Let me see if I got this right. Joe Biden does his speech in Pennsylvania and can't even come close to filling a high school Gymnasium, and Donald Trump is in PA the same week and fills a stadium to overflow capacity. The exact same way every rally looked in 2020. Joe Biden can't fill seats, but somehow won PA by a million votes after an unprecedented extra 5 days of locked door vote counting?

I now understand why people are conspiratorial. He still can't fill seats when we're not in a pandemic, and somehow he won a record number of votes? It makes no sense. He's an incoherent mess, his policies are disastrous, his Vice President is a complete fail of a human being, he fills his administration with token minorities who are not qualified to drive a school bus, let alone be in high seats of power (His Supreme Court nominee notwithstanding. She has credentials.) By every conceivable metric Biden is a failure.

He’s been writing bad policy for decades, spewing racist remarks for decades, throwing praise at Klan members for decades, being an all around putz and after how many failed attempts at becoming president, he suddenly garners the favor of the American people?

COVID not withstanding, the train wreck of a human being called Trump had the best economy most of us have seen in our lifetimes. No conflict in the Middle East and Asia, successful trade policies, record Stock market, record low unemployment. While we still have record low unemployment, but we fail to remember the millions of people who quit the workforce and took themselves off the rolls leaving us with a massive labor shortage.

Energy independence under Trump….now after Biden shutting down pipelines, and failing to renew permits or issue new ones, we are relying on despotic regimes again for our oil.

The Middle East is in turmoil. North Korea is threatening expanding nuclear weapons, China is threatening Taiwan, Russia invaded Ukraine, Bosnia and Kosovo are close to warring again, and continued unrest in Israel. All of which were fixed or quelled under Trump.

Now I know I’ll get comments about this or that regarding Trump, but I’ll simply say this. Nothing the Democrats accused Trump of has been proven despite hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars being spent, and the nations most elite law enforcement agencies investigating him. 6 years now, and they have nothing. Just like this whole classified document scandal will not be nearly as effective as they are hoping.

6 years of pushing a lie instead of focusing on the country is the reason the democrats are not something I think about. They aren’t ever going to change, their socialist rhetoric is the same pathetic nonsense that turned Venezuela from a very wealthy country into a third world shit hole and we should all soundly reject it.

I’m not going to win friends with this rant, but I don’t care. There’s no going back for me. The two party system is dead, and the only way forward is through chaos and third party rise to dominance. Third party can anything that isn’t D or R, and the chaos will be Donald Trump and outsiders like him.

All the fortune and prosperity I had two years ago is now gone. The hope I felt has been extinguished, and now all that is left is a path of survival and a plan for securing a better future. None of which will be provided for by our current state of government.

How to Fight Activism

An activist is usually guided by ideological forces that distort their view into an unrecognizable parade of incoherent concepts, ideas uncoupled from reality, and violent dogma disguised as ‘social justice’.

If you are approached by someone making such claims, do not engage with them, run and find someone with an intellect and reason to quickly deprogram you before the infection takes hold.Such forces are a menace to polite society and should be systematically eradicated through non-violent means.

By non-violent means I am referring to any tactics necessary to facilitate the delegitimization of their ideology and methods, the destruction of their power over corporate and political organizations, and the removal of their destructive influence over the education system in this country.

If you must engage with them here are some tips on how to approach such dangerous creatures:

Science, reason, facts, and common sense should be the tools of the righteous, never bricks and bats as are employed by the false heroes of the activist set.

Be always a voice of reason. Promote common sense ideas, and peaceful solutions to problems. Do your research, and always triple check your facts. When a situation arises do your level best to engage in truthful conversation, and do not let the badgering of the pretzel-logic pop-tards provoke you.

They want you to stoop to their level. They will record the interaction and twist it to make you the bad guy. In some cases, they have started the fight themselves, and claimed they were the victims when their victims retaliated.

We are all one people, and any ideology that seeks to separate us by immutable traits, or our income, our beliefs, or our faith in science is the enemy.

Putting humanity first denies the unreasonable, and the bigoted of their most lauded forms of ammunition-ignorance and weakness. They prey on the weak minded and the mentally ill to mold them into mindless solders, disassociated from reality and bereft of reason, unrelenting in their drive to stamp out invisible enemies that live in all who do not share their worldview.

They can not quantify the threat, yet are convinced of its magnitude. When presented with contrary evidence they deny its veracity. They lose all joy in life, and live only for the cause, even if it means losing themselves, and the happiness they would have otherwise achieved.

It is a sad world we live in where people can be so easily manipulated into being pawns for ideas that go against their own self-interest, divide them from their more reasonable peers, and are readily used against them should they be awakened or stray form the path.

Are you trans, but not about forcing your worldview down other people's throats? Well, you aren't trans anymore. In fact, you're actually transphobic. Perhaps you're gay, but don't want to tow a line you don't agree with. Well then you're a traitor to the LGBT community and you have internalized homophobia. The list goes on, but you get the idea.

This new generation of causites are the very worst sort. They are a part of the most significant push of Marxist/Socialist poison we have ever seen. It is in every way a cult, and if we don't actually fight back against it, we will lose. Perhaps even sooner than we think.

Again, allow me a moment to remind everyone. Please, don't not engage them with violence unless your life is in danger. Being like them gives them an incredible advantage over us in the media and the minds of the low information voters who are so addle-brained as to be convinced that groups like Anitfa are actually anti-fascist.

Black Lives Matter and Secessionists at Odds Over Autonomous Zone and it's Mission

In Seattle's autonomous zone, unrest is brewing. What kind of unrest? What always happens when progressive ideologies of different disenfranchised groups clash? They eat themselves. Secessionists inside the Autonomous zone are at odds with Black Lives Matter protesters about what this whole thing is all about. BLM protesters are upset that these secessionists have essentially co-opted their movement, and moved it away from talking about black lives.

The secessionists are asking for things like an end to the police, and free college, while the Black Lives Matter people want to talk about racial inequality and police brutality. This is something that is becoming all too common amongst the more progressive on the left. Gay and trans communities are ad odds with each other over everything from definitions of sex and gender, and who should have a letter, and who should date who. There are trans people who don't want to be under the LGBT umbrella, lesbians at odd with trans women over a perceived theft of their potential girlfriends, etc.

Now we have what appear to be far-left socialists facing off against Black Lives Matter protesters in the Seattle Autonomous zone, or CHAZ and CHOP as it is also known. It's bad enough that even within these groups there always seem to be disagreements as to what their exact cause and nature are, but now they are possibly fighting amongst themselves. If they have any hope of making their entire cadre of demands a reality, they are going to need to work out their differences, internally, and amongst each other.

Regressive Left Threat to Democracy

I want to keep this brief so you can digest it easily and think about it, because this is probably the most important fight of the foreseeable future. This doctrine of intolerance is why we can't have nice things.

 The unquenchable rage and anger over perceived grievances blinds people to the humanity of others. If you see those who disagree with you as less than human, or more precisely, less human than yourself, it is easy to dismiss their feelings, pain, and fear as inconsequential, or without merit. 

Nothing has changed, except the parameters by which debate is carried out. In this new paradigm, dissent from the holy social doctrine is grounds for immediate suspension of all reasonable debate, and branding and name-calling commence. If this does not sufficiently quell the dissenter, they move on to threats, destruction of ones social standing, and eventually to violence. 

This is the 21st century regressive left, and they are a threat to democracy and our republic.

Black Lives Matters protests about control, not justice.

The wrongful death of George Floyd in Minneapolis is a tragedy. It is a tragedy for people of color, the city of Minneapolis, and for the nation. Police brutality, and excessive use of force is a problem that is both rampant and long standing. We as human beings have a duty to at the very least be aware, and be sympathetic to the plight of all peoples who we share this country with.

You don't need to start a movement, or get a degree in activism to be awake to what's happening, you just to need acknowledge what has gone wrong, and when it comes time to add your voice to the ballot box, get out there and do it. We should want to participate in the system, and do our part to change it for the better, and for decades we were doing just that. Now it seems that we have taken a detour somewhere and we are now heading in a very dangerous direction.

Far left and far right activist agitators are trying to disrupt the direction this country has been headed in, and throw it off the tracks into a wasteland of division and hatred, fueled by vicious propaganda and psychological mind games.

Our duty as free thinkers, and as lovers of liberty, is to push back against this kind of base lunacy and bias, to deny the false narratives being created, and to be vigilant in the quest to speak truth, promote peace and unity, and to use the force of words to tear down the false narratives being rammed down our throats.

The situation in Minneapolis is truly disturbing, and unfortunately plagues with biased reporting, and conspiratorial nonsense. I don't know what to actually believe and what to dismiss as nonsense. There are reports that many out of state protesters have been arrested in recent days, but the claims that nearly 80% of the rioters are out of state professionally organized people is absurd. The burning, the destruction of police cars, and the rioting started long before out of staters could have conceivably mobilized such a concerted effort. So while it's possible they are contributing to the continued unrest, they didn't start it. Great, now I have that awful Billy Joel song in my head.

