I live in northern India. By end of September dry winds start blowing in north India and are very harsh especially for skin. I was looking forward to invest in some good body wash, moisturizers and lotions to pamper my skin. I wanted to explore a new brand that I have never heard of before because I like experimenting and love to share views with my blog readers. Always Nourish Body Lotion Review – The body lotion is enriched with shea butter, mango butter, cocoa butter and collagen. I am in my early thirties now and I don’t shy away from investing in collagen rich products. Collagen is important in improving skin’s health and prevents from sagging. Brand has claimed that this is a non-sticky and can provide 24 hours nourishment. I have tested this body lotion for more than three weeks before posting the review. I decided to use this body lotion as a face moisturizer because of its non-sticky formulas as I avoid creams because of my oily skin. I didn’t felt need to re-apply any moisturizer on my face throughout the day even in this crazy weather and because of its non-sticky formula my face didn’t look oily. My skin has actually started looking visibly clear, plump, nourished, and most importantly healthy. There is this evenness to my skin that I had never experienced before. After two weeks of using this facial oil, my mom asked me one morning why my face is glowing so much all of a sudden, and this oil was a secret. And I am not kidding here. This actually happened.

And I was so lazy in winters that I didn't use any face mask for straight four weeks in severe winters.

About three weeks back I realized that from past few months I haven’t shopped anything. Hence I sat down and prepared a list of the things that I need. Then next thing I realized was winters are already here and I don’t have any skincare products to take care of my skin. You know sometimes how it happens, that you are thinking of something and next minute you see the product online. Have you ever experienced thing like that? Well I have multiple times and this time I came to know that Meraki has come up with subscription based beauty box recently. Here is what I found in my Meraki Box.

Mermaid Hydro Boost Night Cream – This Biotek India product is enriched with deep sea water and suitable for normal to dry skin. The cream hasn’t been tested on animals, is free of paraben, phosphate and sulfate and comes in recyclable packaging. It’s priced at Rs. 1,080.

Fuschia Under Eye Serum – This Fuschia serum is enriched with cucumber and green tea. This product is the most expensive product in whole box. It comes at a whopping price of Rs. 1,250. Fuschia claims that this under eye serum fades under eye dark circles. I just can’t wait to try this product.

Images Hand Cream – Images is a new brand that I have never heard of before. There are three products from the brand in Meraki Beauty Box. The first one is a hand cream priced at Rs. 199.

Images Bubbles Amino Acid Sheet Mask – The other product is a hydrating sheet mask which is a need in winters. Images products are bit expensive as this one sheet mask is priced at Rs. 399

Images Olive Natural Sheet Mask – This is a natural sheet mask priced at Rs. 299.

I don’t think that I would have bought all these products separately because of their expensive price ranges. Because of Meraki subscription I paid only Rs. 799 for all five products above. Isn’t that great?

We all are going through tough times, thanks to Corona Virus. There were many times when I felt low. To cheer up myself I did some shopping in the month of April. One of my mini shopping haul was from Deyga. I placed order in April but received products in last week of May because courier services for non-essentials like skin care were on hold in Noida (containment zone) amidst lock-down.

I ordered three products from Deyga and after using the products for almost a month I am posting the review of all the three products.

Deyga Lemon Mist Review – Till date I have used face mists, body mists but Deyga Lemon Mist is really a unique product. As per the specifications by the brand, Deyga the mist can be used on skin as well as scalp. This is made of 100% pure steam distilled lemon water. I have tested this product by using the mist on my scalp as well as my face.

Deyga Lemon Mist On Scalp - First and foremost, this was the first mist that can be used for scalp. Secondly it was beginning of June when I started using the mist. June in north India means high humidity with extreme temperature. This kind of weather makes my scalp and hair greasy within a day of washing hair with shampoo. Grease and sweat on scalp can lead to bad smelling hair. And frequent shampoo can damage the hair. So when I came across Deyga Lemon Mist and read about its usage I immediately knew how I am going to use this for my hair care. From past one month, two days later post shampooing my hair, I spray Deyga Lemon Mist on my scalp. I massage gently using my fingertips and leave it for like an hour. After that I wash my hair with plain water. This process has kept my hair smelling fresh for long even without frequent shampooing and I intend on continuing this practice throughout whole summers.

