Alan probably wears red buffalo plaid the majority of the time. His comfort shirt. I found a dress made from the same fabric and how could I not get it? Then.....he found this polar bear in a matching sweater. Where do you draw the line?

If you haven't found Zaara yet, you need to. The best description I've seen describes the fashion as a fusion of ethnic Indian culture and global influences. Talk about COLOR! (this from the woman who struggles to wear something other than black). Absolutely gorgeous and unique. Occasionally some weekend sales. Always on my wishlist. I've been going to Zaara since I found SL in 2008 and she is staying current.

Friday morning, it's the start of the weekend sales. Gabriel, one of my favorite stores. A new display with feathers and fire. I have an obsession with Ravens so the feathers are calling me. Fire? Well, yea. Pleases the dark side and my favorite season/celebrations are right around the corner. Demo grabbed. I have the perfect mask to wear with this dress I think....

My last challenge was to move into a little 512 Linden Home and yes, it was that cute trailer that is so popular. I had never had such a small home and my challenge to myself was to do everything I could do with it and then some by linking and using things not typically found to make modifications. I loved it and succeeded I thought. Did I take pictures? Absolutely didn't think about it.

This time, I have way more land to work with and this is my first picture. Inside is half done and the outside is just starting. Let's see if I can make this meet the needs of more than just me. Fingers crossed, and off we go!

I ran across this on FB today. This describes exactly what I've been feeling for a long time. I came in here looking for my person, wanting to be someone's person. Why is it so hard for me? Everyone thinks of me as a friend. One of many typically, more an acquaintance.

Men really think of me as a friend and never have a clue I may like them. Do I not know how to flirt? Very possibly. But to me, you need to be friends first and that is what I pursue. I continually have had people tell me they just thought of me as a friend and would have to have some time to think of me differently.

I have gone out of my way to make friends and pursue friendships. Out of my introverted comfort zone. Sometimes I ride that high I sometimes get when I'm being outgoing and end up being too much. I ruin it in a day.

All I want is a safe space where I'm the priority and we always come back together. Safety. Honestly. Truth. Trust. Love. Home. Comfort. Together. It can look "different" but that is the core. My line is continually cast. Despite the loneliness at times, I haven't quite given up.

It's been some kind of Monday. Took me about half an hour to log into SL and then the lag monster hit. I haven't dealt with that since before I upgraded to PBR and increased my computer memory. Then DUMP! Some kind of fall!

Finally got back in and....I'm wearing different clothes than when I left! Yikes! Finally got my act together and I'm in and hanging at home. For now. Looking for all my friends who seem to also not be online....boo!!

UPDATE: 2025 This no longer exists. We spent 3.5 great years in SL together, then RL took over and he left SL. We're RL FB friends. Nice run while it lasted, great man and glad he's a friend. The SL world rolls on.

I was asked if I would write a blog post that would update my last one, which apparently was quite woeful on the single existence I had been living and my inability to meet men who are in world when I am. In exchange, I would become a "pick" in his profile. This man drives a hard deal (ha!)

Being asked that made me go back and read that post because I hadn't remembered it being woeful or a downer on meeting people. But this guy can read me and that was underlying tone. He keeps saying he "knows me too well.” Perhaps he does, but he's got some surprises in store.

So yeah, not single. We're going together to take down our boards at Lonely Hearts Dating. Kind of a fun date, huh? Follow that up with pizza.

So if you read the last one, my frustration was meeting guys that weren't in world when I was or in reality, in world such a short time together. Well, guess who I met? Yea. Again. Another not in world often at the same times. But know what? This is THE guy. The convo was amazing from the start. Battle of intelligence at times. He likes to challenge me or think he has a tidbit I won't know about. But I surprise him. I think we both like that. Our time is quality and good. My boundaries have slipped and now we are often on discord for hours. Touch base. Home. Comfort. That is what he's become. I'm a believer in fighting for relationships. The special ones are rare and hard to find. We make our time work and find additional time. Because it's worth fighting for. We click. I'm betting there will soon be a time we complete each others sentences. Happens a bit, but afraid it's going to be a "communicate with a look, finish the sentence" relationship.

So.....I've found mine. I'm his fav batgirl and lioness and he's my king of beasts, my he lion, mine. Despite the time issue. And my walls. And my boundaries (which are falling.) He's worth it.

Apparently I’ve gained an editor. He likes besting me by correcting my punctuation. He hasn’t received the memo that I make up my own rules. (I’ll take the editor and learn.)

If you got here by following the link in my profile that says something like "learn more about me," thanks for reading! I realize in looking back that there are some posts that mention my husband and "someone special". Well, all of that is nothing now. Here's the scoop.

My RL husband and I just didn't last. In 2013 I note that I've found someone and yes we got married, but we just got unmarried.

A month or two ago, I mentioned hoping I'd see someone special that night and get some happy time. Well, again, that something didn't last. Turns out, I seem to attract men who cannot be online when I am. I don't get on until 5pm SLT at the earliest. I seem to have attracted men that leave SL shortly after that time, so our time in world together has never gotten further than chatting a bit. Of course that is my luck.

So....off I went to AVMatch and to inworld dating places and put my info up. Who knows what will happen, or if something will come of any of that. As of right now, due to chatting with people, I've removed all my info. Will it all go back up? With my luck, yes. But I hope to find someone to have some fun with and build a world with in SL.

Until then, I can be found on my land. I'm either tearing it apart and recreating everything, or in my "happy place" vegging out watching videos, listening to music, blogging, or maybe even doing my RL painting. Such is life.

When I returned to life in SL after a hiatus, BOM was making it big and it was a HUGE learning curve to figure out what the heck was going on and how to operate the myriad of options out there. I'm still witnessing a lot of confusion on how it works. However, when LeLutka (who used to be my favorite hair creators) came out with the Evo X, I was hooked and promptly bought a head. One of my favorite features is that the earrings fit perfectly without years of adjusting. You can purchase earrings made specifically for Evo X and can relax, knowing they don't need adjusting even when you change your shape.

However, be careful. Some earring creators don't have the option to hide some of the earrings, you either wear every single one in what you bought or nothing. I've looked around and these are from .stoic. and via the hud, was able to choose which earrings I wanted to show. Oh, I'm also wearing some of the earrings from the Ceylon head, so this is a mix. How cool is that?

Anyway, the look is always emerging. My next venture will be to create my bad ass me.....I love the edgy stuff out there, for example Wicca's Wardrobe and Rozoregalia for starters.

Life keeps rolling. RL changes. SL changes. Can't keep up with it. Still looking for people to spend time with in world, it's so hard to find someone that is on when I am for some reason! So, jammies become important! And animals. I have lots of animals. Most recent is this little guy. Luvs him. He's always loyal and loves me even when RL or anything else doesn't work out.
