Well I got back from the new Green Lantern movie and it was great. I thought it did the Green Lantern series justice and laid the ground work for movies that will probably follow it, but I won't spoil anything. However no matter how good I think it was especially compared to Superman Returns, DC still has a ways to go in my opinion before they catch up to how great the Marvel movies have gotten in the past few years. Comparisons aside it was a great movie.

Onto more content matters. The second episode of the podcast was recorded a day late and I'll hopefully have it edited and uploaded after some father's day celebrations. Speaking of the podcast after the poll it has been decided that sometime soon we will start out second podcast Toku Time (based off of Sentai, Kamen Rider, and Power Rangers) and welcome it to the fledgling Geek Talks Radio Networks. As always guys thanks for reading and I'll talk to you guys later.

Oh one more thing. On the topics of reviews hopefully I'll have the time to finally add the number of reviews that I want to. Anyway guys as I said, I'll talk to you later.

RvB Season 9 Episode 1

Hey guys The Geek here and HOLY SHIT just finished watching the first episode of Season 9 of Red vs. Blue over on Rooster Teeth and OH MY GOD it kicks ass. It seemed to go back to the comedy of the original seasons of the Blood Gulch Chronicles that I feel for the most part was missing in the more recent seasons to go a more plot focused route, even though Blood Gulch had a very good over arching plot it was more comedy to me, while still maintaining that plot focus shown at the end. Now I won't put any spoiler but it seems like this is going to be a good story. Stay tuned guys because a review or two will be posted before the day is over. Alright guys well that's it and I'll talk to you later.

Once again, the dynasty of the Geek had returned. I'm back at the keyboard and camera and I'm starting to give you guys the content I promised, however for the next couple weeks it could be sporadic until AP testing is over. I do have the Jazz review that I was working on but I don't really feel like finishing that one at the moment since he is still hard to find in my area, and I don't want to review it until it is possible for people around me who want it can readily go and get it. But, what I am going to post hopefully this weekend along with some other stuff are four reviews of the four Animated figures I own, give me a break a I had a time where I wasn't buying. So stay tuned for those. And I'll talk to you guys soon

The Geek here, and guys I'm sorry that I'm not posting what I wanted to today. I felt like I should take to day to take a breather for the rest of the week. I spent today reading some of the 800+ comics I received from a friend of the site and the comics have various content.

I'll be posting reviews of them in probably chunks of 3-5 issues at a time and I think it will fill up one of the empty day slots that I have, but since I just got them I'll give you guys a Sunday Extravaganza with a preview of some of the series I have. Here is what I have to read from.
His paint decal on the hood changed from a flame patter that looked like bird wings into a tribal flame scheme that still to me resembles something of a bird. He rolls well and his missiles are used as piping in vehicle mode. Besides the flames he is mostly a blue that is a good amount darker than my camera makes it look, it's more of a smokey blue color. He also has red tail lights and a gray grill. All of his windows are made of dark translucent plastic.
However, the original toy had this and I can't gripe about it because it's the best that could have been done with this except maybe allow the winds to raise up other wise the fold out lower than the car and I had to use my Action Replay under the front of the hood to hold it level. Here the missiles attach to the back on top of a panel that flips over to show pegs that plug into the under side of the missiles. The wings unfold from the doors and are white with red on the front edge. This mode is god and it does well to represent the original version of this, with modern improvements but like I said is lacking the ability to raise the wings.
The transformation to robot mode is a great reinvention of the G1 transformation and there is enough possible variation in the steps that would allow a different instruction set for the newly released Wheeljack retool. His main color is obviously the blue from vehicle mode which I love, he adds a bit of gray with his thighs and black for the shins with red highlight strips off to the. He also has a few strange paint apps using a lustrous metallic green on the sides of the chest and on his, well, crotch area. The wheels rotate forward to become a sort of shoulder armor covering most of his white biceps. His forearms are, like the shins, black plastic with red highlights and his hands are molded as slightly open. His wings become very prominent giving him a twist to the usual car robot and really speak for his character and the missiles attach onto a panel that folds out to connect the remaining rear bit of the car to his back. And his gun which was in his "trunk" folds out to become mostly black with a good Hasbro silver paint app that I have come to love. Speaking of loving something I love his head sculpt. His face sits into a white sort of futuristic knight helmet with a visor just above his eyes. His face gives a sort of smug look perfect for Tracks that is painted red and has dark blue light piping for his eyes.

