Hello RMC Players!

I just wanted to give an update that we're on the verge of moving our game servers to all new hardware! We'll be doing a lot of work this Sunday, December 8th. There may be some down time during the transition. More information will be released as work begins.

Server Status

We know we are having some server issues right now, and we have an open ticket with our datacenter. We are doing our best to resolve the issues at hand.
That being said, we are proud to announce that we have ordered our new server, and our RMC Engineers are waiting with bated breath to build our new server environment out.
The new server and the client patch are being timed to be released at the same time.

Update:
The new server is online, and our Engineers are working on building the new systems for the New Redmoon Classic!

I apologize for the server downtime. I made a minor change earlier, but it was apparently too much for the server to handle. I'm looking into a new way to do this, and the team is working hard on the new farm! Thank you all for being so patient!

Double Experience Event!

Double Experience will be starting after a reboot (in about 5 minutes)!
We will need another reboot this weekend, and the double experience will continue until then.
Updates will be posted here as our plans are ironed out more.

To teleport to the honor map, type !!!honor
To teleport to Freedom Village, type !!!fv

We let a monkey into the server room and he decided to go crazy and launch the shapeshift event. Have fun!

Shapeshift has ended. Thanks all to participated!
You will have a week to use the poison pill you have been mailed. If you haven't used it by then, your stats will be force reset, and you will be warped back to Street 2.

End of Double Experience, Army bugs and more!

Double experience is now over. Thanks everyone who participated!

We have received some reports from players yesterday that some army functions aren't working, and that a war got bugged. We are rebooting the server, which will likely resolve it. If you see anything not working right, please let me know immediately. I will address the issue as soon as possible.

Additionally, we are starting a new event!
The amount of army points gained for leveling sunsets, and leveling past 1000 have been TRIPLED.

I am working on another part of this event, but unfortunately it has to be put on hold! (Meeting time)

Server Crash

We just came back up from an unexpected server crash. We are investigating the cause, and will take steps to prevent it in the future. RMC should be up and running again, although some database tables did take some damage and will need repairing, so some features on the wiki will likely be down.

Return of the Honor and Teleport Event!

Since we've hit some delays on bringing some new events your way, I thought it might be appreciated to start up our honor/teleport event again!

If you are needing to switch your honor, type !!!honor and you will be sent to the event map filled with Bucci. These Bucci are all 10 power and 10 strength so they wont hurt you... much.

To go along with it, type !!!street2 or !!!fv to get teleported to street2 or fv. Using this is the way out of the event map as well. Be VERY CAREFUL however, because both commands do NOT send you to a safe location. Only use !!!fv if you can survive the mobs attacking you in fv.

For you, directionally challenged, people, after using the fv teleport command run a tiny bit south and you will get to the base.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but we just had an unexpected server outage. We are following up with our hosting company to get to the bottom of this, so that we may prevent it in the future. The server is launching again now.

Update: The event is over! We had a LARGE number of players enjoying the event, and so it ran a bit long.
Last night we had some server issues, recovering from a technical issue we had in the past, which caused a temporary server outage--I apologize for that. We are back up and running better than before now though, and said issue should not arise again in the future.
We have a number of projects in the work for our faithful players, so keep your eyes open. Also, we are bringing back a few features that have fallen off the map or have broken.
