I guess we are lacking of inspiration and motivation? Maybe we can do something to lift up our spirit again? Or maybe we just close this website and move on?

I think RMBP should make another meeting and discuss about this issue - either to continue or stop??

Miss you guys so much.

XOXO
curryegg

Public Affection

Public Affection

WARNING: The article below may contain highly unerotic materials which may offend certain minority. Do not read if you may find yourself unduely insulted for reading this.

Now that's what I call Monkey Love

Well, as usual, I give credits to people whom I read their blogs. Aaron Sim has never fail to amuse me with his... conventional relationship material which he picked up somewhere, I guess. (His credits go to Stephanie Eldred) And as the usual, with a lil' twist of fate, some sugar and spice, everything might turn up a bit nicer than before.

Public affection has been in store long before the time our parents was even born. So heck, don't expect me to go long-winded on the history, since I'm never good at it. Every people has an opinion of his/her own regarding public affections, whether if they are appropriate, or they are just mind-blowing actions.

I do agree that, in someplace, sometime ago, you and your significant other might value the opportunity to hold hands as an after-marriage act. Kissing is reserved for the first wedding night for fear of pregnancy, and hugging can only be done when the wife gives birth to the firstborn. Well, ancient, isn't it, given the lack of biological knowledge at that time? Perhaps, we could go to the other extreme where you make out with your lover everyday without fail, more than the number of meals you had each day. And yeah, premarital sex is no longer an option for these modern couples. It is a MUST, 3 times daily.

With such a wide range of difference, it is rather hard to strike the notch of balance.

Mathematically speaking, try for the 'mean', within 1 standard deviation, such that you'll be able to please at least 68% of the public population.

Medically speaking, avoid sexually transmitted diseases (STD's).

I've stumbled upon this COOL meter, which was kinda amusing, in fact:

Hands Holding - Cool meter 9/10

"Grabbing your girl’s or guy’s hand in public, whether to get him/her in the right direction or just to feel ‘attached’ is fine in any setting, well except those that I see on campus where a couple hold hands and walk in a distance of say .. 10 meters. Well it isn’t intimate enough to make people around you to feel uncomfortable but it’s nevertheless good enough to make your partner feel the status of ‘couple’."

YM's remark:
I find no reason to get him/her in the right direction or just to feel attached. This reason for dependency is unjustified. Your significant other is no blind man/lady. Well, unless you're steering your man from looking at the hot chick across the road or steering your lady from the mega sales. But that's another different story.

Hold because you feel like it, and release when your hands are bound to be busy, especially when you're on the road. Just because there aren't reports doesn't mean that it never causes accidents. Believe me, they do. The last thing you want to do is to harm your innocent backseat passengers.

Kissing - Cool meter 7/10 (within limits)

"“Hey there!”… and then you give a kiss is totally fine in standard relationships. Obviously not when you are in a professional environment and vary in situation. Keep it simple and brief in the public. Don’t get into all that continues tongue action and arse grabbing throughout the course. "

YM's remark:
A peck on the lips, cheeks or forehead is fine in public as you are on the go. Lips smacking in public? Save it for your wedding day or your farewell.

Tongue action should be left in private, since no one is going to love watching drooling sight of deep kissing. Watching a head in the mouth due to deep kissing is the last sight one might consider. Or not at all.

Do practise at home in front of the mirror if you intend to perform in public. The public appreciates good art, and also able to differentiate art from baboon love-making session. And remember to keep your hand off limits in public. You might be fined for straying into forbidden territories.

Love Declaration - Cool Meter - 1/10

"You are not reading a war and peace protocol in the UN meeting center. What you see in the movies and television is does not work as how it should be in real life. In Chinese movies, they go… “Ah Mei … Wo Ai Ni! ~ “yelling at the top of his lungs smack in the middle of a mall. (get the picture?) Nope you can’t do that. These 3 words are reserved in the most highly emotional moments and should remain private between the 2 of you. And it is done naturally and smoothly with no added introduction statement and further conclusion statement. It’s only within the earshot of your partner when you let loose the 3 words."

YM's remark:
Just like any declaration made, there isn't any fulfilled. You do not want to send the wrong message, do you? A simple assurance of "I Love You" in private would be short but sweet.Nothing fancy should be tried unless your significant other attempts at seeking public attention. There might be success when it is done at the right time, right place, and for the right occasion including on how did you do it. Just avoid shrieking your voice when you are shouting at the top of your lungs. Therefore, save yourself from such embarassment. Doing it in private would be less challenging and sweet to most guys/girls.

“Hey HunnyBunnySnukumWukum “- Cool Meter 1/10

"What happens at home stays at home. The last thing anyone needs to know is that your lady calls you her Hello Kitty and you calling her your little piggy. Even so the ’sweetheart’ and ‘baby’ and my favorite line ‘yes darling’, try to keep it a low usage when you are out with your friends. So calm yourself down and avoid calling your significant other ‘hotty’ or ’sexy’."

