Back then it was held at a location called "Walzmühle" in Ludwigshafen. Finding itself in the middle of an emerging techno movement in Germany, Time Warp had enormous appeal with the party people there, although the experiences back then didn´t by far come close to the one of today. But along with the European techno scene, Time Warp has steadily grown and the space at the Walzmühle was no longer sufficient to accommodate the Time Warp event. After being held at a few spots in-between, the Time Warp was held at the Maimarkthalle in Mannheim in 2000, where it is still at home today!

On Friday Carl will be bringing his Carl Cox & Friends Arena to Ultra with me some of the biggest names in Techno, playing alongside him,  on the Friday will be Jon Rundell, Dubfire, Loco Dice and Ritchie Hawtin. We are really excited and proud to be able to bring such amazing talent from the techno world to Ultra Festival this year. With tickets already sold out this is going to be one of the biggest and best years yet.

A musical ambassador since he was in short trousers, a professional DJ since his early teens, a veteran of acid house and a champion of techno, Carl Cox emits a love of his work that is dangerously infectious. Check him when he's behind the turntables and you can't mistake his ecstatic visage, dripping with sweat as his head bobs up and down to the beat, his hands pumping the air whenever they're not manipulating the turntables, his body swaying back and forth, frequently taking to the mike to share word on the latest underground tune he's about to break. You name it, Carl's been there and done it, but he's never lost sight of the point of it: playing music, breaking tunes, spreading love, celebrating life.

Every year, the organization tries to surprise their visitors with an overwhelming atmosphere which thrills everyone from the first until the last note. A fairylike and unique decoration, 13 indoor and outdoor areas with more than 300 DJ's from all corners of the world, a gigantic dance valley, super cosy chill-out zones, jacuzzi's, the ultimate Saint Tropez feeling on the VIP terraces, thousands of hands in the air, falling rose leaves, BBQ's, summery coctails, fireworks, in short: One big party during 3 days.
After agreeing with the communities Boom and Rumst, the province of Antwerp and the recreational area De Schorre, it is with great pleasure we can finally announce that Tomorrowland will now take place over 3 festival days.
(In essence) So this means that Tomorrowland will take place on Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July 2011, with the festival ground fully opened on all three days. The camping ground will already be opened on Thursday 21 July in the morning and a few hours later the warming up camping party will open the festivities in the afternoon.

Extrema outdoor takes place on every 3rd Saturday of July at the beautiful recreational lake Aquabest in Eindhoven. The steadily sold out dance festival developed to one of the most successful ones of the Lowlands and has been praised for both her intimate ambiance as well as her deco and the solid line-up.
The annual Extrema Outdoor Festival in Holland has announced their lineup for 2011. The lineup features some of the biggest electro and prog house artists (Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Armand Van Helden, Sasha, Sander Kleinenberg), as well as the top techno and underground house DJs (Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig).



1. FutureFunk
The glowing sun kisses your face, your bare feet caress the grass, your hands float in the air... The FutureFunk is traditionally packed with a variety of international headliners and our country's electrohouse top artists. Prepare for exploding climaxes and busting dance moves.

2. Cocoon
Sven Väth's posse is back for more! This time in a new open circus tent. Rollin' bass lines, crushy shakers and sweating craziness! International techno heroes from minimal via house to the more heavy stuff will take care of a deep 'n damp atmosphere. P-A-R-T-Y.

3. This Is
Yeah, yeah, yeah! This is... the event brand and record label founded by the Dutch dj/producer Sander Kleinenberg. Visual aspects are just as important as the unique progressive This Is sound. The area returns to the Lakeside, as we all love it.

4. Rauw
Crazy? Yes. Awesome? Absolutely. Explosive, extreme and dangerously sexy - this sums up one of Holland's most exciting club concept Rauw. Tantalizing tunes, cutting edge sounds, raw power, raw passion and raw, unadulterated fun. Extrema just loves Joost van Bellen. Period.

5. Planet E
Extrema welcomes Planet E! At the beach club, right on the beach, surrounded by palm trees the legendary Detroit techno label boss Carl Craig drums up his royal inner circle of friends to celebrate 20 years of pure musical history.

6. Royal Dutch
The best of our country's clubhouse. With the lake on both sides it's safe for everybody to go up in flames at this peninsula. Peak, peak, peak with the ambassadors of the Dutch house scene.

7. Broke Carnival
Eindhoven represent! Raw, soulful and forward thinking music - without forgetting our past. At the sandy beach, straight on the shores Broke covers disco, funk, soul, hip hop, boogie, garage, dubstep, house and techno. A mish mash of the UK sound and US disco style.

8. The Bridge
Extrema just loves to connect. Liberate yourself right in the middle of the lake, kick back 'n relax, have your wide view, get together and go for some chillaxing you deserve. This is serious loungin'.

The lineup for Electric Daisy Carnival 2011 has started to take shape. One familiar face that will not be at this year's EDC is Kaskade. Kaskade made the announcement yesterday via Facebook stating, "I feel honored to have been a part of history by performing at EDC the last 2 years. EDC is the largest, most influential and best EDM festival in the world (imo). I get asked a lot here on facebook if I will be back, sadly I will not be there this year."

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located on the outskirts of Las Vegas, will undergo a unique transformation as the Electric Daisy Carnival comes to town! Insomniac will transform this unique location into a whimsical festival environment complete with six areas of music, carnival rides, vendor village, interactive art installations and an array of other festival attractions. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 1,000-acre complex which hosts a wide variety of events. Insomniac is excited for the opportunity to host EDC 2011 at such a unique venue.

Galicia sonar returns as co-host of a new edition Sonar at the weekend of 17th and 18th June. Sonar is consolidated in the city of A Coruna after the successful hosting of the first edition in Xacobeo 2010 with over 14,000 visitors.