All that being said, I absolutely deplore the actions of the rioters who are looting businesses, destroying private property, and committing to actions that do not have anything to do with corrupt police, or justice for George Floyd. The very fact that minority owned businesses were targeted for destruction and looting is all the proof I personally need to believe that there are opportunistic people who don't give a care about justice, but are indoctrinated into the cult of victimhood who feel they have an absolute right to take for themselves what they wish from those who they feel are part of the problems that plague their lives.

Looting is about greed, and while it contains the element of the violent release of anger from perceived injustices, it targets things outside of the issue at hand, and are therefore not working toward justice and unity. Their actions are wrong, and should be absolutely condemned. Every week things continue to degrade, and now it seems a full on insurrection is afoot.

Live PD has been cancelled, and now these fools are trying to cancel Paw Patrol. Live PD went a long way to promote transparency in policing, and paw patrol is a good natured kids show. At this point, fuck these people. This has nothing to do with George Floyd, it has nothing to do with racism in the US, it's cancel culture gone wild.

I say the time is now to push back against this horrible encroachment on liberty. The 'autonomous zones' and armed guards are turning this 'peaceful' protest into a straight up insurrection. I think this whole thing was a planned coup by the far-left extremists because of the instability of the country due to coronavirus. They are putting the countries recovery at risk, and destroying our infrastructure.

Now that they control whole areas, if anything happens in those areas, I doubt you can blame it on mysterious white supremacists, the guards are checking everyone who goes in and out. What about the reports of extortion to boot? That's not very peaceful, that's a protection racket a la the mafia. The dangers of cancel culture, and a generation of censorship loving, 2nd amendment hating children are trying to butt fuck this country with their petty bullshit grievances that they can't even scientifically quantify. It's all smoke and mirrors and epic gaslighting.

The statistics don't match their outrage. Their actions are setting a dangerous precedent for the future of free expression, liberty, and 2nd amendment rights in this country. You know that they will continue to 'cancel' anything they disagree with, they've gone after the police, and now they're cancelling tv shows, and actors from tv shows who don't live up to their standards. Hartley Sawyer from The Flash tv was fired after tweets from 2012 came to light. (Someone really had to dig for that, and that's just sad.) They will come after the language next, and they will come for your guns, and they will not stop until they have created their diabolical utopia of intersectional diversity.

The only hope I have is that conservatives have a huge head start on stockpiling guns. We may need them to stop this delusional mob of liberal arts loony toons.

Top Cryptocurrency Projects Part 4.1: Privacy Coins

In this installment we're going to take a look at privacy coins. There are a large number of 'privacy coins' on the market right now, most seem to be using the cryptonight algorithm, but we're seeing a new breed of privacy coins that are looking to change the game. The trade mags and blogs are still talking about the big guns, Monero, Dash, ZCash, Verge, and of course some favorites like PIVX, and Horizen

a lot of coins from all over the crypto-sphere are toting one kind of privacy feature or another-
RingCT, Stealth Addresses, Private Send(Dark Send), Zero Knowledge Proofs, Tor, etc. What are these new generations of coins bringing to the table? Because there are quite a few, and I've been getting more suggestions along the way, this is going to a multi-part installment, starting with 4.1, and moving up in point installments (4.2, 4.3, etc.)

So far the list includes: Beam, Grim, Pirate, Veil, Komodo, TELE, Apollo. Of course, if anyone in the community has any suggestions, feel free to add them.

BEAM

Beam(and Grin) were both very hyped at the beginning of 2019 and saw exponential increases in mining in a very short period of time. Both coins seem to want to solve the same problem but with different roads to get there. Beam was founded in March of 2018 by a team of Israeli crypto-geeks who didn't waste time with 'community' development, nor the pace it usually moves at, they sought out venture capitalists, and hired a dedicated team and got to it. This approach is the inverse of the Grin approach. But first, let's talk about tech....

The algorithm behind both Beam and Grin is Mimblewimble. If the name sounds like something out of a Harry Potter movie, that's because it is. In the books and movies, Mimblewimble is the name of a spell that stops you from speaking on certain topics, which works well if you happen to be a privacy focused cryptocurrency. Clever.... First envisioned in 2016 by a mysterious cryptographer whose is also loosely based on a Harry Potter character. Tom Elvis Jesudor, one of the many silly names for Voldemort.

Mimblewimble's aim is to solve the issues of privacy and scalability, a big complaint among the crypto community with coins like Bitcoin. Mimblewimble removes pesky things like multiple inputs and outputs, instead relying on a single multisignature to send and receive coins. Only the two people involved in the transaction are aware of the exchange, and there are no addresses to use to track transactions. Beam uses addresses for send/receive, whereas, currently, Grin only allows transfers through an ip address and port on your computer.

Beam has a slick looking logo, and nice GUI wallet, things Grin is sorely lacking. They appear to be looking to differentiate themselves from Grin with a fast development cycle and polished site and wallets. With institutional money, and paid developers they may very well succeed in being the top of the pack of any new batch of Mimblewimble based coins.

GRIN

Grin was the first to start an implementation of Mimblewimble back in 2016, but they were beaten to the punch out of the starting gate by Beam. It doesn't appear to have deterred them though. Grin is still working hard at improving their blockchain, but as a small, volunteer only team, progress is not as fast as with Beam.

Grin does, however, have a large community fan base, and plans to keep the community aesthetic, with the direction of the coin left to the community, and the devs. If you are tech savvy, and don't mind dealing with cli wallets, opening ports on your router, etc, then Grin is a good choice for people looking for community based, decentralized currencies. Beam has a lot of institutional investors, and money for a full-time dev team, so there's been talk that they may already be a centralized coin.

As with any coin, do your research before diving into the rather new, and slightly rough, uncharted waters.

VEIL

Veil is an always-on privacy coin that is POW/POS, and utilizes RingCT, Zerocoin's Zero-knowledge proofs, and like PIVX, has a basecoin, that can then be 'minted' into zerocoin, with the leftovers going to the mintable CT balance. Veil also utilizes bulletproofs, and has support for the dandelion protocol.

Veil is mineable( for about the next year) and is using X16RT, an improved version of the ASIC resistant Ravencoin algo X16R. So far mining has been smooth, and transactions seem to come through quickly. Hashrate is growing on this coin fast, as is the price. The value was around 21 cents, took a dip earlier this month, and made a quick recover back up to the 21 cent mark, with spikes to just shy of 24 cents.

I have never mined an X16R coin before, but I like the way this project is setup, so I got right into it, I took 4 cards( 2 8gb RX480, and 2 8GB RX 470) and with mostly stock settings, and setting the power limit at -25, I was able to mine around 6 Veil a day. Now, because this coin cycles through so many algorithms, the power usage and amount mined varies wildly. Power ranges from around 500 watts to around 730 watts. It does seems to stay more on the low side(at least the times I checked) so between 550-600, which is great if your trying to save money on your electric bill. I only pay around 0.08 per kw/h, but it still adds up.

Veil has a functional, and clean GUI wallet, that should allow you to do everything you need with your Veil.

Veil is also Proof of Stake, with staking being exclusive to Zercoin only.

Of the three coins I've reviewed so far, I think overall, Veil has been the smoothest experience. (With both grin and beam there were issues with the wallets(syncing issues, and router port settings issues)
So in addition to the other coins I mine, I'm adding Veil to that list. I also have traded in some coin to buy more Veil now before the inevitable rise in price I forsee coming in the near future.

Top Cryptocurrency Projects Part 3:ETC PIVX MINEX

In part 1 and part 2 of this series I examined Tron, Horizen, Pirl, Ethergem, Callisto, and Dash. In part 3 I'm going to look at a few more projects that I really like. Minexcoin, Pivx, and of course, Ethereum Classic. Let's start by examining ETC.

ETHEREUM CLASSIC

ETC came into existence on July 20th, 2016 after Ethereum performed a hard fork to recover lost ETH that were stolen from members of the DAO. The DAO was an Ethereum venture capital fund, that was going to invest in projects using smart contracts. Shortly after they were formed, a paper was released showing that serious vulnerabilities existed in the Ethereum blockchain that could result in the theft of ETH.

In June, 3.6 million ETH was stolen from the DAO. After much discussion, it was decided to perform a hard fork that would take the ETH that was stolen, and move it to a new smart contract, and allow for the recovery of those funds.

Members of the Ethereum community unhappy with this decision, which they felt was going against a core tenant of blockchain technology, that the blockchain was immutable, and could not, or should not be changed. They decided to stick with the original Ethereum blockchain. Since that decision, they have made incredible strides to becoming one of the most useful cryptos in the market today.