Articulation: He has around 24 actual point of articulation with 2 extra points due to transformation. In the arms he has good unrestricted shoulders, a bicep swivel, double jointed elbows and rotating wrist. The shoulder also have an extra point that allows them to be raise up in a sort of shrugging motion. his head is on a good ball joint that is slightly hindered from how deep the joint is in his head and because of the helmet sculpting. He has a waist joint that is surprisingly unhindered by by the roof of the car sing it has a joint that allows the roof to raise up. In the legs he has ball jointed hips, single jointed knees, a knee rotation, his toes are ball jointed, his fee can swing forward, and his heel parts are on ball joints. The double ball joint in the feet allow some good wide legged posing for some good action stances if you take the change to fiddle with.

Wrap-up: Just like Tracks does, I love this figure. He has an excellent vehicle mode, a good "third mode", and a superb vehicle mode. The blue that make up the main part of his color pallet is simple gorgeous and I love it, and it looks great especially in vehicle mode because from a decent distance it looks almost matte which is a cool texture to the vehicle mode. So I'm please to say that RTS Turbo Tracks gets 10 cocaine bears out of 10.

The Geek here, just dropped by for a quick chat. Well it's Tuesday and that means a new Geek Review will be up. I'm in the midst of writing it up now, and it is for RTS Turbo Tracks. It's coming along well and depending on when I decide to eat it should be up around 7 p.m. central time. As of today I'm taking down the poll and putting a new one out that will run for a couple of days, and I would really like you guys to answer it. I have three guys in mind to work on it with and one of them is for sure in I just have to talk to the other two, but I'm sure they'll be up for it and if it works out will take up one of the weekend postings. Anyway I'll be off now doing some geek stuff.

To The Geek Cave

Later Everybody,

The Geek here, sorry but I don't have anything for you guys today. I unfortunately didn't have time to record any audio, but what I want to try for a couple of weeks is Minecraft Mondays. I'll play some Minecraft and record it, and when it's all said and done I'll put in some audio. The audio can be music or just me ranting on what is going on and stuff. I might put up a late post showing what it's gonna be like. So tomorrow will be possibly what was gonna be today's post and a Geek Review. And the figure will be drum roll please......................................................................................................Reveal The Shield Turbo Tracks. So guys thats all for today. I'll talk to you guys tomorrw.

The Geek here once again to give you another review. This time it will be for Generations Deluxe class Darkmount/Straxus. His figure name is Darkmount, but he is an homage/straight up toy for the Decepticon Lord Straxus. Straxus is a Decepticon who serves as Lord High Governor of the Polyhex region and rules from his fortress Darkmount, which give name to the toy, he is noted for throwing enemies into the smelting pools and being brutal with his battle axe. His most famous quote is "Mercy is not dispensed here, fools... only death!".

Straxus' vehicle mode is based on a South African G6 self propelled howitzer, however it is modified into a half track instead of the 6-wheeled chasis. His main color is a darker blue than my camera makes out in the pictures, with gray bits as well as silver paint for the treads, windows, and lights and has a bronze color for the missiles and mid-front.Vehicle mode lacks many paint apps but makes up for it in molded detail all around from rivets and bolts to simple lines that help the look a-lot.
It has handles that can be held in 5mm hands with open figures, however there aren't any that have been released with hands like that except for Straxus, and the Skullgrin repaint. There isn't much change from vehicle mode except the arms are now visible.

