Y amarás a Jehová tu Dios, de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y con todas tus fuerzas.
Deuteronomio 6:5.
El problema, para entender correctamente este versículo, es el hecho de que vivimos en días en que prácticamente se ha vulgarizado la palabra amor; tal vez, por lo limitado de los idiomas latinos. En estos idiomas, se "ama" a todo: la comida, al perrito, a la esposa, a Dios, a la iglesia, la profesión, en fin... No existen varias palabras para definir o diferenciar el amor por una u otra cosa. Pero, en el griego y el hebreo, no sucede lo mismo.
En este versículo, por ejemplo, en el original hebreo la palabra "amor" es ahab, que refiere a un amor consciente, con propósito; un amor racional. No es solo un amor sentimental, sino un amor responsable; un amor que tiene que ser así, no puede ser de otra forma. Es un amor que existe porque la mente dice que eso es lo correcto, aunque para eso sea necesario la renuncia, la entrega y el sacrificio.
Este tipo de amor no es fácil de ser entendido. Desdichadamente, el amor, como principio, se ha transformado apenas en amor romántico, de poesía y de música, desprovisto de acciones y hasta de lógica.
Dios espera de su pueblo un amor completo: con la mente, con el cuerpo, con el ser entero; no un amor dividido ni a medias. Cuando el ser humano trata de amar a medias, se divide a sí mismo, y eso lo vuelve infeliz. Para que algo te satisfaga, tienes que hacerlo con tu ser entero; de otro modo, corres el riesgo de hacerte infeliz, incompleto y vacío.
Pero, la voluntad de Dios es más grande, todavía: él espera que un amor así lleve al ser humano a amar, también, a su prójimo, es decir, a las otras personas, del mismo modo que ama a Dios.

Solo porque es una orden? No: los consejos divinos tienen, como pro pósito, hacerte feliz. Es de lamentar que, para entender algo tan simple, mu chas veces sea necesario sufrir y llegar a la desesperación. Pero, finalmente, es por medio del dolor que llegamos a nacer del Espíritu; y solo entonces el amor auténtico, verdadero y genuino se manifiesta, en la vida, como un fruto.
Con esto en mente, comienza el día recordando: "Amarás a Jehová tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y con todas tus fuerzas"

Do you know your ceviche from your churrasco, your caju from your cassava cheesebread? You may soon wish to find out. South American cuisine is leaving foodies salivating. Experts including Ferran Adria, one of the world's leading chefs, are tipping these dishes as the next gastronomic in-thing.

Some predict the potential of Latin American-inspired menus could see restaurants and food shops quickly springing up nationwide. Next month, pioneering restaurateurs David Ponte and Jamie Barber are set to launch Cabana, a Brazilian barbecue, in London's West End and at Stratford's Westfield shopping centre.

Two more restaurants, Ceviche in Soho and Lima in Shoreditch, both in central London, are also due to open next year. The South American-inspired restaurant chain Las Iguanas is opening in Newcastle and Sheffield this month, while Rodizio Rico, which has four Brazilian restaurants in London, will expand to Birmingham, and the Argentine grill De la Panza ("All about the belly") opened in Islington, in north London, this month.

Mr Adria, who is making a documentary about the world of food in Peru – known as the land of a thousand flavours – said: "Latin America is living through a very important cultural euphoria through its cuisine. In particular, Peru is experiencing socio-cultural phenomena through gastronomy. There is no other country that I know of where this is happening as it is in Peru."

Virgilio Martinez, the chef behind the London Lima restaurant, said more than 8,000 people in Lima who are training as chefs would fuel the renaissance. "Peruvian cuisine is not well known in London, a city that offers a lot gastronomically. The lives of Peruvians revolve around food, cooking, eating and new ingredients."

Mr Ponte said: "It's undiscovered, yet Latin America is at the top of everyone's thoughts: Rio is now the most visited city in the southern hemisphere." He believes political troubles on the continent have indirectly slowed the journey of Latin American food, which, compared with Asian cuisine, is relatively unknown.

The reputation of Argentinian and Brazilian cuts of meat, offered at steakhouses such as Gaucho, has led to an increase in popularity, with the well-known Ginger Pig butcher chain introducing Brazilian picanha beef cuts over the past six months. Gabriel Gaya, head of Gaya Ecotrade, a Brazilian food importer, finds acai berries and cassava cheesebread are now some of his best-selling imports. Other sought-after treats include Colombian chocolate. Mauricio Rodriguez, the Colombian ambassador to the UK, said: "This is going to be the decade of Latin America. People are discovering exotic flavours and wonderful fruits: they're looking for something new." With visitors to Colombia rising by 35 per cent last year, exposure to food from chefs such as Leonor Espinosa whets their tastebuds, he said.

Brazil's hosting the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games is also expected to boost interest in the continent. High street supermarkets are, meanwhile, eyeing up opportunities. Romilly Edelmann, Sainsbury's product developer, said: "The success of our new Mexican range means we are looking at other cuisines from South and Central America. We think next year will be an exciting time for new tastes."

Y muchos de los sacerdotes, de los levitas y de los jefes de casas paternas, ancianos que habían visto la casa primera, viendo echar los cimientos de esta casa, lloraban en alta voz, mientras muchos otros daban grandes gritos de alegría. Esdras 3:12.El Templo de Jerusalén era el orgullo del pueblo de Israel. Y por eso, al volver del exilio babilónico, la primera actividad fue reconstruirlo: todo el material sería recaudado, y el primer paso sería revisar los fundamentos.
Era día de fiesta para el pueblo: el mayor símbolo de su fe estaba siendo, finalmente, reconstruido. El cuerpo sacerdotal estaba en su puesto; cantores e instrumentistas, listos para la adoración a Dios; gritos de alegría y de rego cijo se oían a lo lejos. También el lloro. ¿Lloro?

En medio del pueblo, algunos dirigentes que habían visto la gloria del primer Templo, hecho por Salomón, al mirar los fundamentos del nuevo Templo, percibieron que era menor; los recursos eran pocos: la gloria de este nuevo Templo no podría ser comparada con la gloria del Templo de Salomón. La única emoción de ese día fue la tristeza. Y el llanto era tan alto como los gritos de alegría. En la misma escena, unos felices y otros tristes.La diferencia es la manera en que decidimos encarar la vida: existen per sonas que solo ven tristeza, problemas y cielo nublado. Pasan por la vida lamentándose por la falta de oportunidades y de atención. Van por la vida llorando; no encuentran motivos para sonreír. ¡A pesar de estar frente a las grandes bendiciones de Dios!La reconstrucción del Templo era una prueba de que Dios les estaba brindando una nueva oportunidad. Este nuevo día también es una nueva oportunidad para ti. No pierdas el tiempo mirando hacia atrás, con tristeza y rencor. Mira hacia adelante con esperanza, y con la seguridad de que ven drán días mejores.

