Mitt Romney’s Hate Crimes as a student

The master bully, rich kid, strikes again....

Mitt Romney returned from a three-week spring break in 1965 to resume his studies as a high school senior at the prestigious Cranbrook School. Back on the handsome campus, studded with Tudor brick buildings and manicured fields, he spotted something he thought did not belong at a school where the boys wore ties and carried briefcases. John Lauber, a soft-spoken new student one year behind Romney, was perpetually teased for his nonconformity and presumed homosexuality. Now he was walking around the all-boys school with bleached-blond hair that draped over one eye, and Romney wasn’t having it.

“He can’t look like that. That’s wrong. Just look at him!” an incensed Romney told Matthew Friedemann, his close friend in the Stevens Hall dorm, according to Friedemann’s recollection. Mitt, the teenaged son of Michigan Gov. George Romney, kept complaining about Lauber’s look, Friedemann recalled.

A few days later, Friedemann entered Stevens Hall off the school’s collegiate quad to find Romney marching out of his own room ahead of a prep school posse shouting about their plan to cut Lauber’s hair. Friedemann followed them to a nearby room where they came upon Lauber, tackled him and pinned him to the ground. As Lauber, his eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors.

So harassing a possible outcast and homosexual classmate of yours is ok and the cool thing to do when you are in school and have more money than brains.
This seems to be a blatant case of gay bashing and I'd even go as far to say a hate crime that went unpunished.

It goes to show the real character of Mitt Romney and his lack of caring or compassion for those who are different or less wealthy than he is.

They very fact he laughs about his youthful transgressions and almost blows them off shows he lacks the moral compass and character to be president of the United States.

The truth will set you free or at least stop your demented, rich ass from becoming president and for that, I truly Thank God!

I honestly don't think so.

I find it hard to believe that most evangelical deep south Christians will come out to the polls and vote for a Mormon in huge numbers.
I think this moral compass will be too large of a stumbling block for many to overcome.
Especially these "values" Republican voters that want to think they are voting with their beliefs and morals

The only real shot I see for Romney is the long shot that his V.P. candidate must be a super star.
I'm talking along the lines of the same problem the failed McCain campaign had.
This person must be such a super star that he or she over shadows even the presidential candidate himself.
Then of course, you run the risk of this person steeling the luster from a well oiled campaign.

I just feel deep inside, at the end of the day, if a values voter has to chose between voting for Romney or Obama, they will simply stay at home.
This kills any chance Romney has of winning and plays into the Obama play book.

Having all the money in the world is nice Mitt, but at the end of the day, money alone will not buy you a presidency and you end up looking more like Walter Mondale every day.
I still feel that this will be a landslide re-election bid for the president and the rest will be history.

I guess only time can really tell....

Indiana voters say no to Lugar, yes to Tea Party B.S.

People in Indiana came to the polls in resounding numbers and gave new life to the floundering tea party movement. The Tea Party candidate, Richard Mourdock took an amazing 61% or 403,293 votes to Richard Lugar's pathetic showing of 39% or 262388 votes.

I personally don't understand how people in Indiana rationalize how they vote.

They'd rather put a person in power in Mourdock who is ill advised, squandered millions as former state treasurer and didn't show up to work greater than 60% of the time, than go with the trusted and tried leader that Lugar was for being on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and spear heading reductions in nuclear arms with Russia.

In my eyes, if it isn't broke don't fix it. Super-Pac's spent millions influencing this race and Hoosier's votes and in the end smeared the namesake of a honorable and trusted long time Indiana institution in Lugar.
Mourdock, being a freshman Senator, assuming he wins, will have no seats on powerful committee's and won't have the influence and power the once mighty Lugar did.

I just think, once again, Hoosier's dropped the ball and now the entire country will pay for the lack of just prudence by Indiana voters.
