S.F.R Color Highlighter Palette

While I'm not a make-up lover, this is sonething that I found extremely cute to look at. I'm trying to learn how to do makeup so, I think that this would be helpful when I'm trying to paint my face and look pretty.

This highlighter is creamy so, I don't think it'll be suitable for someone like me with oily skin to wear.

However, I do find the colours really pretty.

Oxidized Earrrings

These, unfortunately, aren't my style.

On top of that, I feel that ears are brats because they are allergic to everything but Gold and Platinum---I have a rich girl ears, y'all. So, I think that I'll gift these earrings to a friend or someone who can appreciate them.

That being said, I do find these beautiful for someone who likes to wear jhumkas.

This definitely is one of the products that I was drawn to when I got the box. I am someone who likes body washes that smell amazing. So, natually, this is a hit with me.

I really like how this body wash smells.

In all probability, this is one product that I'd purchase again.

Faconn Tea Tree Essential Oil

I've been into essential oils for a long time.

So, I appreciated getting this Tea Tree essential oil from Faconn in my April 2019 Mini-O-Grabox. I don't know whether or not this is of a high-quality, though.

That's something I'll update you on when I get to trying this out.

BONUS: Everyuth Scrub

If you were raised in India, the chances are that you remember the Everyuth scrub jingle from their famous TV commercial.

This scrub has been one of my favorites. I have a full-sized version of it in my vanity but, I appreciated the sample because I can now travel with it!

In all honesty, I'm not the kind of girl who wears a lot of makeup. I think that's one thing you know if you've been following my blog for a long time. So, I didn't really appreciate this LOUD blue-colored eyeshadow, to say the least.

However, this is definitely something people would love.

I know a few girls who LOVE makeup. So, I'm sure that if they got this eyeshadow in their box, they'd be jumping around like they won the lottery.

Global Beauty Secrets Japanese Face Wash

Now, this is something that's right up my alley!

I always fall short of face wash when traveling. So, I really appreciate sample-sized face washes that I can try when on vacation or out of town. I use The Body Shop's Clearing Tea Tea Oil Facewash on myself. But, this is definitely something that I'd love to try out.

It smells good, too.

HipHop Skincare Cleansing Charcoal Nose Strip

I usually get all the annoying blackheads on my nose---something I really do not appreciate at all.

So, I'm going to put this nose strip to some good use when I steam my face next. I have never used blackhead strips in the past so, this would be a first for me. If I like it, this is something that I'd definitely re-purchase.

Raise your hand if you're tired of getting dark circles!

The most annoying thing about having an erratic sleeping schedule is that it SHOWS in your face in the form of dark circles. This means that everyone you know assumes that you're sleepy all the time, which isn't cute, to say the least.

So, I honestly, appreciate this gold eye mask.

Star Struck By Sunny Leone Lipstick

I never knew that Sunny Leone had launched a makeup line until I came across this lipstick in my Glamego box!

I was sent this lipstick in the shade "Caramello" which suits my skin tone, and actually looks good on my face. I've worn this once or twice, and gotten a lot of compliments so, I'm not complaining. In addition to that, the lipstick smells really good.

Will definitely re-purchase this.

My Final Thoughts: Is the Glamego Box Worth Buying?

The Glamego is one of the most affordable subscription boxes that you can buy in India.

I don't think that you could get a better deal anywhere else. If you are into subscription boxes, I recommend that you give the Glamego box a try.

As I entered the Bath and Body Works showroom, I was drawn to this product because I love body butter. I previously tried one from The Body Shop and was a fan.

But, nothing had prepared me for this.

The moment that I opened the tester, my nose could smell this beautiful scent. At that moment, I knew I was taking a bottle of this stuff home.

And, I don't regret that at all.

When compared to The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter, this feels really nice on the skin and leaves your body feeling soft. In fact, after using it for a few weeks, my skin was as soft as that of a baby's---which is what I was going for, to begin with.

I highly recommend that you use this body butter after showering at night. It'll work it's magic while you sleep and you'll wake up with soft and smooth skin in the morning.

Also, you'll smell like freshly baked cookies.

Texture

This feels like REAL butter in terms of texture. As one might expect, this is quite thick in terms of consistency.

However, it applies easily on the skin and feels REALLY good and extra moisturizing.

I highly recommend this to people who have dry skin---especially during winters. I feel that this is one of the best body butter that I have tried out.

The first thing that I love about this strawberry body polish is that it smells like HEAVEN. I have always loved strawberries and this smells so good that the packing even mentions that it isn't edible!

All in all, this really gets the job done.

I have back acne during the summer months and it has helped me fade those scars as well!