¿Andarán dos juntos, si no estuvieren de acuerdo? Amos 3:3.
“Pastor", me preguntaba un adolescente, "¿cómo puedo saber si estoy haciendo la voluntad de Dios?" Esa es la pregunta que todos. El razonamiento es simple: si hago la voluntad de Dios, seré bendecido; pero, ¿cómo puedo conocer la voluntad de Dios?

La expresión "acuerdo", encontrada en el texto de hoy, proviene del hebraico miphal, que significa "encontrar"; es decir, para que dos personas anden juntas, hagan un viaje juntas o sigan la jornada juntas, es necesario primero que se encuentren. Pastor, ¿cómo saber cuál es la voluntad de Dios para mi vida? El secreto es simple: encuéntrate con Dios. Si yo quiero andar la jornada de mi vida con Dios, haciendo su voluntad y recibiendo sus bendiciones, primero necesito encontrarme con él.

¿Qué significa encontrarse con Dios? Continuemos usando el ejemplo del viaje. Antes de iniciar un viaje es necesario hacer planes. Y si voy a viajar con alguien, esos planes deben ser compartidos.

Con Dios funciona de la misma forma. Voy a su presencia y le muestro mis planes, le abro mi corazón. Le digo mis miedos, mis dudas, mis limita ciones, adónde quiero ir, lo que quiero y necesito hacer, todo. Eso es orar.
Pero en un viaje no habla solo uno. Con Dios es lo mismo. Ahora que terminaste de hablar es hora de escuchar lo que él tiene para decirte, cuáles son sus planes, los caminos que tiene para ti, por dónde quiete conducirte, los cuidados que debes tomar.

¿Pero cómo oír su voz? Si hablar es orar, oír es leer. Leer la Biblia, beber de la Palabra de Dios, profundizarte en las revelaciones que Dios dejó en su Palabra.
Algunas personas esperan que Dios les revele algo nuevo y diferente de lo que está escrito en la Biblia. Generalmente esa es una disculpa para hacer lo que ya vieron que Dios no aprueba.
¿Quieres ser feliz? ¿Quieres vivir un día de bendiciones?, el secreto es simple. Ve al encuentro de tu Dios, porque "¿andarán dos juntos, s¡ no estu vieren de acuerdo?"

The text messages of a dying man reveal a lot about who he was. Larry Melzer, 37, was losing his 17-month battle with leukemia. Lying in a bed in an Israeli hospital, suffering from viral pneumonia after a bone marrow transplant, Larry was on a respirator. His four little daughters were at home in Jerusalem. Larry’s devoted wife Jen was at his bedside. Shabbat was approaching. Larry could not eat, drink, nor speak, but his fingers kept maneuvering his iPhone.

Shortly before Shabbat, Larry received a text message from a friend who was also battling cancer, commiserating how dreary it was to spend Shabbat in the hospital. After Shabbat the same friend wrote:

Thinking of u. Hope Shabbos was bearable!

Larry texted back:

It was great, jen was here, don’t worry it will be great

Great? He was hooked up to 15 separate antibiotic infusions, his once-athletic six-foot frame was shriveled, his handsome face aged and wizened. He had endured a Shabbat without reciting Kiddush, eating challah, singing songs, enjoying food, or embracing his beloved children. The only bright spot was that his faithful wife Jen was there. Yet Larry considered that Shabbat, “great.”

In great pain due to sores from radiation, while receiving an emergency blood transfusion, Larry said with a smile, "I’m so happy.”

A few months prior, Larry had been rushed from Jerusalem to a hospital in Haifa. As his friend Daniel Irom relates: “After a long drive, after he hadn’t slept in a few days due to being on large doses of steroids, while in great pain due to mouth and throat sores from radiation, while receiving an emergency blood transfusion, Larry turned to me with a smile that seemed to come from Heaven and said, ‘I’m so happy.’”

What was he happy about?

Larry and Jen, at the peak of their successful Yahoo careers, had a fabulous Manhattan apartment, an SUV, many DINK [Double Income No Kids] friends, and two dogs. Then they started to become interested in their Jewish heritage. In 2004, they went to Jerusalem for a six-month sabbatical to study Judaism.

There Larry fell in love with Judaism. With his personal charisma and passionate personality, he reached out to share his enthusiasm with everyone he met. While continuing to enjoy the pleasures of the physical world, he infused them with a spiritual awareness and appreciation. “More than once,” relates Gabi Leventhal, “I would be enjoying a wine, a whiskey, a delicious meal with Larry, and before we began to fulfill our appetites, Larry would redirect everyone and talk about all the kindnesses that God has done for him and for everyone else present." He transformed the enjoyment of eating to a sublime state of gratitude.

Eric Rayburn, a former single from Manhattan, recounts a conversation he had with Larry during the period of his struggling to adjust to the Spartan standard of Jerusalem while learning at Aish HaTorah. Larry said to him: “Jerusalem! This is the Wall Street of Judaism. Do you know how many people would love to trade places with you?”

“But, Larry,” Eric protested, “I live in a room without a window and it’s smaller than the second bathroom where I used to live!”

"The key is appreciating what you have. Every second is a precious million- dollar gift."

Larry, in a corporate business manager tone, replied: “I understand, and you are so lucky that the Almighty has invested His time in you to teach you how to appreciate more with less.”

“To appreciate more with less” became Larry’s approach to life. A month before he died, he posted this blog on his website:

Fighting Leukemia for me is about becoming unspoiled. I feel like I went from being a spoiled baby to a mature adult during this 16 month process. I have a zest for life I never had before!
This zest for life is indescribable. How can I possibly communicate being able to see the hand of God in everything? I live in a world where everything is perfect.
The key is appreciating what you have…. Every second is a precious million dollar gift.

Sukkot and Happiness

Sukkot is the holiday of “back to basics.” For seven days (eight in the Diaspora), we move out of our comfortable home into a flimsy sukkah. We leave behind the central heating, the furniture, the posturepedic mattress, the recessed lighting, the carpets, the hardwood flooring, the DVD player, the flat-screen TV, and—how spoiled can you get?—the rain-impervious roof. Yet this is the holiday when we have a mitzvah to be especially happy! What exactly are we supposed to be happy about?

