Its dynamic evolution line is an asset of diversity that can match up with any situation on the battlefield.

In building a Eeveelutions deck we must consider speed above all. Having 4 Eevees is a must for it will be the root of all evolutions. Both Leafeon and Glaceon have powerful Level-Ups and are essential to any Eeveelutions Deck. Having a 2-2 of each is a must. Then the next on is the anti-metagame evolution that will eat up about 2 Pokémon slots. It may be Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Espeon or Umbreon. Additionally, Espeon and Umbreon has special Poké-Bodies that makes Eeveelutions more versatile.

Then add in the "Speed Engine" composed of a 2-2 Claydol GE and 3~4 Chatot MD. Boom! Pokémon Lineup complete!

Almost any Supporter/Trainer Line will work with the "Speed Engine" specially if the opponent is running with Claydol GE too.

Energies depend on the Eon anti-metagame you choose.

Here's my list:

To download the Redshark Deck File (.dek), Right click in the download link and choose "Save Target as" or "Save Link as", then save it on your Redshark Directory.

Speed Eeveelutions Deck (DP-On)
[Download Redshark .DEK File Here]

Pokémon (21):

2x Leafeon Lv. One of the most promising Pokémon that matches this strategy is Empoleon. Empoleon was seen on the Worlds 2007. Everyone was expecting to see Infernapes that event but the Fire Monkey was over shadowed by the Penguin Emperor.

This is not a surprise knowing that the entire evolution line is powerful, Piplup can do 10 damage with no energies required, Prinplup can spread 10 damage to each opponent's Pokémon for one Water Energy or snipe a damaged Pokémon with 40 damage for two Water Enegies and finally, Empoleon that can snipe 40 with 2 energies, one being Water, or do 70 damage on the defending Pokémon plus 20 bench damage in a successful coin flip. Totally an awesome "Spead and Snipe" Pokémon Line!

Now, in the release of DP:Majestic Dawn Set, a new Empoleon line is available. There are 2 new Piplups, but I do consider the one with Pecha Berry. Why? Because with one Water Energy, it can snipe 10 damage. That's a great start to put 10 on annoying Baltoys that will eventually be the every popular consistency expert, Claydol. The new Prinplup is also good but not the best. I recommend using the DP counter part. The new Empoleon is SWEET! His first attack is able to snipe 30 damage to 2 Pokémon while the second attack can do 50~100 damage depending on the bench size! Wow. The minor downside is that the second attack needs a flip, tails will spread 10 damage to your bench. But its worth it!

Now that we've seen the Emperor, I'll give you a tour to the Sea Temple. A great attraction in the temple is the Old Bronze Bell, Bronzong! Bronzong is a potential Secondary Pokémon. Why? Its Poké-Body, when active puts 1 damage counter to your opponent's Pokémon with Poké-Powers. Its great in a format ruled by Powers. Its first attack puts 1 damage counter to your opponent's Pokémon that already have damage. Wow! A cheap way to spread huh?! Its second attack can do 60 damage and gives -20 on any attacks on Bronzong next turn. Good! Bronzor, its pre-evolved form, is also solid. I can make the defending Pokémon asleep for a Colorless, or do 10 damage plus Confusion in a Heads with one Psychic Energy.

The last attraction of the Sea Temple is the Clay Doll, duh! Its Claydol, the ever popular consistency expert!

I'll be including 2 decklists in this post, one for HP-On, and one for DP-On.

To download the Redshark Deck File (.dek), Right click in the download link and choose "Save Target as" or "Save Link as", then save it on your Redshark Directory.

Sea Temple Deck (HP-On)
[Download Redshark .DEK File Here]

Pokémon (19):

1x Empoleon Lv. I tested it last weekend and it stink!"

"I made a new deck and it was fabulous!"

These are usual expressions when new sets are out in the market. Players are eager to play test new decks and see some possible outcome. But the down part is, what if we can't have those cards to play test? Are the cards worth keeping? Well, having access to all the cards and play testing it is the goal of a TCG Simulation Application like Redshark.

Redshark is a Fan-made TCG program that lets you simulate our beloved Pokémon TCG game. It gives you access to all the cards from Base Set up to the latest sets. It makes you want to experiment more on strategies and to do some deck tweaks all by your self, especially when preserving the "Surprise Factor" for a newly born Rogue Deck.

I myself use this to predict new card combos because we have a late set release here in the Philippines.