YM's remark: I must admit, sometimes it does make your hair stand if you're a bystander. Well, unless if that's your intention afterall. Such general name-calling might result in others responding to your "darling" call as well.

Hands in My Pocket” - Cool meter 4/10 (are you sure?)

"I have seen this sight a couple of times. Particularly around Central market and parks. During our high school days, walking around and putting your hand around her waist into her back pocket is a sign of your couple status. Then again, that was 5-10 years ago. Nowadays, I don’t think you would want to invade your girl’s space, it just… tacky and pathetic."
YM's remark:
I've seen this all the time, particularly among young adults rather than high school days. To me, it is more of convenience. It leaves your partner's hands free to tend to other matters, as in shopping, u lil' pervy. Again, it's a matter of choice of the individual. I do not find myself offended at all, if you ask me. Just don't start grabbing or you might find a mark on your face.

CONCLUSION:
Again, I would like stress that I was really amused by the COOL meter because it causes more confusion. Affection, is not meant for public, but for each other. Take a drama class if you crave for attention. Don't attempt to be cool and start making stupid moves just to impress others. Do not be bothered by the COOL meter, as love could not be judged by numbers. Affection is an art, and beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. No fret, my friend. Do whatever you fancy, but do be considerate and think of others as well.

THE END

I'm a MURDERER!!!!

OMG! It's true. I admit that i'm a murderer. I hope that YOU won't tell the cops or hand me over to them. I admit that what i did was wrong. You know, people keep messing up in life,by doing something stupid,by buying things they do not use, i also did something stupid,by committing MURDER!!

I'm so scared right now. I'm being paranoid. I look out the window every 5 minutes. I only pick up the phone after it rang for 2 minutes. I don't go out. I haven't talked to anyone. Everytime i see a patrol car passing by, my heart stopped and i would jump and hide, even in the longkang. I just blog about what i've done. Nobody knows yet about the murder. Why I tell this on my blog? Just because,NONE of you know me.

I'm a murderer. I took a life away. I cut a life short. What do i have to do now?! I killed a SNAIL. A young one. A baby snail. Crushed, under my cheap ASADI sandal. It’s time for “monster kill”, you should know this term if you play D.O.T.A.

1. Phone call

No doubt SMS is very much cheaper than a phone call yet there are times when SMS (text) cannot take the place of a phone call. I believe most of you know what SMS (text) means; it is an acronym for short text messages. At times of urgency I really hate those who insist to talk over a matter via text just because they wanted to save some on call rates.I know a few friends who when needed my help very much texted me to request for some assistance.

Take for instance, there was this friend of mine who once texted me to request me to give him a ride from the bus station to our University at the time of arrival. I had received neither prior notice nor do I had any idea he was going to arrive on that day. His text sounded very much like a demand so I decided not to give him a ride though I was free at that moment. If he would give me just a call to ask whether I was free to give a ride in a polite manner, I will most likely consider his request even though I may be busy. Okay, you might say I would behave differently if that person was a lady. Mind you, my answer will still be a “no”. No matter what, the beauty of our voice cannot be replaced by pictures or words. Do remember that. Not many people can interpret our feelings via texts but most people will be able to tell from our voice.

Principle #1: When urgent, give a call; other than that, SMS will do.

2. Blog

Blogs were not that common back then. Among my graduated friends I am one of the earliest to blog, correct me if I am wrong. But today, more and more people maintain their own blogs. Blogs have been an item of today and something most people own. It’s a place where people express their opinions or bloat out their feelings or simply just to inform others their current state of life.

Most bloggers draw motivation through comments leaved by their peers or friends, while some on the traffic they got, while some from online advertisements. One fact which we human cannot escape from is the human touch. Individuals might have different reasons as to why they blog, but the most important thing we human seek for is to receive attention from others. Most of the time, you will kill your friends off when you had not been visiting their blogs for ages or had not posted any comments on their blogs. At least, that is what I think. Am I right?

Principle #2: Give and take when it comes to blogging. Post and receive comments to let others know you care for them.

3. Internet social network

Internet social network services have been growing like mushrooms lately. I myself joined friendster and facebook. I see them as a great way to track my friends’ birthdays and updates. I created my homepage and included all those relevant information which I in my humble opinion can be shared. The most I could leak out is my IM (i.e. Windows Live Messenger) ID and email, other than that other means to contact me will not be shared online.

Internet social network is a way for us to make new friends and to keep in touch with old buddies. The heck is, there appears to be some unknown fellas who came out of nowhere and insisted to add me even though I do not know them. There were many occasions when I received an “Add New Friend Request” from someone I do not know. Most of the time I will approve the request if the fella meets two simple criteria: firstly, we have met each other; secondly, for those who I have not met he/she gave a brief introduction about themselves.

Simple as that, but most people failed to provide such courtesy. The last time I did a spring cleaning to my friendster account was one year ago. What I did was I deleted all those comments with distracting sound/music. Now, I am thinking of performing a spring cleaning by deleting some of the contacts who either had not been active or those who are just passer-bys. Okay, you may think that I am a cruel person. The thing is, how am I supposed to keep track of my 422 friends in my account? It is not that each and every one of them is alive.

