The RenoTechCast is back!

After a long absence from the relm of blogging and podcasts, the RenoTechCast is proud to be back! Taking some time off to experience the realm of video (with fair success I might add) our journey brings us back. Why? Well our philosophy is that there is just to much going on in the world of gaming and tech to ignore. Why not share our insight with the world? It seems to be an almost daily occurance that a person asks Doug or myself about: the newest phones out, or the hottest video games, and electronics.Sharing with you here is not just about sharing a thought, but connecting with every person who takes the time to thoughtfully read our posts'.

What is our goal?

RenoTechCast as a whole is here to do nothing but provide worthwhile information and express our opinion. If there is one thing we do love it is pure feedback. Negative or positive, feedback is feedback. Hearing it can only make ourselves overall better at catering to the needs and wants of our viewers.

Why just now start the blog?

Truth is there is no real reason text wasn't the first wave of communication with the fans. Its typical to see other sites start as text blogging. We the RenoTechCast were looking for something different. Trying to garner a fan base based off of things others weren't doing. Audio seemed like a logical first step in providing a new way to join in the fun. Having great success thanks to you all we moved onto the ever exciting world of video on our YouTube Video Game Channel. Experiencing an ever growing fan base we're proud to say 599 times have people enjoyed the humor and overall good time that is the RenoTechCast. Moving forward I thought, how can we make this a better experience? it's not always the case that an hour long podcast or a long video may be suitable for you to enjoy. sometimes nothing beats the overall experience of reading, reading seems to captivate the mind and help influence the imagination. My describing a game to you could be completely different relative to seeing it being played out. In a sense it robs the human brain of, possibly it's most powerful tool. Imagination.

How to listen on IOS

Step one:
This will be done through your Iphone/Ipod/Ipad and will make listening to the podcast very simple since all you will do is open up the podcast app, click our icon and if there are any new episodes, they will be available as soon as we post them. Download the official Podcast app by apple. Click here or the purple icon. Let it download and when it's done come back to this page.

Step two:
When the next website loads please click on your address bar and hit "go" again. Please click here or the orange icon, This time the podcast app will open up. Select sync, not now to auto downloads (we don't want to eat up all your data), and hit subscribe. You will see our icon (or lack thereof) and simply click on it and all the episodes will be inside with the option to download or stream. It just works!

How to Listen on Android

Step One:
All of this will be done through your android phone; it's really easy, don't worry! Download this application called Podkicker. It's free, fast, and does EXACTLY what you need it to do. There is a paid version available, so if you have the dough, kick it towards the developers. Please click here or the Google Play Icon and download it from the Playstore. Don't open the app after it's done installing, come back to this site.

Step Two:
Please click here or the orange icon, this is a direct download to our RSS feed.On Android, a window will pop up asking you what application you would like to use. make Podkicker the default app. As shown in the next image.

Step Three:
If you have done this correctly, podkicker will show up with the the subscribe feed button already filled out. Hit the subscribe button.

Step Four:
Providing that you did the steps correctly, tap the channels button and you should see something like the image to the left. Click on RENO TECH PODCAST and inside will be all of our episodes, and when you click on one of our episodes it will give you the option of streaming or downloading it. I would recommend streaming it since it will save the position you last left it if you want to stop and resume. ENJOY!

Adrian and I thought that there needed to be a podcast for people to enjoy. People that love technology and know the key personalities and talents behind your favorite games or pieces of tech. It also had to be easy enough to follow that even if you didn't know that behind the scenes talent, you felt as though you had learned -just- a little bit to keep on listening and stay entertained along the way. We have recorded a total of 2 podcasts now, and while it's not perfect; it's an earnest attempt at making something that you will enjoy listening to week after week! If you have any feedback, let us know!