In the snuggest juxtaposition in the Jewish calendar, Sukkot comes a mere five days after Yom Kippur. On Yom Kippur, the day when every person’s destiny for the year is sealed, we pray and plead for life. Yes, we also pray for good health, livelihood, marriage, children, a new job, and whatever else we relish, but most of all we pray for life.

Then here we are, five days later, in our cramped, no-frills sukkah. We don’t have our creature comforts or our hi-tech pleasures, but we do have—life. We have no guarantee that we’ll be alive a few months—or even a few days—from now. But right now, sitting on a folding chair in the sukkah, we have life, the fulfillment of our cherished desire. Of course we should rejoice in it.

We also have relationships. No one builds a one-person sukkah. We sit in the sukkah with family — parents/siblings/spouse/children. If Larry Melzer could consider his deathbed Shabbat “great” simply because his wife was with him, how can we not appreciate that greatest accoutrement to life: relationship? The presence of a loved one turns a house into a home and a sukkah into a sanctuary.

There’s one more ingredient to the joy of Sukkot. On Yom Kippur we are cleansed of all the tainting culpability that has tinged us throughout the year. We emerge from Yom Kippur pure and perfectly prepared for the closeness to God that the sukkah affords.

A simple formula: appreciate life, relationships, and closeness to God. That’s a lot to be happy about.

Larry's Final Words

For both Larry and Jen, the fact that he was dying was no excuse to stop living. At one point, after ten rounds of chemo, Larry was in remission. It seemed like he would make it, after all. Then his doctor in Haifa told Larry that she was 95% sure that he was no longer in remission. Larry phoned Jen to break the news. “Jenny, the doctor said I relapsed.”

Jen, devastated but always encouraging, replied: “It’s going to be okay.”

Sobbing, Larry continued: “The doctor wants to talk to you about when I’m going to restart chemo. She says I have to restart chemo tomorrow.” Larry paused, collected himself, and said cheerily, “But tonight let’s have a date night. Let’s go out to dinner.”

“That’s a good idea,” she enthused. “We need to have fun, not worry about it.”

He left me with a big sack of faith. That’s how a young widow with four children can face the world with a genuine smile.

“Larry had unbounded faith,” Jen recalls. “On the day he got the original diagnosis, when they told him he had a matter of days to live, Larry said to me, ‘All news is good news.’ He meant that everything is from God and therefore everything is for the good. That’s what he left me with, a big sack of faith. And that’s how, as a young widow with four children, I can face the world with a genuine smile.”

At the end, losing the battle against viral pneumonia, Larry's doctors decided to induce a coma. At that point, Jen had been with her husband for five days, around the clock. Larry clasped her hand, looked into her eyes, and with gasping breath, said, “Thank you.”

“It was clear to me, “ Jen recalls, “that Larry was thanking me for everything I had done for him during the last 17 months, for getting his medications and making sure he took them, for feeding him, being his personal nurse, taking care of the kids single-handedly, paying bills, food shopping, and keeping the family afloat. He knew he was coming to his end, so he left nothing unsaid. He thanked me. It meant: I love you; you did everything right.”

Larry knew only one way to say good-bye: Thank you.

Una señora de 98 años llamada Irena acaba de fallecer. Durante la Segunda Guerra mundial, Irena consiguió un permiso para trabajar en el Ghetto de Varsovia, como especialista de alcantarillado y tuberías.
Pero sus planes iban mas allá...
Sabía cuáles eran los planes de los nazis para los judíos (siendo alemana).
Irena pasaba niños escondidos en el fondo de su caja de herramientas y llevaba un saco de arpillera en la parte de atrás de su camioneta (para niños de mayor tamaño). También llevaba en la parte de atrás un perro al que entrenó para ladrar a los soldados nazis cuando salía y entraba del Ghetto.
Por supuesto, los soldados no querían tener nada que ver con el perro y los ladridos ocultaban los ruidos de los niños.
Mientras estuvo haciendo esto consiguió sacar y salvar a 2500 niños.
Los nazis la atraparon y le rompieron ambas piernas y los brazos...
Irena mantenía un registro de los nombres de todos lo niños que sacó y lo guardaba en un tarro de cristal enterrado bajo un árbol en su jardín.
Después de la guerra, intentó localizar a los padres que pudieran haber sobrevivido y reunir a la familia. La mayoría habían sido llevados a la cámara de gas. Aquellos niños a los que ayudó encontraron casas de acogida o fueron adoptados.

El año pasado Irena fue propuesta para recibir el Premio Nobel de la Paz.
Pero no fue seleccionada.
Ese premio se lo llevó Al Gore, por unas diapositivas sobre el Calentamiento Global... y en 2009, Obama sólo por buenas intenciones.

Carla sabía que la noche de aquel domingo marcaría su vida para siem pre. Era una noche fría; la más fría de todas las que había vivido al lado de su joven esposo. Las cortinas se movían con el viento helado; pero ni siquiera el aire de la noche era capaz de apagar la ira de su corazón. algo así! Pero, defi nitivamente él se arrepentiría de haberlo hecho: ella le pagaría con la misma moneda.
Saltó de su inercia. No miró el reloj; cualquier hora daba lo mismo para lo que pensaba hacer. Se vistió con prisa; pasó sus dedos entre su cabello negro, tratando de alisarlo. Tomó su bolso, cruzó el umbral y se perdió en la noche oscura y fría de su dolor de esposa traicionada.

A partir de aquel día, las noches de Carla se hicieron cada vez más os curas y frías. Su dolor aumentaba. Ya no le dolía la traición del esposo: la atormentaba su propia traición. Se había vengado; había hecho "justicia" por sus propias manos. Pero aquel acto, provocado por la ira, solo le causó amargura; una amargura tan densa como sus densas noches frías y oscuras. Acabó en el consultorio de un psicólogo.
El consejo bíblico de hoy es: Deja la justicia con Dios; él no puede ser burlado. La persona que te hirió puede parecer victoriosa hoy y mañana, pero los actos de justicia divinos llegan oportunamente, llegan a su debido tiempo.

No te atrevas a llamar justicia al acto impensado provocado por la ira; las prisiones están llenas de gente que solo quiso hacer "justicia".
Las prisiones del alma también abrigan, en sus celdas, a gente herida que, como Carla, se dejó llevar por la ira. La ira humana no combina con la justicia divina: solo Dios sabe permitir que el ser humano coseche el fruto maduro de vivir perjudicando al otro.