Principle #3: Remember to introduce yourself if you would like to make friend with someone.

That's all for today. A dormant of two weeks time is good for us to come out with something brilliant.

How Easy To Being A Romantic

It's time to strike and yessssss, it’s me again and my controversial post about relationships. Well, you know that I love to talk about these stuffs and giving my opinions on the term relationship, but I really don’t know why some people like to say that I was the one involved.

You know, sometimes being in love is not really hard, the problem comes when you try to be romantic. Yes, many couples have different meanings of being romantic and girls especially *psstt.. don’t kill me just yet, read on…* This is because most girls read novels and most of them are love novels. It’s evident even when I was studying in high school, some of them bring these novels to school and read them. To me, I think it’s their fantasy trying to be swept off their feet.

I am now trying to tell you being romantic doesn’t need to be practiced. It should come natural. Well, but because not everyone is a natural, I can give you some pointers that I got from a website, which is an online dating site or from any other sites, but of course some of you would rather me telling you more from my personal point of view. Just a point I should point out, basically for guys, don’t get pressured at seeing what other people can do. Just be yourself and most importantly be a gentleman. DON’T go rehearsing Shakespeare poems to present when you can’t and do the extreme if you can’t afford it. It’ll be romantic to do it at least once, but by then you’ll be thinking of what other romantic stuffs to do, instead of being your natural self. If you don’t believe me, you just have to see for yourself.

If you’re just trying to be romantic to be in a relationship, you’re doing it all for the wrong purpose. This is what I call romance should not be taken lightly. Maybe due to my analysis, girls would love surprises from their boyfriends out of the blue, but constantly doing it, bores them. Well, not to say you should stop but it’s good to let them treasure the romantic feel for a longer time before the guy give them another romantic feel. Sometimes little stuffs, like buying flowers, that’s all it takes. Trust me, girls love flowers, even a single stalk sometimes can mean so much. *hint hint*

Well, basically this is just my personal opinion, well, you can give me more opinions and girls you can have your definition of romantic, maybe let the guys pick up a point or two. Well, we learn by doing this, so what say you all?

On Flowers and Beautiful Girls

On Flowers and Beautiful Girls

Hey ya'll!

So, when is a girl "sweet" and when is she "beautiful"?
Here's the scenario

You see this girl walking down the street. She's wearing a white dress and her hair hangs loosely about her head like a shiny halo. She is humming a happy song as she walks along. As she passes the gardens of her neighbours, she stops to sniff the flowers and smiles to herself. "What a beautiful day!" she says.

Okay now here's the question; Was she "sweet" or "beautiful" ?

Now to be completely honest, this question is not rhetorical. Not to me...nor to you because really we all have our own perceptions of "beauty" and "sweetness". Still, perhaps I should attempt at another analogy to make my point clear.

Let us take, flowers for example. A flower's beauty is usually defined by the composition of its petals and its colour. Flowers with 5 petals or less and are composed of only one colour are most often deemed "common" (jasmines etc.) while flowers which have an elaborate petal composition, usually painted with more than one colour or a shade of one colour are normally depicted as "beautiful" (orchids etc.)

Still, if you know flowers like I do, I suppose you know that most of the beautiful flowers do not have a fragrance! (there is a VERY simple reason to this; flowers that rely on colour to attract insects do not have any need for fragrance).

Flowers like Orchids with magnificent colours and elaborate petals are very aesthetically pleasing. There is something in the flow of the orchid's petals and its tone that create a rather exotic, and yet gracefully feminine posture (if you really love a woman! Give her an Orchid!) that is simply breathtakingly beautiful!

The beauty of an orchid in full blood is usually rather breathtaking

On the other hand, "common" flowers like Jasmines are really nothing to look at. With their simplye white colour and basic five-petal composition, jasmines are really nothing to gawp about. And yet, to close one's eyes and walk by a Jasmine bush, and let its fragrance sweep over yourself on a warm breeze...kinda gives the feeling like anyhting (even true love!) is possible!

The simple Jasmine perhaps boasts a fragrance most famous in the floral kingdom

Now if you will recap the instance of the Orchid and the Jamine, and try to put it into the context of a girl, perhaps it is not so difficult to see the difference between "sweetness" and "beauty" . The Orchid is beautiful and it pleases the EYES, while the Jasmine, forall its simplicity is aesthetically pleasing to the soul! Still you cannot help but notice that "beautiful" flowers, once dead, are often forgotten, whereas the fragrance of "sweet" flowers stay in one's mind for much longer.

Of course I am only using seperate flowers for illustrative purposes...to make the analogy all the more easier to understand.

It is indeed very possible for a girl to be BOTH beautiful and sweet. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.”

“You see my son,” said God, “the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides.”

It’s a tear for humanity.

