How to enable JavaScript Code in Windows 7?

Recently, when I tried to install VMware Player on my Dell Machine, I encountered with blank screen upon setup initialization.

I was very frustrated, and annoyed. Googled almost for 3 hours before I discovered this awesome solution. Before I tell you the solution, keep in mind because of this error/problem my gadgets on desktop weren't showing either!

Okay cutting the long story short:

One of Microsoft updates screws up the Internet Zone settings in the registry, and this is why Javascript is not called in applications. To fix this open the registry editor
>>> (Start > Run > regedit.exe)
and search the entry
>>> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\
There you should have some folders 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. In my case I had a folder named "L" before the 0.
If you have this, delete the "L" Folder and restart your System.

Afterwards the installer should work again like it's supposed to be.

Unfortunately, despite claims of being Windows 7 "compatible," a number of functions do not work properly in that environment. If you're using Windows 7, I'd recommend holding off on System Spec for now. If you're using an older version of Windows and have ever needed to know this sort of information, System Spec is a good bet. It's free and simple to use.

Japanese math textbooks are being translated into English and other languages and are gaining popularity in countries like the United States and Singapore. One educator commented that even though the books are thin, they are rich in content and have impressed American high school teachers, some of whom are using them in class. It has been said for some years that Japan possesses high standards of basic math education, but Japanese textbook publishers are nevertheless pleased to see that their efforts are contributing to the improvement of instruction in arithmetic around the world.

Appearing in US Classrooms
Textbook publisher Tokyo Shoseki Co., which commands the largest share of Japan's elementary-school mathematics textbook market, translated its 2000 edition of Atarashii sansu (New Arithmetic) into English in April. Another publisher, Gakko Tosho Co., published an English version of one of its arithmetic textbooks last spring. Tokyo Shoseki's translated text has been praised for its excellent content and natural English. Since going on sale, the text has been used in elementary schools in the United States and is also drawing attention from teachers in Singapore and other Asian countries. Gakko Tosho's translated textbooks are even being utilized in the English curriculums at some private schools in Japan. They have also found use as supplementary learning materials or as main textbooks in the United States and the Marshall Islands.

Understanding Concepts
The main reason behind the popularity of Japanese textbooks abroad is that they explain the underlying concepts needed to solve mathematical problems. Many American math textbooks contain superficial content that often overlaps between grade levels and focuses on memorizing information and completing exercises. Proponents of math education reform in the US have shown strong interest in the Japanese approach. The 1999 book The Teaching Gap, which introduced Japanese teaching methods in mathematics to an American audience, was so popular it became a bestseller.

One math education expert points out that the teaching materials currently receiving acclaim outside Japan do not go beyond the level of basic arithmetic. Still, even if only at the elementary-school level, it appears that Japanese math textbooks are poised to become an increasingly common sight in classrooms around the world.

Get Ready for WiGig Wireless Speeds Up to 7 Gigabits

Wireless transmission speeds in your home or business as fast as 7 gigabits per second. That’s the vision of the next generation of WiFi, called WiGig, offered in a cooperation agreement announced Monday between the Wi-Fi Alliance and the WiGig Alliance.

The two industry groups said that they will share technology specification for the creation of a Wi-Fi Alliance certification for operation at 60 GHz. Current Wi-Fi network supports 2.4 and 5 GHz. Downward compatibility to the current spec is expected in many devices that will support WiGig.

Tri-Band Wi-Fi

The top transmission rate of 7 Gbps is more than ten times faster than the highest 802.11N Wi-Fi rate. The organizations said that protocol adaptation layers, now in development, will support different device architectures, including PC data buses and displays such as HD TVs, monitors, and projectors.

Both organizations have been working toward faster transmission protocols, and both share many member companies in common. For example, Cisco, Dell, Intel, Microsoft, NEC, and Panasonic are members of both groups.

What Kind of Apps?

One question is what kind of applications used in homes and businesses could benefit from such high wireless speeds. Avi Greengart, an analyst with industry research firm Current Analysis, pointed to synchronization of content as one possible use case. He noted that most synchronization between devices takes place over wires, and often requires the transfer of large files such as music or video.
He noted that another possible use is backup to a central hard drive, which again often utilizes wires. Both of these utility services could become an automated occurrence for every device — and, if widely adopted, very high local transmission speeds could mean that virtually every device becomes wireless.

This could also include high-definition TVs, Blu-ray DVD players, and HD cameras that didn’t rely on wires for their display. Standards for that purpose have already been developed by such groups as the WirelessHD Alliance, but they are just being adopted.

iPad can run not only windows 98 but XP too

Who would’ve thought the iPad would be so compatible with windows OS? First it ran Windows 95 and now it is running windows XP, When can we expect to see windows 7 to run on this thing?

Apple fans across the globe can’t bear to watch the video, their favorite $500 tablet can not only run MAC but apparently its backwards compatible with practically every windows OS (almost) mostly the old OS’s but still this is a great improvement i suppose, at least windows fans can install XP and use the iPad more comfortably i suppose.

Dave Soble the man who installed windows XP on the iPad says it took him five minutes to install the OS using VMWare.

“WePad” will it be the Rival for iPad?

What I got today is new and also the rival to the new Apple iPad. This thing is built by the German maker of a new PC. Well it is bit alike and also with wide screen, a webcam and also USB ports.

I must say it’s not the iPad killer however. It the new WePad tablet PC; Neofonie GmbH’s founder and managing director Helmut Hoffer von Ankershoffen told reporters on Monday in Berlin.

Well this thing is kind of very easy to handle and operate. For all of you who want to put their favorite music straight into the WePad, he can do it without any software. But on the other hand for songs/music in iPad you need to have the iTunes with you installed.

WePad initial version is the basic one with 16-GB storage and also most important these days is Wi-Fi, its cost is round about $600 and also with some more cost you can have it with 32-GB storage and more faster 3G modem.
Ankershoffen claimed that given its technological superiority and greater openness, “that’s a bargain compared with the iPad.”

Google has made a powerful decision on web of finally adding one of the biggest oversights to the Web-based version of its Google Talk service: size limit-free, P2P file transfers.

The feature, which has been a part of the service’s desktop software since mid-2006, went live on the Google Talk widgets inside of iGoogle and Orkut on Monday.

The endgame here–which Google says is coming, is to bring file-sharing into Gmail’s integrated Google Talk. It’s an interesting update to Yahoo Mail, which is the most widely used Web e-mail service in the world, according to ComScore statistics from last year. Ask any software literate guy "Can windows be pirated if Microsoft does not want it to?". Person will reply with "no!". The aim of this post is to educate the amateur tweeple (twitter people) who recently joined. It is a fact that twitter seems boring at first. Many people creates account and then leave it; it requires attention.
