Strike Out Hunger Launches 8th Season

The Striking Out Hunger campaign launched its 8th season with the opening of the Paw Sox baseball season. This partnership of the Citizens Bank Foundation, Cox Communications and the Paw Sox has raised a half-million dollars for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and stands to raise another $75,000 this year.

Help Us Meet the Amica Challenge

Amica Insurance will match gifts to the Food Bank dollar for dollar, up to $25,000, now through March 3 as part of its $75K Amica Challenge. To make your donation now, click here.

This unique matching grant supports the Food Bank, United Way and Crossroads Rhode Island by matching donations to all three organizations, up to $25,000 per charity. If you would like to donate to all three organizations simultaneously, you can do so through March 3 by visiting www.amicachallenge.com.

September is Hunger Action Month and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank has released a free twenty-page booklet full of ideas on ways children can participate in the initiative to feed the hungry. “One Kid Can! Helping the Hungry: A Toolkit for Kids and Young Adults” is a thorough guide for every age group, including preschoolers.

Summer's End Lobster Bake Benefits Culinary Education