Deyga Lemon Mist On Face – Due to lock-down we all are staying at home and most of the times locked up in ac rooms. Long stay in AC tends to dry out skin. To feel fresh all the time application of cream is not possible especially for oily skin person like me. For me this lemon mist has become a boon. I spray this mist two to three times during the day and then tap dry using my fingers. The natural fragrance of lemon in this mist instantly refreshes my skin. After one month usage the 100 ml bottle is almost over. I will totally recommend this product to all.

Deyga Aloe Vera Gel Review – This is 100% pure natural aloe vera gel. The gel is transparent and has no fragrance at all because Deyga hasn’t mixed anything like color or fragrance in it. The ingredients are aloe barbadensis, aloevera extract, aloe hydrosol.

I am going to review my experience with the esteemed brand not just based on my one month subscription but rather what I have experienced in last four months. Lujo is a Spanish language word that is pronounced as Lu-ho.

Being a finance person it is natural for me to do ROI (return on investment) analysis when I am investing my money in any product.

I am a big time supporter of beauty box subscription from both financial and emotional stand point of view. Let’s go over each aspect.

Financially – I bought four plus one month (five month) subscription plan for which I paid only Rs.3,000 and in past five months I have received all kinds of beauty and skincare products like hair masks, beauty blender, eye liner, body butter, coffee scrub, mineral powder, fragrance, sheet mask, lipstick, eyeshadow. And each month box costed me only Rs. 500. After doing math I have realized that if I would have to buy each of these products separately than I have to shell out more than ten thousand rupees. Financially investing in a subscription box is the best decision and on top of that Lujobox stands out of the crowd. Not only just a profitable investment but also the choice of brands that Lujo Box has given its customers a true luxurious experience.

Emotionally – There are two phenomena that binds women from around the world together one is we love to shop and second we love pampering. Throughout her pregnancy she was dreaming of how she is going to raise her daughter. Whenever she used to go to market she would buy cute hair clips, frocks, socks and various other things that would be helpful when she will have a girl. When Suresh was born his mother wasn’t even tiniest excited about his birth, she was rather sad. Her mother in law, her own mother, neighbors, friends and even Mahesh couldn’t understand why she wasn’t happy. She should rejoice because she had given birth to a son which in itself was a huge deal in India. She didn’t want to feed him so cow milk was ordered for the toddler. She would hardly hold him and once she couldn’t take it anymore she left her house a month later on one dark night silently and no one saw her ever again. It remained a mystery for years that why she left her own infant, husband and a wonderful life behind.

What happened to his mother? What kind of life Suresh lead after his mother left him? He had big dreams but very little support. He wasn't a gifted person who had best of the talent, looks or even luck to have that kind of faith in the most extraordinary thing. Congratulations on winning the title " Ms World Diversity 2018 1st Princess". Tell us about your journey to the title?

My journey started as a housewife. I entered into this field for my two daughters as every mom wants to see a big beautiful crown placed on her daughter's head. I went for the auditions along with them and I came to know that organizers were looking for contestants even for Mrs. Category so my elder daughter ( MISS PRE-TEEN WORLD DIVERSITY ) forced me to go for it. That's how we all three gave auditions and through God's sake we all were selected for the national level and then international and this is how my journey started which I am really proud of.

What was the reaction of your family and friends?

My family was very very happy and proud and my friends & social circle was shocked and surprised at the same time as for them it was a revolution that a house wife turned into model, haha. I have to say that I really enjoyed it, haha.

As a child what you dreamt of becoming ? And after securing the prestigious title what are you planning to do next?

I dreamt of becoming a lawyer but my family was orthodox and I wasn't allowed to go out for further studies and the place where I lived there was no other source of education after graduation. I am a graduate and after winning the title I not only want to do acting and modelling but I am actually using my crown and title for social work and apperarence. My recent goal is to improve the life of the blind children.

Muskan that's very noble cause you are supporting.

How did you parents reacted when you broke the news to them that you want to be a model?

I am from Doctor's family and as I told you before that they were pretty orthodox and very protective of me like most of the parents are. They used to believe that modelling is all about skin show, whereas in real modelling is much more than that. It's a perfect amalgamation of beauty and brains. Initially they were quite unhappy when I broke the news but now they are really happy and proud of their daughter.

Modelling world has become a lot more competitive because of so many people wanting to try their luck. What is that in you that makes you stand out from the rest?