A story of friendship between muslims and jews

PARIS — The stories of the Holocaust have been documented, distorted, clarified and filtered through memory. Yet new stories keep coming, occasionally altering the grand, incomplete mosaic of Holocaust history.

One of them, dramatized in a French film released here last week, focuses on an unlikely savior of Jews during the Nazi occupation of France: the rector of a Paris mosque.

Muslims, it seems, rescued Jews from the Nazis.

“Les Hommes Libres” (“Free Men”) is a tale of courage not found in French textbooks. According to the story, Si Kaddour Benghabrit, the founder and rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris, provided refuge and certificates of Muslim identity to a small number of Jews to allow them to evade arrest and deportation.

It was simpler than it sounds. In the early 1940s France was home to a large population of North Africans, including thousands of Sephardic Jews. The Jews spoke Arabic and shared many of the same traditions and everyday habits as the Arabs. Neither Muslims nor Jews ate pork. Both Muslim and Jewish men were circumcised. Muslim and Jewish names were often similar.

The mosque, a tiled, walled fortress the size of a city block on the Left Bank, served as a place to pray, certainly, but also as an oasis of calm where visitors were fed and clothed and could bathe, and where they could talk freely and rest in the garden.

It was possible for a Jew to pass.

“This film is an event,” said Benjamin Stora, France’s pre-eminent historian on North Africa and a consultant on the film. “Much has been written about Muslim collaboration with the Nazis. But it has not been widely known that Muslims helped Jews. There are still stories to be told, to be written.”

The film, directed by Ismaël Ferroukhi, is described as fiction inspired by real events and built around the stories of two real-life figures (along with a made-up black marketeer). The veteran French actor Michael Lonsdale plays Benghabrit, an Algerian-born religious leader and a clever political maneuverer who gave tours of the mosque to German officers and their wives even as he apparently used it to help Jews.

Mahmoud Shalaby, a Palestinian actor living in Israel, plays Salim — originally Simon — Hilali, who was Paris’s most popular Arabic-language singer, a Jew who survived the Holocaust by posing as a Muslim. (To make the assumed identity credible, Benghabrit had the name of Hilali’s grandfather engraved on a tombstone in the Muslim cemetery in the Paris suburb of Bobigny, according to French obituaries about the singer. In one tense scene in the film a German soldier intent on proving that Hilali is a Jew, takes him to the cemetery to identify it.)

The historical record remains incomplete, because documentation is sketchy. Help was provided to Jews on an ad hoc basis and was not part of any organized movement by the mosque. The number of Jews who benefited is not known. The most graphic account, never corroborated, was given by Albert Assouline, a North African Jew who escaped from a German prison camp. He claimed that more than 1,700 resistance fighters — including Jews but also a lesser number of Muslims and Christians — found refuge in the mosque’s underground caverns, and that the rector provided many Jews with certificates of Muslim identity.

In his 2006 book, “Among the Righteous,” Robert Satloff, director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, uncovered stories of Arabs who saved Jews during the Holocaust, and included a chapter on the Grand Mosque. Dalil Boubakeur, the current rector, confirmed to him that some Jews — up to 100 perhaps — were given Muslim identity papers by the mosque, without specifying a number. Mr. Boubakeur said individual Muslims brought Jews they knew to the mosque for help, and the chief imam, not Benghabrit, was the man responsible.

Mr. Boubakeur showed Mr. Satloff a copy of a typewritten 1940 Foreign Ministry document from the French Archives. It stated that the occupation authorities suspected mosque personnel of delivering false Muslim identity papers to Jews. “The imam was summoned, in a threatening manner, to put an end to all such practices,” the document said.

Mr. Satloff said in a telephone interview: “One has to separate the myth from the fact. The number of Jews protected by the mosque was probably in the dozens, not the hundreds. But it is a story that carries a powerful political message and deserves to be told.”

A 1991 television documentary “Une Résistance Oubliée: La Mosquée de Paris” (“A Forgotten Resistance: The Mosque of Paris”) by Derri Berkani , and a children’s book “The Grand Mosque of Paris: A Story of How Muslims Saved Jews During the Holocaust,” published in 2007, also explore the events.

The latest film was made in an empty palace in Morocco, with the support of the Moroccan government. The Paris mosque refused to grant permission for any filming. “We’re a place of worship,” Mr. Boubakeur said in an interview. “There are prayers five times a day. Shooting a film would have been disruptive.”

Benghabrit fell out of favor with fellow Muslims because he opposed Algerian independence and stayed loyal to France’s occupation of his native country. He died in 1954.

In doing research for the film, Mr. Ferroukhi and even Mr. Stora learned new stories. At one screening a woman asked him why the film did not mention the Ashkenazi Jews of Eastern European origin who had been saved by the mosque. Mr. Stora said he explained that the mosque didn’t intervene on behalf of Ashkenazi Jews, who did not speak Arabic or know Arab culture.

“She told me: ‘That’s not true. My mother was protected and saved by a certificate from the mosque,’ ” Mr. Stora said.

On Wednesday, the day of the film’s release here, hundreds of students from three racially and ethnically mixed Paris-area high schools were invited to a special screening and question-and-answer session with Mr. Ferroukhi and some of his actors.

Some asked banal questions. Where did you find the old cars? (From an antique car rental agency.) Others reacted with curiosity and disbelief, wanting to know how much of the film was based on fact, and how it could have been possible that Jews mingled easily with Muslims. Some were stunned to hear that the Nazis persecuted only the Jews, and left the Muslims alone.

Reviews here were mixed on the film, which is to be released in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium. (American rights have been sold as well.) The daily Le Figaro said it “reconstitutes an atmosphere and a period marvelously.” The weekly L’Express called it “ideal for a school outing, less for an evening at the movies.”

Mr. Ferroukhi does not care. He said he was lobbying the Culture and Education Ministries to get the film shown in schools. “It pays homage to the people of our history who have been invisible,” he said. “It shows another reality, that Muslims and Jews existed in peace. Jonah was a prophet who lived in the first Temple period. His first mission was given to him by the most famous of first Temple prophets, Elijah -- he was to anoint Jehu as king in the year 705 BCE. His were stormy times; the Jewish people were trapped in a pattern of spiritual decline that ended with first the conquest and expulsion of the Ten Tribes by the Assyrians in 607 BCE, and finally with the destruction of Jerusalem, which was followed by 70 years of exile.

As a prophet, Jonah knew far better than we can imagine what the inevitable end would be if no transformation would take place.

After the failure of his second mission, to rebuke Jehu's successor, Jeroboam the second, he was given his final mission.