One of the things that gives ETC an edge is their extensive partnerships. Whether it was their partnership with Zeniex to bring secure integration of ETC in to some of the largest Southeast Asian Exchanges, it's full compatibility with IoT (Internet of Things), and it's partnership with UTRUST.

ETC has gained considerable ground due to the involvement of some high profile investors like HCM Foxconn-DCG, and DFG. These heavyweights give ETC Labs the ability to throw it's dev power at things like Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and of course Internet of Things.

ETC Labs Core is now the defacto core development team, after the dissolution of ETC Dev in December of 2018, along with the ETC Cooperative, and tech company IOHK(which works on both ETC and Cardano cryptographic tech.) Ethereum classic is in poised to become an absolute powerhouse in the blockchain world.

ETC was one of the few coins to cause a stir when Coinbase announced it was looking into listing ETC on it's exchange, but the testing and acceptance of ETC took a lot less time than people expected, and after a flurry of trades giving ETC a boost, it dropped by 30% shortly after being released on the platform. Also after suffering a 51% attack, and most recently a double-spend attack, ETC is recovering slowly as skiddish investors moved away for a time.

All in all, Ethereum Classic is probably one of the strongest investments you can make right now. This is not a short term, get rich quick thing, this is a long term investment that will probably have a colossal payoff in the long term as it solidifies it's infrastructure, and brings it's higher end development projects to the market. I can't recommend this bad boy highly enough.

MINEXCOIN

Minexcoin is a blockchain project with a couple of really solid goals in mind. Firstly, they want to be a cryptocurrency payment platform using debit cards that will work like any other debit card at the store or online, and secondly, they want to be an investment platform similar to cold staking, but with a twist.

MinexPay is the name of their crypto-debit card project. The debit cards link to your Minex web wallet and allow you to send supported cryptocurrencies to the web wallet and convert them to fiat right in the web wallet. You now have a fully funded debit card. The cards have already shipped and are available world-wide.

Minexbank is their online sort of savings bank. You link your public account key to MinexBank, and it shows you how much Minex you can 'Park' for a given period of time. By 'Parking' your Minexcoin, it gains interest, similar to a savings account, or similar investment plans.

What makes this idea even better is the fact that you are rewarded even higher returns if you 'Park' your coins for a longer period of time. 0.073% to park daily, up to 45% for parking your coins for 1 year. You can also park your coins weekly, monthly, quarterly, and 6 months.

If Minexcoin continues to expand these ideas out, they could become a great contender to replace your traditional bank. Minexcoin is used to replenish the wallet through the non-refundable balance and card activation. You can also invest your minexcoin, in the MinexBank, which helps to secure and grow your investment simultaneously.

I love the concept, they appear to be implementing the ideas well, and as long as they continue down this path, they are looking like another solid, long term investment.

PIVX

Pivx is a project with a big goal in mind. Pivx wants to be fast, private, and secure, and they are doing so through zero knowledge proofs, zerocoin based zPos, and a massive network of Masternodes to help secure the network, and keep it moving quickly. transactions are approved in 60 seconds or less, cost less than a penny in fees, and are incredibly secure, and totally anonymous.

Since I find it hard to explain it better, I'm going to use PIVX's own words to give you a good understanding of just how cool this coin is. Here's the basic premise, right from the source...

Pivx is a really solid project, has a very active and vocal development team, and a pretty fervent fan base. What makes them a cut above is that they also have a model that is sustainable. They've created 3 ways to earn PIVX, giving investors a way to both earn and secure the network.

With their zPos protocol, the network is secured and transactions verified, you can stake both Piv and zpiv(Some zpiv is autominted in your wallet when it has a balance and is open and unlocked for minting.), with zpiv also being used for fees, and also to send PIVX using the zerocoin protocol. You can send zPiv as Piv to any internal or external address and your transaction, and personal information will remain anonymous.

MASTERNODES. The other way you can earn more Pivx is to setup and run a masternode. Masternodes help secure the network and transport, or move transactions across the PIVX blockchain. Masernode collateral is 10,000 PIVX. The average payout from a single master node is around 75 Pivx a month.(Approximately $62 a month in earnings.)

I love Pivx, and I think they will be around for the long haul. This seems like a solid investment with great long-term viability and potential for growth.

So, regardless of anyone's opinion on the president, this shows a clear political bias, not because of dress codes, but because of the reasons given.

How someone celebrates on 'USA day' (as the school calls it) should be about personal choice, and no, I'm not advocating your child wearing a swastika t-shirt to school, but since Trump isn't Hitler (despite some peoples comparisons), this was done solely for political reasons.

I wonder how maybe kids had Bernie or Hillary shirts, maybe an Obama T? Haven't heard anything about that. Most of the people who support Trump aren't racists, or homophobes, or anything else, they're Middle Americans with a healthy disdain for status quo politics.

So go ahead, and criticize the orange badger for his shitty late-night tweets, but seriously, get off the MAGA hate train, it's just one more bullshit topic dems are using to try and secure a 2020 victory, except...everything they've tried has failed, but they won't quit. People are getting tired of it.

Even the media is on the one hand, publishing stories about how Bernie Sanders raised an enormous amount of money in his first 24 hours of announcing his campaign, and on the other hand, publishing articles about how he can't win. Ever.

If you truly want to see a change in 2020, you need a clear path. A path that hinges on facts and a compelling, truthful argument. Screaming about Russia, MAGA hats, and pussy grabbing is not going to win you anything.

Despite his ridiculous tweets, and strange moves in the trade sector, the economy isn't tanking, things are still improving, and we've wasted who knows how much tax payer dollars on a snipe-hunt. Top Crypotcurrency Projects 2 Dash Callisto Ethergem

In Part 1 I looked at Tron, Pirl, and Horizen. In part 2 I'll be looking at Dash, Callisto, and Ethergem.

I'm going to start off with Ethergem, which I will refer to for the rest of the article as egem.

Ethergem came into being in March of 2018, and in less than a year they have achieved a great deal.

EGEM

Egem is a community coin with a small, but dedicated team that has been looking for ways to innovate and improve upon the ethereum blockchain. One of their first goals was to create a sidechain for implement new technologies and token mining.
From their ANN:

An "applied technologies peernet" is where the EtherGem blockchain grows on a mineable token sidechain. Dual mining ethergem and a token on claymore is something new. The EGEM sidechain is designed to be very much an integral part of ongoing mainchain development where peers can implement new technology while continuing to rely on a solid foundation. The sidechain and token will be available shortly after the mainnet release.

Out of that initial idea came 'Sapphire' which is an integrated substructure which has a decentralized exchange and can be used to enhance the main ethergem chain. Sapphire was airdropped to existing egem holders late last year, and should be released soon.

Sapphire is it's own mineable coin, and can be mined by itself, but even better, it can actually be daul-mined with egem! It is slated to use the blake2s algorithm and have a custom miner. That's a truly unique concept, and should help make egem a top-tier altcoin in the near future.

They are also currently testing dex functions, and from what I've read, it's going to have some unique abilities that could be game changing. We'll have to wait and see.

Egem also has Quarrynodes. Quarrynodes are similar to masternodes. They come in two tiers of Quarrynodes. Tier one requires 10,000 egem, and a Tier 2 QNode requires 30,000. A discord bot controls payouts. You can also get updates on the status of your Quarrynodes, balances, etc-by querying the egem bot.

There is already at least one dapp-like project in the works, called 'egem monsters', an ERC721 collectible token monsters video game that come in an incredibly large number of possible iterations. These monsters can also wear different 'gems' on their chest. Each non-fungible ERC721 token is it's own contract, so each gem and monster are completely unique. You can own several of these tokens, and they are able to be exchanged, auctioned , or traded.

Egem monsters can also be paired with each other to reproduce, and create new, unique monsters. The gems that can be put into their chests give them certain powers and allow them to fight other gemmed monsters. There is possibly going to be a premium service available to 'customize on demand' your monsters. Currently the game is set to be released toward the end of Q1 2019, with gem implementation slated for Q4 of 2019.

The team behind egem are really dedicated, and transparent. Their gitlab is constantly being updated, they are very active on discord and are keeping everyone abreast of every step they make to improve egem, and working hard on expanding the platform greatly. They have a very happening discord channel, their channel bot can give you detailed information about the status of your Quarrynodes, your egem wallet balance, and rewards wallet balance.

You can play games to get more egems from the bot, and recently an independent, separate discord channel came into being that has gambling games that payout in egem. You send your egem to the contract address, then give the channel bot your txid, and it adds that to your wallet balance so you can play.

Their Opal desktop wallet is in development, with an alpha having been released last year, and new beta set to be released soon that should have sapphire integration and possibly dex functionality.

With active development, unique innovations, a dedicated team, and a fervent fan base, it's impossible not to put this coin as one of my top investments. I absolutely recommend you check out egem.

