Strategic Social Bookmarking Methods for Better Backlinks

For the past several years the rise of social bookmarking as a versatile tool for SEO and marketing has had a massive impact in IM. Bookmarking is seriously in use by online marketers for obtaining backlinks and more traffic. Yet the wiser IM businesses will use particular bookmark sites as they are meant to be used which is also a strategy for continued growth and expansion. It basically is a matter of your particular business goals and perhaps what appeals to you. If you haven't been around IM much, then a bookmarking site is basically just a site where you can place bookmarks on the net. Plus you are able to tag your bookmarks with your particular keywords which can help with some SEO but it tends to be temporary.

Google took a great deal of the power out of high PR bookmarking sites when it appeared they (perhaps) let the various sites know that their dofollow link properties were causing issues. The more well-known bookmarking websites had the ability to just kill the search results for their bookmarks. Naturally, I make conjecture about any impact Google had with those changing their links to nofollow. However it is interesting, and we all know how Google is or can be.

Make no mistake about what is possible at high PR bookmarking sites when you take a different approach with them. The majority of people who use them for backlinking tend to create very thin profiles that provide no value to the particular community. However, I am knowledgeable of people who do take a few more minutes developing their profiles. More typical, non-spammy, profiles won't be deleted by the human reviewers - and that is why it's wise to do it like that. Hopefully you understand the great benefit available when you take an approach surrounding a higher quality profile.

Also consider your ability to use the RSS feed functions available with a meaty profile with good content in it. That means you will be able to post those feeds to RSS directories, plus they are able to get indexed. Consider the added benefit of more exposure for your links in those feeds. Just make certain you provide exceptional content in your feeds and stay clear of being spammy with the links in them.

What you have to do is maintain a balance between promoting your money sites/offers and providing good quality content that your online subscribers will appreciate. You can achieve a lot if you have solid associations in place at bookmarking sites. It is not necessary to spend time building relationships and getting known, but it doesn't have to be totally time consuming.

Ultimately, how you approach making use of bookmarking sites in your own business is your call. Most people are likely to just use them for backlinking, and it does seem that the approach outlined above is not used by so many people. However, there really is strength in that strategy based on the feedback we pick up from those who use it.
It is basic info but can get you thinking about what you could do with infomercials about your product, organization or anything you want to promote.

Infomercials and the Web

Infomercials have been slowly making it to the web one way or another.
Before the internet, infomercials relied solely on phone and / or mail
order. Since then, many infomercials put the mail order address in a
secondary location to the web address. The web allows the advertiser to
include more information about the product. This could be in the form of
testimonials, additional video of product demonstrations, and even
user-generated content. The web site also provides another sales
channel, getting sales from search engines and affiliate marketing
traffic.

Consumer Feedback

The web has also allowed infomercial products to be rated, reviewed,
commented, and talked about. Also, product feedback can be collected via
the web to help improve the product, although it rarely makes it into
any product enhancements. However, if the product doesn't perform as
promised, the web has also acted as a facilitator for users of the
product sold via the infomercial to band together and complain, which
can cause significant negative press and taper sales.

Infomercial Parodies

Because infomercials often show people having difficult times in normal
situations, they are often the target of parody videos. The web has
enabled user-generated infomercial parodies to spread very rapidly. In
some instances the parody videos have been viewed by millions of people.
While not authorized by the producer, parody videos can act as a way to
virally expand product awareness, albeit in the wrong context and
message.

Word of Mouth

Having a website for the infomercial also lets people share the product
easily with their friends, which can't be done on television, unless
it's recorded. It's very easy for someone to come to the website for the
infomercial and share that link with a friend or even go to the Youtube
channel and embed the video in their own website.

Get free articles in various topic for your website or blog content as much as you want at Article Directory: http://www.articlecompilation.com
