It was not easy and it took longer than expected. My hope is that her example will serve to inspire you rather than discourage you when things don't go your way as fast as you want them to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As I said in my previous blog posting - there are no straight lines in the Universe. There are bends and turns and obstacles both large and small. S0metimes the obstacle is so large it blocks everything including your vision for the future. Sometimes the obstacle is so large you can't see beyond it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But the way to go forward is go forward with faith. YES - you have to believe in your vision and you have to continually see in your mind that your goals and your dreams are achievable. You have to believe even when the present results tell you otherwise. The secret is not believing what you see and instead believing in your own vision.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What am I talking about? Am I losing my mind? What is all this talk about belief, and vision? What does this got to do with earning your first million?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Everything.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I saw last night Celtics victory over the Lakers. It's one of the most lopsided championship win in NBA history. The Celtics destroyed the Lakers with a 39 point lead. It was emotional. I have tears in my eyes. YES - I am a Celtics fan but more importantly...I have tears in my eyes because I can relate to and I admire the Celtics' team's BIG HEART. Kevin Garnett shouted at the top of his voice with tears running down his cheeks..."Everything is possible!"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They believed they can win...even when they encountered obstacles after obstacles.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So should you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Winning is all the more sweet when it is not easy. And winning in the real estate game is not easy. Now that the market here in the US has turned for the worst, I've seen a lot of investors get wiped out. A lot of them are no longer investors. Moreover, 68% of real estate agents are no longer real estate agents because of the market.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is easy to quit. In fact, it's even fashionable to do so. Everyone seems to be quitting the real estate game and you look smart for following the crowd.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;BUT, quitters quit and winners WIN. There will be obstacles after obstacles but if you have the heart of a champion, it's a mathematical certainty that VICTORY is yours.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So like Gia...and the Celtics...you should face obstacles head on. Have a heart of a champion and get off your BUTT and face the challenges that life throws at you. Persevere. Get mentors and take MASSIVE...MASSIVE...MASSIVE ACTION. My hope is that her story will inspire and motivate everyone specially those who has not done their first deal and even those who are finding it difficult to sell their property. Below is Part 2 of my interview with Gia. Read on, be inspired and take immediate action based on what you will learn here!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;----------------------------------------&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - what are the three most important things you've learned from this deal?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Gia&lt;/strong&gt; -&lt;br /&gt;1. There are several exit strategies - I thought there was only one way but I learned you can either wholesale, retail, rent to own or even rent out the property&lt;br /&gt;2. There are several ways to market the property - offline, online, guerilla marketing, traditional.... and you never know where your buyer will come from so marketing has to be massive and extreme. It's also a numbers game, so...&lt;br /&gt;3. Never Give up! Good thing I had the support of my mentors and co-franchisees from the Think Rich Pin0y Millionaire Network. They kept me going especially through the difficult times. There was a point when I almost gave up... I prayed really hard and kept on going and soon after the sale came!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - what can you advice to those investors who have houses or properties they can't seem to sell?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214732233587282834" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_s9RDY7nksgY/SF5zVm2_05I/AAAAAAAAA4o/X5ET2-onmqE/s400/check-payment-Gia-Garcia%27s-first-deal.JPG" border="0" /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Gia&lt;/strong&gt; - I would advice them to learn how to market the property well. Sometimes its a marketing problem. Like I said, its a numbers game. The more people you have inquiring or interested in your property, the chances of it selling increases. And if I will quote you, "its a mathematical certainty!" Or another option is seeking a mentor or offering the property to any of us Franchisees! If its a good deal maybe we can help each other out! That's another thing that I learned in the process. From doing the business just for profit, I learned that I wanted to help people out or to solve their property needs. Whether they need to sell their property or they are looking for a good deal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214732582362238946" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_s9RDY7nksgY/SF5zp6JbT-I/AAAAAAAAA4w/Y3_nIUTwlt8/s400/Gia-Garcia-first-deal-dining-staged.JPG" border="0" /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - describe your current deal (acquisition price, potential profit)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Gia&lt;/strong&gt; - The current deal I'm working on is a 9-door townhouse row in Tagaytay. It's still in its initial stage so we haven't closed yet on the price but it can generate a profit of P500,000 - 1million if sold altogether (wholesale/flip) or a potential cashflow income (net passive income) of around P55,000 per month just on rent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - so when are you going to be a millionaire?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Gia&lt;/strong&gt;- In 5 months! It took me 9 months from the time I acquired my first deal to the time I received a check. That's not what quick turn real estate is supposed to be...it's called quick for a reason and that is, you should receive a check in your hands in 30 days or less.