Nowe zagrożenia dla systemu Android zostały wykryte 11 maja 2011 r. Pierwszy duży wysyp szkodliwego oprogramowania w sklepie Google miał miejsce dwa miesiące wcześniej i pomiędzy nim a najnowszym incydentem można dopatrzyć się kilku podobieństw:
