Here I would like to provide whatever information I have on this subject, please correct me if I provide any information which you feel need to be corrected.

Relativity:

Albert Einstein has proposed "Theory of Relativity" in 1905. In 1905 Einstein presented three papers among which one paper is about Theory of Relativity, among other two papers one discusses about "Brownian Motion" in which he discussed about the motion of Particles in Fluids the other discusses about "Photo Electric Effect" in which he describe how electrons will emit from the metal surface upon incidence of photons for which he received his Nobel Prize.

We can divide Theory of Relativity in two parts first "Theory of Special Relativity" which discusses about nature of Light and the second "Theory of General Relativity" which discusses about Gravitation.
  Theory of Special Relativity:

The Theory of Special Relativity discusses about Light. Light is a source of information as it carries the information from one point of Universe to other point. Einstein proposed that Speed of Light is constant and it's value does not change even if we measure the speed from different Frame of References the reason for this is that Light is a physical phenomenon so it should be same in any frame of reference. This conclusion has given very interesting results out of which one result is non existence of Absolute Time.

The non existence of absolute time means there is no standard time in the universe, time is different in different frames of reference. We have Measurement Standards in our Earth for example to measure distance we have standard as "Meter" which we defined as the distance traveled by Cesium radiation in some particular amount of time, when there is no standard each one has their own standard and each entity has full right to define their own standards.

The non existence of absolute time has give rise to Time Travel. Time in any frame of reference depends on it's relative speed with the Speed of Light. We can confirm non existence of time by following three points.

There is no absolute rest position in the Universe every thing in the universe is in motion.

Every one in the Universe has equal right to consider themselves at rest. Suppose there are two individuals in universe and there is no gravitational influence on both among which one is in Spacecraft which is traveling at speed which is comparable to speed of light(Ex:0.8C where C is speed of light) and the other one is at rest . According to these two individuals one is at rest and the other one is in motion, this is the case when we compare the Frame's of Reference of these two persons. Both the individuals has equal right to consider themselves at rest so when both measure the speed of Light it should give same result to both.

When speed of light is same in two frames of reference traveling with respect to each other then we can conclude that the times in these two frames of reference is different hence non existence of absolute time.

The another important proposal of Theory of Relativity is the bending of Light under gravitational influence which is proved.

Though this is very small portion of Relativity it has much more concepts and it has various other aspects. I will try to update the other aspects soon.

<var>
</var>
