The wives were able to sneak out for a lovely ladies' night at the wonderful J.J.'s house! With each other and a chocolate fountain for company, it proved to be an exciting night!

Ashley decided she might want to eat the whole chocolate fountain herself...

And others just enjoyed hanging out around the delectable treats...

Some just might have gotten chocolate all over themselves..

Then came the nail painting!

What a wonderful night with all these fantastic ladies! A special thank you to J.J. for hosting us and opening up her home and a special thanks to all of you who came out and made it special!

Today, we would like for you to meet Natalie.

Hello ladies! My name is Natalie Fawson, and I am so excited to share my Regent story. I am married to an amazing man, Josh, who is currently a third year law student. We have 3 great kids. Brielle is our spunky 5 year old and she just started kindergarten. Our 4 year old, Hope is a bit more stubborn and reserved, And Rigdon is our law school baby. He is 10 months old, and has always been a happy baby.

When I met my husband I knew he wanted to go to law school. I even knew he POSSIBLY wanted to move out of state to do it. I am a small town Utah girl who has never been too far from the family for long. In the last year of Josh’s undergrad we let the Lord do the work. Josh studied for the LSAT and we had some school possibilities. We prayed that we would be guided to the right school and that we would know where we needed to be through his LSAT score. When we received his scores it was very obvious the school God was leading us too, and we both knew instantly that we would go to Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

His undergrad graduation seemed like no big deal since we knew we were headed straight to school again. I was a wreck trying to figure out how we were going to get all of our stuff and our family of four clear across the country. I kept telling myself “people have done this before! You are not the first!”

We loaded up everything we owned in 13 feet of a moving truck and stuffed our 2 kids in our car and made the 2300 mile drive to Virginia. I had never been to Virginia. I had never lived this far from my family. We had never seen the school, or our new apartment. Needless to say we were moving on faith and a prayer, and hoping that everything worked out right.

We walked into our new apartment and our oldest daughter who was then 3 said “I want to go home!” I almost started kicking and screaming and throwing the biggest tantrum right there because I did too. I wanted to go home! But this was my home now. God knew what he was doing when he moved us next door to these two!

Lan and Tim had just moved in as well and Tim was starting school with Josh. We were instant friends. They had 2 girls around the same ages as ours and as soon as Brielle met Destiny she was fine. She never asked to go home again!

Lan was the one who pushed me to go to all the Law wives events. I was afraid. I am not sure why because I am a social person but this intimidated me. Lan dragged me to event after event until I finally realized I loved theses ladies and they were my friends and I WANTED to go and be with them. Late night craft nights, bible studies, girls night out, and randomly stopping to talk for hours got me through the first year. When we went back to Utah the first summer for an internship I realized I missed Virginia and all of our friends. It had become home.

Before coming to law school we knew we wanted to add another baby to our family, but didn’t know if that would be a possibility. We had only heard how hard school was, and I was afraid everyone would think we were crazy for having a baby during law school. That was far from the truth!

This is a picture of all the pregnant law wives at the progressive dinner. We had a baby due each month. Law wives is such an amazing support that none of us felt alone. I knew I could do it with the help of these amazing ladies. Regent university is very family oriented and my husband also had great support from professors and friends.

Josh and I have had an absolutely amazing law school experience. We know we will treasure this time in our lives forever. I also know that this would not have been the case if it weren’t for law wives and for Regent. Without a doubt we chose the right school and as our 3 years comes to end I feel it has gone way too fast. I am excited to see what the future holds for my family and I, I only wish there were such thing as lawyer wives!

Hello to all the Fellow Law Wives and Potential Law Wives!

In case we haven't met, my name is Victoria Lake and my husband, Austen, is a 3L here at Regent. We have a 7-year-old daughter, Jocelynne, and a new addition to the family, Emmalynne, who is 16 days old today. I was just reflecting on how thankful I am for law wives - I have been blessed by this organization the entire time we have been at Regent. I have loved the Bible Studies, the Ladies' nights out, the Chocolate fountain, Family gatherings, spontaneous get togethers, and of course, the long-term friendships I have developed. It has been an incredible journey thus far :-)

But, more recently, I have been blessed in a different way. Due to my history of going into preterm labor, I was put on bed rest when I was 35 weeks pregnant as I was already having contractions. This was of course hard on the family as mama could not cook, clean, or even spend quality time and mama was of course a bit "stressed." My neighbor and friend, a fellow law wife, brought us meal after meal during this time despite that fact that she herself was a few more weeks pregnant than me! No one asked her to do this, she just did it out of the kindness of her heart. My husband and I were so touched by her and her husband's generosity!

I recall one particularly rough day that I was in a lot of pain and nauseous - 2 law wives came to my aid and kept my 7-year-old at their house so that she could play with their kids and so that I could get rest. What a blessing they were!

Once I reached full term status, I felt like the entire law wives association celebrated with me! It was such a happy time and we were so thankful to God that our prayers had been answered!

3 of my law wife friends threw me a baby shower and we had such fun. I was truly "showered" with amazing gifts and we had a lot of laughs that night! These women have been in my life for only a couple of years, but I can't imagine life without them!
And lastly, when Emmalynne was born, I had so many visitors at the hospital! My husband's classmates and their wives, our very close friends, all came to celebrate her birth with us! It was quite the party! There were balloons and flowers and snacks and even gifts for Jocelynne, the big sister! I was overwhelmed by the display of support!Once we came home, we were greeted by signs and more balloons, and then the meals started. That's right - the Martha Ministry came our way. :-) I have been resting, and getting to know my baby girl and all the while eating the most amazing meals known to man! Every night this week, a different law family has brought a delicious meal so that we can just sit back, enjoy Emmalynne, and still eat like royalty. AMAZING!
What can I say? I LOVE Law Wives and I cannot imagine law school without them! Thanks for being incredible ladies!

Law Wives Graduation 2010

It was a great night of celebrating the 3Ls and their success in making it through Law School. We honored the 3L wives for their support and devotion to their husbands through this experience.

There were a few tears, some high fives, and lots of smiles as we remembered their 3 years here at Regent.The husbands surprised their wives as they handed them a certificate and simply showed them their appreciation.

This class was full of such fun and loving ladies. They inspired us and blessed so many of us with their friendship.
This Law School experience is one none of us will ever forget and will deeply cherish. The 3Ls now must move onto what God has prepared them for.
We love you 3Ls and you will be missed!!!

Easter Celebration

We had a great Easter Celebration with the Law Wives and their families. About 80 people showed up on the Saturday of Easter weekend to have an egg hunt and share some yummy breakfast food.We had a couple of drawings for prizes and the kids got to claim their prizes if they found the prize egg while they were out hunting.

It was a fun day to celebrate with friends the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Law Wives Cookbook