This body polishing scrub lathers very well and gently scrubs your skin and leaves it feeling smooth and soft.

But, wait!

Never use this product after getting freshly waxed as it is an exfoliant and can damage your skin.

Yes, you do pay a lot for such a small quantity but, if you exfoliate bi-monthly like I do, it will last you at least 6 months if not more.

So, that's what makes it a value-for-money product as well.

Honestly, I would be lying if I told you my I have always completed my resolutions. In fact, I think mine fail within 5 days of making them.

You must be wondering why I'm writing this blog post about resolutions when I know for a fact that I won't follow through? Well, this post isn't really about resolutions of promises. It is about writing my goals down and, at the end of the year, checking in with you.

My Goals for 2019: Honest Talk

Everyone is at a different place in their life.

Just so you have a fair idea about my life, I completed my Master's in Psychology in 2018 😏🎉🎊 and, am currently working as a freelance writer. So, I'm still at the early adult/ student phase in my life.

Getting Admission in a Kickass M.Phil Programme

I want to be a Clinical Psychologist, and for that, I need to have an RCI license. To get that license, I need to have an M.Phil degree in Clinical Psychology which is a 2-year on the job training course. 31 colleges all over India are recognized by the RCI, and I need to get admission in a kick-ass one.

So, this means that I need to type less and study more.

Clear the UGC NET JRF in 2019

Clearing the UGC NET JRF in Psychology is again one of my biggest goals for 2019. I have taken the exam three times in the past but, I haven't touched the book once. It is time that I take things seriously and STUDY my ass off.

No more Instagram and Facebook for me. 🙅

Save for my Emergency Fund

As I've mentioned before, I have been working as a freelance writer and getting those paychecks in. However, I've been bad at managing my money. I've been spending a LOT more than I should on clothes, Venti Lattes, and things that I really don't need.

It's time for me to get on a budget and spend like an adult.

I won't share numbers but, my goal is to save 35% of my income for my emergency fund. 8% of my income should go towards investment which includes PPF, Mutual Funds, and Stocks, and the rest I can spend and save.

Getting Fit

This is a big one.

I am a small person at 5 feet tall. However, in the recent years, I have gained a bit of weight and am currently overweight. I plan on losing some of those extra kilos and live a healthy life. However, I want to lose my weight healthily. No diets, no shortcuts.

My goal is to go to the gym 5 days a week and be active on the weekends as well.

Eating Healthy

I want to eat healthy in the sense that I should minimize eating out or getting takeout and eat healthy, home-cooked Indian meals during the week. During the weekend, I can eat junk food or drink some alcohol, in moderation, of course.

Learn French

Learning a new language is always something that I've been interested in.

So, this year, my goal is to start learning basic French and be able to read, write, and understand the language. Of course, it takes time.

I bought this from the local The Body Shop store in Chandigarh just to try something new. Personally, I am more of strawberry girl but, unfortunately, the scrub wasn't available in that scent 😒😕 so, I decided to go with raspberry instead.

And, it is safe to say that I love it! 😃😄

The Scent

Honestly, this scrub smells SO awesome, you have no idea. In fact, I feel that I smell like the yummiest jam when I apply this to my body. It just smells like heaven and, I'm not sad that I didn't get the strawberry one because I got to try something new! Woohoo! 🙈

Application

This scrub is probably the best for people who have oily and normal skin. Those with sensitive skin should just keep far, far away from this because it can be harsh on your skin.

Also, use it on your skin just ONCE per week because otherwise, you won't give the dead skin cells some time to collect.

Packaging

I love the packaging. It is simple and pretty basic.

All in all, I love this scrub and totally recommend this to you if you're looking to try out something new and awesome.

What I Think: My GlamEgo Box Review

The GlamEgo box is not of. very good quality (like the MSM Box, or the My Envy Box) but, I am still going to save this box because it has Wonder Woman art on it! And, if you know me, you know that I absolutely LOVE Wonder Woman.

So, that was something I liked!

This month's theme is #NoResolutions and, I don't have any serious resolutions, anyway.

The GlamEgo Box for the month of January 2018 contained 4 beauty products worth Rs. 2500 which is a great deal because I only paid Rs. 399!

Following are the products that I got:

Bio Bloom Age Defying and Radiance Booster Face Oil

All in all, I liked three out of the four products that I got.

I wasn't a big fan of the soap because I prefer shower gels but, I will give this one a try, anyway.

With subscription boxes, there is always a chance that you may not end up liking the things you get and that's something I understand.