Callisto

Callisto is another ethereum blockchain based project with a rather broad and ambitious goal.

According to their homepage Callisto is:

The main goal of Callisto is to research and develop a reference implementation of a self-sustaining, self-governed and self-funded blockchain ecosystem and development environment.

From that sentence we can infer that mean to create a template for a fully self-regulated development environment.
One of the key features of this idea is how the reference design works. The goal is to create a standardized protocol for implementing built-in cold-staking, a governance system, and development funding mechanism based on smart-contracts.

Part of this system is their official smart contract auditing department. This department is tasked with performing security audits of smart contracts for both the CLO and ETC networks, and mitigate the costs of smart contract audits, paying the auditors in CLO.

The audits themselves, for smart contract developers are free, and if they pass security checks, will get an officially audited status, those that fail will not. This feature could be a life saver for smart contract developers who don't want to get crushed by a critical error like flawed or buggy contracts.

Another feature of Callisto that I think is a very strong selling point is 'Cold Staking'. Cold staking allows you to send an amount of CLO to a smart contract address, where it will earn a percentage of the total amount of staked coins based on the amount you put in. This stake reward can be retrieved after 30 days, or you can continue to stake.

Cold staking is unique as it allows you to stake your coins without the need to have a dedicated wallet open at all times. Given the amount of crypto people invest in and hold, having a number of staking wallets open on a machine could render it unusable, necessitating a dedicated machine for such tasks. Eliminating this saves electricity and is an environmentally friendly way to earn crypto.

From their paper, it appears that part of the function of cold staking will also be to govern the Callisto File System. The file system will a decentralized storage system for hosting smart contract reports and custom files from users utilizing IPFS Host-Nodes.

The number of host nodes and amount of storage will be directly related to the amount of coins held in cold stake. Elected host nodes are paid a monthly salary for their service, and if they fail to provide quality service, a new IPFS Host-Node can be chosen to replace it.

The salary of the host node is determined by a number of factors. Quality, amount of storage, and the statistics of processed requests. How all of this operates is through the Bancor algorithm. Below is the basic idea from the Callisto whitepaper here.

The amount of storage available per CLO is determined using the Bancor algorithm that maintains a Constant Reserve Ratio (CRR) of 10. A CRR means that the storage will never be completely consumed, as the price (locked CLO per megabyte) will rise as free capacity shrinks.Price = Balance / (Supply * CRR)

Callisto is setting itself up as provider of smart contract auditing and secure, decentralized file storage. Because of their size and active mining community (Callisto is currently the third highest ETHASH coin in terms of nethash and difficulty, just behind ETH and ETC) they should have very little trouble maintaining this infrastructure. Given these factors, I think this coin is a pretty safe bet for long term investors. Plus, with the added benefit of Cold Staking, you can earn while you HODL.

Dash

When you think of masternodes, what's he first thing that comes to mind? It's probably 'exit scam' but, the answer should be Dash. When it began it's life in 2014 as Xcoin, it was pretty novel. Now the idea is everywhere, and I guess we have Evan Duffield to thank for that.

What makes Dash special now? Instead of waiting for people to find the coin, they've taken the coin to the people-so to speak.
When the crisis in Venezuela reached epic proportions, the people turned to cryptocurrency. Dash was seeing usage in other Latin American countries like Brazil.

The adoption rate of cryptocurrencies in Latin America and Africa is skyrocketing. Crypto gives people a store of value to hold on to that can make a big difference in places like Venezuela, where inflation is unbearable, and banks are unable to keep up, crypto is becoming a more preferred method of payment.

Dash has a dedicated team for Latin America, and they are growing the brand there every day.
In January of 2018, Dash announced their partnership with bitINKA, Latin Americas largest exchange. bitINKA also works with 35 banks across 12 countries. This broadened Dashes reach immensely.

In August of 2018, they announced a partnership with KriptoMobile, to provide Latin Americans with a phone with the complete Dash ecosystem preloaded on it. Dash is being accepted in many places, with more partnerships appearing daily.

There are over 2,500 merchants accepting Dash in just Venezuela, and nearly as much in New Hampshire. I don't have an exact figure, but Dash appears to be poised for a retail revolution.

Dash has an incredibly large network, 200+ Terahash of mining and over 5,000 Masternodes, Dash is massive, and with no signs of slowing down, could eventually surpass all other major blockchain projects. Bitcoin will probably always have more hash, but I think Dash might surpass bitcoin in terms of mass adoption and retail acceptance.

Top Cryptocurrency Projects 1 Tron Horizen Pirl

After having a conversation with @igort, I decided to post a blog entry about some of my favorite projects and why I think they're worthwhile, long term, investments/hodl's. I'll try and give you the best information I can, without being long-winded, or pedantic. Some of the reasons I love these projects are complicated, or even purely a gut feeling, but either way, these are projects that show a lot of promise, or have already proven themselves to be more than talk, and some are top 20 projects that I think have the goods to shape the future of crypto and the internet. So without further ado, here is Part 1 of my list.

TRON

Justin Sun, founder of Tron is a very strange dude. Confident, bold, aggressive, and possibly a bit insane. He has made big claims about the power of Tron, and it's future, and it looks like he might come through on those claims. His promise to 'Decentralize the Web' seems to be something he intends to follow through on.

He partially proved this when he suddenly decided to buy Bittorrent Inc. One of the biggest p2p(decentralized) protocols in existence. He got flak from Vitalik Buterin, and Simon Morris, the former CSO of Bittorrent Inc. Morris claimed that there was no way that sun would be able to manage the bittorrent token.

cointelegraph published this Tron critical statement from Morris in Early January 2019:

...Nevertheless, Morris reportedly stated that there’s “no way” the Tron blockchain could handle the transaction volume that such a system would require. According to him, his team needed hundreds of transactions per second just to get started. He added:

“You hear all the bulls**t out there, oh, this does 10,000 transactions a second. It’s all crap. We were going to melt TRON. Literally destroy it.”

Well, it's February now and Tron has officially unleashed it's first airdrop of the BTT token, with the promise drop more tokens monthly until February of 2025. A full 10% of the 990 billion tokens on the Bittorrent network will be airdropped over the next 6 years.

So what makes Tron so special? Justin Sun claims that the network is fast, scalable, and a reliable network. Using a fully fleshed-out DPoS(Delegated Proof of Stake) consensus algorithm that allows users to stake their TRX tokens for network 'bandwidth', 'energy' and to vote for Tron 'Super Representatives'.

These super reps are independent groups or persons who are chosen to represent those trx holders who 'vote' for them by staking coins with them. You are rewarded with more TRX, I am assuming through your Super Representatives' 'pool' of staked Tron. Either that or it comes from the total amount of staked TRX tokens throughout the network.

The top 27 SR's become the blockchain validators for the Tron Network. TRX holders can vote every 6 hours for their choice of SR. The network produces 1 block every three seconds.
The backbone of the network are the nodes. There are three types of distinct nodes on the Tron Network.

1.Witness nodes
Witness nodes are set up by SRs and are mainly responsible for block production and proposal creation/voting.
2.Full nodes
Full nodes provide APIs and broadcast transactions and blocks.
3.Solidity nodes
Solidity nodes sync blocks from other Full Nodes and also provide indexable APIs.

Tron also features TVM (Tron Virtual Machine)

TRON Virtual Machine (TVM) is a lightweight, Turing complete virtual machine developed for the TRON's ecosystem. Its goal is to provide a custom-built blockchain system that is efficient, convenient, stable, secure and scalable. TVM initially forked from EVM and can connect seamlessly with the existing solidity smart contract 11 development ecosystem.

Based on that, TVM additionally supports DPoS consensus. TVM employs the concept of Energy. Different from the Gas mechanism on EVM, operations of transactions and smart contracts on TVM are free, with no TRX consumed. Technically, executable computation capacity on TVM is not restricted by total holding amount of tokens.

Tron Decentralized Exchange

The TRON network natively supports decentralized exchange functions. A decentralized exchange consists of multiple trading pairs. A trading pair (notation “Exchange”) is an Exchange Market between TRC-10 tokens, or between a TRC-10 token and TRX. Any account can create a trading pair between any tokens, even if the same pair already exists on the TRON network.

Tron currently uses TRC-10 and TRC-20 tokens, but is a full port of Ethereum's Solidity, so many types of tokens can be ported to Tron with relative ease.

Overall, Tron is robust, and very manageable network that features avery unique, well implemented DPoS protocol, VM tools, a DEX, and the full power of the Bittorrent network for the creation and sharing of a multitude of media formats.

Tron is available on numerous exchanges for around $0.02 a piece.

I consider Tron to be a rock-solid investment with immense amounts of potential for growth and expansion, that positions it solidly at the top of the pack of blockchain projects that will weather volatile markets, regulations, and the time needed for mass adoption of blockchain technologies to catapult it to the highest peak of its potential.