[Random] It's Alive

Original Art: Ixidor, Reality Sculptor
Artist: Kev Walker

Prevenience

Ensconced in my cushy desk chair and looking fixedly at the title of my blog, I realised that i haven’t really written anything introspective to justify my use of the words “labyrinth of thoughts” and Introspection. I always believe that words should not be chosen in a spurt of vanity as part of the blog title but rather, they should be used to serve as an indication of the type of content that is archived within the blog.

Hence, i reckoned that i should start archiving my musings, no matter how ludicrous or callow they are. If there are any readers who happen to chance upon my blog, do take my musings with a pinch of salt and other condiments you fancy.

***

Although im generally a deferential and accommodating person ( and many people can attest to that), there is one particularly thing that will never fail to tick me off.

And that is being ignored by people whom i thought i was important to.

I contemplated about the source of the catalysis of my eventual chagrin and i came to an eventual conclusion that perhaps, i crave for attention like many others and am simply acerbated by the notion that the significance of my existence is ebbing away. Instead of pledging vendetta against those who has ignored me, i tried to swap perspectives with these people and inquire into the source of my growing inadequacy. And i came to a very dismal conclusion.

I am just not important enough for people to invest their attention in. And i realised that i am not so much different from them.

Humans belong to the animal kingdom after all and when placed in an increasingly competitive society that is a microcosm of the predator-hunts-prey natural wildlife environment out there, innate survival instincts surface.

For eg. people invited to a social event will pick the most interesting and influential person to talk to in hope that they can augment the progress of their lives and interests and climb a notch higher in the social ladder. By talking to the Mr Influential, people also deny others the chance to socialise with him and this is akin to climbing up the social ladder and removing the rungs along the way. The faster one climbs, the faster one can emerge at the top of the “food chain” and claim the rewards of his efforts.

This is true even in everyday interactions with people and is not only exclusive to social events.

“Why should i reply this Mr Moronic’s SMS when i should be saving my SMSes for Mr-I-so-wanna-get-his-attention-so-that-i-can-get-promoted? In fact its not that i do not want to waste my SMSes but rather, by replying to his SMS, im augmenting his delusion that i am keen to invest my attention and time in him. So yeap, the next best thing to ask him to sod off is to well, don’t reply.”

This train of thought is by no means congruent in the people who has ignored me and has sent me a strong signal that i should just get out of their lives and preferably, help them get out of mine too. But i daresay that their train of thoughts rests somewhere on the very same spectrum when they decided to ignore me.

Detractors argue that perhaps there may be unforeseen circumstances involved that resulted in them being unable to communicate with me effectively at that point of time and as a rational and reasonable human being with a self-sufficient level of intelligence and emotional quotient, i do take that point into consideration as well. However, it’s their lack of initiative to explain why they ignored me that sent those signals to inform me that i should just sod off and carry on with life with or without their presence whatsoever.

Nevertheless no matter how it seems like it, this is not an incessant diatribe against these people because every homosapien or even animal is bound to behave in such a manner due to the very fact that attention is a scarce resource.

The scarcity of attention is the very foundation of the Theory of "Relativity" in Human Relationships. In a group conversation of three, one cannot converse simultaneously with two people at the same time and hence, one has to rank and choose a person to talk to first based on how worthy that person is of his attention relative to the other person. People whom we deem more important and worthwhile of our investment of attention due to a multitude of factors such as looks, talent, wealth and personal interests make us more keen to accede to their most farcical request or to even influence them to invest their attention in us, relative to the rest of the human population which is just wallpaper.

I’ve read an article that says that attention is like a transaction whereby when A has accepted B’s attention, A is also obliged to offer its attention to B. Perhaps by ignoring other people’s SMSes for example, it is an indication that we do not accept their attention and hence there would be no need for us to offer our own time and attention to them as well.

However, what people have overlooked is the process of offering one’s attention to others.

Shouldn’t one’s effort and time in crafting an SMS message be awarded with at least a reply, even if the reply says “SOD OFF and JUST DIE! Bitch!” ? At least that person would be able to know that she is no longer important in the guy’s life and should just move on with life and drop any further plans to invest her feelings or attention in him, instead of waiting endlessly and having delusions about the deformed relationship.

Even if that guy just so happened to be caught up in tragedy whereby his mother’s friend’s father’s pet kitten died when it fell into a strawberry patch, he should still take the initiative to explain his lack of reply the moment he has recovered from his intense grief. Otherwise it just shows that he reeks of irresponsibility and discourtesy.

Which is why i’ve always tried my best to reply an SMS message that demands my reply and have always replied to people’s comments/tags on this blog because i believe that i should always reciprocate the time and effort spent by others to invest their attention in me. Its really a basic principle. No more, no less.

As humans, the primacy of self has made us demand respect and attention whenever we are expected to offer them to others as well. If people were to deny us respect and courtesy, we would find it entirely equitable to reciprocate in the same manner.

Should a person ignore his friend’s SMS messages from time to time, his friend would eventually do the same to him and his level of importance to his friend would no doubt be diminished very rapidly.