Let's take a peek at what I got:

Bella Voste Lip Gloss in the colour Turf Tan

If you have read my review of the My Envy Box, December 2017, you know that I got this exact lip gloss in the colour Rouge.

And, in all honesty, it was not my colour at all.

This one, however is.

Formulated in Italy, this lip gloss is very hydrating and is a good choice for people who get dry and chapped lips during the winter months. These provide your lips with the much-needed moisture and make them look plum and fuller.

This is something that I would occasionally wear (since I don't really wear a lot of makeup).

Bio Bloom Age Defying and Radiance Booster Face Oil

I was fist introduced to the organic brand Biobloom last year when I got a face cleanser in the MSM box and, in all honesty, I really liked the brand.

If you read my blog post on a Korean Skincare routine, you know that face oils are awesome.

Even for those with an oily skin.

This natural face oil claims to help tighten, lighten, and rejuvenate your skin. Now, at 22, I don't think my skin needs tightening and rejuvenation so, this is something that I will probably pass along to my mother.

This lightweight face oil comes with a bottle with a dropper. It is pale yellow in colour and smells amazing---something you'd want to wear on your face at night.

On to the next one...

Natural Bath & Body Grapefruit and Vitamin E Moisturiser

In the past, I have tried out two very awesome products from this brand:

And, I even went ahead and purchased a full-sized version of the latter.

But, why am I telling you this?

Well, the thing is that Natural Bath and Body product is a brand that I have tried and tested for myself and their products are always of a high quality.

In all honesty, this Natural Bath & Body Grapefruit and Vitamin E Moisturiser also seems like a good one. Not only does this smell amazing, it also is extremely moisturising and will be a good product for this winter.

If you have oily skin, it can also work as a hand cream!

BioBloom Handmade Soap

This is the last product that I got in this month's GlamEgo Box and it is something that I am not too excited about.

I don't really use soaps anymore.

In fact, I made the move to shower gels a long time ago as they last longer and are more efficient to use and carry.

So, I don't know an awful lot about this one.

GlamEgo Box Review: Will I Purchase it Again?

Even though I liked 3/4 products that I got, I am still considering subscribing to this box for a while.

The thing is, at an affordable price of Rs. 399/- you do get a lot and that's something I like and support! I get to try so many new brands and products at such a small price!

So, I will definitely purchase this box again.

Since last year, I have been travelling a lot which means that I have had to use a lot on unsanitary public toilets during 'emergencies' which have given me raging UTIs.

The Winter Vanilla hand cream smells REALLY nice and is white in colour and of a thick consistency. It applies smoothly and gets easily absorbed in the skin.

However, if you have dry skin, you'll need to apply it more frequently.

Bling Pop Glacier Moisturising Face Mask

Bling pop is a Korean skincare brand which is famous for their sheet masks.

The Glacier moisturising face mask helps hydrate your skin and make it feel pampered and cared for. This mask also gives you the sought after 'glow'!

I feel that this face mask is a good option for people normal to dry skin--especially during winter time.

I will use this face mask post flight when my skin is the most dehydrated.

Blossom Kochhar Clary Sage Moisturising Lotion

Blossom Kochhar is one of the leading aromatherapy brands.

The Clary Sage Moisturising Lotion is suitable for combination skin and has SPF 15 in it---for those who don't like to wear sunscreen or forget to wear it (like me! 🙈).

This moisturise smells really nice and has ingredients such as aloe vera juice, olive oil, etc. that help keep the skin hydrated.

I feel like getting a full-sized version of this but, I have too many moisturisers right now.

Frudia Pomegranate Nutri-moisturizing Cream

Frudia---derived from fruit is another K-Beauty brand.

This moisturiser contains 63% pomegranate extract and is high in the antioxidant polyphenol. The pomegranates are also known as the 'fruit of beauty' as it helps keep your skin wrinkle-free and smooth.

The texture of this cream resembles that of a pudding---it's called the pomegranate pudding.

This is good for those who have dry skin, wrinkles, sensitive skin, and low resilience.

L'erbolario Risposta Dettagli Eye and Lip Contour Cream

L'erbolario is a leading all-Italian brand in the herbal industry. The company started as a small herbalist business, this brand quickly took over the world and now has 600+ different products that they produce.

The Risposta Dettagli is a non-oily anti-wrinkle cream that helps keep your eyes and lips look younger.

This cream provides the right and well-needed nutrition to these sensitive areas of the face and leaves it moisturised, toned, and elastic.

L'erbolario Tra I Ciliegi Shower Gel

Another hit product from the Italian brand L'erbolario, the Tra I Ciliegi shower gel contains cherry blossom as well as cherry tree extracts.

This is the lats thing that I got!