To learn more about Redshark, Click Here.

From now on, all decklists that will be featured here in this blog will have a Redshark deck file download link. Some e-mails did request this feature. thanks for your continuous support.

^^,

Why NDS over PSP

UPDATE: Here's a link to CNET's Prizefight Sony PSP Slim vs. Nintendo DS Lite. Click Here

Nintendo DS versus Sony Playstation Portable. This has been a great issue since its initial launch not only in Japan but the rest of the world. Forums hosted threads to distinguish which is which, usually labeled as "DS vs PSP Thread". It is a hot topic indeed, seeing users of each gadget defend their beloved handheld console.

Japan, USA, Europe and the Rest of the World Sales Records shows a huge difference in the sales between PSP and DS. It looks like Nintendo has regained its handheld console glory over its competitor, Sony. Some says that DS trumps over PSP because of the Price. A brand new PSP Slim costs about US$ 299.90 while a brand new Nintendo DS Lite costs about US$ 199.90. But I object. Its not the price of the unit that sums it all up, its the DS unit itself!

Both PSP and DS are labeled as the next generation consoles. Nintendo DS did gave way to new technologies, adding the Touch and Mic enabled games. It hosts awesome games like the popular Mario franchise, Pokémon and more. New titles took advantage over the powerful and interesting Touch Screen Technology too, adding a whole new pool of games. The Wifi technology also gave games a whole new twist and turn. The GTS system or the Global Trading Station is also making noise. Using a 3rd-party game cartridge, the NDS gains the ability to make use of a Micro SD Memory card that enables the unit to play Homebrew games, music, video, pictures and official game "Backup" a.k.a. ROMs.

The PSP, on the other hand, also added the Wifi enabled games and made the ever-popular console "Playstation" handy. Looking towards its goal to be a next generation console, the PSP is a failure! Is rawly a portable version of the PS or PS2 with no added feature! It does play music, videos and views pictures, but the main point its to have a next gen gaming console not a portable multimedia device. Another point is that PSP games lack game play experience. Graphics are stunning and, honestly I was amazed to see full 3D games but the storyline doesn't stand out.

For me NDS is the ultimate choice. Not just because of the price, not just because of the Pokémon titles, but the DS console itself. Awesome new interface, a pool of awesome games, and a bunch of wonderful add-ons using a 3rd-party game pack. A portable GAMING device!

No wonder, the DS sales out numbered the PSP's.

^^,

[Request] Gallade and Gardevoir Deck

I was really surprised to see all Google and Yahoo Search redirects to my Blog concerning a Gallade Deck or a Gardevoir Deck. So, I came up to the idea of making a post all about it for convenience.

A deck that runs under Gallade or Gardevoir is frequently called G&G or PLOX. G&G is centered on Gallade, a heavy attacker which can potentially OK almost anyone in the Battlefield. It is effectively supported by Gardevoir and its Level X since they share the same evolution line. PLOX, on the other hand, is centered on Gardevoir, using its attack to Power Lock the opponent. Although some of these decks also run a certain amount of Gallade, they do rely on locking opponent's Poké-Powers knowing that almost all decks to date run with them.

Usually, G&G or PLOX is supported by 2-2 Claydol GE and 2~4 Pachirisu GE. Why? Of course, for consistency! Gardevoir can uniquely copy your opponent's used up Supporter Card every turn. This means additional speed in draw power or card search. Pachirisu can grab up to 3 Basic Pokémon to your bench on turn 1 for one energy of any kind. Now that's a starter! Plus, Pachirisu's 2nd attack acts as an anti-Tool Card and do additional damage. Bye bye Cessation Crystals! On the other hand, Claydol's fantastic Poké-Power lets you return 2 cards to the bottom of the deck and draw up to 6 cards. Now that's refreshing! It also adds speed to the deck and returns unnecessary cards to the deck for more room for more useful cards.

The Supporters, Trainers, Tool and Stadium Cards are the very basic seen on other card decks, besides, Gardevoir can copy opponent's Supporters, remember? The only difference is "Bebe's over Celio's" because Claydol can benefit Bebe's Search. Same goes with the energies.

Now for the highlight of this post my sample decklists!

Standard PLOX (HP-On)

Pokémon (20):

1x Gardevoir Lv. These are the next generation Pokémon TCG Sets. These sets do created new dimensions to the TCG game play and added new twists to strategy.

