President Mahama Appoints Bridget Otoo as Presidential Staffer

Bridget Otoo, a broadcast journalist and well-known media personality, has been appointed as a presidential staffer in the office of President John Dramani Mahama. She will serve as the Presidential Staffer responsible for Government Communications, a role that places her at the center of state messaging and media coordination.

“So it begins… On January 7, I woke up like many Ghanaians, filled with anticipation and eager to witness the swearing-in of our new President—a leader elected in a historic landslide meant to reset the fortunes of our beloved Ghana.

After years of tireless support and campaigning for His Excellency, even when many thought it was too risky, I had imagined celebrating our victory in grand fashion. But fate had other plans: what was supposed to be a routine health check turned into an extended hospital stay, leaving me watching our moment of triumph from a hospital bed.

My silver lining was experiencing it all through the eyes of my husband Van and his cousin Richard, who were there and kept me updated with live, detailed reports that rivaled any news broadcast.

With unwavering faith in the NDC government, I was truly honored to be considered for a role in helping shape its mandate once I recovered. This appointment to serve at the seat of government as ‘Presidential Staffer, Government Communications’ is a privilege I earned through perseverance, dedication, and hard work—and I intend to prove myself worthy of it throughout my service.”

She went on to express heartfelt gratitude to President Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama for their trust and support, as well as to Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Stan Xoese Dogbe, Felix Kwakye Fosu, and grassroots members of the NDC who encouraged and believed in her.

Bridget Otoo’s appointment has generated significant interest among both media professionals and political observers, many of whom view her transition into formal public service as a natural continuation of her years of advocacy and political engagement. Popular Ghanaian MC and Hypeman, Mc Portfolio Germain, had a narrow escape from death after being involved in a ghastly accident on his way back from Obuasi, a city in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

According to sources close to the MC, the accident occurred after a successful show he hosted in Obuasi. Fortunately, Mc Portfolio Germain and his friend, DJ [DJ's name], who was with him in the car, escaped the accident unscathed.

Pictures of the accident, which were posted on Mc Portfolio Germain's WhatsApp status in the early hours of the morning, show the car with significant scratches on the driver's side. However, despite the severity of the accident, Mc Portfolio Germain and his friend are reported to be in good health.

The MC's narrow escape from death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with many of his fans and colleagues taking to social media to express their gratitude and relief.

2020 Election Update: Sad News,Awutu Senya One man shot dead after he failed to steal a ballot box

Awutu Senya West one shot dead on a motorbike whiles he was on a run after been able to snatch a ballot Box.

This happened at Obrakyere a town in Awutu Senya.

He was shot dead by Citizens in the town as he was on a run in a motorcycle.

Sources says that he is a young man between 37-39

age.

All these incident occurred just after the ballot papers has been counted and collated.

The body is now with the Ghana Police department who later chased the scene.

Sources say that the shooting might be from a Vigilante or a security officer who is no where to be found but as at now he/she(shooter) is regarded as a citizen.

Election is over, we prayed for peace, as at now we can all testify the atmosphere is calm and on the peaceful road we are marching.

Credibility of 2020 Elections Relies on Information – Nana Aba Anamoah advises Bloggers & Journalists

Ghanaian Journalist and TV Personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has reminded bloggers and journalists of the important role they have to play in making the 2020 Elections credible.

Speaking during a panel discussion at the recent 2020 Ghana Bloggers Summit on the Topic, 2020 Elections and the Influence of Blogging and Journalism, Nana Aba reiterated the role of the media in ensuring the upcoming election is declared credible.

Also speaking about the culture of blogging in Ghana, she noted that it is great to blog in large numbers but that bloggers must always remember that the truth stands and they don’t have to create fake posts to attract followers and likes.

Also sharing his thoughts during the discussion, veteran broadcaster, Patrice Amegashie advised journalists and bloggers to adopt the culture of fact-checking and verification before they publish stories for their readers.

International Journalist, Ismail Akwei, also noted that Ghanaian bloggers’ works are very impactful and they must embrace the position they control in the digital space. He also advised bloggers to take responsibility and keep doing their work well because what they do has massive effects on the way their followers perceive things.