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But no matter...winners don't quit. They win...no matter what. Even if it takes longer than expected. One of the winners I am featuring in this blog is one of my students and franchisees - Gia Garcia. It took her a while to make money in the business but I believe this first deal of hers is her stepping stone to her first million.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I "interviewed" her and below is Part 1 of that interview. Read on, be inspired and learn.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;--------------------&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - I heard that you finally closed on your very first deal. Please describe this deal for me&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Gia&lt;/strong&gt; - Yes Trace! Finally! The property was a 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo unit. I got it it for 2,050,000 and sold it for 3,030,000. Net profit is around P220,000 after all the expenses and taxes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - what difficulties did you encounter?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Gia&lt;/strong&gt; - The holding period and closing the deal. I had a lot of interested parties and inquiries, but I got a lot of rejections. In the beginning I also encountered difficulties with the bank-seller and the agency who sold the condo through auction. At first they didn't grant me access to the property after winning the bid. It took me 2 months before I could really do anything.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - after experiencing the ups and downs, if you can do it all over again, will you still do this deal?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Gia&lt;/strong&gt; - Yes I would. Since it was my first deal, I knew it was a learning process. And I really learned alot.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - what will you do differently?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Gia&lt;/strong&gt; - If I would do it all over again, knowing what I know now, it would probably be easier and faster. I would fix up the condo first and stage it before showing it to a client. I think alot of the initial prospects were turned off when it wasn't fixed up yet. Then I would go extreme marketing - using several marketing media all at the same time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;---------------------&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace's comments:&lt;/strong&gt; 97% of beginning real estate investors quit in 3 months or less- that is most so-called real estate investors don't make it. Quitters quit and winners win. Gia encountered difficulties after difficulties but inspired, guided and coached by her mentors and her co-franchisees, she perservered. The result? She made money on her first deal..and this is her stepping stone to her first million. Why? Because what she has learned from this deal is knowledge she can utilize to make more money in her subsequent deals. Her first deal also proves to her investor that she can deliver. And guess what? Her investor will invest again and again because of this. Her first deal also allowed her to generate a buyers' list - whom she can find properties for. I can't begin to imagine the amount of money she can make from this list alone and it all started because she had the guts to actually buy a property and stick with it until the end...despite the difficulties.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So...what about you? What is the potential profit, how did you find the deal, etc.?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Jessie&lt;/strong&gt; – Our latest deal is “Romagna deal”, our 3rd property in Maia Alta, Antipolo. We already have a buyer for this property. We bought it for 2.5M, and sold it for 3.5M on a rent-to-own basis for 15 years. (Actually, we are selling it for 2.9M if cash, 3.1M if Bank financing. And 3.5M if Rent-to-own.) We found a buyer first and then we showed different properties even if they were not yet tied up. After the buyer’s decision as to which property they wanted, we talked to the seller and tied it up for Php5,000 only.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - If there is only one thing from each of you that you can tell our readers who are striving to become millionaires, what advice will you give?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Jessie&lt;/strong&gt; – Set “unrealistic” goals. And take massive action. Stay with it until its completion.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Apple&lt;/strong&gt; – Have very good mentors who can guide you. (lol) Honestly, you must not stop on what you are and have right know. Strive more so there will be more opportunities in helping other people. As Bo says, “The purpose of money is to help and bless others. The more people you help, the richer you become and you become rich not just materially but spiritually. You become truly rich.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Jessie &lt;/strong&gt;- Our goal is to earn Php1Million monthly. Jessie and Apple Raquel have blazed a trail and their story is such an inspiration. I interviewed them and here's part 1:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - I heard you're the Think Rich Pin0y Millionaire's Network franchise's first real estate millionaire couple! Congratulations! How does it feel?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Jessie&lt;/strong&gt; - We are proud to be the first "Think Rich Pin0y" millionaires because of our first property in Bancal Meycauayan Bulacan. When I am feeling discouraged and have lots of rejection, I always look back to this successful event in our life. This is really a milestone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Apple &lt;/strong&gt;- It feels really great! We owe this to our group the TRPMN (Think Rich Pin0y Millionaire Network) and of course to our magnificent mentors, you,Larry Gamboa, Bo Sanchez and Nelson Terrible.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - describe to me how you achieved millionaire status in such a short time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Apple&lt;/strong&gt; - We bought through a bank auction a 10-door apartment as our first deal in Bancal, Meycauayan Bulacan. And through yours and Larry's guidance, we were able to determine that its value is Php3.7M and bought only for Php1.85M.