Humans in general, have vulnerable egos that they seek to protect and hence, when their egos’ are threatened, they will defend it offensively by withdrawing their observation of the conventions of good manners too. The consequence of this is misunderstandings that will spiral into the vicious circle of petty hatred.

Hence, only by being generous and sensitive to the basic emotional needs of our fellow human beings will such a consequence be hampered from materialising.

Shall The Women Pick Up the Bill?

I came across with this article "Pay Your Half, Princess!" in the CLEO magazine from the his say session and found it interesting.

It's about should the girls pay the bill or at least pay half during dates? Matt, the writer has brought up an interesting point :

"If the women are equal, how come men pick up so many bills?"

You pay for the movie.
You pay for meals.
You pay for the clothes that she like.
You pay for the parking tickets.
You pay everything!

Hey guys.

Is this sounds true to you?
Do you agree it?

You start paying bill for your first dates...

Until you're married and old... and you still have to pay for the bills?
Sound true uhh?

Well, this sounds true to me since in this 21 century we, the females get the same opportunity with the males in most aspects including education, job, status and etc. Unlike in those days where sexual discrimination was so strong (I think it's still happening in some countries). Women were being treated like slaves. They didn't have the freedom to do things they like and worst, they even lost their dignity.

Hey! Stop that!

Lucky for me that I am not in those days where the gap between the status of men and women is so big. Now we get the right to stop gender discrimination. And STOP the sexual harassment cases as well! Eerr..... ;(

Since we're equal to men now, I think I still can effort to foot the bills (if I am working), sometimes. Honestly, I don't mind to pay. I think this is fair to both couples. Besides, the men's burden on financial can be reduced since they have to pay for two persons for each date.

We will kindly pay for it.

Anyway, if I ever come across with a guy/guys who expect me to pay for them all the time during dates (which I call it as roles-shifting), I believe it will be my last date with him. No matter how strong a woman is in todays world, we still need a man to pamper us, love us, take care of us, support us and be a gentleman. Well, I don't mean that the guy should take all the responsibility for the person he dates with. Just try your best. And you can tell us your situation. I believe we will understand it and will go to the hawker stall for meals instead of Secret Recipe or Chilis.

Sometimes, guy's ego is too high. They are afraid of telling the true. As the result, girls hardly understand their mates. So, it's better if the guy can discuss with the girl in a good way regarding with his financial burden. And girls! We should take care of our partner's purse. Or else... you know the consequences.

You're partner is so stress. NOT THE SAME. Boy, the people working in the subtitle department really know how to spoil a good movie title. Not that I'm saying BM sucks completely, but according to the BM rules, you don't translate Kata Nama Khas (I forgot the English coutnerpart). Which more or less means that everyone working in the subtitles department needs to go back to primary school to learn about the rules of BM once again.

Like, there was this once a dramatic movie opened to the title,

The Day After Tomorrow

Then the subtitles read .... Lusa.

Eh, hello, damn potong steam can?

I know they probably have the best interest for doing so, perhaps to enlighten those who don't know English what the movie title is.

But let's face it. Who the hell is gonna watch a movie which they have no idea what the fuck the title means? Besides, let everyone (those who don't speak it much, anyway) practice their English once in a while la! It's bad enough some people hardly speak the oh-so-important language these days, now you wanna discourage them some more ah?

What's that you say? Those who don't even know a single word of English to begin with? Well, who ask those retards tak belajar baik-baik in school.

I mean, if we're gonna translate the Kata Nama Khas of movies, why just stop there? Might as well go translate EVERYTHING, right?

1 Utama = Utama Satu

MidValley Megamall = Pusat Membeli-belah Besar Lembah Tengah

*in English-to-BM translations, usually the order is reversed e.g. fried chicken = ayam goreng, not goreng ayam

Or heck, why just stop at shopping mall names? Let's REBRAND the stores too!

Kentucky Fried Chicken = Ayam Goreng Kentucky

Sushi King = Raja Sushi

Nose = Hidung

Forever 21 = 21 Selama-lamanya

Dome = Kubah

Gap = Jurang

Guess = Cuba Teka

TGIF (Thank God It's Friday) = Oh Tuhan Syukurlah Ia Hari Jumaat

mr postman

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR UNIQUE VISITORS (HITS) WITHOUT TAKING UP TOO MUCH TIME OF YOUR BUSY LIFE!

1. Build your reputation to eventually become someone like Kenny, Ringo or Joyce! Of course it's not easy, but God made everyone special in a different way, you just probably haven't realised it yet.

Okay fine maybe you already know how special you are but

It's true lor. Gotta put that uniqueness of yours to good use! Let's say you're sarcastic by nature - you just need to blog the way you talk/express your sarcasm and it should work some mojo! Then again there's always haters.. some who can't take sarcasm, but isn't that life? So find your talent and work it :D

2. Okay now that I've got your attention - you should NOT try too hard to get your hits! I mean blogging is a form of self-expression. Why blog just to become a 'pro blogger'? There is so much more to blogging than just being known for your blogging. After having this blog for a few years but only to become a bit more active blogging this year has taught me some stuff.