The current Modified Format runs under HP-On. This season will last until Worlds on August. After our Nationals, the main big event, and the fact that I never did make it to it, the next big preparation is to tune-up the whole deck for the future format. But what is the future format?

Players over the forums, Blogs and even the wonderful RedShark application speculates that the next Modified Format will be DP-On. Well, it is indeed nice other than some of our beloved cards won't make it. Cards such as Double Rainbow Energy, Scramble Energy, Steven's Advice, Cessation Crystal and Castaway are just some of the precious cards that will be unplayable on DP-On.

Well, of course, the game changes from time to time. Who knows, maybe, DRE and Scrambles might be reprinted in DP: Legend Awakens. the only thing we can do now is to wait.

^^,

Gallade and Gardevoir TCG Deck

UPDATE: Here's a link to an updated Gallade and Gardevoir Deck. Click Here

The Pokémon TCG Diamond and Pearl: Secret Wonders set offers new cards with awesome synergy and attacks to play with. And as a player, one will surely look for the best card the set should offer first, the Pokémon Lv. X. This set includes two Pokémon Lv. X, Gardevoir and Honchkrow. Being a Lv. X, we will take its evolution line as basis and from that I would pick Gardy than Honchy.

Gardevoir's evolution line is consist of 4: Ralts as the Basic, Kirlia as the Stage 1 and Gardevoir and Gallade as the Stage two. Gallade is the new addition in the Family and unlike his pre-evolved form he is not Psychic but Fighting. This is good news because Dark types will be popular when the next set arrives (because of Darkrai Lv. X from DP:GE).

I included 4 SW Ralts because its the one with the highest HP but you can use the DF-60 version for added attack (especially when Blissey is popular to your area), Kirlia SW to reuse Supporter Card for setup. I also added 2 versions of Gardevoir, the PK version for massive attack (anti-Blissey) and the SW version for supporting. Gallade is there for added offense and to help the Lv. X's attack.

Now, we need a decent secondary attacker with the finest sync with our primary attacker. The best choices are from the Psychic or Fighting types. Since Gardy Lv. X needs the opponent's Pokémon to have lowest HP, a high HP spreader may be paired to it. I choose Lucario for the job. It's ideal to run a 2-2 Lucario because Riolu has 60 HP and a potential starter K.O., the fact that most of the starters are mainly Colorless and weak to Fighting. Lucario can also attack while attacking with a decent amount. Having all of this Pokémon we need to setup fast and we need a starter Pokémon to fetch Supporters early. Stantler is there for this job.

The Trainers and Supporters must give additional setup and draw power to setup Gardevoir SW fast. Four Celio's Network or Bebe's Search is a must for Pokémon search. I also included Roseanne's Research or Holon Mentor for faster Basics, drawer like Prof. Oak's Visit and TG's Mars. I added TG's Wager to refresh the hand cards, in case you lose, then use Gardevoir's Telepass to use the opponent's drawers in his/her discard pile. Other Trainers are deck necessities like Night Maintenance and Warp Point. I added Rare Candy and Windstorms for faster setup and to get rid of nasty Cessation Crystals.

Energies are the basics with the mix of Multi and DRE.

Here's my own decklist:

Title: Gallade/Gardevoir Lv. One of these is Gardevoir Lv. X. Being a Level Up Pokémon we must also take into consideration its previous level and whole evolution line.

There are currently 4 Ralts in the format, 1 being a δ delta species, 2 of which are standard 50 HP Basics and 1 DP SW with 60 HP. I do prefer the DF-60 Ralts with Psychic Boom, for it can KO Blissey fast.

When talking about Kirlia, the best one is the new SW version that allows you to reuse your Supporter cards from your Discard Pile. This is really game breaking for some instance that your Supporters are all used up.

Now let's take a look on Gardevoir. Its PokéPower is genius! The ability to use your opponent own Supporter Card in his or her discard pile is superb! Its attavk, Psychic Lock is also good to restrict your opponent's PokéPowers.

Gardevoir Lv. X gives worry free switching with its PokéPower, Teleportation. Its attack, Bring Down, is awesome for bench attacking decks, just be sure to use it wisely or else you'll end up being KOed yourself.

This cards are really powerful. I have a weird feeling that we'll be seeing this lineup a lot this season.

Get Amp'd With Ampharos!

Special Thanks to PokéBeach for the image.