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Jessie&lt;/strong&gt; – In the simplest way, the most crucial thing is to set “unrealistic” and “bone-deep” heart-felt goals. My goal at that time was not to become a millionaire but to have a passive income (Php150,000 monthly) so that I don’t need to work abroad and leave my family just to earn a living. And whatever happens stay focused in achieving it but be flexible. There are lots of learning experience from your first deal. Try to find out what works and what doesn't. From my youth, I always believe that I am G0d’s beloved. That He is with me no matter what happens. I just believe in my heart that G0d calls me to do this thing for a higher purpose. In essence, you have to set goals. Act upon it and stay focused. And believe that this goal will be achieved.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - what challenges did you encounter and how did you overcome them?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Jessie&lt;/strong&gt; – The biggest challenge was to sell the 10 units of the apartment in Bancal, Meycauayan.We had a negative cash flow for 1 year. You suggested the idea of marketing it using Php99/day RENT-TO-OWN units. After massive marketing campaign, bandit signs and internet marketing, unbelievable things happened, we were able move the remaining 5 units in 2 two weeks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Trace&lt;/strong&gt; - so you went from negative cashflow for 1 year and because of one single idea from me...you were able to become positive cashflow in just 2 weeks. Wow!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Apple&lt;/strong&gt; - It really ain’t easy being in the same business as a couple. What's tougher is if you want to climb it at a faster pace by running. If you are to choose among the two goals, which one would be more exciting to achieve?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are like me, I would go for the second one. Yes, it's more difficult but it is more exciting.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Imagine that two mountain climbers push through at the same time of day with the same goal of reaching the top. Obviously, the running climber will reach the top faster given all factors equal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just imagine being the second climber reaching the top grasping for air, body perspiring all around, and a body tired of exhaustion. But after all of this is the exhilirating experience of being on the top and enjoying the magnificence of the view around you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yesterday, I declared that:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I want to become the SECOND millionaire of the Think Rich Pinoy Millionaire Network. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After a consultation with Trace, he suggested that I change it to:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;To become the fastest franchisee to become a multi-millionaire. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wow! That's a bigger one. I think this is a better goal as it covers the first goal that I mentioned above and I got the chance to set a new record of my own.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the world of Sports, speed is one of the great measurement of achievement. They are couples and have achieved the feat 3 years before schedule. Any practical tips on how to attract wealth and not repel it?"&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The whole book is about attracting wealth and how NOT to repel it. I just sight a scenario for Chapter 1 entitled "No Guilt". More of these on the next posts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By no guilt, you show no shame/guilt of:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Selling your product or services&lt;br /&gt;2. Asking the buyer to pay for what your product is really worth&lt;br /&gt;3. Closing the sale for whatever situation your buyer may be. You don't carre if s/he has money to pay for it or s/he has other priorities. His/her lack of money is not because of your existence.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In my personal opinion, what you can do to practice "No Guilt" is to:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Always put in mind that you are an entrepreneur. You provide value to your customers and they pay you in exchange for your product or services.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Learn the art of selling. Read sales books of successful sales people like Dan Kennedy, Blair Singer, and Tom Hopkins. Sales skills is a prerogative for entrepreneurs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Practice the principle of "Always Be Closing". That's a totally separate topic that I will discuss in future post. You can start researching if you like to. It's entitled "&lt;strong&gt;No B.S. Wealth Attraction For Entrepreneurs&lt;/strong&gt;" by Dan Kennedy. I've started reading it and have hit me right from Chapter 1.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Chapter 1 debuncs our beliefs about scarcity vs. abundance mentality. This is supported by how we behave or think when we are selling something. Why are the examples related to selling? Because entrepreneurs need to sell or they shall perish as Larry often said. And of course, this book's intended audience are entrepreneurs!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I remember clearly when I joined a network marketing company a few years ago. I was selling my friends this particular product or package. Consciously, I want to close the sale and make money. However unconsciously, I was trying to push them away and not close the sale. Why?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Because deep inside me, there's this voice that says that if they buy, I will earn but they will loose money. I'm afraid that my product will not meet their needs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;There are two flaws in this mindset. First, why am I selling something that I am not comfortable selling? You need to have confidence in your product before you sell it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The other thing is that I am already assuming that my product will not be able to help them, therefore these people will loose money if they buy it. How do I know? Just my assumptions.