The mission that God gave him was one that he could not open his heart to accept. He was sent to the capital of Assyria, Nineveh, to urge its population to repent. How bizarre the assignment sounded to him! His own people were falling uncontrollably into a chasm that seemed to have no bottom, yet he was sent to save others -- the archenemies of Israel!

Jonah actually dreaded success of this mission far more than he dreaded failure. How could he bear to witness the contrast of the Assyrians returning to God in the face of his prophecy, with the Jews stubbornly resisting any chance for spiritual self-preservation. Therefore, he attempted to escape from his destiny.

Jonah fled from Israel by ship to silence the voice of prophecy that can only be heard in the Holy Land. But a storm at sea forced him into the recognition that no one can escape from God. In the midst of calm waters, his boat was tossed in a tempest until it was on the verge of breaking. The sailors prayed to their gods.

Jonah went to sleep.

He knew the truth. It was he who had already cut himself off from God; there was nothing to say and nothing to pray for.

His apathetic behavior aroused the curiosity of the sailors. He told them his story. He believed in God, yet he was running away from Him.

Knowing he was the cause of the storm, he implored the sailors to toss him overboard so they could save themselves. As decent people they resisted this suggestion until the critical moment when it became clear that within seconds they would all die. At that point, they listened and threw him into the turbulent depths. The storm abated immediately. Jonah thought his story had ended.

But it had just begun. He was swallowed by a whale, and miraculously survived. In the dark fetid innards of the whale, he recognized what he had never truly been willing to see, in his most exalted moments of prophecy, God's intimate knowledge and care over each life and each moment. He was a prophet and awareness of God was not a novelty to him. But recognition of the depths of God's mercy was.

It was then that Jonah did teshuva -- he repented, returning to God and the best in himself.

Now he recognized that no matter how painful the contrast between the Assyrians and the Jews would be to him, that God's motivation could only be one of mercy. Once he recognized this truth, he was willing to open the gates that he had closed so resolutely -- the gates of prayer. He was now ready for the most significant undertaking of his life.

The whale spit him out at the shores of Nineveh.

He told the residents of Nineveh what awaited them: In forty days they could either make radical changes in their lives, or the city would be destroyed by God's wrath.

The changes in Nineveh happened with speed and drama. The king himself led the people into a total reformation. Nineveh's destruction was postponed for 40 years.

Everything that Jonah had feared had come to pass. The contrast that he dreaded was more vivid in reality than it was as a prophecy. He had only one further request that he be spared of seeing the destruction of his own people, which he knew would come eventually and at the hands of the Assyrians at that. The fact that the Jews would not take example from Nineveh would be the final act of callousness that would seal their fate. God did not answer Jonah's request with words. He answered by deed.

After Jonah left Nineveh, he went to the outskirts and made himself a shelter in the shade of a kikayon tree. It was a source of consolation to him in his anguish, and made him aware of God's compassion. But God sent a worm to eat through the branches and kill the tree.

In response, all the pent up feelings of agony poured forth from Jonah's lips. God replied "You took pity on a kikayon for which you did not labor ... Shall I not take pity on Nineveh, that great city in which there are more than 120 thousand people who do not know their right hand from their left, and many beasts as well?"

In short, what God was telling Jonah is the flaws of the residents of Nineveh did not make them unworthy of life. Each person is part of the world's spiritual ecology, and brings benefit to the world at least as much as the kikayon plant brought benefit to Jonah.

Yalkut Shimoni, the most encyclopedic of all Midrashim (written by Rav Shimon Hadarshan in the thirteenth century) gives us deep insight into the most profound recognition of Jonah's life:

At that moment he fell on his face and said, "Rule your world according to the attribute of mercy" as it is written "to You, God, is mercy and forgiveness."

The message of Jonah's prophecy is one for each one of us. The Vilna Gaon tells us that Jonah's journey is one that we all make. We are born with a subconscious realization of the fact that we have a mission. We seek escape, because our mission is often one that we are afraid to attempt.

In the text of the Jonah story we are told that the places that he sought were Yaffo and Tarshish. While these places actually exist and are known as Jaffa and Tarsis, the literal meaning of the names of these cities are "beauty" and "wealth."

We comfort ourselves externally, by escaping from our inner knowledge of our mission through the pursuit of wealth, and by surrounding ourselves with beauty. Our bodies are compared to Jonah's ship. We face moments in life in which the fragility of our bodies is inescapable, as in when we face illness, or confront moments of danger that seem to last an eternity until they are resolved.

The sailors on the ship are the talents and capacities that work for us. They too cannot save us from our futile desire to escape ourselves. The whale is the symbol of ultimate confrontation of the recognition that our ultimate fate is the grave. For some, that recognition almost feels like a welcome refuge. For others, facing death forces them at last into pursuing life!

As with Jonah, our recognition of our own vulnerability can bring us to finally transcend our ego, surrendering our desire to control events, and beginning at last to accept our mission in life, no matter what it is.

We can suffer the vicissitudes of life, and recognize that we ourselves have caused the storms to toss us back and forth. We can move forward to fulfill our purpose, but we are still not free of conflict and anxiety until we finally recognize that every step along the way, we are embraced by Divine compassion.

It is then that we are ready to return to God. While for each of us the path is our own, and never yet explored by any other person, Jonah knew the beginning and the end of the journey that we all make.

Yom Kippur is the day in which each one of us can relive Jonah's journey. Let us finally move towards whatever the next step is for us in fulfilling the mission for which we were created. Let us use the time to return to God with joy and love.

Preso en el acto, por tráfico de drogas, Manuel lanza un discurso duro:

"Yo soy fruto de la sociedad; soy el resultado de un mundo injusto, don de a las personas solo

les importa ellas mismas. Yo soy lo que ustedes me lle varon a ser. No pude escoger, no tuve

oportunidades: yo no tengo la culpa".