HORIZEN

Horizen (formerly Zencash) is another project I really like. My reasons for supporting Horizen are slightly different than for Tron. Horizen is a privacy focused coin that has an amazing suite of tools and a wallet platform that is shaping up to be a really classy, full-featured platform for all things Horizen.

But beyond that it's very easy for me to picture Horizen, and their memorable logo on the doors of businesses, on the sides of ATM's, and at registers everywhere. It looks like that is where it was meant to be, and one of the hallmarks of a good business strategy is to position yourself as a name that is memorable in wording as well as in logo. Think Apple, with their iconic apple logo, or Dell with their tilted E.

Horizen takes privacy very seriously. To this end they are building an entire ecosystem of Zen products to meet that goal. They want to create the largest node network (Zennodes), domain fronting to allow you to connect to a forbidden host, while appearing to connect another to circumvent censorship (ZenHide), a secure chat platform (Zenchat), Anonymous, immutable publishing platform (Zenpub), (Zengrid) appears to be a platform for renting computational power, the ZenDAO-pretty self explanatory, and a zero-delay payment protocol (instaZen).

I want to focus on a couple of things that really stand out for me. One of these is Zenchat. Secure messaging is nothing new, but in a privacy-based ecosystem, the groups that are taking what's becoming a pretty standard formula--blockchain, dapps, dex, and adding to that a forum for private transactions to occur (like peer to peer exchange and secure messaging) are going to be big winners in the long term. Other projects are using secure messaging as well, but so far, I think Horizen is the most noteworthy of these contenders.

The other thing that tops my list of cool features is ZenHide, a rather unique way of circumventing site censorship by making the offending provider think you are connecting to an allowed domain, and instead logging on to a banned domain. This will be a great tool for people who live in more restrictive countries like Iran, China, Vietnam, and North Korea.

Zenpub is another fabulous idea. Many people who are familiar with the many ethereum blockchain based projects might have heard of Mix. Mix is a blockchain that seeks to be an immutable publishing platform. Immutable publishing is going to be a large part of the future of the internet as the regular social media landscape becomes more restrictive and corrupt.

Facebook, Twitter, youtube, and other big players in the social media sphere are actively restricting content, banning users, and using deceptive practices to limit how content is displayed and propagated.

Zenpub will be a good alternative to these media dictatorships, along with places like Mix, BitTorrent, gab.ai, steem, and my current favorites, Minds.com and Publish0x.com.

I am curious to see how they will implement their computational power renting system, Zengrid. I am assuming there will be a heavy privacy-based component to this platform.

Zen has also recently released their Sphere wallet, which features integrated full node and light implementations, and integrated news and twitter feeds so you can keep up to date with everything that's going on in the Zen-Sphere.

Horizen is currently ranked #108 on coinmarketcap.com and is trading at $4.51.

PIRL

Pirl is an community driven, ethereum blockchain based coin that pioneered a global, multi-tiered , Ethash based masternode system. Pirl is also mineable. Pirl has been growing steadily for some time, and seems poised to expand more with the release of their PirlGuard product.

Pirl Masternodes come in three flavors

Storage Masternode
The Storage Masternode network is rewarded with 0.5 PIRL per block as well as bonus reward according to storage space, and bandwidth used. Storage Masternodes provide digital downloads for the marketplace, and is used as a backup file server. Pirl Storage Masternodes are currently in development.

Content Masternode
The Content Masternode network is rewarded with 0.5 PIRL per block as well as bonus reward according to bandwidth used. Content Masternodes provide file storage for the publicly accessible media and data needed for dApps and the marketplace. Pirl Content Masternode is already in beta.

Premium Masternode
Run the main node, content node, and storage node binaries. The premium masternode network is rewarded with 2 PIRL per block and bonus rewards for bandwidth and storage used. Pirl Premium Masternode is already active.

Pirl is not just a masternode system, Pirl is also working on an integrated all-in-one platform, called Poseidon, that will include decentralized file storage, communications (private messaging and...?), entertainment (Dapps?), and escrow protected trading.

What sets Pirl apart from the rest? PirlGuard. It is an easily integratable security solution for blockchains to prevent 51% attacks. There is an excellent article on Medium that highlights all of Pirlguards features and explains exactly how it works.

Pirlguard is now being implemented in many blockchain projects, including EGEM, another coin that I will be talking about with some cool and unique features. Pirl seems to have a robust, dedicated team with a clear vision, and ready-to-go products that are already finding a use-case in blockchain security.

Crypto Market Rebounds. Investors Hold Steady. Consumer Interest Wanes.

So it appears as if we are experiencing a mild thaw in the cryptocurrency markets, which in this case means the bears goes into hibernation, the exact opposite of real life, which may be part of the problem with crypto in the first place. Just like the open-source Linux community in the early 2000's, promising a Windows like desktop experience, what most people found then was a steep learning-curve, dependency hell, and a less than expected user-friendly experience. With the introduction of more robust distros like Ubuntu, things are much better than they were.

Which brings me to crypto. The market appears to be taking off again, but consumer interest is waning, why is that? Well it might have something to do with the high uncertainty of the technology, the massive amount of fraudulent ICO's and Masternode scams, confusion about regulations and taxes, and also, a really unfriendly user experience. If I can think of one thing that bothers me more than the volatile markets, and SEC foot-dragging, it's more hassle to make what should work, just work.

Confusing wallet GUI's, or console based wallets that the average user has no idea how to use, wallets not synching, the process of sending and receiving, and how to pay the gas can be frustrating, coupled with poorly-written, or written in geek-speak tutorials, and many people who may have dipped their feet in the crypto-ocean have run away like a shark-attack just happened. But, that's ok for now. The technology is still evolving and some of the uses for blockchain that exist now are revolutionary, and I see more innovation happening every day; but how do we bridge the gap between what crypto-enthusiasts, blockchain pioneers, and miners want, and what end-users need or will actually use.

Some projects can't define whether they're building for consumer social networking, or corporate back-end management, some projects have great ideas, and no way to implement them, and even more still seem like lost-souls adrift on a sea of no-fucks given. To me, there are three memes in blockchain...dogecoin, exit scams, and 'why the hell do we need another privacy coin that doesn't do anything?' No focus, no clearly defined end game, and waning interest from miners and enthusiast investors, who are tired of putting in the work for a project that; even if it does manage to get on an exchange, has little chance to creating decent liquidity, or commanding anything more than a 1 sat price.

The one good thing in all this mess is that investors still see the potential, and the lack of interest, and tightening regulations are slowly putting an end to the exit scammers, the shitcoin projects, and just clearing away the debris from the storm of garbage that has flooded the markets in recent years. While I detest the grip of government in the internet and crypto spheres, in this instance, the SEC actually helped correct the outrageous imbalance that was plaguing the industry.

While I am thrilled that the markets are showing signs of life again, I'm still pensive about diving in any deeper in the current conditions. I am focusing now on finding staking pools and coins that have a purpose, and an active development base, investing in a select few coins that show promise, and mining coins that have a great balance between profit and power consumption.

For instance, I can mine Grin quite well and save 50-100 watts of power over ETH in the process. As much as I love mining, I can't sustain the electric bills when they're coupled with the extremely cold weather and rising gas prices over the winter. Gas becomes burdensome expensive, and electric heaters are twice as power-hungry as my rig, which is the one upside...my rig heats the upstairs quite nicely. (The second floor of our incredibly old house has no direct heating, it's all about rising heat from the many gas radiators on the first floor, which is ok, but still quite inefficient.)

The Crypto Winter. Where Do We Go From Here?

2018 started off with a high rush and then quickly faded to a deep, dark, pit of despair as Bitcoin rose to meteoric heights only to fall from the sky like Icarus. Since then, the year was a rocky sea of ups and downs; a market that seemed desperate and lost, investors running for the hills, failed attempts to put bitcoin in the mainstream through the stock exchange, and the SEC seemingly incapable of making up it's mind on ICO's-and the IRS seeming equally incompetent at defining what constitutes taxable income, capital gains, or even which form to use.

After a slow recovery, another storm tanks the market, but it recovers adequately, only to be thrown against the rocks again this week. With more fear-mongering and nay-saying from JP Morgan's head of cross-management unit, John Normand. Normand said "Bitcoin has fared poorly as a store of value asset in the past decade....gold was a better hedge than Bitcoin since July 2010" JP Morgan is only one of half a dozen large financial institutions trying to put more nails into bitcoin's (and crypto in general) coffin. While I'm fairly confident that crypto isn't going to disappear, or be relegated to a niche market as some speculators have opined, I do think a lot of big changes are coming, and are needed in order to ensure crypto's survival in the future.

So, where do we go from here? I'm not just an investor, I'm a miner, so regardless, I'm going to go with my gut and try to mine coins I think have a future. I will also happily take assets I think are going to tank and throw up on an exchange and trade them for some Tron or Ethereum Classic, or grab a few more of my favorite up-and-coming cryptos like HORIZEN or EGEM.