Ampharos (SW-1/132) is a great addition to the Bench attacking Pokémon Family in TCG! It has a solid 130 HP, a understandable +30 weakness to Fighting, a nice -20 resistance to Metal and quite massive 3 retreat cost.

Its Primary function is its PokéBody Jamming.

PokéBody: Jamming
After your opponent plays a Supporter Card from his or her hand, put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokémon. You can't use more than 1 Jamming PokéBody each turn.

Having Amphy in the Bench may restrict the opponent in using Supporter cards or he or she may face the consequence of putting 1 damage counter on all of his or her Pokémon.

Its Cluster Bolt attack do 70 damage for 1 Lightning and 2 of any kind. Use it and you'll have the option to discard all Lightning Energies attached to Amphy and do 20 damage to your opponent's Benched Pokémon that has energy cards attached to it. A good counter attack to Magneton PK, Honchkrow MT, Blaziken PK, Typholosion MT and the future Leafeon Lv. X that leaves energized Pokémon on the Bench.

Being a Stage 2 Pokémon means that a deck with Amphy must have Rare Candies to speed up its Bench appearance. This Pokémon is indeed one of the most precious additions to Pokémon TCG.

"Empoleon meet your new teammate, Ampharos!"

Pokémon TCG Diamond & Pearl: Secret Wonders

The next DP expansion, Secret Wonders, is really the best expansion yet. It features additional 130 cards and new Pokémon Lv. X, Gardevoir and Honchkrow and an expected but not yet confirmed Garchomp as the set's secret card. Its theme decks, Powerhouse and Lavaflow are based in the more improved version of Electivire and Magmortar. It also houses Kanto Starters, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise which are way too powerful!

Since Pokémon is under Neutral Grounds management here in the Philippines, they announced that DP:SW will be available on December 5th.

This set is really the best. I myself is thinking of buying a Booster Box for it.

Blissey, A Tough Egg to Crack

Special Thanks to PokéBeach for the image.

Blissey is invading the nation. The Pokémon TCG community is currently seeing a huge mass of players using Blissey as their primary Pokémon. There are slight variations thou, but the main strategy is to power-up its Happy Chance attack.

Zapped Egg is a variation of the Blissey deck having Raichu MT as its energy engine. Its main strategy is setup Raichu to energize Blissey until being KOed. When Blissey has the insane number of energies, off it goes to KO anyone in its way. Having Trainers to speed up setup and vast amount of Lightning and Boost energies, Blissey's attack is limitless.

Another Blissey variation is called Grass Time which includes Celebi MT and Exeggutor MT. Its starter Pokémon, Celebi can use Sprouting in the early game to stall Grass energies. Then, in the later part of the game, Celebi can also use Leaf Tornado to manipulate energies to either Blissey or Exeggutor. Its secondary attacker, Exeggutor can also attack using insane amount of energy and stall up to two Grass energies to your Pokémon. This deck revolves around this synergy, playing energies and making them stay by retreating and manipulating them. Since it needs a lot of retreating, just in case the going gets tough, it is packed with Trainers such as Warp Point, Switch and Super Scoop Up.

The third variation of Blissey is the BlissCatty. It is composed of Delcatty PK and Sableye CG. The deck makes use of the added effect of Blissey's Happy Chance attack that fetches a basic energy card from the Discard Pile. While Delcatty can discard an energy to draw three cards and Sableye can see the top card of your deck and discard it if you want, Blissey can use those discarded energies to power up its own attack all at once. It has the basic Trainer line with a slight twist in the Energy line adding Holon Energy WP and Holon Energy FF with Psychic and Fire to Retreat and surpass Weakness.

Other variations are really limitless. Some are using it with Magneton PK that shares its energy greed attack. Some are using Lucario for Balance. Some are even using it with Manectric MT and Crobat MT! The possibilities are endless.

Since Blissey can stand on its own, any card added with it to attain its full potential will make any deck victorious! Truly, Blissey is a tough egg to crack.

TCG at its Best

Special thanks to PokéBeach and PokéGym for the images.

Today TCG Players all over the world are having trouble on having their Decks tuned up for the HP-On Modified format. It requires cards that will cover all EX expansion from Holon Phantoms to Power Keepers and DP expansions from the base Diamond and Pearl up to the future releases.