Su discurso era fuerte y elocuente. Este mundo es egoísta; cada día que pasa, las personas se preocupan más por ellas que por su prójimo. La ven ganza y el odio se sobreponen al amor y al perdón. Manuel parecía tener razón.
Vivimos en un mundo en que faltan oportunidades para los jóvenes. Cada año, más y más profesionales son lanzados a un mercado de trabajo cada día más exigente. Faltan oportunidades; falta el deseo de invertir en los jóvenes. Manuel parecía tener razón.
¿Cómo condenar a muchachos que nacen huérfanos; jóvenes que viven sin un modelo a ser seguido; sin un referente paterno?
¿Cómo condenar a un muchacho que, desde sus primeros años, vive la ley de la selva en plena metrópoli? ¿Cómo condenar a un muchacho que mata, para no morir? Ma nuel, ¡parece que tienes la razón!
Solo que Manuel es un muchacho de clase media, en una de las ciuda des más grandes del mundo. Segundo hijo de un hogar bien estructurado, siempre tuvo todo en casa: estudió en buenas escuelas; viajaba durante las vacaciones; usaba buenas ropas; frecuentaba los mejores ambientes sociales; tenía un cuarto solo para él; desde niño, tuvo su propia computadora. Si alguien tuvo oportunidades en la vida; si alguien podría hacer la diferencia en la sociedad, ese sería Manuel. ¡Ah, Manuel! Parece que ya no tienes tanta razón.
El problema es que Manuel aprendió, desde pequeño, a colocar la culpa en los demás. El ser humano siempre fue así desde la entrada del pecado: "La mujer que me diste", excusó Adán; "La serpiente que creaste", adujo Eva.
La culpa nunca es nuestra; el responsable nunca soy yo. Ese estilo de vida trae, como resultado, infelicidad, rebeldía, dolor, frustración.
Hoy, en vez de decir, como Adán, "La mujer que me diste por compañe ra", di: "Señor, pequé. Por favor, ¿puedes perdonarme?

Porque raíz de todos los males es el amor al dinero, el cual codiciando algunos, se extraviaron de la fe, y fueron traspasados de muchos dolores.1 Timoteo 6:10.
Los sobres se amontonaban, sobre la mesa de la cocina, como un castillo de naipes que en cualquier momento se desmoronaría. Cada sobre gritaba: "¡Pague, pague, pague!" Cintia evitaba entrar en la cocina, por miedo de oír el coro imaginario de los sobres. Pero, por más que no quisiese aceptar la realidad, las cuentas continuaban llegando, con valores cada vez más altos.
- "Yo solo quería ser feliz", murmuraba, hastiada de huir de sus fantasmas: ropas caras, fiestas, restaurantes finos, viajes y más viajes. Todos sus amigos la consideraban alguien especial; una persona generosa y de buen corazón... con mucho dinero. Si el dinero en la mano es un vendaval, gastar sin tener dinero puede ser un tsunami.
  Ser feliz. Ese es el constante anhelo del ser humano: buscar incansable mente la felicidad. Y, para encontrarla, no mide esfuerzos: lucha, corre, llora, se sacrifica, no come, no duerme; casi deja de vivir.
  No es malo desear la felicidad; lo errado no es el objetivo sino el medio que usamos para conseguirlo. La mayoría de las veces, ese medio es la pose sión de bienes materiales.

¡No sé qué hacer; simplemente, no lo sé!
Con el rostro entre los brazos, sentada frente a mí, Claudia era el retrato de tantas personas, inmersas en un mundo de dudas: matrimonio en bancarrota, crisis en el trabajo, deudas y luchas diarias con la depresión, Claudia buscaba respuestas.
"Son tantas", decía ella, "tantos caminos, tantas filosofías, tantas pro puestas, que es imposible saber lo que es o no es correcto".
Verdad y mentira. Verdad, que existen muchas filosofías, caminos y alter nativas. Vivimos en un tiempo en el cual está de moda creer en algo, vivir la espiritualidad, buscar la armonía del alma. El enemigo de nuestras almas es especialista en crear confusión en la mente del ser humano; fue así en prin cipio, y continúa así actualmente.

La pregunta del texto de hoy es una de las más difíciles de traducir. En el hebreo, sugiere dos ideas diferentes, y eso causa cierta contradicción entre los estudiosos de la Biblia. El enemigo formuló una pregunta con el claro objetivo de confundir a Eva; su intención era llevarla a dudar de Dios. Y continúa siendo este su objetivo hoy, al presentar tantas filosofías, creencias y caminos alternativos.
Es muy probable que, en algún momento, te hayas sentido como Clau dia, sin saber adónde ir, qué hacer o qué dirección tomar. En la carretera de la vida, todo parece oscuro y te parece imposible llegar a destino.

l caso de Claudia muestra que buscar el rumbo llevada por las ideas y las filosofías humanas solo te conduce a la confusión: el camino es la Palabra de Dios. La Biblia es el mapa del viajero; el GPS para el perdido; la señal de tránsito que indica: sigue adelante, a derecha o a izquierda. Las orientaciones divinas son claras y objetivas: a nadie le fue mal por haberlas obedecido.
Deposita tu confianza en Dios. Aunque al principio no lo entiendas; a pesar de que tu humanidad te hace pensar que la orientación está equivoca da. Dios jamás falló a los hijos sinceros, que van a él en busca de orientación y de consejo. Haz de este un día de obediencia a sus orientaciones, y recuerda que el enemigo puede aparecer, en algún momento, susurrándote: "¿Conque Dios os ha dicho: No comáis de todo árbol del huerto?"

Pérdida de Peso y Teshuvá

Una vez más, mi ropa no me entra. Sí, exactamente la misma ropa que sí me entraba hace tan sólo tres meses atrás. ¿Quizás se encogió? Buscar un culpable: La secadora lo hizo. Me gustaría creerlo, en vez de culpar al chocolate. Que cosa hermosa es el chocolate, ¿para qué asociarlo a cosas negativas?

He cuidado mi peso. Lo he cuidado tan bien, ¡que no se ha ido a ninguna parte! De hecho, he acumulado un poco más de él, ¡solamente cuidándolo!

La verdad es que yo conozco las razones por las cuales subí de peso. Comí en exceso y no me ejercité lo suficiente. Claro y simple, sin complicaciones.

Y conozco la fórmula para arreglar el problema. ¡Funciona siempre y es imbatible!: Comer menos y ejercitar más. Pero no importa cuantas veces subo y bajo, eventualmente, caigo en la misma rutina una y otra vez.

Este patrón de fracaso ciertamente no ayuda a motivarme para intentarlo nuevamente. Este mismo problema es el que a menudo sabotea el proceso de teshuvá (volver a ser la mejor persona que uno puede ser).

Considerando que ni siquiera puedo apegarme a una dieta baja en calorías, ¿cómo puedo decir honestamente que nunca más repetiré los errores del pasado y que me mantendré comprometido con una vida con sentido?

Soluciones rápidas

Tanto con el tema de bajar de peso como con la teshuvá, no existen soluciones rápidas, sino cambios de estilo de vida.

En algunas dietas locas que he intentado, he ido más allá del límite, y el primer día es muy exitoso. El segundo día es un poco menos exitoso. Luego, cada día después de eso es un espiral de caída, hasta que la dieta fracasa nuevamente.