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Unknowingly, I am sabotaging my ability to close the sale and in the process, repelling wealth that I should be getting. If this is the case, why would I want to be an entrepreneur?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Entrepreneurs should provide something of value to other people in exchange for some monetary amount. There should be no guilt to close the sale whatever the situation of the buying party. After all, you are doing them a favor by providing what they need.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Attracting wealth is a mind game and so is repelling wealth. Your mind is a powerful magnet. Whatever pole you choose will define your results - you either attract or repell wealth. The message is clear based on the picture displayed. There are many children who need financial assistance for their education all around the country.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You might wonder why am I so moved with this thing. Pretty simple. Let's just say that I happen to be in their shoes during my school days. How can I forget the time during my 4th year college when we were doing Physics calculation quizzes and I have no scientific calculator to use. I have to wait for my seatmate to finish before I can get an answer of my own. We simply cannot afford to buy one at that time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am a little bit blessed as my mother and some generous relatives helped me finish high school. College time is another challenge for me. This one is really pretty expensive.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now come my super hero in the Philippine business to the rescue. Oh, is there such one in the Philippines? Believe it or not but there is. His name is Mr. Henry Sy. Familiar? He is simply the tycoon owner of the SM Malls all over the country and other businesses. How was he able to help me?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Unknown to most of you, he had been running what is called &lt;strong&gt;SM Foundation Scholarship&lt;/strong&gt;. It is funding the college studies of needy but intellectually-gifted high school graduates. Fortunately, I passed their rigid requirements and successfully completed my college degree.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am not telling you this to brag but to make you realize that being rich is not a bad thing. It is you who decides what you do with your riches. In Mr. Henry Sy's case, he chooses to put some in the education of the youth. How's that for nation building?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Another thing I am so proud of him is that he never asked for anything in return. After graduation, it's up to you to find your job. You don't need to pay the Foundation or be tied up to his company for a period of time. He surely understands the Law of Reciprocity. That is, the universe will be the one who will pay back his generosity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To sum up, we should be grateful of what we have today. Enjoy the blessings that we have and learn to share it with others. Don't expect anything in return. Just believe that there is a hidden hand who will give it back to you...a hundred fold.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;P.S.&lt;/strong&gt; I am not promoting the ad in any way. I have never encountered a bold, daring, and noble declaration as this in today's times in the Philippines.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, are you ready for another surprise?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What if I tell you that the mission above can be achieved by 2018 or less? Isn't it a BIGGER, more HAIRY, and more AUDACIOUS GOAL? Before you question my sanity, let me first tell you a story.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 1930, there were two young brothers named Dick and Maurice who have successfully built a restaurant business. From a small drive-in restaurant in Pasadena, they were able to make it big by streamlining their restaurant operations and providing excellent customer service.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Can you guess who were these brothers? If you happen to live on those times, you can see their famous restaurant name by driving to their restaurant on the corner of Fourtheenth and E Streets. The sign says "MCDONALD'S HAMBURGERS". They were so successful that they seem to hit the jackpot. And the rest was history, right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sorry my friend, you didn't get it right. The McDonalds didn't reach new heights under the leadership of the two brothers. They tried to market McDonalds as a franchise but their result was dismal. What made the difference? Although they were excellent restaurant owners and efficient managers, they were not leaders. Their thinking patterns prevented them from becoming the type of persons that brought McDonalds to where it is now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It was only until 1954 when the brothers teamed up with a guy named Ray Kroc. Ray had a great vision for the restaurant business. He immediately bought the rights to a franchise and used it as a model to sell other franchises. He assembled a team by recruiting the best and brightest people he could find and built an organization to support his vision. As his organization grows, he realized that he needed to train more leaders who will eventually develop additional recruits with leadership skills.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;OK, enough with the McDonald's story. If you want to read more, you can find it at Chapter 1 (The Law of the Lid) of John Maxwell's book The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How does this story relate to my claims above? As you can see in the previous posts of Trace, he is trying to streamline and make improvements to his well-oiled quick turn real estate business through various marketing efforts and activities. Much like what Dick and Maurice did, we need to have a great real estate business system. Having this lessens the learning time and efforts needed by a franchisee to reach millionaire status.