Since there are modifications in the weakness and resistance of Pokémon on DP expansion, most of the trainers are using DP Pokémon as their new prime attackers. This really means "Bye bye Delta Species, reign of Sinnoh Pokémon start!" New Pokémon Lv. X and powerful PokéPowers and PokéBodies, what more can you ask for!

Trainer line haven't changed a bit, leaving the legendary Holon Engine along the way. Since EX Delta Species expansion is rotated out, many of the powerful trainers vanished. But again, DP expansions is the "Start of Something New" in Pokémon TCG. One of the greatest addition is the so-called Holon Farmer reincarnation, Night Maintenance from DP-MT. (See the Picture)

Energy line is still solid. With the addition of new basic energies, Metal and Dark, the game play is now more enjoyable. We are hoping for more special energies. (A special Psychic Energy? Hmm... is that possible?)

As a summary, Pokémon TCG is becoming to be bigger and better. Having all the new addition and all new gameplay it is a good experience for both beginners and professional.

My 8 Random Facts

I was tagged by jhay to do this 8 random facts about me. (Magmayabang ba naman?!)

I can't sleep without a blanket! even in the hottest nights I'm with my blanket, swear!

I eat only the middle part of the rice from the cooker! I don't know why but my tendency is to eat only that part.

What a weird person, you may react but that's me! *Wahaha!*
Now, I'll be tagging Kamae, Ron, Kev, Kuya Micael, Patrick, Anjo, Jesmon and Ate Konrei

Pokémon TCG Diamond and Pearl: Mysterious Treasures

The arrival of the next DP expansion, Mysterious Treasures, is really making noise. It also houses the Psychic Trio, Azleaf, Mespirit and Uxie, that has devastating prowess when played together.

Due to the late release of the first Diamond and Pearl set, Mysterious Treasures may also take time before it reaches Philippines. Vast Math related subjects ranging from College Algebra to Calculus. Also, being a scholar at the same time sometimes really makes me faint inside. Well, my institution won't give free tuition fees, miscellaneous fees and Php 1000 allowance per month for nothing. We scholars must at least be at the Dean's List.

Thank God at this point of time I'm still a full scholar. I'm a Dean's Lister last two semesters, and still hoping to be one this whole second year.

Sorry, if I really can't update this blog and Shadow Point regularly. Through the years we've seen how Pokémon crashed down and many really don't know that it is still in existence. I was a living example before. I am a big Pokémon fan. But I really felt alone in the dark until I saw PKMN-ph, a filipino Pokémon community. After that I realized, Am I the only fan lost in midair? Or maybe there are more? This made me think on joining the so-called Revolution.

Pokémon Revolution is a movement of filipino fansite for the sake of Pokémon Filipino Fans. This circle of fansites will make everything to make Pokémon at the summit of thriupth.

Pokémon fan sites like pkmp-ph, pokemon-ph and all other sites and blogs are pursuing with this same goal. It is based on EX Delta Species, a Pokémon TCG expansion.

Chapter 1 – An Accident, the Journey to Holon Region

In the unknown regions of time, strange and wondrous creatures appeared on this planet. We called them Pokémon. Over the years, countless varieties of Pokémon developed. Researchers identified hundreds of different types. And many more are yet to be discovered.
Many tales have been passed down on the extraordinary adventures we humans shared with our Pokémon friends. There have been conflicts too. But over the ages we’ve learned to live in harmony. And so the story continues.

Today there are heroes who collect Pokémon and train hard in battle. Some of them even dream of becoming Pokémon Masters, which is an exciting journey, full of challenges too. Being a trainer requires dedication and spirit. This road can certainly be long and difficult, but those who travel will find many friends along the way. Together humans and Pokémon will carry on a story facing new challenges and sharing new adventures that will become the tales of tomorrow.

Today we will see new trainers never been mentioned in the tales of our hero, Ash Ketchum. Three not-so-good trainers will have an unforgettable and unbelievable journey in the world of Pokémon.
After their defeat in the Ever Grande City, three young trainers, Cloud, Tyron and Charm are on their way to a ferry that will lead them to Vermillion City. They thought of competing in the Indigo League, where they may have an edge. Inside the ferry the saw many trainers that were like them, defeated by Ash & Pikachu, Morrison and Tyson. Some of them are even claiming that luck wasn't on their side.
It was seven o’clock sharp and it’s almost time for the boat to leave. Cloud was still depressed on what happened on all of his Pokémon. He could never forget how Ash's Pikachu wiped out all six of them in just single shots each. He was really traumatized about that one last fight at the eliminations. Tyron, just beside him, was business as usual, gazing at the female trainers aboard the ferry. On the other hand, Charm noticed four strange passengers, each wearing formal coats, which were tactically separated from each other. One of them has a Briefcase chained in his wrist. The other one was on a white coat talking with someone in his PokéGear. The one next to it has a strange looking watch that he inspects constantly, and the last one holding a Red Rod.