Es lo mismo con mis esfuerzos inútiles por conquistar mis malos hábitos. Comienzo mi ‘dieta’ de teshuvá y me embarco en un plan estricto para detener inmediatamente todos mis malos hábitos. El primer día es muy exitoso. Pero al igual que las otras dietas locas, el proceso de teshuváfracasa también.

Las dietas extremas no funcionan. La teshuvá instantánea tampoco funciona. Bajar de peso significa cambiar mi manera de comer y mis patrones de conducta, significa relacionarme de una manera distinta con la comida e incorporar ejercicio y otros hábitos saludables en mi vida. Hacerteshuvá significa reconocer mis patrones de conducta equivocados, trabajar en dejarlos de lado, e integrar buenas cualidades de conducta en mi vida.

Este año, mi lista de Rosh Hashaná incluirá: ‘¡Ponerme en forma!’. Y creo que, los mismos principios básicos que me ayudarán a ponerme en forma físicamente, también me ayudarán a ponerme en forma espiritualmente.

Creer en mi mismo -Sé que sólo tendré el coraje y la fuerza de intentarlo si sé que podré lograrlo. ¿Para qué molestarse con perder peso o hacerteshuvá si creo que no podré lograr mis metas? Necesito creer en mí mismo lo suficiente como para realmente entregar todo de mí y hacer mi mejor esfuerzo para que resulte. Así que mi primer paso es creer que, sin importar lo que pasé, ¡yo sé que puedo hacerlo!

Hacer un plan - Es muy fácil decir “quiero perder peso”, o “quiero ser una mejor persona”, pero sin un plan y un objetivo claro, no sé hacia donde me dirijo, y será imposible llegar hasta allá. Con planificación específica y objetivos claros, podré encontrar el camino correcto.

Pasos pequeños - Si tomo mucho de una sola vez, me quemaré rápidamente. Cortando todas mis golosinas preferidas, o cortando todas las malas costumbres de una sola vez, sé que me estoy predisponiendo al fracaso. No me transformaré en un ángel de la noche a la mañana. Necesito dar pasos pequeños para lograr cambios. Así que el primer día, quizás no comeré chocolate después de las 6 PM, o no hablar mal de otras personas hasta las 2 PM. Y una vez que logre manejar esto y progrese, podré realizar cambios mayores. La integración progresiva es clave para efectos a largo plazo.

Pensar en la imagen completa - Si vivo mi vida deseando y esperando gratificación instantánea, en general lamentaré mis decisiones más tarde. Ese brownie puede saber delicioso en este momento (¡realmente delicioso!) pero, ¿cómo me sentiré después cuando me suba a la balanza? Hablar mal de otra persona puede causar un par de risas en este momento pero, ¿cómo me sentiré cuando mis relaciones personales se vean afectadas por mi falta de sensibilidad? Cuando no me enfoco en la gratificación instantánea, puedo ver la imagen completa y puedo ver como mis decisiones me afectarán en el futuro. Puedo vivir sin el brownie. Puedo amar sin herir.

Cambios de estilo de vida - Perder peso y hacer teshuvá sólo puede lograrse a través de cambios verdaderos en el estilo de vida y en los patrones de conducta. Al integrar nuevos hábitos en mi vida, no estoy haciendo una dieta por un par de días, o si tengo suerte por un mes. Estoy haciendo cambios en mí mismo y en como yo me relaciono con la comida. También estoy tomando esas decisiones del alma que transformarán la manera en que me relaciono conmigo mismo y con los demás.

Resistir la tentación - Lo más fácil, por supuesto, es evitar la tentación. Pero la tentación está en todos lados (¿Acaso se supone que no puedo ir a una boda porque habrá un pastel delicioso? ¿Acaso tengo que dejar de interactuar con amigos porque puedo llegar a hablar chismes?). Al estar conciente de la tentación alrededor, puedo estar preparado para combatirla.

Sobrepasar los pequeños retrocesos - No hay tal cosa como un retroceso mayor. El problema es que los pequeños retrocesos se transforman en retrocesos mayores. Está bien, me comí un pastelito, ¿y qué? Puedo volver a mi dieta inmediatamente. El problema es que me digo a mí mismo: “Todo se acabó. Ahora puedo comerme una docena ya que de todos modos la dieta ha terminado”. Si fuéramos capaces de ver que el pastelito es tan solo un pequeño retroceso y pudiéramos volver inmediatamente a nuestra dieta, nunca sería un gran inconveniente. La manera de alcanzar algo trascendental en la vida es “lento pero seguro”, poco a poco, un par de pasos hacia adelante, y algunas veces, un par de pasos hacia atrás.

Monitorear el progreso - Con la pérdida de peso, cada semana puedo evaluarme a mí mismo y ver como va mi progreso. Puedo mirar hacia atrás y puedo evaluar qué funciona y qué no. Con la teshuvá, una gran manera de monitorear el progreso es con “Jeshbón Hanefesh”, un recuento espiritual diario en donde me siento cinco minutos cada noche con un cuaderno y una lapicera, y contemplo mi día y veo si he cumplido mis metas, donde he sido desafiado, y en qué areas necesito trabajar más fuerte mañana.

No rendirse - A veces es difícil y queremos renunciar. Ahí es cuando le rezamos a Dios y le pedimos fuerza y tenacidad para perseverar, y claridad para saber que nuestras metas son demasiado importantes como para rendirnos.

Este año, que todos tengamos éxito en nuestros esfuerzos por ponernos en forma, física y espiritualmente.