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The second element is the ability of our leaders to continuously improve on their leadership skills. What this organization can achieve is greatly impacted by the ability of our leaders to raise their leadership game.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And finally, it will be difficult to achieve the mission if our leaders simply develop/lead enlightened millionaires. It's a must but it's not enough. An army of enlightened millionaire leaders should be trained/lead as our core leaders can only handle much. In return, these leaders will train more leaders, which in effect multiplies the capacity of our core leaders. John Maxwell says it well on his book The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership that to add growth, lead followers. To multiply, lead leaders. This is the Law of Explosive Growth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If Ray Kroc was able to do it with McDonalds, why not this organization? Don't you remember that we have three millionaire leaders plus a billionaire? Won't you agree that four heads are better than one? If the Big 4 are able to capitalize on my three suggestions above, it's just a matter of execution before we see a One Million Pinoy Millionaires by 2020...or even 2018 or less.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;P.S. I have worked as a virus researcher/analyst in a global computer security company named Trend Micro, Inc. for 6 years. I spent another two and a half years as a supervisor working with 10 or more engineers. During that stay, I was trained to become a people manager and a leader as well. As a new member of the TRP organization, I am excited to impart what I have learned and experienced from my previous company.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;P.P.S. Most of you would probably prefer to belong to the 1% as it is the choice that offers the most comfort for this scenario.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then someone came challenging the idea. Why wait until 65 when I can do it 20-25 years earlier? Retire young, retire rich!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"In my dreams man."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Are you in your right mind?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Oh common. I'm no Robert Kiyosaki nor Donald Trump."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If any of these run through your head, you're probably one of those who believe that it's a CRAZY idea. Well, I can't blame you if you think so. After all, our mind is conditioned to believe that retirement can only be achieved after long years of spending time working to earn money. How old are you going to be by then? 60? 65? You might be a proud wise man by that time playing golf or enjoying time with your grandchildren. Not a bad idea.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now what if we move it 20-25 years earlier. Would it make a BIG difference or is there any difference at all?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Imagine you want to travel to Europe. Would you rather travel by sea or by air? Obviously, going by air is the hands-down choice if you prefer to arrive there earlier, taking you by just less than a day. If you prefer the long route, going by sea is good for you, which will take you to your destination in around several days or months. Whatever course you choose, you will still arrive in Europe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My friend, whatever it is that you're going to do on your retirement, whether you're going to do it when you are 60 or 40 does not speak much of the TIME that that you save by doing it early. Would you agree that 20-25 years is a lot of time to enjoy life if earning money is no longer of your worries?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you have no idea at all, let me give you some. 20-25 years is a lot of time to:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Spend precious time with your loved ones. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;Get your dreams. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;Do whatever your heart chooses to do.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;With:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;The strength and vigor of a younger fellow. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;The financial stability to support you.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;The peace of mind of not having to worry for the future.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;These possibilities are great but I don't have a magic wand or Aladdin's lamp to make these happen. Relax, I have some tips for you gathered from the experts:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. &lt;strong&gt;Own and visualize your dream&lt;/strong&gt;. No, I am not talking of the dreams that you have when you are sleeping. These are the things that you want to happen in your life that you are so passionate about. Have your own, it's free. Imagine yourself when you are already rich. What are you doing each day? Who are the people you are with? Where do you live? What model of car are you driving? And one more thing, write your dreams down and read them everyday. It has some magic in it that pushes you work for it daily.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. &lt;strong&gt;Prepare a plan&lt;/strong&gt;. Know exactly what you are going to do. Break it down into weeks for easy monitoring and followup. If you are not yet sure what to do, take some time figuring it out. Choose those that you love and have an easy time doing day in and day out. In short, work on your strengths.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. &lt;strong&gt;Just do it!&lt;/strong&gt; Just like Nike says. Execute the plans that you have listed in item #2. If you can do it now, don't wait until tomorrow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. &lt;strong&gt;Educate yourself continuously&lt;/strong&gt;. Education does not end in school. There are plenty of new things to learn in life and the field that you are engaged in. Challenge yourself to become an expert at what you do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Please don't think that I am an expert already. Just like everyone else, I am also travelling the road towards financial freedom. If you like this path, you have just found someone going for the same route. We have a long tough road ahead.