"Hey guys, look." Charm whispered Cloud and Tyron. "Can't you two fell something strange?"
"Yeah." Tyron replied. "These pretty girls are losers too, just like us."
"I lost to a Pikachu..." Cloud interrupted.
"Never mind!" Charm exclaimed.

Charm had a strange feeling when they were already in the middle of the sea. She saw the strange looking man shut off his PokéGear. To overcome her feelings she made herself busy by cheering the boys up.

"Hey you guys, it’s not the end of our Pokémon Journey yet!" Charm said. "Its just getting started, besides, losing for the first time isn't that bad after all."

Cloud snapped out of depression after hearing what Charm said.

"You know Charm, I think you're right! Let's leave our defeat in Hoenn and say hello to a new start when we reach Kanto." Cloud said.

The three looked at each other.

"Kanto Region, Here we come!" the three of them exclaimed.

Suddenly, a smokescreen filled the dark night. The crowd went to panic. The emergency signals went on; the boat seems unstable in the big waves of the sea.

"I told you something strange is going on here." Charm Said.

Cloud grabbed his Pokéball and threw on the air.

"Go, Swellow!" He said. "Swellow, use Gust attack to blew the smokescreen out."

Swellow did blow the smokescreen and revealed their sight. The four strange men were actually from different teams and a researcher. Each of the team members was from Team Rocket, Team Magma, and Team Aqua. Swellow returned to its Pokéball. They seem to be fighting for the briefcase.

"Give that orb to me. It will show us power for all the Pokémon of Team Magma!" One said.
"It's mine! The boss will promote me with this." The other one said.
"I'll never give it to any of you, never!" The researcher said.
"Seviper, go!" The Team Rocket member said. "Seviper, open the briefcase now!"

Seviper bit the briefcase and a yellow orb popped out. It rolled out and was lost in the panicking crowd.

"Go, Linoone! Find the orb." Cloud instructed his Linoone.

Cloud, Tyron and Charm managed to reach the researcher while the team members are busy looking for the orb.

"Trainers, find the orb." The researcher said. "Don't let them have it."
"What is it on the orb that they need, Sir?" Tyron asked.
"It’s the Holon Orb." He replied. "It is the only key to Holon Region."
"What?" the three asked again in confusion.

A huge wave capsized the ferry and sent them floating on the salty sea. Linoone instantly returned into its Pokéball. Cloud, Tyron, and Charm hold each other’s hands. Another gigantic wave rushed through them.

The next thing that came to Tyron’s mind is his headache he felt. Then he realized that they survived the huge waves last night.

"Whoa, it looks like we’re the only survivors." Tyron thought.

Then he checked Charm and Cloud to see if they’re all right.

"Where are we anyway?" Charm thought while seeing the huge island they are into.
"I don’t know Charm." Cloud replied. "Hey, there’s a tower over there. Let’s go see."

<end/>

Energies to Energize

After doing some browsing on the Japanese Pokémon Card Website I found the eight Basic Energy Cards that will make its appearance in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Premier Set.

The layout looks like the traditional Energy Cards with a slight twist by adding the oval-like 3D effect on the background. After another long break due to college and other priorities, the Shadow Trainer is back. And, finally, he comes bearing new deck strategies for you to play with!

Burning Thunder is the combination of Fire and Lightning Pokémon. The deck is equipped with mixed fire and lightning Tyranitar family. Tyranitar δ ex, a lightning type, has an attack called Electromark, which put a shockwave marker to any of your opponents Pokémon in play. Its second attack, Hyper Claws, can dish out a massive 70 damage and 20 more damage if the defending Pokémon is a Stage 2 evolved Pokémon. That’s a solid attack, but what’s with the shockwave marker? Its third attack answers this matter. Shockwave, Tyranitar δ ex’s third attack, instantly knocks out any Pokémon with a shockwave marker on. Even an undamaged Pokémon with 200 HP will just be two hits to dish out. Tyranitar δ, a fire/metal type, has a Poké-Power called Crush Draw, that reveals the top card of your deck and if it’s an energy card, you can attach it to your Pokémon, if not, it returns to the top of the deck. This is mainly useful in boosting your active or even your benched Pokémon. The deck revolves around this strategy, powering up "The Lightning" for its devastating Electromark-Shockwave Combo.