People DO read your blog. Even if it's mouldy. With dust and cobwebs. wth? No seriously, people DO read your blog because these people actually care for you and but they can't be possibly calling you every week to ask how you're doing right? Imagine those friends from overseas wei! Thank God for the wonders of the Internet!

3. This may sound like a rant, but I recall Kenny stating the reason for starting his blog was for self-discovery. Beyond the earnings and the unique visitors and hits, blogging has allowed us to experience different parts of life never before ventured.

I wish to continue but I'm dam hungryla. Brb guys.

Funeral

Funeral..a topic considered taboo by many..and why am i talking about it now..coz i had just attended one on Sunday..

Indian funeral always been something i dread to attend...not because of having the pressure of meeting all my relations there..it is because the way it is being conducted...and no..i am not only talking about the traditional ceremony..i am talking about the conduct of people attending the funeral as well..

Well..in this particular funeral which i attended..things became were rather chaotic when an elderly woman came to the scene...oh boy...screaming the dead man's name from the road itself!! Can you imagine that? yea..we all sad when someone passed away..but then, i can't find any logic behind her frantic screams..The minute she entered the funeral house..she began to single out each and every people there as not visiting the man when he was alive but turned up for his funeral instead!! Errrkk..if like that, i need to spend at least 5 hours each day to visit each and every person i know to make sure i had seen them all at least one a month..People should turn up in a funeral to show respect to the person who had left us..That's about it..

Again, that reminds me of my grandfather's funeral couple of years ago..this particular lady actually ran from the road, crying and screaming and at the end..basically slept beside my grandfather!! I don't know in which part of world, u actually show your respect in funeral this way..

If all these happened because they are 'very sad' that the person left us..I can forgive them..but then, the funny thing is when they will cry, lets say for about 15mins, come out of the house..sit under the canopy and start their usual chit chat..as if nothing happened! I saw this so many times now and i only feel like want to go to this people and give them one tight slap..now u can cry for real!! So, all this crying and screaming are merely to 'spice' up the funeral?? I don't know how i am suppose to address these people..(sigh..)

I simply don't know when these people going to attend a funeral in a more civilized manner...

Proud to be a Malaysian

I was born and raised in KL, the city center. All of life, I've been spending racing and competing with my peers. And its not uncommon for my parents tell tales of their 'business gossip', which share and 4D to buy. After all these years of listening to my parents tale, I've come to develop a slight feeling of resentment.

Then there were stress which came from school. Back then, I used to watch western movies and I was envious of their education system. It showcased students not having to fear speaking their mind and wearing what they want. Over here in Malaysia, whatever comes out from the teacher's mouth is the absolute truth!

And so, that resentment grew bit by bit as I grew up. That was when I was still in secondary school. Somehow along the way, that resentment slowly subside. Perhaps it was my school who taught us the meaning of patriotic and the spirit of muhibah. There were no hint of racism nor class division in front of my eyes. Well, the rich ones were slightly at an advantage as compared to the poorer ones, but generally speaking Everyone was treated equally.

By the time I graduated from secondary school and entered college life, the resentment came back. I was constantly annoyed by how fast city life was. We had to this and that within an impossible time frame. It was crazy! I was stressed, I was bogged down. I thought to myself, Msia sucks!

I was living in an environment where ah beng and ah lian lurks around everywhere, a place where flying rumors of bra-roberry, teen-kidnapping, and charismatic-conman are nothing to be surprised of. Yup, Msia sucks!

Somewhere in between, I was fortunate to be transfered to a foreign country, Australia for education. The moment I reached there, I thought to myself: "Ha! I'm free from the clutches yumcha-police, funny-politicians, and unmotivated gov msian workers."

While I was enjoying the benefits of being in Aus, the memories Malaysia was slowly slipping out of my head. It wasn't a few weeks later that i noticed something was amiss. I was deprived of msian food, msian jokes, and cheap msian stuff. That was when I found myself constantly drawn back to a vague image of my home country. I was miserably missing Malaysia.

The next 2 years was the worst time of my life! I was craving for authentic nasi lemak, teh o' ais limau, yumcha night life, and rainy days. Yes, even rainy days!

In Malaysia, we worry about robbery. In Sydney, we were worried about terrorism and racism. In Malaysia, we can always get food any time of the day. In Sydney, Everything is pretty much dead after 5pm. Also, I love the commercials from Malaysia, especially those Petronas commercial. [of course, Sydney has its own good trait too. But to choose between 2 countries, I rather live in Malaysia when I'm retired]

Besides, I think Malaysians are the among the rare people who treat criticism as a friendly joke! Try saying: "You Lousy-lar" to an angmoh, and you better get ready to protect your precious eyes.

Ironic as it sounds, I resented Malaysia while I was there. I started to appreciate Malaysia's beauty after having experience a foreign country. I guess what they say is true: People will realize what they have until they lose it.

What used to be my resentment is now my pride. And I'm proud to be a Malaysian

Are you proud of your country? What is it that infused you with pride?