Hayayana Cosmetics is an Indonesian brand (I'll get some of this stuff from Bali!) .

This brand is known to use materials from a silkworm's cocoon to make Beaty products for women. These natural products are non-irritant and are suitable for those who have a sensitive skin.

Is it Even Worth It?: SUGAR Box Review, Pictures and Pricing

I have to say that I am addicted to subscription boxes. I want them all!

After having read so many awesome things about the sugar box, I decided to give it a try in July 2016 and I was extremely disappointed. However, I decided to give the box a second chance and bought myself the Wanderlust Edition.

Let's take a quick look at what I got and I'll also tell you guys a thing or two about this box.

So, let's get started!

A Little About the SUGAR Box

The Sugar Box is a lifestyle monthly subscription box available in India for a price of Rs. 1899/- for one month.

Each month's box had a different theme and it contains some lifestyle items such as mugs, bags, pencils, outfits, etc.

So, it is like getting a gift every month.

I had previously ordered a sugar box but, I wasn't a bog fan of it.

Without further ado, let's begin my sugar box review!

The Wanderlust Edition

The Wanderlust edition of the Sugar box is curated for travellers and contains a lot of travelling essentials. This box comes with seven different items for a nominal price of Rs. 1899! That's really a steal!

Following are the things you SHOULD get as they are listed on the website:

Duffle bag
Eye mask
Shrug---I didn't get this
Passport cover/ wallet
Woollen scarf---My scarf was NOT woollen
All-in-one grooming kit
Doughnut---I did not get this instead, I got a candy

I didn't get the shrug or the doughnut. Instead, I got a dress and some other items that weren't listed on the website. Here's the additional items:

A lightbulb sharpener
A watermelon dress
Ice cream ice pack
Some cloth patches
Some stickers

All these items are quirky and cute---which is totally my style.

But, are these really worth it?

Let's take a look.

My Thoughts on the Wanderlust Edition And Loads of Pics!

I have already told you about my disappointment with a previous sugar box.

But, should I hold it against them for the rest of eternity?

I think not.

That is exactly why I ordered the Wanderlust Edition and I have to say that I feel okay-is about the box. I'll explain why later.

There's one thing we need to do first.

Let's take a peek at the items that I got:

The Duffle Bag

Initially, I didn't really like the duffle bag too much but, I've grown to like it since. I feel that this is an ideal carry-on size luggage. The bag itself looks like a sturdy one and is spacious. It has a zip on one side and a mesh pocket on the other.

And, I really like how it has the words 'Vacay' written on it. Totally in style.

I also like the leather details on this one.

The Eye Mask

The 'Donut Talk to Me' eye mask is something that's cool and quirky. However, it does penetrate a bit of light in it.

It works pretty well for a dimly lit setting but, won't be enough for a well-lit situation.

Also, even though I like the design, I'm not a big fan of the quality of this eye mask.

The Passport Cover and Wallet

This 'Au Revoir' passport cover is definitely something that I'd be using when I fly to Bali later this year. The wallet has two card slots, a big slot for some cash, and a pocket for change. you can easily carry all of your travel documents in this one.

And, it is moderately water-proof!

So, you don't need to worry about the rain either.

The Scarf

According to the Sugarbox website, I was supposed to get a woollen scarf but, the one I got wasn't one.

However, this scarf is a nice one. It is blue in colour and has a nice floral pattern. I have to say, I have worn it a few times and I liked it.

The All-in-one Grooming Kit

This all-in-one grooming kit basically has all the stuff that you might need while travelling. This includes nail cutters, filers, mirror, makeup brushes, etc.

So, with this kit you're prepared for just about anything!

The Sweet

I had gotten this exact same thing in a previous Sugar box but, I didn't like it at all.

BONUS ITEMS

The Dress

This isn't the kind of dress that you'd want to wear outside---you could but, I really don't like the material that much to wear it outside.

I would use this as nightwear during my travels.

The Stickers

According to the packing, these stickers can be used on all kinds of surfaces such as phone cases, clothes, tables, etc.

The Ice Pack

This is the cutest ice pack that I have ever seen and it works really effectively. I feel that this would come in handy when you've got an ouchie on your ankle.

The Cloth Patches

I got four of these patches in my Sugarbox and I really like the 'fries before guys' one the most. It'll look good on a white t-shirt.

I liked the Flamingo one as well but, it is kind of faded and may not look very good on a top.

The Sharpener

This is probably the most random thing that I have gotten. It is a sharpener in the shape of a lightbulb. Good thing that I'm still a student because I'll get some use out of it.

The sharpener was kind of broken when I got it out of the box and id cracked.

