My promises to you as your wedding officiant are:

I will do everything I can to make sure you feel comfortable with me! Many times couples feel they will be judged because they don’t go to church and don’t want a religious ceremony.

There are no “rules” to follow in order for me to officiate at your ceremony.

My beliefs are my beliefs alone. I encourage everyone to follow their own

journey. Having different ideas of what God means to you, is what individuality and spirituality is all about.

I am very open-minded and flexible.

I give you many choices and options to use in the ceremony. I believe that the more choices you have, the more creative and unique your personalized ceremony will be.

I know I’m not the least expensive officiant around, then again I bet you want a GREAT officiant, not a cheap one! Remember… I can do “a” wedding ceremony, or I can create “your” wedding ceremony!

What is it about Funerals and Memorial Services that make most of us uncomfortable? Is it that we just don’t know what to say to the family who is grieving? Is it that we feel uncomfortable if we start to cry in the presence of friends and family who are already sad?

I believe that our fear comes from thinking we should have all the answers, and that we should know exactly what to say to a grieving friend or family member. How is it that we would know how to react in situations like this, when we live in a society that doesn’t talk freely about death and all the emotions that come with it? Death usually leaves us with more questions than answers, and in its wake of grieving and picking up the pieces, we are left with a myriad of emotions we’re not sure what to do with.

When I first became a Minister, I couldn’t even imagine officiating a funeral or memorial service. I am such a sensitive and emotional person, that I couldn’t visualize myself standing at the podium in a funeral home or chapel delivering a eulogy in front of a sea of tears. But as I have come to terms with my own mortality and realized that through each death I am learning to live my life more passionately and authentically, it has actually given me a sense of peace and understanding that I never even knew existed.

It is so humbling and such an honour for me to be chosen to ‘represent’ the deceased during a Funeral or Memorial service. Upon being informed of the passing of a loved one, I immediately make arrangements to meet with as many family members and friends as I can at one time, so I can gather each person’s ideas and memories. This helps me to create a unique and personal “Celebration of Life”. I do my best to give them the celebration they deserve. Nothing humbles me more than being fully present to portray the meaning and purpose of a loved one’s life; a story that honours them and celebrates their time here on earth.

There are many moments in our lives when we are asked to ‘cross a threshold’ from one state of being to another. This could be a retirement, loss of a job, becoming an empty-nester, moving into a new home or losing a family member or friend.

As a society, we tend to gloss over the events that bring sadness into our consciousness because we simply haven’t been taught how to deal with it. Through Life Transition Celebrations, I can help you to create a moment in time where together with friends and family (if you chose to), you take the step from one reality to another by acknowledging that there has been a shift in your awareness. This means that you are consciously moving forward in your life facing changes and challenges and turning them into unlimited possibilities with your head held high and your heart wide open!

Let me be there to help you put one foot in front of the other and create a unique and meaningful ritual or ceremony. This ritual will mark the end of one way of living and invite the beauty of the Universe’s call for you to ’step up’ into your power and live the life you were meant to live with integrity, vibrancy and most of all authenticity.