Many people are taking to investing in stake coins and throwing them up on large stake pools hoping to grow an enormous HODL nest egg for once the frost thaws and spring arrives. Of course, Masternodes are another big goto for people with the hash or the money to get the necessary deposit and secure a VPS. Like the giant pink chicken of death that they are, ICO's have become a liability, and a big NO for anyone who isn't willing to lose a bundle on the large majority that fail or bail. But, Staking and Masternodes are also huge risks. Many staking coins are disappearing, some are being revived by community members who want their millions of coins to mean something, but many are just fading away into obscurity and death. Masternode scams are also a huge problem, and their future is just as bleak.

As a Libertarian, I would prefer to see cryptocurrencies mature and be successful completely devoid of government intervention, but in reality, it seems more likely that in order for crypto to gain 'mass adoption', some government regulation is going to have to occur to calm the fears of investors and potential adopters alike. Another big factor that is a detriment to mass adoption is the complicated nature of blockchain. Syncing wallets, making sure you input the proper address and payment ID, navigating exchanges, etc. I've been doing this for a while now, and I still get nervous every time I send coins anywhere-fearing that they will disappear into the ether, never to be seen again.

There are some companies out there that are bridging the gap between crypto and fiat, by creating debit payment cards that allow you to pay for items in a store and in the currency you need, using their native coin (or their coin and the gold standard coins like btc, eth, and ltc. Some groups are working on integrating their blockchain and currency into ATM machines, so as to allow you to purchase or exchange their coin with other pairs and of course fiat.

Honestly, the best strategy is one that involves that least risk, for the biggest payoff, so If you can mine, and your electricity is cheap, that's a great place to be. If you want more passive income, try buying or fauceting some POS coins and just let them sit. The same is true for Masternode coins. They provide a passive income, but require a larger buy-in, and require you to setup and pay for a VPS to earn your rewards.

Right from the start, this is just wrong. There was an initial assumption by law enforcement that the shooter appears to have been acting alone, and no terrorist ties suspected. They are investigating, and that may change. If the media, or anyone else decides to run with that assumption, then the effects of that are on their ignorance or willingness to question.

I know I personally am keeping an open mind because nothing is known, so we wait, and gather, and compile information until an informed conclusion can be reached. The shooters skin color only matters if you are too ignorant to not think beyond such meaningless attributes. Is there a place where such an attribute is relevant in a law enforcement sense? Absolutely. Here it is currently inapplicable.

So the author 'assumes' that the whole of society agrees with law enforcements 'lone wolf' theory, and that it is because of an 'assumed' phenomenon referred to as 'white privilege'. This is not even theoretical in my book, because there is no science behind it outside of some trite social-scientific blather. If someone has evidence presented by, perhaps an evolutionary biologist, a credible and respected psychologist, or anyone with an above 130 iq who does not work for a university or a political think tank.

The author then continues to babble about how the presidents words are somehow wrong, and again it's because of the authors magic bullet of-'white privilege'. And more poorly thought out nonsense ensues.

This person is pathetic, and their poorly timed bullshit article is an affront to the victims and their families. There is nothing more to say on this because it's been made clear by those who would take such things at face value, and as fact without proof would not hear or comprehend any thought that does not meet their ultra-specific definition of truth.

Am I really living in this world? What the fuck is happening right now? We live in a time where very angry people with convoluted agendas, who ignore facts and live based solely on emotion and not on reason have the loudest voices and scream about equality and togetherness whilst belittling and attacking anyone who disagrees with their dictatorial edicts. Wait. I thought we were trying to get rid of prejudice and bigotry. I thought we wanted to abolish stereotypes and divisive behavior. I try to live these things every day, but if I happen to be a white male heterosexual Christian conservative then clearly I'm an asshole and I need to die. Sounds legit.....

I know what you're thinking. I'm falling into the same trap. I'm painting activists and social justice warriors with a broad brush and not all of them are that way. True. But this kind of illogical thought has become popular enough, and enough of a threat to the sanity and stability of our society that I feel the need to speak on the subject from my point of view, which is this...

So who shall we skewer first? SJW's of course. For those of you who don't know SJW stands for social justice warrior. Now from that title you would expect a fiercely peaceful, and socially conscious individual bent on creating a truly free and equal society. Of course you would be wrong.
The average SJW is more interested in furthering there agenda at any cost than actually creating equality, or checking facts. They live in a fantasy world where the best way to combat hatred and bigotry is by being hateful and bigoted against the people they feel are wrong or who disagree with them.

I honestly don't know when the movement began, but there have always been activists in every social circle I've been in for most of my life. Anti-war protesters, women's lib, gay rights, etc. The names have changed since the 70's-80's, but what's worse is, so have the goals and ideologies behind these movements. These groups now spend a lot of time dealing in absolutes, they despise open, civil debate or discussion, they actively silence their opponents, and are convinced that all their problems can be solved by legislation and bullying. Collectively, this new breed of activists is known as SJW's or social justice warriors, and I will deal with the broad umbrella term first, then move into focused discussions on the groups under that umbrella. (Feminists, race warriors, LBGT crusaders, etc.)

SJW culture is pretty pervasive right now, and it's becoming very easy to spot. The most notable instance of out of control activism in recent years has been #Gamergate. I'm not even going to go into detail about that, because it's long, and silly and filled with feminists who probably had wet, sloppy orgasms while watching the new Ghostbusters movie. They love to hate. Everything you hold dear is horribly wrong. Your skin color is wrong. Your income is wrong. Your words are wrong. Your thoughts are wrong. You are just wrong. But remember. Do not disagree. Ever. You can not come back from disagreement land. They will crucify you. You can go from normal, rational human being to #privilegedwhitehomotransislamophobicnazi in like 10 seconds. That's right. You can go from zero to Hitler in the blink of an eye.

This is the mind set of the #SJW. They have no reason or logic. They don't have facts. White liberal college students think they are fostering a revolution by trying to censor free speech and shut down divergent thoughts or ideas. Black college students in some places want segregated housing. Da Fuq? Somewhere..OK probably everywhere there is a 15 year old girl with a short mane of hair, dyed an ungodly color, with 00 guages in her ears, wearing a hoodie, jeans, and lipstick and under the delusion that she is in fact a non-binary, pansexual, unicorn-kin, who demands that you address her using pronouns that are in fact nonsensical gibberish made up to express in little word bites the perfect genderless Utopia in their head. I do not deny the existence of gender dysphoria. I believe it exists. I may actually have it. But I am under no illusion that I am owed anything by society because of it, nor would I expect anyone to take me seriously if I thought trans-species was a sub category of gender.

Bill De Blasio takes heat from Police Unions - Responds to former mayor Rudy Giuliani's comments on handling of Eric Garner Issue

New York City mayor Bill De Blasio is coming under fire from NYC police unions after he made comments critical of the police in the wake of the grand jury decision in the case of Eric Garner. Garner was choked to death by Officer Daniel Pantaleo, after police confronted him about selling loose cigarettes on the street.

New York State, and NYC in particular have steep and overbearing taxes on tobacco which has led to a thriving black market for cigarettes that spans a good portion of the North Eastern US. Criminals are getting rich and NY is losing hundreds of millions in tax revenue because of their war on tobacco.

Because of this caustic environment many smokers and entrepreneurs are turning to the black market to save or make money. One such aspiring capitalist was Eric Garner who was selling loose cigarettes on the street to make some cash. The police accosted him about his actions and an argument ensued at which point he was set upon by officers who took him to the ground while Officer Pantaleo held him by his neck using his forearm to keep him in a choke hold. There were many ways this simple disagreement could have played out, instead one man is dead and the officer who overreacted will not be indicted in his murder.

Mayor Bill De Blasio is with the people on this issue. He believes that the police were wrong, and is proposing retraining of officers to help avoid incidents like this in the future. Much of the news we have seen in recent months dealing with police violence; especially against African Americans, stems from two fundamental problems.

1.Poorer black communities have an alarmingly higher rate of crime, particularly violent crime in contrast with other lower class neighborhoods. These issues are ongoing and black leaders and politicians have failed to properly address this issue, or offer possible solutions. Civil rights leaders are silent on the issue, and politicians like De Blasio believe the violence is not the issue, but the police response to it. De Blasio said in an interview with ABC news George Stephanopoulos:

"I think he fundamentally misunderstands the reality. There is a problem here. There is a rift here that has to be overcome. You cannot look at the incident in Missouri; another incident in Cleveland, Ohio; and another incident in New York City all happening in the space of weeks and act like there's not a problem."

"There's something fundamental we have to get at here, and it's not going to be helped by accusing either the community or the police of having bad intention or not doing their job. In fact, I think everyone is trying to do their job."