In robot mode Straxus is great, and he has a good transformation. In a reverse of usual transformation the turret becomes his legs instead of the arms, with the arms being folded up into the tread are which becomes a backpack. He retains the colors from vehicle mode, but gains alot of red highlights in the form of the triangles all over his body and his forearms. The wheels from vehicle mode also disappear for robot mode by being folded up into his chest which is a plus for me aesthetically. His head sculpt is a different look than what most are used to and looks more like a helmet than a face, but is good none the less and uses the bronze from his center chest/stomach for the eyes.

Articulation is good he has around 26 point of articulation, with 7 points alone being in each arm. In the arms the shoulder connection to the main body is on a hinge and that hinge is attached to a ball joint in the arm, under that is an upper bicep swivel that leads to the elbow hinge with another hinge in the for arms that allow the arms to better rotate inward towards the body. The arms are topped off with ball jointed wrists and slight rotations for the fingers. His lower body keeps up the articulation with a waist swivel, ball jointed hips, knee swivels, knee hinge, and ball jointed ankles. On my figure the ankle joints and knees are a bit loose and make good poising a little finicky. But the articulation still allows Straxus to hold his axe/pick axe with both hands across his chest.
As well he comes with 3 3mm clip system weapons, these being a machine gun, a smoke grenade launcher, and a missile spam pod. At the deluxe price point Straxus is a good way to get clip weapons for all the figures with the right clip points such as the newly release Reveal the Shield Voyager Lugnut who has many clip points available in both of his modes.

Final Wrap-up: Straxus is a great figure, and interesting vehicle mode, a so-so battle station mode, and a great robot mode. He has some of the best clip weapons and as I said if you just want clip weapons, pick his up and keep the figure as a bonus. However despite the praise I have to with hold a few points because of ankle problems, which are hope fully limited to my figure only, and the so-so battle station mode that could have been left out as a feature and given as a fan mode. But never the less he is great and earns 9 out of 10 of this weeks rating system which is the famous cocaine Bear. So Darkmoun/Straxus gets 9 out of 10 cocaine bears.

The Geek here bringing you a bit of an update. A replacement review for DOTM Preview Optimus will be up soon, and it is for Generations Darkmount/Straxus. And after a quick trip around town I stopped at Best Buy with my dad and got a new T.V. and set it up, also while I was out I stopped at Target and picked up two figures who I have been searching for since Christmas: RTS Jazz and Tracks. I think these guys will be my Tuesday and Thursday reviews, tell me which one should be first.

It's your favorite geek here with a quick weekend update. First I want to apologize for the delay of the Dark of the Moon Preview Optimus Prime, it will be on hold for a bit because my figure has a bit of a problem with it. So in replacement I'll pick a random figure for review that will be up today or tomorrow depending on my schedule. Speaking of schedule, I've decided on a schedule for reviews and what nots. As of now Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will be grab bag things until I decide what content to put there, but there will be posts these days. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be my review days which will be anything from Transformers to Legos. And lastly the weekends will be random things, however unlike the grab bag days which I will experiment with different content, the weekends will always be random things from reviews to rants. So have a wonderful weekend and I'll talk to you guys again soon.

Good afternoon it's the Geek here, just dropped in to say a few things. Firstly, the review for the preview Optimus should be up tonight. Secondly I want to thank all of the people who have been reading the few posts that I have and would appreciate you guys putting the word out to your friends, because with more viewers I can do more stuff. Lastly I decided to take off the old poll because I'm done with the main portion of Pokemon White, I could however play a rom of Black if you guys wanted. Leave comments if you do. And on that note a new poll is up. If there are other shows you guys would like me to review I will try to see if I can. I might start doing weekly posts giving options on a random show to review so leave a comment as well if you guys would like that.

As always this is the Geek signing off and I'll talk to you guys later.