There is a common myth that girl with good looking face and figure is ready for modelling which is not true. Most important thing is right attitude and positive outlook towards life. When I participated lot of other contestants were really desperate for the title which I wasn't. I lived the journey and enjoyed every moment I guess that's why I wore the crown at the end. I wasn't the perfect one, I had my own share of drawbacks but that didn't stopped me from trying hard to make my family proud.

There is a common belief among people that modelling is only for rich kids. What is that you have to say about it?

Yeah somewhat that's true you need money for auditions, costumes, sports wear, heels etc, because appearance matters a lot. The person who gets sponsored is the luckiest but most of doesn't get. But I would suggest don't stop only due to money as we have our own examples who have won against all odds.

Models have to take care a lot about their diet. I have heard that you are into your own customized diets. Tell us about it stating like a diet plan for a given day.

I am doing a dietician course and takes a lot of interest in nutrient and diet plans ever since. This was my father's dream for me to become a renowned dietician.

Here is my diet for a day

Morning - 8 soak nuts and soak dry fruits empty stomach with any fat cutter

Mid day - Any fruit ( seasonal )

Lunch - Salad + sabji + roti + butter milk

Evening - Green tea + any diet snack

Dinner - Salad + soup + sabji / sprouts + roti

Before sleep - Warm water + green tea

Name three foods that you can't stay away from irrespective of your diet

I have my own weaknesses like Ice Cream, kheer and donuts. It becomes really difficult for me sometimes to stay away from my favorite foods.

How do you keep yourself motivated to achieve your goals?

I never give up. I believe in an old saying that try and try and you will succeed. Winning is not important for me, participation & hardwork are more important. When I got injured, doctors told not to wear heels but during pageant competition I wore heels because I am a fighter.

Any piece of advice that you would like to share with a girl who is looking forward to participate in a beauty paegant?

Don't think much, just go for it. Never give up. Success is not much important, its the journey that matters as we have our fair share of lessons to learn from. Queens either wins or learn.

Yes, John Walters understood how I feel. It is true, food has been one of my biggest weaknesses and, to be honest, I think that I have tasted every sort of food there is.

I am not like those people who go to a restaurant, deli or some fast food joint and order the regular things to eat such as Shahi Paneer, Dal Makhni, and all. I distinguish myself as the person who likes to go through a menu and eat that sort of food which he has never even tasted before. Although sometimes this braveness of mine has resulted in some sort of torture, I guess; but, the other times I was undoubtedly in love with the food I had ordered.

We have all been stuck in situations when we had to go to an unfamiliar restaurant, and it becomes a bit skeptical for us to decide if we should order the regular food -You know, the same butter roti, Shahi Paneer and sometimes Chhole loop- or try something new. This dilemma is because we feel scared we might waste the limited money we have and end up washing dishes with an empty stomach.

To those people, who have ever been stuck in this situation, I have a solution. Just ask the waiter to get a dish which the restaurant is proud of. Doing so, not only do the chances of you not liking the food becomes bleak but the chef also takes it on his/her pride and works hard in preparing the dish so that you will not be disappointed. To tell you the truth, I have been trying this food hack for a while now and there have rarely been any moments where it disappointed me.

I have followed this course in food joints like Dominos and Pizza Hut too. Before moving forward, I would like to say that I am a person who loves pizza over any other food in the market except maa ke haath ka khaana. This mist has worked wonders on my skin and I can feel that my skin looks luminous with tis regular usage. Herbs And More Face Mist is the best face mist I have used till date. Herbs And More Vitamin Therapy Professional BB Cream Review – BB cream has SPF 15++ & comes with UV-A & UV-B protection. If you ask me out of all four products which product I prefer the least that it has to be Herbs & More BB cream. I just can’t stand its smell and its muddy color doesn’t suit my skin tone at all. The cream packaging is good and it spreads easily as well but Herbs And More BB cream is just not for me. If I had liked it I would have applied it after using Herbs & More Vitamin Therapy Face Cream.

Herbs And More Vitamin Therapy Face Cream Review – The face cream is white in colour with thick consistency. The cream has the familiar fragrance to few other Herbs And More products. For my oily skin it was bit greasy so I decided to use just a drop and mix it with my regular cream. For dry skin people Herbs And More Face cream is amazing as my sister used it (her skin is super dry) and she loved it. This cream won't do any wonders to your skin but is good in keeping your skin soft, nourished and visibly bright for long time in dry weather. This cream is priced at Rs. 245 for 60gm