2.Officers who deal with the criminal element in these areas are more worried about violence and therefore take a stance that is more aggressive than otherwise would be necessary. They fear for their lives on a daily basis and their actions reflect that fear. There is also an underlying element of racial bias attached to this fear. These officers have become hardened by their experience in these crime ridden neighborhoods and their has now turned to anger that is reflected back brutally on the communities they were hired to protect.

De Blasio sounds like the issue is only about mending the gap between the community and law enforcement and that somehow just giving the police a little 'sensitivity' training will fix the issue. Former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani contends that we need to correct the problems plaguing the black community to get the police to relax. Both of them are half right.

We need to correct the problems of crime in black communities and change the perceptions of the minds of the young men and women of these communities that has been driving them to destroy the very communities they live in whenever a perceived injustice takes place. Just as important however is the need for police to understand their role in serving the community better, learn new techniques to subdue or arrest criminals-or defuse a situation without using lethal force, and also that they be held accountable and fiercely prosecuted should they fail to live up to those standards we set for them.

Transparency and accountability coupled with proper limitations on the authority given to police will go a long way in solving that issue. There does need to be changes made in the communities these men and women are serving as well.

The fact that black leaders are refusing to openly discuss or diverting the conversation from the issue of the decaying state of black communities all over this country is appalling. Their deflection from this issue only serves to increase the problem and does more harm to these communities than good. The issue is always diverted to racial bias; and I get that, but most cops aren't racist and even black police officers commit the same kinds of violations on the citizenry as their white counterparts.

Let us not forget the fact that black police violence on whites also exists. It will be argued that violence is always worse when the officer is white and the criminal black, but white on black crime is reported far more often than the reverse and even police statistics and criminal databases don't always reflect the race of the individuals involved.

Police Unions are reacting poorly to De Blasio's comments after the grand jury verdict and are calling for De Blasio to be banned from attending funerals for fallen officers. They claim his remarks are disrespectful and don't reflect the views of the public at large. De Blasio defends the statements he made by saying:

"I make it a point not to talk about any element of the judicial process per se, I'd talk about what we have to do to fix the relationship between police and the community... As an executive in public service, I think it's important to respect the judicial process."

The real test for De Blasio will come after he has had time to make changes to the role of law enforcement and look at the results. Will his retraining of officers lead to a better relationship between police and the community, and will police officers actually be held accountable for their actions when the cross the boundary of their station and commit assault or murder on a citizen they are charged to protect?

Ferguson And Police Brutality – Lessons We Need To Learn

I'm angry about unchecked black crime, but just as angry about unchecked police crime. Ferguson has two lessons for America to learn.

Just outside Ferguson-large group of teenage(under 18) Black and Hispanic kids beat a white guy to death with a hammer. This probably won't garner any news attention.

It won't be the hot topic for the next month, just like the half a dozen other crime stories I've seen this week from around the country of purely brutal and inhuman actions by black youth on white people that do not get any attention from the media.

Even prominent members of the black community are standing up and saying that it's time for black America to wake up and start taking responsibility for the children that are being raised to be thug wanna be gangsters.

It needs to stop now. Seriously.

But let me finish by saying this. Police are a protected group and we need to tear down every police organization in this country and rebuild them from the ground up and make EVERY officer responsible for the clear violations of the civil rights of individuals of ALL COLORS. In most places in this country officers have never been charged after an investigation of brutality or murder even if their is compelling and overwhelming evidence.

Video tape every police encounter. If you feel an individuals life is in danger do what is necessary to stop the police. If need be in your area form gangs of good Samaritans whose job it is to protect the citizens from the police. File lawsuits, put their crimes all over the internet, organize, demonize, and tear down corrupt law enforcement any where you see it.

Indiana even recently changed the wording of their "Castle Doctrine" to include using force against 'public servants' who try to enter your home illegally, or harm your property or family. People are waking up, perhaps not fast enough, but it's happening.

The police have become reckless and power mad and the people of this nation are suffering for it. They work for us, this is our country, and if they can't get that into their heads then we need to force that change no matter how daunting or painful a task it might be. Police Brutality has to end, and only we can do it.

Battle of the Sexes Gets Real Feminist Stranglehold Complete

I saw this coming, but to speak is to be misogynistic hence this story rings truer than true. Such is life, and it’s a shame that the battle of the sexes comes down to this.

Men want to be men, and some women want men to be gay men that love them, other women just want men to be men, but the former shouts louder than the latter and so we have hipsters in tight pants and pink shirts, and men who don’t conform shouted down for being ‘normal.’ This really is a shitty country to be living in right now.

Equality must allow for for both sexes to maintain their identity, however some of the more extreme forms of feminism reject much of what constitutes a mans identity, making it criminal and relegating men who want simply to be themselves to outcast status. This is not equality.

Men who do not conform to this new ideal are not misogynistic, do not constitute a patriarchy, nor does their identity create a ‘rape’ culture. Bad people with bad intentions exist everywhere, and there are far too many factors that determine who will commit what heinous act.

To make male bravado or even the ill-thought out catcalls or late night bar comments a prime suspect in a contributing factor to female abuse or rape is nothing short of ludicrous. Saying you want to kill a cat does not make you a murderer, killing your cat does.

A man might comment on your breasts, but more than likely it is because he is lonely and feeling in need to love or perhaps coitus to make his evening complete. There needs to be the desire and the lack of moral compass in place before he would take those affections by force.

Categorizing men in such a fashion puts even the most banal aspects of relationships in a position of undue strain from the beginning. The woman constantly in fear that her man will disappoint or offend her. Then man scared that an innocent word or gesture could be twisted and distorted until his words constitute abuse and his affections violation.

This does not mean that this is the only outcome possible, but it seems that putting mental regulations on good old courtship makes it too much hassle when the best course of action is communication, empathy and mindfulness take care of these requirements just fine. Don’t assume there is a problem prior to the problem actually existing. Your hair will fall out.

I know I don’t have all the answers; some of what I say may not get to the heart of the matter, but I think it needs to be said. Men need to fight back against attacks on our manhood regardless of the current sociopolitical climate. We deserve better, but we also need to do better by women . This isn’t optional.

Living in the new Progressive Era

The 21st century has ushered in so many great changes and advances in all areas of science, communication, entertainment, and medicine. It does however trouble me that we have over the last 14 years become a nation so polarized, so divided, and so skittish and politically correct that it amazes me we can even function at all.

There seems to be no middle ground in the arenas of health care, abortion, women's rights, racism, sexism, gay marriage...you name it, you are on one side or another; and even if you aren't taking sides, you are bombarded with the nonsense all day, every day. How is it that we are doing so little progressing in the new era of progressive politics?

If you aren't for gay marriage you are homophobic. It's an opinion on a definition of a concept that has both legal and religious ties. Having and opinion on it doesn't make you afraid of gay people. This whole argument seems to hinge on the fact that there seems to be an unspoken law that dictates that you must be an unwavering fan of homosexuality and all it entails or else you are clearly against them and therefore branded under the catch-all term if 'homophobic.' What a ridiculous sentiment.

If you think a black man screaming "kill whitey" is wrong, you are a racist because the new sentiment is that black people are incapable of being racist because they 'don't have the power'. Really? Have you heard of Barack Obama? Condoleeza Rice? Clarence Thomas? Oprah Winfrey and Michael Jordan are both highly influential and both are BILLIONAIRES! Black CEO's are starting to be been not just in every area of business, but in fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft , Merck, American Express, and McDonald's.

John W. Thompson is the current independent chairmen of the board of directors of Microsoft and has served as chairman of such companies as Virtual Instruments and Symanctec Corp. The list is not extensive, but it does show that the notion that black people have no power is nonsense. Sure there are millions of black who live in poverty and have no power...welcome to America. I Am a white man who is also not in the millionaires club nor do I have any power other then the lights in my apartment.

The notion that racism happens to blacks more than whites may or may not be true; but I live in a pretty diverse area and have heard a very large amount of anti-white sentiment come from the mouths of African Americans, so I find this notion hard to believe. Also, the constant picking apart of peoples speech and actions to try and find some kind of hidden racism in seemingly innocuous things only serves to exaggerate and inflame the situation, not alleviate it.

Abortion rights activists have become especially vocal in the age of Obamacare and their arguments range from speculative to downright absurd. I have heard every kind of argument from the highly flawed 'violinist' theory to the morphing of the language to remove pro-choice to become 'women's rights' to one woman arguing on a blog about abortion claiming that 'you can't kill something that isn't even alive.' What the hell is your definition of alive lady???

Do women have a right to control their own bodies? Yes.

Do they have the right to have an abortion? Yes.

Should they have the right to kill a fully formed, sentient fetus? I don't believe so as I do not believe in the killing of sentient beings. But hey that's just me..and Buddha, and his 500 million+ followers, so there's no need to take us seriously.

