Sometimes we recieve letters from ordinary people all over the world. They share their views or thoughts on certain things. Especially about social projects related to health. Here is an example of such a letter from the USA.

Dear friends,

Greeting from St. Louis, Missouri – United States of America,

I want to congratulate you on the design of your ‘AntiSmoke Pack.’
It is very effective and creates a strong emotion; so much so that
I wanted to thank you for presenting your vision.

Facts are facts and we all know that smoking kills. I am a former
smoker. I am also a strong proponent of a person’s freedom of choice.
The act and ritual of smoking held me in a vise. Not only do cigarette
makers lie but so do we to ourselves when in the grip of addiction. I
will always fight for one’s freedom to chose for oneself and will add
that without knowledge of the facts, it may be impossible to make a
truly free decision.

The argument says “Smoking kills, sure, but so does everything else we
do because death awaits us all.” What I see as worthy of exploration
is creating a design that tells us that cigarettes lie and will make
one a slave.

Boredpanda.com is a highly visual oddities magazine dedicated to showcasing the world’s most creative artworks, offbeat products and everything that’s really weird or wonderful. Here are 25 creative packaging design examples that they think would definitely make you want to buy these products.

According to Wikipedia, packaging is the science, art and technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution, storage, sale, and use. However, we are so used to the common every day’s packaging designs, that we don’t even notice all the hard work put in creating them. I bet that even the simplest milk package standing in your fridge took many hours or even days to get its final shape.

Strangely enough, because most people judge a product by its packaging, the packaging can cost even more than the product itself. In the end, almost any mediocre product packed in a fancy package would win against the best product in a lame package.

Comments review of Liverpool English Pub Identity on Behance.net

Unfortunately this time our project Liverpool English Pub haven’t got into the feautered projects on Behance. At least at the time of writing this post. But anyway a lot of designers and creatives from around the world have left their comments and feedback on this work.

As we see most of the comments are positive. That’s a good sign. But it’s a pity that a comment is not an indicator of the effectiveness of design. First classic English pub in Ukraine

While working on project it was very important to show the connection between our brand and traditional England. Especially with its famous town – Liverpool. That’s why we’ve started from analysis of history and key elements of town’s name and logo.

Alexander Andreyev: «The symbol of Liverpool is The Liver Bird. This bird is like legendary Phoenix and Sirin birds – there were no such a thing in real life, however, scientists still argue what kind of extinct birds could be its prototype. By itself Liver is a symbol not only of Liverpool town, it’s also main part of logo of very famous English football club. The second part of the city’s name means the water because the city is located near the sea».

Artyom Kulik: «After analysis stage we’ve found three main elements that need to be combined in a logo: The Liver Bird, location near the sea and heraldic style used in Britain during the birth of Liverpool. This has become the basis for the logo and identity of the brand at all».

Created in collaboration with marketing agency Pure:

Roman Matys, Pure «The objective of positing objects that carry roots from other cultures is to bare in mind the mentality of the audience. This is very interesting and exciting job which involves a synthesis of elements that before very unimaginable to coexist together. It is vital to maintain balance on the edge between the image in the consumer’s mind and the need to create quality and unique product. I believe, in the case of the “Liverpool” pub we have succeeded in achieving this».

Andrew Mykhashula, Pure «Each brainstorming session is a battle between two concepts: “like” “appropriate”. There were always plenty of feisty arguments from both sides of the table but in this particular case the marketing’s “appropriate” and the designer’s “like” have come to an early agreement which let to such an amazing result».
