I lost a pound so far and am hoping to lose 10 total by Thanksgiving -- 15 to 20 by Christmas. We shall see!

I did yoga this morning with Steve Ross. Love his style!
That's been true for a few weeks. But I got off track and now I keep looking at next week, knowing that I'll be out of town and I rarely do well out of town while eating raw. So I keep thinking I'll wait until after that. Not the smartest idea though. Just wasting time.

Enough of my weight gain. I'm getting it off once and for all. I've been postponing it this past month and just ended up 5 pounds heavier. Oh joy. My new mantra is that any day I don't eat raw is another day I won't lose weight. My clothes barely fit, so I'm wearing skirts to keep myself from the uncomfortable-ness of wearing tight pants or capris.

I'm curious how long this will take to lose the 15 pounds. I lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks last time I ate raw during the fall challenge a year ago. I hope I can lose the 15 in 6 weeks (or even sooner), but we'll see. I sure hope I stick with it and journal so I can record it and see how I did later on for fun. I have memories of quick and solid weight loss for my Beachbody trips and last fall. It stayed off for months until I let baking get back into my life. So I'll HAVE to not let that happen again this time.

I won't focus on how fast I want it to happen though. I'll just focus on eating raw and eating right. So far today, so good. If I make it past about 2:00 or 3:00 pm., then that's a good sign of success for that day. I tend to get off track usually mid-afternoon.

I'll do some yoga later tonight. TTFN!

Healthy Habits

I'm getting to where I want to eat more grains and wheat. I'm not sure why. It's always satisfying to eat it, but I know I never lose weight eating it. I think the reason I'm doing it is because I've been eating less of it these past 6 weeks and still haven't lost any weight, so I'm thinking, "What's the difference?" Well, the difference is that I have more incontinence problems. Makes me sad. So I'll keep working on this.....slowly but surely. TTFN!

This is what I wrote to the Healthy Habits group today

We're getting close to the end now with just a little under 2 weeks left. I'd like to hear what is still a frustration point for you. I'm finding that some of the goals are sheer ease and effortless to make happen. A few I still have to tell myself, "Do it! Come on, do it!"

So for this week's bonus point, either reply to this e-mail or on the blog and let us know what the biggest challenge of the challenge has been for you.

For me, it's getting my 3 vegetables (1 green) per Plan A. If I plan and prepare something, I'm fine. If I go in my usual graze mode throughout the day, I have to remind myself to do it. I wish it were just second nature like the water and fruit is for me.

I'd also like to hear what your biggest improvement has been. I think it's exercise for me. I'm finally back to my usual exercise regime as I was before I moved. Feels great!

Healthy Habits

I think I'm really tired of journaling. Strange because I love to write! I just save it for the end of the day when I have no more umph left!
My eating was good today though. I'm just a bit bummed because I haven't lost any weight with this challenge yet and am starting to doubt I ever can again. Not a good place to be in. So I'll just hope and continue on.

After that, I got ready and we went to the beach to see James Durbin from American Idol do a concert. We had to get there hours early to get decent seats (if you can call them seats on the sand), but it was well worth it and a ton of fun. I'm using the 20 minute or so walk each way as my workout today. Also, just sitting up on the ledge of the Boardwalk worked my thighs like squats. I sat up there for over an hour!
My eating was good. Everything good, I think. I may still need to read a bit. TTFN!

Healthy Habits

Tomorrow I will put all the entries in and I will record all that I eat in my journal entry. I will also write to the group! Spa to Dawn, Yoga dvd to Melissa!

Healthy Habits -- Day 23

Today I felt great. I woke up just minutes before my alarm was to go off at 5:35 all refreshed. I did Cathe's Cardio & Weights workout -- sweated and loved it! My eating was mostly raw. I ate some popcorn and a vegan potato dish at the the bridal shower tonight (well, the popcorn just before the bridal shower). All in all, I did pretty well. Need to stop eating so much popcorn though or I won't lose weight. Most of the day was right on track though.............I've been going through old photos, putting family pics from friends and relative that they send out for Christmas into photo albums. It's so rewarding and fun. I can't wait until all my photos are in albums so we can access them easily and I don't have so many little Rubbermaid buckets with pictures in them. Then I can get to the digital photos and will start printing up some of them to treasure in books for our children to enjoy. Off to read my 15 min. of spiritual reading for the day. TTFN!

Healthy Habits -- Week 5 Begins!

I can hardly believe the challenge is 1/2 over! In many ways I'm doing well. In others, I'd like to be doing better. But that's okay. Half way and today was great! Cardio in the morning before the kids went to school, yoga afterward. My eating was pretty much all raw with lots of green smoothie(s). I haven't done all of my reading yet, but am about to. It gets more challenging to stop eating at 8:00 with it being lighter later, but I'm getting used to that too. I think I may just end this challenge with as much success as the last one. Kids calling! TTFN!

Healthy Habits -- end of week 4

I think I got off on my days last week -- the #s were off, I mean. My week of regrouping didn't turn out as fabulous as I'd hoped. The workouts were good, but the eating was only mostly good. I'd like it to be better than that because my allergies are acting up and I need stellar eating to combat that. So once again, I ponder, plan for the next week and forge ahead. Need to do yoga today since I missed my workout yesterday. Tomorrow I"ll do some KCM cardio before yoga. TTFN!

Healthy Habits -- Day ?

I'm losing count of my days. I wrote by hand last night and need to fill it in to catch up. I'll write much more tomorrow after church. Too busy tonight to expound on life, but I will say that my diet is key to warding off my seasonal allergies. More tomorrow!

Healthy Habits -- Day 23

I'm thinking tomorrow I want to journal in the morning. Did Kelly Coffey-Meyer's Circuit Blast plus 3 sections of the 10 Minute Solution Pilates on the Ball. My eating is great too. I just keep getting late afternoon headaches, which lead to a nap and then still headaches afterward for at least an hour. I must be detoxing from eating more raw.

I'm hoping to get up even earlier for my workout tomorrow. I had to split 1/2 of it before taking the kids to school and 1/2 afterward. TTFN!

Healthy Habits -- Day 21

Doing well so far. Haven't had my veggies and I keep resisting making a green smoothie. But I've been eating raw, did yoga this morning and have been enjoying this nice warm weather! Off to make my smoothie now since I only have an hour left before 8:00. TTFN!
