Climate change is an issue that impacts the entire global community. Most recent natural disasters could be related to this serious environmental threat. The lives of millions of people and other living beings are being devastated by rising temperatures, floods, droughts and storms. These environmental problems have intensified financial and food insecurity. The severity of these issues has pressured world leaders to give serious consideration to climate change and other environmental concerns. The Executive Council of Religions for Peace USA is taking a number of steps to reduce costs; despite contributions from several member religious communities and affiliates, the financial situation of Religions for Peace USA has faced increasing challenges in the past year due to the economic recession and decreased charitable giving. Due to these financial challenges, the Executive Council has accepted the resignation of Religions for Peace USA’s Executive Director, Dr. Lucinda Mosher.
