It has been a hell of a year for movies. There have been a lot of great films in many different genres. Like no other year in recent memory there is not clear cut one or two top picks. My top 3 films are easily interchangeable for me depending on the day so I just put them in alphabetical order. There are plenty of other films like Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Seven Psychopaths, Silver Linings Playbook, Safety Not Guaranteed, Killer Joe, Zero Dark Thirty, Moonrise Kingdom, Chronicle, 21 Jump Street, and Indie Game: The Movie that could have easily made my top 5.

Without further ado, here is my top 5 of 2012.

Most Anticipated Movies of 2013

2013 doesn't seem to bring as much weight with it as 2012 did with titles like The Dark Knight Rises and the Avengers but maybe a decrease in expectations will allow films to be appreciated under less pressure.

There are always some small films that pop up throughout the year so this is by no means a definitive list or one I'll be looking at to choose my top 5 of 2013 but from what I know now, this is what I'm looking forward to most.

Believe it or not there are people who thought 2012 was a disappointing year for games. I think those people are insane. There has been such a large amount of interesting games this year. 2012 is the first time in a few years I had real trouble coming up with a top 5.

My top 5 lists for 2012 are coming soon but before I look back let's look forward to 2013. I won't be adding games that may or may not come out in 2013 like Watchdogs or Star Wars 1313 but I suspect after E3 we'll have a better feel of when those games are coming.

Unboxing & Review: Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device Custom Kit

This is the latest Portal gun replica from NECA. The 'custom kit' version combines all three previous version into one. You can customize this version to look like Atlas, P-Body or Chell's version of the device.

The look of it as a display piece is great but I felt like the feel of it in your hands is a little more "pasticy" than I expected. The way the lights work also could have been handled better. That being said for what this is it's very reasonably priced. You can get it now for $99.99 over at the Big Bad Toy Store.