Should women have the right to use abortion as a form of birth control? NO! Use a little common sense and responsibility instead of a closed mind and an open vagina.condoms, birth control, and other contraceptives are cheap and readily available in most drug and grocery stores. We can't simply ignore personal responsibility in the name of convenience. Sure, we have the freedom to do so, but we as a moral people should be opposed to such behavior.

The worst is yet to come. However, without sounding too pessimistic we are going to endure many more years of this nonsense until it is finally balanced out with reason and the eventual weariness of the public to an all too gargantuan war cry of intolerance, hatred, racism, sexism, and homophobia; when in reality most of us just want to live in peace, or be left alone, and the rest will continue to pretend that their weak words or deeds will ever give rise to the 'Old South' again and we will laugh and continue about our business in a world free of progressive diatribes that stink of hypocrisy and tired agendas.

Have we had enough intolerance? Sure, unless their is wedding cake involved
Have we had enough racism? Absolutely, unless white people are to blame
Have we had enough sexism? I guess, unless you're confused about your gender

You get the idea. It's reaching a boiling point and the recent Ferguson protests are a prime example of Americans waking up to the ongoing issues plaguing the black community and the unwillingness of the black leadership and the media to offer solutions instead of the endless coverage of events that only seems to make matters worse.

Net Neutrality : A Bad Idea or Freedom for All?

I've written extensively on Net Neutrality in the past. But this thing just keeps cropping up and frankly it's getting quite annoying. I'm afraid that too many people simply do not understand the implications behind the innocuous sounding bill. It doesn't keep the internet free for all, it simply opens another portal for the federal government into the free range internet that we need to keep fighting to keep free.

Forget the phrase' Net Neutrality.' It's just a buzz word meant to illicit a passionate response. It is, in essence simply a piece of legislation designed to prohibit ISP's from holding bandwidth hostage unless a particular target group pays more money. Also the concept of Net Neutrality would prevent ISP's from simply oppressing bandwidth on protocols such as Torrents or P2P file sharing. The problem is not in the idea, it's in the implementation. In the past few years numerous bills, under the guise of net neutrality has come and gone including the failed 2010 FCC penned 'open internet' order.

The content of any piece of legislation is key to making a final determination on if it should be implemented or not. While on the surface it may seem benign, there may be parts of the bill or vague wordings therein that could allow the government or a particular private company to bend or break the rules for their own gain. This is an all too common issue with such types of legislation and is the reason bills like SOPA and PIPA were shot down, and why many people were disgusted with the so-called 'Fairness Doctrine' touted by butt-hurt Democrats whose radio shows were miserable failures and needed a way to try and limit the Conservative dominance of the airwaves.

Before anyone gets all giddy because porn stars are making viral videos to try and explain the awesomeness of net neutrality, it might be in your best interest to actually read the content of an proposed internet bills and see if it sounds as fair in meat as it is in skin. You can title a bill anything you want and the content can be completely different. That is how Washington works and you'd do well to remember it.

I have always been vehemently opposed to any legislation that restricts, prohibits, expands, or contracts any of the rights inherent in the wide open wilderness of the world wide web. I don't care what criminal activity you are trying to curb, governments should have no more than cursory access to any data on the internet that is not meant to be public.

If you bust a company for selling child porn over the internet you should have access to the data on their machines and any information that can be obtained from those assets. You should be able to subpoena the phone and internet records for the named defendants only, and you should never have access to the whole of any data owned by any ISP or hosting provider that is not an indicted party. Even if say- GOOGLE was indicted in a lawsuit about pirated material, the brunt of user data should be off-limits. Search histories and sites accessed for non-defendants should be sealed and unusable.

No government should ever have the right to turn off or otherwise restrict internet access even in an emergency situation like we saw in the highly improbable action film 'Live Free or Die Hard.' The problem in America however is peoples lack of interest in the actual working of government. They hear the call of their political masters and do what they say without much thought of their own. They are ignorant of the content of the bills they helped to get passed nor are they fully aware of the rights and freedoms they sign away on a regular basis in the name of 'fairness' 'equality' or the 'common good.' All words that have hidden meanings in the minds of very rich men with only their own interests at heart. Money and power motivate these people and not your rights or freedoms.

$15 an hour? Minimum wage for Minimum Effort. The End of personal responsibility and the degredation of the spirit of goodwill and charity.

No offense(ok, maybe a little.) If you didn't have the ambition to finish high school, or maybe you got a GED, and you can't budget your money, and have not applied yourself to a degree where you were able to get a job better than McDonald's or Walmart, I'm sorry, but you don't deserve to make $15 dollars an hour.

I make less than that and I care for two other people and you know what? It's a struggle, but with some crafty shopping and cutting out all the frivolous purchases, we've been surviving just fine. A family of three on very tight budget and I feel pretty good.

My life is OK and if yours is not, it is not the world's fault. You must look at your choices, and find and remove the things that hinder your happiness and work towards bettering yourself, even if the betterment is internal. You lash out at others for your own failures(something I did in my youth all too often.)

You are bitter at those with money and privilege, when in reality most of them are not any happier than you are. So why is your anger directed at people who have applied themselves and worked hard to make their lives better. Shouldn't they be an example of what we can achieve if we strive for it, and not a target of misplaced rage.

Many who advocate more government spending for social welfare programs, do not give of themselves in a charitable manner. Your efforts to help should equal or exceed the level of help being provided by government agencies.(I don't mean you need to spend a billion dollars)But if the government says we will give you a hot meal and clean socks, you offer 2 hot meals and a clean shirt.

There are many food pantries and soup kitchens around. Perhaps you could help out at one, or just as important, tell people about those resources so they can utilize them to stave off hunger and find a warm, friendly environment to relax in for a time.

Give a friend in need some pocket change or offer to share your dinner with them. None of these things require a great deal of effort, and they were at one time, the spirit contained in the very least of us. Now the best of us pass the responsibility off to government machines and we ridicule charitable organizations because some of them dare to believe in God.

It saddens me deeply that we live in a world that has given up, that is willing to subject itself to tyranny and too put ambition aside so as to gain a moments rest at the bosom of the statist machine.
My only hope is that in all this madness more people will realize that just being an 'activist' doesn't make you anything more than a mouth piece. Your efforts would be better served in more action and less talk.

In the coming months we are going to see big changes in this country. Change that we were promised by the President when he was first elected in 2008. In 2013, it's hard to imagine that this was the kind of change he was talking about. High unemployment, skyrocketing costs for food and basic goods, more government intrusion, less rights, less liberty, common core to make our children more stupid, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, NSA illegal wiretapping, changes to the NDAA allowing the indefinite detention of US citizens for any reason and legalizing sodomy and bestiality in the United States Military, unprecedented abuse of power by law enforcement and federal agents against law-abiding citizens.

Not to mention the incomprehensible health care law that does absolutely everything the president said it wouldn't, and fines people for non-compliance all while the website that was created for it stifles or completely prevents people from doing what the law requires.

This is the America Barack Obama envisioned for us???

In the last few months I have seen shocking displays of ignorance and naivety from Lord Obama's legion of zombie dunderheads. I am frightened that I live in a country where people are genuinely happy to be forced into healthcare, happy to expand food stamps and medicaid to beyond the breaking point in the misguided notion that it's the best and only way to help people. Large swaths of people who are willing to give up their liberty and freedoms for that ounce of security. I have heard people praying for the day when we can all live like we are supposed to in peace and harmony as Karl Marx envisioned for us.....wait. WTF????? The population of the freest nation earth espousing the failed ideals of Socialism, Marxism, Fascism, and Communism.

Our forefathers are trying to tear down the gates of heaven just to get back down here and put a stop to this insanity.

I am tired.

I am tired of an economy collapsing under the burden of over-regulation and failed Keynesian economic policies.

I am tired of having to choose between eating healthy and eating within a budget.

I am tired of waking up every day to more and more restrictions on the things I used to take for granted. What was once an infraction, is now a felony, what was once commonplace is now considered criminal, our property is not our own, our bodies are not our own, the very air we breath and the water we drink is not our own. All of these things can be taxed, restricted, or made criminal by an overreaching Federal Government who has abandoned our founding principles over a century ago.

I want my childhood back, when things were simpler, and people more interested in living for themselves then forcing their idea of living on others.

So please take back your utopian pile of shit.

You can keep your political correctness.
You can keep your invisible racism accusations.
You can keep your feminist rape culture of lies and distortions.
You can keep your free health care.
You can keep your veiled intolerance, your violent peace movement, your candy coated world of altruistic horse shit where everything is always wonderful, and paid for by the government with free money that came from the magical tree of social welfare.

I'll take back my free market capitalism.
I'll take back my freedom of speech.
I'll take back my second amendment rights.
I'll take back the freedom and liberty that we all used to enjoy.
And soon, I have a very distinct feeling we will be taking our country back as well.