As usual, a decklist is provided. Remember, this is pre-constructed for my own way of play, and can (and probably should) be changed before taking the deck out to play in a major Championship event.

Pokémon (22):
2 Tyranitar δ ex (DF)
2 Tyranitar δ (DS)
2 Pupitar δ (DF)
4 Larvitar δ (DS)
2 Spearow (CG)
2 Fearow δ (CG)
2 Feebas δ (DF)
2 Milotic δ (DF)
4 Holon's Castform (HP)

Trainers (26):
3 Holon Transceiver
2 Holon Adventurer
2 Holon Mentor
2 Holon Researcher
2 Holon Lass
1 Holon Farmer
1 Holon Scientist
2 Prof. Elm's Training Method
2 Prof. Oak's Research
3 Rare Candy
2 Warp Point
2 Giant Stump
2 Power Tree

Energy (12):
6 Fire Energy
6 Lightning Energy

Now, to explain each card in this deck.

Holon's Castform is your best starting Pokemon. Because the entire Basic setup is Delta Pokemon, Holon's Castform can be drawing a LOT of cards very early in the game. It is there merely as a setup Pokemon, and is wholly expendable after the first three turns, once you get Milotic δ, Fearow δ and/or any Tyranitars set up.

Tyranitar δ ex is your main attacker in this deck. Tyranitar δ has the added bonus to energize your Pokémon every turn. His Poke-POWER allows you to look at the top card of your deck, if it’s a basic energy, put that card into any of your Pokémon, and if not, return it on top of your deck. This doesn't look like much, but it can be done wherever Tyranitar δ is in play, even on the bench. This means that both Tyranitars needs each other, the fire type energizes while the lightning type attacks.

Fearow δ acts as a deck navigator that gets δ Pokémon quick using its Delta Sign Poké-Power. Milotic δ may be very advantageous in two ways using its Poké-Power, Sharing. One, it can reveal your opponent’s hand cards. And two, pick a supporter card in it and use its effect. This may spoil your opponent’s strategy and luck in some ways that his own supporter card may give you triumph.

The large amount of Holon Supporter cards are to load up your Discard pile with Energy cards while still getting the cards that you need from your deck. Holon Mentor is a valuable tool early in the game, while it can be good Holon Supporter fodder late game when you are completely set up. Holon Researcher is, in part, a replacement for Celio's Network that works very well in this deck. Holon Scientist is simply an advantage card. Since you are using Holon Transceiver, you can get to that one Scientist at any point during the game, making it quite valuable when your opponent decides to load up his or her hand. Farmer is a good Recovery card, but it's not so great when used in multiples. Holon Adventurer is card drawing, pure and simple. Most of the time, you'll find yourself dropping energy cards using Adventurer rather than getting the 4 cards from discarding a Pokémon through it. Holon Lass loads your hand with energy card in an early game. But it spoils Crush Draw in the middle part.

Prof. Elm’s Training Method is there as your main Search engine. He can get to your Tyranitars very quickly. He really should be self-explainable. Rare Candy is the same thing. Just get you to both Tyranitars quickly.

Power Tree can retrieve these energy cards turn by turn in an added bonus that many decks use special energy cards that prohibits them on using the Power Tree. Giant Stump acts as an emergency exit, it lets you discard a badly injured Pokémon on the bench, avoiding a crucial knockout.

The Energy setup is more filler than anything else, even though it's vital to the deck. The Trainers and Pokemon are FAR more important than the Energy here, especially with Castform running around in the deck.

Weaknesses:

This is a deck with very few specific weaknesses. Most of the things that beat this deck are simply good strategy from the player or deck opposing it.

A well packed Grass-Lightning Deck can devastate this deck really quick. But still, Milotic δ and Tyranitar δ can hold most of the Grass types out there. For the lightning types, just fight lightning with lightning, I guess. Any card that shuts down Poké-Powers, such as Cursed Stone, is another threat to this deck. But a quick victorious setup may overcome this scenario, especially when Tyranitar δ ex appears fast. There’s no more need for the Poké-Powers Sharing, Delta Sign and even Crush Draw.