[For members] Pictorial Instruction

****This post needs some serious editting****

Instruction:
1) Draft your post 3 days in advance.
2) Look at number#7 (in picture above). I personally think that this concept has got lot of potential. Within 10days, we managed to gather more than 10 original bloggers to the group. (for some reason, those who joined in... their recent post are pretty good. Check them out)
Daniel Liew, an enthusiastic member even wrote about this @ his site. (And I have a feeling butterflight drafted a post about this site.)

Then we have badluckz over here who is working on the template here @ TemplateTest. (this guy is pretty dedicated!)
We have Curryegg and Sharoning in our admin team.

So far so good. We have enthusiactic member, we have people waiting for this blog to open up and more importantly, we have people who can write ORIGINAL articles. I would say things are going pretty smooth.

And if those good news are good enough, we now have better news! iCalvyn is gonna sponsor us a domain of our own. (say, if you want to get your own domain, check it out here @ iCalvyn Sponsorship program)
Calvyn mentioned this: "Honestly, we approved all previous applicant that goes to us, we never reject any applicant if they fulfill all our requirement."
If you are considering a domain for your own blog, try iCalvyn's sponsorship program. Its FREE with little obligations. (Plus he seems like the type of guy who would help you build up traffic for your blog.) [Quick! 160+ dotcom left in iCalvyn's sposorship program]

Then again, this blog is scheduled to run officially at 14July2008. And it'll probably take us another 4 weeks to set up a whole new .com website (1~2weeks for them to approve a domain to us. And another 2~3weeks to set up everything in wordpress.)

We stay true to our words. Official opening date is still gonna be at 14July2008.
So, we are gonna use this address [http://revivemyblogpost.blogspot.com/] at the moment until the DotCom is up and ready.

PS: Calvyn! Give us our DotCom. Once we are done robbing you, we'll rob our own members of their own masterpiece. Ain't we evil???

PPS: DotCom = .com

Blog member related

Updated on 15/7/08

Current Member/admin:
1) http://4-4-4-4.blogspot.com
2) http://curryegg.blogspot.com
3) http://evilsifu.blogspot.com/
4) http://gnomefan.net/
5) http://temptationsandambitions.blogspot.com/
6) http://glassheartcheez.blogspot.com/
7) http://aronil.com
8) http://cornycornea.freehostia.com
9) http://thebutterflight.blogspot.com
10) http://danielctw.com/
11) http://danielliew.com/
12) http://www.tulipspeaks.com
13) http://unfortunate-infection.blogspot.com/ [the banner/template guy]
14) http://sharoning.blogspot.com/ [admin]
15) http://nathdemusicfanz.blogspot.com/ [admin]
(admins will have full control of this blog. Even a fanatic blog reader like has me has to spend a few hours digging through someone's archive just to have that 5 short minute of reading pleasure. Spending a few hours for a few minutes of fun is just not worth it.
So, I thought to myself: "Why not start up something where all the blogpost are of masterpiece value? That way, even society-bummers wouldn't mind spending time digging into an archive thats filled with good quality post."
And thus, ReviveMyBlogPost is created for that purpose. This blog is to reward subscribers with one well-written super-owning super-interesting article to read everyday.

What constitutes a Good Quality Blog Post?
A good quality blog post is pretty subjective. Some may say its the that fetches the most comments, some may say its the one written by heart, some may say its the one that blows your mind away. People have different standards and I'm sure there are people who will disagree with my taste of good-quality blog post. Generally, a blogpost worth publishing again is considered as a good-quality blogpost.

Main Concept of ReviveMyBlogPost
The main idea is to publish ONE good-quality blogpost everyday (only ONE post per day. no more no less). Members are only expected to copy and paste their old blogpost to this blog. So, in a reader's perspective, they get to read something interesting. In a author's perspective, it doesn't take much effort to be in the club.

One BlogPost Per Day? But you have so many members here.. who gets to blog?
There will be a timetable dictating who gets their turn. (Admins will have to maintain this timetable.)
Lots of members will be expected to swarm this group soon. Assuming that there are 30members, each member only gets a chance to post up something here once a month. Given that kind of timeframe, i'm pretty sure members will only post up something that is something of good-value.

Then again, Evil people exist. Don't you fear that they'll wreck havoc?
The only person capable enough to wreck havoc are admins. The position of admin will not be easy to obtain. Despite that, members could still wreck havoc by posting up some nude pictures, political propaganda or a post thats just shitty. When that happens, I'm expecting someone to replace their position.

Sounds promising! Can I join the group?
Sure. There 2 ways to join this group.
1) Replace someone in the group. (Through negotiation or other 'creative' means)
2) Apply to be in if there is an opening.
Currently we restricting our member intake. We'll give this group a 2weeks trial (24~27 July) . Depending on the reception, we might consider to open up some spaces for promising members. Then again, if you want to join in the fun, do leave your contact in the comment section. We'll keep you in mind if there are extra spaces within the group.
[At the moment, We need coders and blog-rank expert to advice us on how to make this big]

Official Release Date:
14th July 2008 (Members can start contributing after this date.)
Till then we have some time to establish a solid foundation to make this site a success.
[To everyone: If you have ideas, pls do share.... We don't mind if you are a non-member, do share if you have some great ideas. We could promote you to admin, bypassing the stage of being member if its a freaking good one!]