El guarda respondió: La mañana viene, y después la noche; preguntad si queréis, preguntad; volved, venid. Isaías 21:12.
Todos sabemos que la mañana viene y después la noche. No hay novedad ninguna en esta declaración, a no ser por un simple detalle: esta declaración es profética. En el contexto literal, se refiere a la tribulación que se aproximaba al pueblo desobediente, y a la recompensa y la liberación final de los justos, en los días de Judá. La mañana para unos, y la noche para otros.
Pero, como en la mayoría de las profecías hechas a Israel, el cumplimiento total se proyecta hacia el final de la historia de este mundo, cuando la paja y el trigo serán colocados aparte, las ovejas y los cabritos serán separados, y las vírgenes prudentes y las insensatas cosecharán lo que sembraron.
¡La mañana viene! Querámoslo o no, aceptémoslo o no, estemos pre parados o no. La mañana gloriosa de la venida de Cristo se aproxima: Los índices de violencia de nuestros días lo anuncian; los cataclismos naturales, de una tierra herida por el ser humano, lo gritan a pulmón lleno; la incre dulidad reinante del humanismo lo proclama. La mañana viene, trayendo la gloria del Cristo victorioso, para recompensar a sus fieles.
Pero, después de la mañana viene la noche. También es inevitable. Llega trayendo, en sus alas, la destrucción de una raza rebelde. Angustia, dolor y desesperación: el justo resultado de obras injustas, que realizaron hombres injustos.
Pero, lo que quiero destacar del versículo de hoy es la tierna invitación: "¡Volved, venid!" ¿Por qué volver? Porque un día te fuiste; te apoderaste de la vida que pertenece a Dios y corriste, como un niño que aprendió a andar, detrás de lo que llamabas "libertad". ¿Por qué venir? Porque estoy lejos, y debo acercarme al Trono de la misericordia mientras haya tiempo. Esa de cisión no la puedo dejar para mañana: no hay más tiempo que perder; la mañana está a las puertas. Y también la noche.
¿Dónde estás, en este exacto momento? ¿Qué estás haciendo con tu vida? ¿Hacia dónde te diriges? Este es un día para revisar tus caminos y volverte a tu Creador. No comiences las actividades de este día sin consagrarte al Señor, porque "el guarda respondió: La mañana viene, y después la noche; pregun tad si queréis, preguntad; volved, venid"

Pero acontecerá que después que el Señor haya acabado toda su obra en el monte de Sión y en Jerusalén, castigará el fruto de la soberbia del co razón del rey de Asiría, y la gloria de la altivez de sus ojos. Isaías 10:12.
El versículo de hoy es una declaración profética. Tiene que ver con la restau ración final de los hijos de Dios y con la destrucción completa del enemigo simbolizadas, en este texto, por el rey de Asiria. Hay dos características, en el carácter del rey de Asiria, que Dios desaprueba. Todas las acciones despiadadas y pecaminosas que él realizó fueron fruto de estas dos características: la sober bia de su corazón y la altivez de sus ojos.
Percibe que el pecado siempre comienza en el corazón. Pero, lo que el rey de Asiria tiene no es nada "moralmente malo". En otras palabras, nadie va a la cárcel por acariciar la soberbia; ninguna iglesia reprendería a un miembro por anidar este sentimiento. Primero, porque no se ve; está en el corazón, pro tegido por las cuatro paredes de las intenciones escondidas. Pero, en segundo lugar, porque la soberbia no "le hace mal a nadie". ¿No es así como pensamos?
El adulterio, el robo, la drogadicción, la prostitución, esos sí que son "pe cados condenados". Pero, Dios afirma que todo eso es fruto de la soberbia, acariciada en el corazón. La soberbia es la alocada idea de que puedes vivir sin Dios: tú eres tu propio dios; nadie tiene que decirte lo que debes o no debes hacer; tú eres el dueño de tu vida.
El tiempo, sin embargo, se encarga de demostrarte que esa loca idea te hace descender a las profundidades más oscuras del comportamiento humano.
La segunda característica que Dios reprueba es la altivez de los ojos. Esta es la segunda etapa de la soberbia: primero piensas, no te atreves a decirlo; crees que eres el mejor, pero te lo guardas solo para ti. Los días pasan, y la repetición constante de un mismo pensamiento te lleva, finalmente, a la acción: tus ojos empiezan a revelar lo que tu corazón abriga. Te atreves a decirlo y a luchar, con tus propias armas, para alcanzar lo que tu corazón anhela.
Esa fue la tragedia de Lucifer; así comenzó el pecado en el cielo. Y esa, tam bién, puede ser nuestra tragedia hoy, si no buscamos a Dios y nos sometemos a él.
Haz de este un día de humildad. Ríndete a Jesús, entrégale tus planes, co lócate en sus manos. Y recuerda la advertencia; "pero acontecerá que después que el Señor haya acabado toda su obra en el monte de Sión y en Jerusalén, castigará el fruto de la soberbia del corazón del rey de Asiria, y la gloria de la altivez de sus ojos".

Fulltime volunteers and teachers at the London Kabbalah Centre

On Sunday June 5^th 2011, the London Kabbalah Centre organized a team of volunteers to perform an afternoon of beauty sessions for women at the Croydon Women’s Aid Hostel in Greater London.

Croydon Women’s Aid Hostel is a charitable organization that provides specialist services for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. The purpose of the event was to help vulnerable women – most of whom are single mothers and living in hiding – gain back their confidence and femininity while showing them that they are not alone or forgotten.

London Kabbalah Centre

A professional makeup artist shared her beauty knowledge and skills with each woman, relaying professional tips and tricks of the trade, as well as a mini makeover for all. Each woman also received a facial treatment, oil massage and goodie bag filled with premiere organic skin care products.

Rounding off the day, a buffet filled with fresh fruits, vegetables and tea were made available to the women as they enjoyed aromatic oils and calming music.

During the event, many volunteers openly discussed why they choose to volunteer and give back to people in need. One volunteer shared her experience as a single mother and how Kabbalah changed her life, helping her to overcome the difficulties life brought her way.

Words of gratitude were shared throughout the event as well as in a personal letter from Croydon Women’s Aid Hostel:

I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to you and all the volunteers who made Sunday such a special day for the women!! They all enjoyed it very much and looked so relaxed and happy. Could you please give our thanks to all the volunteers who helped? And a big, big thank you to you for organizing it all, and on behalf of the staff team I thank you.

Me siento felicisima de ser estudiante de Kabbalah, el Centro es mi hogar espiritual con unos Padres excepcionales, y miles y miles de hermanos compartiendo la Vida Verdadera.
Mi mayor deseo es que muy pronto en España, país de Moshe de León haya un Centro gigantesco y podamos expandirnos . Tenemos el ejemplo maravilloso de Londres y de muchos más. Luz y bendiciones, y mucho amor entre todos nosotros. Miriam (gracias google por traducirme, ya que no hablo inglés)

Perdona el mi espagnol, un idioma que he apprendido solo hablando con la gente.
Quiero decirte que todos en la vita necessitan buscar mas el lado espiritual que lo material, porque esto es el nuestro destino.
El problema es que todas estas personas que tiene conociencia de la espiritualidad, por ensegnarla preguntan dinero. Yo pienso que si una persona tiene qualitades espirituales la han recibida gratuitamente, y gratuitamente tienen que impartirla a los demas. Dios o l’universo que sea, no pregunta dinero por donar la conosciencia espiritual. Que piensa?