The fairgrounds EXPOCoruña will host more than 20 national and international DJs, with special attention to electronic music from Local DJs.
Following in the footsteps of Galicia Sonar 2010 and the pioneering spirit of Sonar, this second edition will feature a combination of live performances by bands and DJs with different proposals leading audiovisual experimental cutting.

The lineup for Electric Daisy Carnival 2011 has started to take shape. One familiar face that will not be at this year's EDC is Kaskade. Kaskade made the announcement yesterday via Facebook stating, "I feel honored to have been a part of history by performing at EDC the last 2 years. EDC is the largest, most influential and best EDM festival in the world (imo). I get asked a lot here on facebook if I will be back, sadly I will not be there this year."

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located on the outskirts of Las Vegas, will undergo a unique transformation as the Electric Daisy Carnival comes to town! Insomniac will transform this unique location into a whimsical festival environment complete with six areas of music, carnival rides, vendor village, interactive art installations and an array of other festival attractions. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 1,000-acre complex which hosts a wide variety of events. Insomniac is excited for the opportunity to host EDC 2011 at such a unique venue.

Richie was an influential part of Detroit techno's second wave of artists in the early 1990s. Hawtin is best known for his haunting, minimal works under the alias Plastikman.

Clockwork myspace.com/weclockwork / Francesco Leali and Federico Maccherone aka Clockwork; met at the age of 15 both growing up in the suburbs of Milan. Francesco's music interests and qualifications range from twelve years studying percussion at the Milanese conservatory, to a degree in music marketing and artist promotion. Federico on the other hand started as a label founder, later deciding to follow his true passion moving to New York to start playing in underground clubs immediately making a name for himself. Their music is driven by anything varying from 80's disco music to chugging techno. There sound is mainly characterized by bouncy and decisive analog bass lines combined to rhythmic drum patterns, all mainly inspired by music from the 60's 70's and 80's.

COCOON MAIN FLOOR/
The Main Floor with its exceptional podium scenery constitutes the centrepiece of the Club, which every weekend becomes the dance floor for all electronic music lovers. A central element is the impressive white pulpit, which houses the controls for the musical and visual programme of the night. The applied technology is unique in the world: the high-end sound system provides an incomparable sound and the unusual architecture, which follows organic forms, together with the almost unending possibilities of the lighting and video system transmits a vivid and unique character to the room. Not for nothing the Club has been awarded the distinction of "Best Club of the Year" several times since its opening, achieving this on national as well as international level.

COCOON LOUNGE/
The 250 sqm big Lounge, designed by Frankfurtʼs architectural team Morgen, offers manifold possibilities of use for events of up to 300 guests. Even for groups of 50 persons you can organise in here company incentives, presentations, off-site shows or corporate parties. Due to an autarkic event logistic like e.g. the integrated bar, wardrobe, unisex lavatories as well as the possibility to use a separate entrance, the Lounge can also be booked as closed location, separately from the CocoonClub.

COCOON MICRO/
micro is a restaurant following high culinary standards that meet an innovative and multifunctional concept. The flexible space combines several areas to experience: Excellent dinners, enjoying drinks at the bar, easing out in a lounge and sense shining light and sound compositions. On friday and saturday nights micro metamorphoses from an atmospheric restaurant to a „club inside the club" and complements the sound of CocoonClub with it's music concept.

The centre piece of the room design is a „string matrix" consisting of a couple of thousand glass fibre strings hanging of the restaurants ceiling, blend with pulsed projections to a music to medial harmony and break with the linear strenght of the interieur.

The metropoitan atmosphere is furthermore supported by the international menue. No matter if goulash, steak tartare and dijon aioli, strip loin with red wine onions or variation of sushi - lohninger always hits a delicate note of aroma in most elegant combinations so that reading the menu already sounds like a fantastic journey to foreign cultures. The micro has been awarded high-class distinctions on several occasions: Among others from Gault Millau, "Der Feinschmecker" and the "Schlemmeratlas".

As Scotland's original superclub, a bar, arts venue, theatre, live music venue and nightclub in Glasgow, the Arches is the stuff of clubbing legend. There really is no other venue like it in the world. Repeatedly voted one of the top 100 clubs in the world in DJ magazine, the industrial brick arches are home to Pressure, Inside Out, Octopussy and Colours alongside the Arches' own club night Death Disco. The who's who of electronic music, the state-of-the-art in video, lighting and laser technology, a magnet for techno fans from all over the world - all of this is Time Warp in Mannheim. But Time Warp is much more than just the pure combination of music and technology. It is also a joyous come-together of the international techno scene and represents a fixed meeting place for the Time Warp community that has been formed across national borders with one thing in common: an immeasurable great love for electronic music.

It is a very strong feeling of solidarity that connects Time Warp so strongly with its audience, therefore turning this normal event into an annual mandatory one in which fans are already looking forward to it months in advance. And this is for a reason. Both musically and technically, Time Warp sets new standards again and again. Unforgettable past performances have been the reincarnation of Richie Hawtin's "Plastikman" in 2010, the collective sit-down during Reboots "Caminando," the legendary 2008 closing, and the birth of the cult slogan "Gude mood Aldaaaaa"?

In 1994 we saw the launch of the first Time Warp. Back then it was held at a location called "Walzmühle" in Ludwigshafen with a young DJ named Sven Väth. Finding itself in the middle of an emerging techno movement in Germany, Time Warp had enormous appeal with the party people there, although the experiences back then didn´t by far come close to the one of today. But along with the European techno scene, Time Warp has steadily grown and the space at the Walzmühle was no longer sufficient to accommodate the Time Warp event. After being held at a few spots in-between, the Time Warp was held at the Maimarkthalle in Mannheim in 2000, where it is still at home today!
