I played around in my mini Moleskin watercolor journal and created a color zentangle. The other photos are of recent treasures found at thrift stores. Yes, Virginia, there is some white organza - part of a recent bridal gown acquisition at Goodwill Weigh & Pay.

I wanted something to start off today's blog entry of photos. These were shot with my Canon EOS 50D Digital SLR. Heavy but it takes GREAT photos. And it helps that the woman behind the camera is a fantastic photographer.
This is one of my bride dolls standing next to a small mannequin from Marshal's. Yes, the bride seems to be thinking, "Is this the right man for me?"

Blackberry camera works fairly well, most of the time.
This is Dr. Kent Winkler, MD, my cardiologist. Love having a handsome physician.
This was taken with the Blackberry when I was walking at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff last Fall.
And this is a great photo of milkweed at Buffalo Park last Fall.
I joined an online Journal Workshop hosted by Christina Zinnia Gallaher of Roses on My Table. This is my January response to the journal prompt: NEW IN MY LIFE. I started this art journal spread with some collage elements then painted over them because I didn't like what I saw. I followed by using Glimmer Mist and Walnut Ink then added more collage elements.
The 4th layer of elements included doodling and journaling.
More doodling completed the art journal spread. I used washi tape for a frame.
More spray inks, white pen, charcoal pen and smudge stick plus doodling and it's finished. It was fun and I'm ready to start a new January response to the journal prompt - NEW IN MY LIFE.
This is something new for me. The first two art journal spreads included doodling on a white page. This time, I experimented with paint and paper elements. I'm not as afraid of the blank white page anymore.
