Manchester reggae band Jeramiah Ferrari play their song ‘No Booty’.

The group, who formed in 2010, had a successful 2011 after selling out their debut EP ‘The Cactus Killer’.

Jeramiah Ferrari recently supported ‘The Aggrolites‘ and performed at Manchester City‘s prestigious football ground, The Etihad Stadium.

It’s been a long time since Gentleman’s Dub Club released new music, but their new EP, Open Your Eyes, is finally available to buy. 

The nine piece band, who are well known for their energetic live shows, have released a five song EP, featuring grime artist P Money.

Open Your Eyes comes after the band played a variety of festivals and momentous supporting slots over summer, including Outlook Festival and The Secret Garden Party.

The EP opens up with the song High Grade, which highlights the reason why Gentleman’s Dub Club have such a loyal fan base. The opening track sees the distinct vocals of Jonathan Scratchley and Tommy Evans on drums, creating a steppa beat that has not been heard by fans before.

Tough at the Top features London grime MC P Money. The blend of dubstep, live effects and grime, beats P Money’s measly counterparts who have struck chart success by converting to cheesy dance tracks.

The EP slows down a bit for Open Your Eyes ,the song that shares the same name as the EP, as it reverts back to an original reggae sound, before moving onto heavy paced Chronicles and Run. 

Chronicles and Run both have the same electronic, reggae and ska sound. This unique sound completes an EP that should feature in everyones record collection.

At a price of £2.49, Open Your Eyes is one of the best values for money that 2012 has seen so far.

While crawling through facebook today I stumbled across this amazing cover of Damian Marley’s ‘Welcome to Jamrock’.

It’s by a band from Guildford called Strobe Circus. As I first played the video I had a feeling it was going to be good.

Basically, the video sent tingles down my spine. Big up TEAfilms for recording it.
