I've been reading more and more on Motorola's new rumored-and-not-announced-yet Android phone, the Olympus. The rumored specs make it sound like a great device. A dual-core Tegra processor, 1080p video recording (!), two cameras and a flash.

I was one of the people who jumped onboard with the Samsung Captivate. So happy...at first. Went on a buisness trip to San Francisco, and when I go to use the stock Google Maps app, the GPS application freaks out and refuses to lock on to anything, spinning the map like a drunken teen on Spring Break.

So my boss decides to be a funny guy, and whips out his Droid X, and gleefully comments: "Need some help finding your way?" Ha ha ha. Stupid Captivate.

So once I get back home, I gather everything back up and take it back to the AT&T store. What did I get to replace it? A refurbed iPhone 4, 16GB. And for the most part, it's worked flawlessly. Now I've got the Android bug again, and since I'm stuck on AT&T, I either get another Captivate (hell no) or wait for new phones. And that's where the Olympus comes in.

I hear late January 2011 for this guy. Hopefully we'll know more in a couple of months at CES.
