Black male lab urgently requires foster home

5 year old black lab, Black Jack, needs a foster home by Friday. His current foster situation is not working outl. Black Jack was seized from his original owner – the fellow was a widower that had lost his home and was unable to find a place that would accept him with his 2 dogs; therefore, the widower lived in his van with the dogs for almost 2 years. Poor Black Jack was in a shelter for close to 5 months as he awaited the outcome of the seizure. As such, Black Jack needs to go to a foster with experience in re-training of an adult lab (he is so excited to be out that he will pull on leash and play fetch for hours). He is a sweet boy, very eager to please but needs work after 5 months in a kennel (cage). Black Jack is good with other dogs, interested in cats (but no prey drive). SAFER test results are available. He is UTD on shots, neutered, microchipped, is on HW / flea / tick preventative. I have spent time with Black Jack and he has amazing potential and with the right foster he will blossom back into a wonderful lab.

Black Jack is currently in the Prescott, Ontario region – seeking foster home in Eastern Ontario or Western Quebec.