The most important thing to remember when trying to stop this deck is that speed kills. The faster the deck is that faces Burning Thunder, the better that deck should fair against it. Burning Thunder is a little bit basic than most other decks in the format, but it packs a much better punch than most decks out there. If you can get the first GOOD hit in, then you have a good chance of beating this deck.

RexRazor? Who is he anyway?

Many Pokémon trainers in the community are maybe thinking of this post's title.

Well, I'm Angelo de Villa, a Pokémon Fan since its initial launch in the Philippines. I'm in to the Pokémon Video Games and TCG.

Maybe your next question would be: "Why did you let the time pass before making such 'moves' for Pokémon?"

Well, being remote from the Metro is indeed a great boundary. I never did know that Pokémon still exist here. I felt all alone. I get to have Info from www.Pokémon.Com and that's all.

Then, I suddenly saw some TCG Boosters on sale at SkyBucks, Robinson's Place Lipa (The nearest metro in my place). I was shocked at what I saw. I was that amazed to see the TCG alive in the Phillipines.

I did some research and did found Neutral Grounds Forums. Being used to Internet dependency, I gathered all the cardlists and well understood everything. I created decks in MS Excel. Having the experience from the Gameboy TCG video game, I did created a Deck using bench attacks, Glalie from Unseen Forces and Claydol of Holon Phantoms.

I learned about the National Championships. I did compete there but unfortunately I was never able to finish the event due to Location matters, SM Megamall is really far from San Juan, Batangas. I was amazed to see the decks of many and I formulated my own "Deck Formula" which I use until now. Then months passed by. I was then pressured to play Yu-Gi-Oh TCG by my classmates and friends in College.

They did said that Pokémon is just for kids but I defended Pokémon's stand. My riends called me Deck Mech, short for Deck Mechanic. I made decks of Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh perfectly. Then I learned about PKMNph. I signed in and realized that It way nearly too late but I will try. It did quite well. I remembered when I posted my Deck on the Deck Garage there. One posted that my deck actually has guts for a beginner. When I learned about it, I smiled and said: "I was just a nobody then but I'm not a beginner." From then on, we became friends and he even helped me fetch the cards I need for my deck. You know who you are... *Wehehe*

May this post explain myself in the Pokémon Community. I RexRazor, the King of Baldes, is here to serve in the Pokémon Revolution. Labeled as the Shadow Trainer or Deck Mech, I'll do what ever it takes to keep Pokémon alive at every fan's heart. I promise!

A Glimpse from the Shadow

Yesterday was likely to be "No Blog Post Day" to me... Its Barangay Fiesta in my place, cool, yet, boring. I get to surf the internet but just to check out my accounts, oh boy! But at least I am able to enjoy a day without work and with Pokémon TCG. Huh? Yeah, you read that right, Pokémon TCG. What could I possibly be doing with a bunch of Trading Cards and a pile of Deck Replicas... *Thinking* Woah! A mini tournament! After the deep thinking part I made a mini tournament with the decks both replicas and real cards I own.

Mini Tournament Participants:

Eeveelutions Deck (Worlds 2006 1st Runner-Up)

Burning Thunder Deck (A deck I created, Uses Tyranitar δ ex, Tyranitar δ, Milotic δ and Fearow δ w/ the Holon Engine)

PsyVolts Deck (My own Deck, Uses Flygon δ ex, Jolteon ex and Lickitung δ w/ Holon Engine)

Back2Basics Deck ( A deck I created, Uses Mew ex, Basics with confusion attacks and Skarmory ex)

Plant Parade Deck ( D&P Deck I created, based on Torterra, Roserade and Vespiquen)

Psychic Tactic Deck ( D&P Deck I created, Based on Gengar, Dusknoir and Wobbuffet)

And the tourney started. Want to know who used the said decks? Well, It was me... and my alter egos... *wahaha* Its kind of weird but the venue was just on my bedroom. The tourney spanned about 7am up to 1pm. I even skipped lunch to finish it. The Champion was Psychic Tactic, followed by Plant Parade then, a close fight on the Third place was between Back2Basics and Burning Thunder with was won by Back2Basics.

It was really fun and I enjoyed it. I even had ideas on how to make my almost perfect deck a massive winning deck.
