Did you know that we were nearly struck by an Asteroid last week? Its the first day of the Empty Shops Radio and so I am going to be rushing about like a looney setting up the special radio studio in the Up Marlet store in Worthing. Jimmy had a back rub yesterday to help his back pain and my dad is in telling us about his early BBC days at broadcasting house in the 1950s, so that should be great fun. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks very much for the advice on what to do about my freezer and the defrosting process. To use the hair dryer or not seems to be the on going debate. If you have an opinion then I want to hear it. I give an update on the Empty Shops Radio work going on and a look at the news of the day and whether we want nuclear power stations in the UK. Are being held to ransom by the Gas pipe line in Russia? What do you think?

Have you seen the new series on BBC called garrow's Law about a criminal defense barrister? It seems to be extremely promising. Now that Doc Martin has come to an end I do need my Sunday night fix of good drama, although BBC stuff I tendt to watch on the iPlayer. I am back this week in the Empty Shops Radio Studio and I want to know if you have had any experience with empty shops being occupied by other small businesses in your high street.

Mr. Babbington and I are off to Hayling Island, near Portsmouth in Hampshire. fair enough, it is off season, but what is it like and is it really and island. Alas Norman Painting has died, aged 85. He played Phil Archer in the famous Radio 4 soap opera The Archers. We shall miss him. Also your emails in th show and news about Google's new sat-nav and the top selling sweets in this country. Can you are to miss out on the Friday Vobes Show - I think not.
