Exciting, to be sure. I'm listening to nothing at the moment. I'm simply trying to create space for God to speak. It means getting up early for me, as I have 3 small kids that make contemplative time hard when they are awake. But here is my prayer this morning:

I pray for self-awareness, that I may see myself in two ways: 1) how others see me. 2) How God see's me. I know these are not the same things.

We all have preconceived notions about who we are, how we interact, and what we think of ourselves. But are the perceptions real and valid. Or is it just us projecting what we want to be on how others should see us. In my "other hour" as I have been calling it, I have been asking God for some clarity. This clarity has impact on the decisions and interactions I have in my life. It ultimately speaks of how I can do the business of the kingdom in life, how my voice resonates with others as my life is an extension of that. I have made mistakes, I do make mistakes. . .

Kind of a melancholy post, but it is cloudy and looks rain.

Hey everyone: We meet in the sanctuary this week with the larger church. This is due to a scheduling conflict at Wong Kerlee. I am excited to meet with the larger church, and while we will make some adjustments to fit a slightly different demographic (read: We won't be so LOUD!) worship will still be led by Chris Picco and his band.

a cold day in london, but we made it. we are waiting to board for nairobi. Just posting this from an internet cafe in the airport. please continue to pray for us as we head to the longest leg of the journey. everyone with us is great and we are having a good time already. Can't wait to get to camp. 8 more hours in a plane and then who knows how long the drive will be!


we checked out the tate building, museum of modern art, the millinium bridge, the tower bride, and pizza by the old globe theater. very cool!

A quick thank you to Chris picco, Jason Slater and Mark Holm for all their help getting us down to the airport.