Also, not very good at sharpening pencils.

Meh.

My SUGAR Box India Review

The items that I really like include the following:

The duffle bag
The scarf
The passport cover

The thing is that I've always set my expectations too high for the Sugar Box to meet. I know that I paid a nominal amount of Rs. 1899/- for this box and for that price the number of things that I've gotten are good.

However, these aren't the kind of things that will last very long.

Like, the doughnut eye mask is really cute but not of a high quality and same is the case with the all in one grooming kit, the dress, sharpener, etc.

I like my things to last.

I would rather invest more money and get cute stuff that are high in quality because I like getting my money's worth.

SUGAR Box Problem Resolution: Did I Get The Missing Item?

I contacted the Sugar Box customer care and it took them about 2 days to email me back tasing for the order number and details.

After that, they took another two days to tell me that I will not be getting the missing item.

The thing is that I contacted them after 15 days of receiving the box. According to their policy, you must contact them within 2 days.

I feel that this policy isn't really right.

What if you were out of town when the package was delivered?

Most companies have a 15-30 day policy and I feel that that's a fair deal.

All in all, I wasn't very satisfied with the Sugar Box customer support.

Final Words: Is The Sugar Box Worth It?

I wouldn't personally invest my money in the Sugar box for a monthly basis because I really like my things to last long and look cute at the same time.

However...

For the nominal amount of Rs. 1,899 you pay, it is a good deal and value-for-money. Especially if you're looking for quirky stuff.

But, its not for me.

Also, I'm not a fan for their customer care.

I would rather pay a premium and buy my quirky stuff from stores like Accessorize or Claire's as their stuff is 100x better in quality.

Or...

I could get stuff for a fraction of the price from Ali Express and wait 60 days for them to de delivered.

I have been subscribed to the My Envy Box for quite a while now and have been fairly happy with the boxes that I've gotten in the past. In today's blog post I decided to share the My Envy Box December 2017 review.

But, before I get into the unboxing, I'd like to first talk about the box and the company.

My Envy Box Review

Price: Starts from Rs. 850/- per month

The My Envy Box is a monthly luxury subscription box based in Delhi. They have two boxes:

The Beauty box (which I'll be reviewing in this blog post)
The Jewellery Box

What I really like about the My Envy Box is that each month's box comes in a different pattern and colour which is appropriate for the month's theme.

That's probably why I haven't been able to throw out any of my previous boxes.

My Envy Box December 2017 Review

The My Envy Box December 2017 came with four full-sized products which was something that I really appreciated.

I mean, when do you ever get a deal this good?

Following are the things that I got:

Bella Voste Lip Liner in the colour Inflamed: I really like the colour of this---it is perfect for someone who likes to wear a bold lip and is definitely perfect for Christmas. However, you need to have REALLY white teeth to pull this of off.

Bella Voste Lip Gloss in the colour Rouge: This one is a perfect match for the lip liner and is really glossy and pigmented. However, people with certain skin tones can pull this shade off and I'm afraid I am not one of those people.

Vert Gold Highlighter: It's all natural and vegan---which is something that attracted me to this product in the first place. It smells like my mom's kitchen.

Votre 5 in 1 Skin Perfecting cream: I have heard all good things about this one from my friends and I wonder if this would work miracles for me as well.

I haven't had the chance to use these products yet but, I will let you know my thoughts on them and review them all in detail as soon as I can!

My First Impressions: What I Think of the Products I Got!

If you've been reading the Pretty Lady Blog for a while now, you probably know that I am not one of those girls who wears a lot of makeup. I walk around the world wearing nothing but some moisturiser most of the time and am completely okay with it.

However...

Three of the four products that I got in this box were makeup goodies which I won't be using a lot of anyway.

But, subscription boxes are a gamble that way!

My Final Thoughts

I feel that this month's My Envy Box was a great deal because you get four full-sized products. However, for a person like myself who doesn't wear a lot of make up, it was still a good box.

I really don't think I would be using a lot of the makeup stuff.

A Little About the MSM Box

The MSM Box is probably one of the most affordable beauty subscription boxes in India and starts from a subscription plan of Rs. 695 per month.

The box contains 4-6 samples as well as full-size items.

But, one thing that I dislike about this box is that they repeat some items from their previous boxes and you end up getting a few samples of the same items that you have gotten before.

This is one of my winter essentials and I have reviewed it previously on the blog as well. You can check out my thoughts here.

I actually am in love with this body lotion and I have been using it for quite a while so I really liked having a travel-sized bottle of it as well.

