It is easy being "green"
WITS not-for-profit will be hosting its 4th Annual
Post-Holiday Special Collection Event.

Starting January 15th through February 27th.

WITS NOW has 2 additional drop off locations:
Chesterfield and N. County

ALL electronics with chord or circuit board are accepted FREE of charge, working or not. We even take batteries and appliances.

Working Items will be provided to low income and needy individuals and groups.

Non-working items will be recycled on-site at WITS facility and guarantees nothing goes to landfill.

WITS is donating 100 computers to needy families this holiday season. Please pass the word if you have anything to donate/recycle or if you know of anyone who needs a computer at home.

WITS hits 3 million lbs for 2006

WITS passed a major milestone in 2006. despite 2 moves and the city inspections, we were able to recycle/reuse 3 million lbs.....and we were able to donate/serve computers to over 5000 families, residents and nonprofits.

We increased the type of materials we take and NOW, we even accept office furniture and home equipment(lawn mowers, tools, motores etc)
Please think more, it not just your computer anymore.

WITS has done it. Over 1 Million pounds recycled as of Oct 1.

Businesses, did you know it was illegal to throw your electronics/Computers away?

only 10% of local businesses dont know that it is currently illegal to throw any electronic or computer away.

If a business donated all their surplus/replaced electronics, they could write it off and take care of asset management.

WITS offered DOD standard and HIPPAA standard data removal, appropriate recycling of all nonreusable equipment, and makes sure nothing goes into the landfill.

WITS also offers pickup, and takes all electronics, commercial, industrial equipment.

WITS is an organization who can put your old stuff to good use or recycle it appropriately
You can write off your donation, and get reusable stuff back into the community into the hands of those who cant afford it otherwise/.

Business and residents need to recycle

WITS has reused or recycled over 675,000 pounds of electronics in 2005. 1500 families have received computers and electronics from WITS.
