erin Brockovich!

We recently had our apartment painted and I’m a little reluctant to put holes in the walls just yet. I’ve been on the hunt for some cute wall decals for both the baby’s room and the main room of the apartment.  I randomly checked out Totsy today and there is an awesome wall decal sale ($15!) going on for the next 12 hours.

I bought this ABC set for the baby’s room:

With that being said, the one thing I will never understand is when moms refuse to acknowledge other moms.  As an example, when I’m out walking with J in the stroller and pass another parent pushing a stroller, I always smile and say a quick hi.  I’m friendly in general, but I go the extra mile to try to be kind to others in my situation.   When the other parent doesn’t even flinch or – even worse – looks away… ugh, a little piece of my heart breaks.  Not really for me, but for their child.

Am I being overly sensitive?!