Bio Bloom Facial Scrub Gel

I was actually looking for a good exfoliating scrub since I recently finished mine and I am excited to. give this one a try. I haven't opened it yet so, I won't lie to you.

But, I'll let you know how I liked it when I do use it.

Inatur Skin Whitening Papaya Lotion

I really am not a big fan of whitening products but, I have heard a few good things about the brand so, I'll post a review whenever I try this...

Sweet and Shimmer Lip Gloss

The Sweet and Shimmer Lip gloss has four different shades in one tube. I honestly liked the last shade but, I'll have to go through ALL the shades before I reach it.

I really like the concept but, sadly, I really don't wear lip glosses. So, I don't think I'd reach that colour in 2018.

Well, the Korean Skincare Routine is an exhaustive multi-step routine that Koreans follow. But it's all an exaggeration of the three-step routine that you fail at following---Cleansing, Exfoliating, and Treating!😉

Koreans start with this in their teenage years, and that's the secret to their flawless skin! If you're a teenager then you should probably start this right now and your skin will thank you later!

Wait, what? That's just it? No. 🙈

There's more.

If you follow a Korean skincare regimen, you'll get healthy, glowing and beautiful skin that'll feel pampered. Korean skincare routine is usually about 10 steps long. Now you must be thinking I can't even follow a 3 step process, and you expect me to follow a 10 step one!? I was just like you!🙊😅

There's a reason why people all over the world are raving about this regimen! Even though it seems like an exhaustive process it doesn't take very long, and you don't have to follow all the 10 steps every day! It usually takes me about 20-30 minutes max.

You're probably thinking why an oil cleanser? I'll tell you...👻

That's because oil gets drawn out by oil.

You must be thinking why you should care about this, well that's simply because most of the products that we use, like sunscreen, foundation, bb creams, etc. are based on oil. So, an oil cleanser removes all the gunk that your regular cleanser can't!😇

Here are some of the best Korean oil cleansers that I've come across:

The Face Shop Natural Water Light Cleanser: This is a great pick for people with oily skin as it has a non-greasy formula that hydrates your skin and leaves it feeling soft and supple.
Etude House Real Art Cleansing Oil: What I like about this is that it contains coconut oil and can take off that stubborn waterproof makeup right off!
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil: This cleansing oil is one of the best in the world and features a unique water-soluble formula which is just amazing!

Step 2: Water-based Cleanser

After the oil cleansing method, this is 'double trouble' for all that gunk and bacteria on your face!💪😉

Using a water-based cleanser helps remove whatever residue the oil left behind and all the other remaining impurities so that your skin is squeaky clean!

Say bye-bye to acne, clogged pores and blackheads!😈

What I use: The Faceshop Rice Water Bright Rice Cleansing Water, 145ml💕

In my quest to find the best water-based cleanser, I came across some awesome products:

Hada Lobo Tokyo Gentle Hydrating Cleanser: This Japanese face wash cleans away everything that you have on your face leaving you with clean, happy, and hydrated skin
Rohto New Hadalabo Gokujan Hyaluronic Face Wash: This face wash is Japanese, too, and foams gently while maintaining your skin's pH level
The Face Shop Foaming Facial Cleanser: This face wash has a gentle, non-residual formula which nourishes and moisturizes your skin

Step 3: Exfoliator

Exfoliation helps you get rid of all the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin so that your skin always looks polished, soft and supple!

You can use scrubs, wash-cloths or exfoliation packs that have become a massive trend in Korea.

Oh, and if you're someone who is struggling with acne or with acne scars then you should never skip this step. Ever. 👍

Oh, and you should exfoliate twice a week if you have normal skin. If you're suffering from a breakout, exfoliate only once a week until it clears up!

What I use: 😘Innisfree Green Tea Pure Body Gel Scrub Korean Beauty [Imported]😻

I've also tried out the Skinfood Black Sugar Strawberry Scrub and was a huge fan of that!

Step 4: Toner

I'm not talking about an astringent or something alcohol based here. The Korean toners are used to balance your skin's pH levels and bridge the gap between cleansing and your actual skincare routine.

You must be thinking about why you need a toner...

It's simple.

Just think of your skin as a sponge—it’s more difficult to rehydrate it when it’s dried up than when it’s already a bit damp.🙍

What I got: 💜The Faceshop Chia Seed Hydrating Toner, 145ml💜

There are some tones that I feel like I need to mention in this:

The Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Toner: This toner is gentle on your skin and contains Green Tea extracts which ensure that you don't break out!
The Mamonde Rose Water Toner is another favorite of mine because it's really gentle on the skin

Step 5: Essence

Essence is basically the heart of the Korean skincare regimen and it's a toner and serum hybrid that hydrates the skin and refines the texture, making it softer and baby-like.

