These photos are a small tour of The Stitching Post, a 3400 square foot shop in Baltimore, MD. The retail store carries counted thread, needlepoint, hardanger supplies and accessories.

"The Stitching Post provides services for custom framing as well as finishing for completed projects, classes, mail order and internet sales. Personal service is a top priority with the employees helping customers to find projects, choose fabrics and threads and custom frame their works.

This year, The Stitching Post celebrates 30 years in business and they would like to welcome everyone to the Needlearts Market in Baltimore this August. The store is only 10 minutes from BWI airport and 15 minutes from downtown Baltimore and the Inner Harbor area. There are currently two other unique retail stores, The Seminole Sampler for quilters and Clover Hill for knitters, in the same building complex, all within doors of each other!

We hope everyone is excited about TNNA’s Fall Market in August and we look forward to seeing many of you in Baltimore. We would love to see you at The Stitching Post while you are in town so stop in and browse if you get the chance!"

These photos are a small tour of Sign of the Arrow, a 2300 square foot shop located in St. Louis, Missouri. The retail store is known for its extensive selection of designer needlepoint, including hand-painted canvases, custom designs, custom finishing, furniture, fibers, trunk shows, and classes.

Sign of the Arrow was established in 1966 by the St. Louis Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi to provide philanthropic support to the community. The shop is staffed by 90+ community volunteers who give 18,000+ hours annually to help run Sign of the Arrow. All shop proceeds benefit area agencies. Since its inception, Sign of the Arrow has donated more than $3.3 million to 150+ local charities. Shoppers truly impact the lives of St. Louisans by shopping at Sign of the Arrow.

Antique Displays from Cross Stitch Corner

Beverly Hammer, Cross Stitch Corner in Nashville, TN: "Only a few months shy of 30 years, my shop is still standing and I love my shop and still love to stitch. It's almost like Christmas every day when a delivery man brings us a package. After being in a strip mall for 18 years, 12 years ago I bought a commercial building and renovated it with hardwood flooring and tin ceiling. It is furnished with antique fixtures from 1800's. While there are a few wire racks, there are over 20 antique spool cabinets, ribbon cabinet, a hall tree (holding finished bell pulls and pillows), our 1826 front counter, bathroom pedestal basin and a fireplace mantle holding our Christmas stockings. While some cabinets are props and storage, we use most of them to display the models, patterns and threads. One cabinet, the Potter's Silk, is our museum. It is full of small antique sewing items. While some were purchased at antique shops, most was donated from customers to share with others. While we are a dedicated cross stitch shop, using antiques gives the shop a happy, homey feeling."

The Mad Stitcher aka Kathy Bonham's stitching cabinet. "It was a gift from my late husband and is perfect for all my smalls. It is a lighted cherry cabinet with glass shelves. I have stitched a variety of designer boxes, necessaires, bookmarks, etc. and needed a safe place to display them."

"I live in this small village in the Belgian Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge World War 2 where so many americans fought is only a few kilometers away from my home And the famous "Nuts" in Bastogne is just as close).

This is a photo of antique wooden spools that are no reused for different purposes. I roll my ribbons around them and then put them neatly next to each other on a shelf