Open to all Ideas:
We are open to all ideas. We'll try to cater for everyone's demand as much as possible. If you have a suggestion, want to enforce an additional rule, want to scrap a rule, complain on a member, do speak out. Members and Admins of this blog are expected to be open to all other member's criticism. (If a member wants to flame you, shut up, listen and prepare yourself for a counter-attack. Wait till Wacky Sunday where you get a chance to defend your position.)

[This section is more to admins and those who want to be an admin]
ToDoList:
<s>1) Set up timetable</s>
2) Decide member/admin ratio.
3) Lock certain post away from public (any idea on how to do that?)
<s>4) Invite more promising blogger.</s>
5) Improve rules and regulation
<s>6) Design banner.</s>
7) Come up with a system that encourages admin to take action automatically without anyone asking. (perhaps members could actively challenge admins everyweek. I prefer to see a high turnover of members and admins.)
8) Come up with a system for non-members to join in...
<s>9) Mail subscription service</s>
10) Write a term and condition for new members. (eg: members are expected to be open to critism at all time, whether its a hostile or a friendly critism)

Ideas

Ideas:
1) Should comments be removed? (so that readers are forced to comment in the original blogpost.)
2) Wacky Sunday (A day where members do all sorts of funny shit. See below for more description)
3) No adverts.
4) a generic gmail account exposed in this blog so that non-member could post up something. (someone has to maintain this mail account everyday, changing passwords so that non-members can only access into this blog for a max of 1day. This is to prevent multi-post and spam)
5) Change blog URL to better easier to remember URL. (any suggestion?)
6) Monthly report (detailing change of admin&member, challenge results and feedback of wacky sunday activity)
7) tier1/tier2 member (tier1 member gets to post 2x as much as tier2 member)
8) Instead of writen in this blog, Rules and regulation (and notices) to be spread out lying in member's blog
9) Members can choose to include best comment in their post.

Wacky Sunday [Idea] [could involve members & non-members]
1) Exchange blog template for a day between member's blog
2) Guest post day between member's blog (Guest post for each other. Report (incl. participant members & title) will be written and documented in this blog
3) Challenge day [non-member vs member & member vs admin] (Winner will assume position of rivaling contender.)
4) Flame Day (a friendly flaming session among members. Flamers and victim must agree to flame or be flamed before flaming session.)
5) Banner Rotation (ft. an admin's banner for a day in revivemyblogpost)
6) Spam day. A post where everyone is invited to change and edit according to their taste
7) Tags. (A single-post tag in revivemyblogpost where all members can join in)
8) cbox day (announce a particular time where everyone can chat in the cbox during that hour. invitation to non-member to join in the fun is encouraged)
9) Radical template [Change revivemyblogpost template for a day. Warning: Widget might get lost during transition]
10) Invite guest bloggers to blog about his/her thoughts on this project (eg: interview style or article style)

Useful article (Note to 3POINT8):
http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=41952&topic=12454

Hi guys

****This post needs some serious editting****
You can contribute by help improve this blog by joining us

Copycats and Flaming. Two of the most interesting problem in blogosphere. It will also be the supporting pillar of this blog. I'll explain as I go on.

Hi guys, welcome to revivemyblogpost.blogspot.com
This blog is intended to re-post an author's masterpiece again.

I've been blogging for a long time and I've journeyed across blogs in search for radical articles, revolutionary ideas, and witty posts. Often they are buried deep within a blog's archive and never to be seen again. I'm pretty sure that in every crappy blogs, there are sure to be at least 1 ultimate masterpiece.
I used to swim across low quality blogpost in search for that ultimate post. I used to dig deep into a blogger's archive just to read that killer post. Problem is, it takes too much time to do that.

And hence this blog is created for this purpose.
Instead of me trying to look for your best post, why not you post it up here?
In this blog, You are given a chance to repost your masterpiece. You get to be your own copycat.

And this section will be about flaming:
This will be a dynamic blog. This blog will start off with 1 admin. An additional admin will be added for every 10 new members. The first admin will be elected by me. the subsequent admin will be elected by members.
For some reason that you are not satisfied with an admin, you could choose to challenge his position and take over his position as admin.
Not sure how we are going to this, but we'll think about it when the time comes. (when there are more than 10 members)

The max member this blog will take in is 30members. Should the blog be full, an external participant can challenge an existing member for his position in this blog.
Since this is kinda new, We are flexible to changes.

Prediction:
People will be getting all excited in the 1st week, wanting to join this and all.
In the 2nd week to the 2nd month, I'm guessing that there will be members who will be unmotived and will neglect this whole thing.
Even the admins will get lazy and shit.
But this kind of scenario could be prevented if you really are an entuhusiactic supportive person who is into it. Want to be an admin?