This is an optional step, but I recommend you follow this too. 💖

The Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence, too, is an excellent choice as it contains natural bee venom which has anti-inflammatory properties.

Step 6: Serum

Serums are bae. I'll tell you why...

They are meant for your skin's specific concerns like aging, hyperpigmentation, etc., etc. And are watery in consistency and contain active ingredients that help address your issues!

So, buy yourself an amazing serum and use it every night before bed!

My Favourite: The Faceshop White Seed Brightening Serum, 50ml💕💓

I've also tried out Elizavecca Hell Pore Control serum because of the cute as hell packaging and loved it!

Step 7: Sheet Mask

I'm judging you if you don't know what a sheet mask is...🙊

Sheet masks are quite amazing, actually. It's basically a damp paper with magical properties that you put on your face for 15-20 minutes and just relax.

You must have watched the “Closer” Music Video by The Chainsmokers, right? They used a Polaroid camera and I don't know about you but I loved it!

A Poloroid camera can make a nice gift for your girl, especially if she loves taking photographs! Also, Polaroid cameras are "in" these days. I'm sure she'd appreciate you getting one for her.

A Guide to your First Bikini Wax

If you're reading this then its safe to assume that you are interested in trying the bikini wax but, at the same time want to be fully prepared and a few months ago, I was like you so I know exactly how you feel right now. Getting a bikini wax for the first time can be scary so I'll share some tips with you that'll make it less scary and a better experience.

Price: The price range is around ₹ 400 - Rs. 2500 depending upon the place and the type of wax they'll be using on you.

I personally get it done for ₹ 400 with the normal honey wax. However, I have a high tolerance for pain and if you have a lower tolerance I'd suggest you try the Chocolate/Rica wax for your first time.

Before you get an appointment

Look for a good place

You should look for a good place to get your bikini wax done from. I'd suggest you look at online ratings of the parlour/salon and ask your friends about the places they'd suggest. Make sure you go to a place that you can afford and ask if they're offering any discounts. If you're a student, ask for a student discount.

Research which kind of wax is better for you

There are several different waxes to choose from and it totally depends upon the type of skin you have, your level of pain tolerance, etc. Do as if your parlour uses the particular kind of wax and the charges for it. Rica and Chocolate wax is usually more expensive than the sugar/honey wax.

On the day of the appointment

Wear a clean cotton underwear

Try not to wear the sexy lacy thongs, satin underwear, etc. you are better off wearing the ugly (but clean) cotton granny-panties instead since they are more breathable and comfortable. You will want to feel comfortable during your first every bikini wax.

Schedule it according to your cycle

You would want to schedule your first bikini wax around your mid cycle since your pubic area is more sensitive a few days before your period.

Do not trim/shave your hair

It will be harder / more coarse if you trim your hair a few days before or on the day of your appointment and it will definitely hurt more. Just don't do it.

Pop an over-the-counter pain killer

If you're one of the girls who hurts a lot getting her armpits waxed then, girl, you need to pop the OTC pain killer at least 20 minutes before your appointment.

My Experience

My first experience of the dreaded bikini wax was rather good. I had been told a lot of horror stories from my friends which turned out to not be true. On a scale of 1-10, the pain was a 6 at the most and from my experience the pain lessens every time I get it done. Right now, its a 4 at the most for me.

REVIEW: Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion

I had gotten a tiny sample of this body lotion in my February 2016 Fabbag and I have re-purchased it twice since. This had been my go-to body lotion during the winters and I feel that this is my favourite body lotion till date.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E(400ml)/13.5fl.oz

The Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion bottle is bigger than that of any other lotion that I have seen and it comes with a pumping mechanism which is very convenient. It takes me about 5-6 pumps of the product for my entire body and I'm good for the day. The product itself is of light yellow colour, the colour of butter and even though its a little thick, it gets absorbed easily by the skin and is ultra moisturising. I feel that this would be a holy-grail product for those with dry, flaky skin.

The body lotion literally smells like chocolate, sweet and mouth-watering but the scent doesn't last very long on the skin which I feel is a good thing. Since I've started using this product, my skin has started feeling soft and well-nourished and cared for. I have also seen a difference in the appearance of my stretch marks, and I feel that they have faded a little since I've been using this product, but I don't know for sure since I didn't take any before/after images.

All in all this has been my favourite body lotion that I have tried and I've been using this during this winter season and I am extremely happy with this lotion and I don't think I'll be switching to any other body lotion anytime soon.

