Der Name ist eine Hommage an die sieben Jaguar Gesamtsiege bei den 24 Stunden von Le Mans zwischen 1951 und 1990.

Das 20. Goodwood Festival of Speed (Juli 2013) ist Bühne für die Konzeptstudie Jaguar Project 7:

- Offener Einsitzer auf Basis des neuen F-TYPE
- 550 PS starker Kompressor-V8 mit 680 Nm
Ein puristischer Einsitzer auf Basis des neuen F-TYPE und eine Hommage an die sieben Jaguar Gesamtsiege in Le Mans. Die Studie ist mit einem 550 PS starken Kompressor-V8 bestückt und 300 km/h schnell. In ihrer radikalen Offenheit mimt sie einen Speedster, die Stabilisierungsflosse am Heck dagegen zitiert den legendären Jaguar D-TYPE von 1954.

Als weitere Highlights treten die R-Performance-Modelle Jaguar XFR-S, XKR-S, XKR-S GT und der neue XJR auf. Klassiker wie der XK 120 "Sieben Tage, sieben Nächte", der Le Mans-Sieger XJR-9 von 1988 und der XJ13 von 1966 lassen bei Fahrten auf den Goodwood Hill große Rennschlachten von einst neu aufleben.

Project 7 ist ein einsitziger Sportwagen auf Basis des F-TYPE, mit einer vom Motorsport inspirierten Form, von der alle Designer träumen. Er verfolgt vor allem ein Ziel: schnell gefahren zu werden und seinen Piloten zu erfreuen Designdirektor

Die blaue Außenfarbe samt weißer Schärpe um die Haube schlägt eine Brücke zu den siegreichen D-TYPE von 1956 und 1957. Auch sie waren - von der privaten Ecurie Ecosse genannt - in Analogie zur schottischen Nationalflagge in Blau statt British Racing Green lackiert.

Project 7 ist kein Concept Car für eine Automobilmesse, sondern ein voll funktionsfähiger Hochleistungssportwagen. Die verwindungssteife Aluminium-Architektur des Serienmodells bildet eine solide Basis für die Aufnahme des 550 PS starken Kompressor-V8, der hier bis zu 680 Nm auf die Hinterachse schickt. Im Vergleich zum F-TYPE V8 S ein Plus von jeweils 55 PS und Newtonmeter. Folge der Kraftspritzen sind eine Beschleunigung von 0 auf 100 km/h in nur 4,2 Sekunden und der Vorstoß an die 300-km/h-Marke. Aber auch die Beschleunigung von 80 auf 120 km/h in nur 2,4 Sekunden wirkt beeindruckend.

Verkleidete Kopfstütze setzt sich als Stabilisierungsflosse nach hinten fort

Die Karosserie von Project 7 behält die beiden für den Jaguar F-TYPE so charakteristischen "Herzlinien" bei, weicht aber neben dem fehlenden Verdeck vor allem im Heckbereich vom Serienmodell ab. Die vom Le Mans-Sieger D-TYPE inspirierte Kopfstütze ist gleichzeitig Verkleidung für einen Überrollbügel und setzt sich als bei hohem Tempo stabilisierend wirkende Rückenflosse nach hinten fort.

Von aerodynamischem Feinschliff zeugen auch der vordere "Splitter" aus Kohlefaser, seitliche Schürzen, ein Heck-Diffusor und der im Winkel von 14 Grad angestellte Heckspoiler. Auch die seitlichen Entlüftungsschlitze sowie die "Kiemen" der Motorhaube sind aus Kohlefaser; die Rückspiegelgehäuse aus Kohlefaser und Aluminium erinnern an die Studie C-X16 von 2011, aus der bekanntlich der neue F-TYPE hervorging.

Nochmals vergrößerte Lufteinlässe und Scheinwerfergehäuse mit glänzend schwarzen statt chromierten Einfassungen sorgen auch am Bug für eine eigenständige Optik. 20 Zoll-Schmiederäder mit Kohlefaser-Einsätzen samt Pirelli P Zeros der Größen 255/30 x 20 (vorn) und 295/30 x 20 (hinten) lassen Project 7 satt auf dem Asphalt stehen.

Kevin-Prince Boateng reunited with his two brothers Jérôme and George, at the Panke — the concrete court by the Panke river where the brothers honed their skills and fell in love with the game — in Wedding, Berlin.

Growing up in Berlin, Kevin-Prince, Jérôme and George would play at their Panke night and day.