REVIEW: The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter

I always had my eye on The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter and recently purchased it to pamper my skin and keep it from getting dry during the winter season. I have heard so many good things about this body butter and just had to try it myself and see if it was worth the hype.

I have always loved The Body Shop's packaging and this Body Butter comes in a small red-coloured plastic tub with a screw-on lid. It has a photograph of a juicy strawberry on the top with 'The Body Shop' branding. Inside the tub is the baby-pink coloured body butter. The moment you open the lid, you can smell the sweet scent of strawberries which honestly makes my mouth water, but the tub says that it is not edible (which is obvious) so I'm guessing there have been some cases in which people might have consumed it...

The Body Butter itself is very creamy and gets easily absorbed by the skin and makes it feel hydrated and pampered. Its not super hydrating since its formulated for normal skin, but it lasts me the entire day and I usually need to apply this only once a day even if its dry outside. It makes my skin feel as soft as a baby's bottom and oh-so hydrated and nice! I really am in love with this Body Butter and I feel that even though it is a little pricy, it is well worth the money. I usually use it once a week when I feel like pampering myself and I feel like a princess when I'm wearing it and my friends always ask me why I smell so nice when I'm wearing it and I feel like its a very nice pick me up product.

All in all I would like to say that this product is really worth the money you spend on it and I think you should buy this for yourself to pamper your skin during the winters and feel like princess.

REVIEW: L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil Shampoo and Masque

A few weeks ago I got my long hair cut shorter than I would have liked to but I had to because most of my hair were dry, dull and damaged. I'm not the kind of girl who really styles her hair much, my mom has to nag me to comb them during off days, so I don't get how they got so damaged. It was very hard for me to get them snipped but I had no other choice *sobs*
My hair are--for a lack of another word--wild. They like to do what they want and I've been very upset with them. My hair dresser recommend that I try the L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil Shampoo and mask. I've never really been a fan of the brand but I thought that I would give it a try and now I can't seem to shut up about this product.

Price: Rs. 850/- for each.

The Shampoo
Let me start with the shampoo. It comes in a beautiful light gold coloured bottle with a pump, which is something that I fancy, but it also means that when you start to get at the bottom of the bottle, you'll have some trouble. The shampoo itself is colourless and odourless and it doesn't lather which I know is a good thing but I'm a little lukewarm about it. I usually use 2 pumps of shampoo for my hair and I wash my hair about time a week. I personally really like this shampoo and I feel like its very gentle on my hair and gets the job done, my hair feel nourished and shine and are less frizzy.
I am definitely going to re-purchase this one.

The Masque
I have heard so many good things about this masque and let me tell you, this masque is bae. I have everything good to say about this masque. This here is my secret weapon!
My hair dresser told me to use the masque once a week but I use it almost every time I wash my hair and it has made my hair soft, smooth and so so shiny! It comes in a tub packaging which is light gold in colour and the lid is dark gold. The product itself is white in colour and smells very nice. I put it in my hair for about 3-4 minutes and rinse. This is seriously the best masque that I have tried!

I know that these products are a little expensive but they are a good investment. I have a feeling that the shampoo and masque would last me about 3-4 months. If you can, you should definitely try these. Have you already tried the shampoo and masque? Did you like it?

New Year Resolutions

I'd like to wish everyone who's reading this a very Happy New Year! I know we all make a lot of new year resolutions that we don't end up sticking to, but we make them anyway. I've been good at sticking to the past few resolutions that I've made and I'd like to share with you my resolutions for the year 2017.

To read two books every month

I have always liked to read books, but lately I feel that I just can't find the time to read, I waste a lot of time than I would care to admit on the Internet doing basically nothing but watching videos, liking, commenting, etc. I would like to do more than that.

To eat clean

As much as I can and limit my intake of fast food. I obviously can't stop eating junk food and fast food, but I want to have a healthy and sustainable diet, after all you are what you eat! I'd like to eat more fruits and vegetables, eat less sugar and avoid packaged food and carbonated beverages.

To workout consistently

I'm the kind of person who would workout 7 days in a row and then just stop for a month. I want to be consistent and inculcate some form of physical activity/sport in my everyday life and get a rockin' body! I mean doesn't everyone want that?

To do something creative every month

Be it a DIY project, a painting or a short story, I want to create something new every month and put my energy into feeding my creative instinct.

To work hard

I want to work hard on my studies and any internships that I commit myself to. I want to be more productive and responsible as a person.

Now this doesn't mean I want to change myself, I just want to better myself, no "New year, new me" bullshit over here.

The five goals I have aren't difficult to achieve and I hope that in 2017 I am able to meet my goals and be a better version of myself.

And also, I just love how this meme surfaces every year!