In her parting words, General Manager of GHOne TV, Nana Aba Anamoah, advised media practitioners to be responsible and careful about what they publish and ensure they are sharing the truth and to not always be in a rush to be the first to make a publication.

The atmosphere for today November 12, 2020 has never been favorable at all.

All over the country has been soo cloudy, calm and sad as his excellency Jerry John Rawlins goes to the land of death.

This year ,great and very prominent people lives has been lost irrespective of the age,sex and area of origin(region or tribe).

As at now, it has been raining cats and dogs in almost all the parts of Ghana just as a reminder of when his excellency The Late President Atta Mills also lost his life.

Ex President Jerry John Rawlins was a very brave man, great and very charismatic.

He died on 7 November as reported by Ghanaian Grahpic but today has been the Official day announced to the general public of his lost.

This is a very great loss to Ghana as he was the founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) which is now led by Ex President John Mahama and now the running president to be elected at this years general election come forth on 7 December 2020.

Not long ago that Ex President John Jerry Rawlings known as Papa Jay buried his Mother who died at the age of 110.

Papa Jay is believed to have died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Cause of death is yet to be publicized.

Papa Jay was one who gave his all in all to the nation as an ex military officer and leader of the NDC.

REST WELL PAPA JAY.

You are one Icon to many and Icon to the world and to Ghana history.

You will be remembered as one man who stood down to fight all ways against bribery and corruption.

May your Soul Rest in Perfect Peace.

Socharart Ensemble to put Kumerica (Ashanti Region) in a whole new vibe with “Dark Side” Choreography Performance

Beginning mid-March 2020, COVID-19 pandemic forced isolation and nixing of public events and performances on us due to social distancing requirements.

As the President has lifted the ban on physical venues, Socharart Ensemble is proud to present its first choreography show of the year “Dark Side”.

The performance is choreographed by Julius Yaw Quansah and produced by special arrangements with Alliance Francaise-Kumasi and Ashanti Poetry Records Inc.

The performance which is a fusion of African contemporary and traditional dance forms is coming to shake Kumasi by whetting audiences gargantuan appetite for a memorable art event in the post-COVID-19 era.

“Dark Side”, tells a true story of an awful experience that happened among colleagues at the same work environment. In some way, it looked like gameplay – “You do me,I do you”. The story is enacted through body movements, gestures and expressions in general. It involves live singing, captivating poetry recitals and energetic live drumming of traditional instruments.

Discovering the inner forces of dance-making has never been a stress-free undertaking for choreographers. Not too many artists have explored this area as deeply as the artistic director – a professional traditional and modern dance artist and gifted art teacher.

With an assemblage of a fantastic variety of styles from extremely talented choreographers and dancers, “Dark Side” is a must-watch the performance.

Strongman's first studio album has a release date: the Ghanaian rap star revealed that his full-length 10-track is due out on November 13th, 2020

"13/11/20 #10amAlbum Get ready Fam" the Pilolo hitmaker posted to his millions of social media followers. The album has 4 singles out which are already toping charts on streaming platforms, radio and TV,

The announcement came with the full track-list of the album with features from Medikal, Wendy Shay, KelvynBoy, DopeNation, Fameye, Quamina MP, Akwaboah And Worlasi

The ‘10am Album’ follows his 2018's "STN EP" which featured the single "Vision" and has millions of streams to date, according to data from his distributor MiPromo.

In an interview months bac, Strongman stated that the pandemic has affected the release date but works have been put into it to make his fans and supporters proud

In one of the accident photos, her blue coloured saloon car was mangled.

3D Events Management, the firm in charge of organizing the Ashanti Region Music Awards Festival (ARMA) has released the list of nominees for the maiden edition of the event.

The award scheme, which seeks to acknowledge, reward and support hardworking as well as deserving musicians and other major industry players from the Ashanti Region of Ghana was officially launched yesterday in Kumasi. The event is being organized in collaboration with the regional branch of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).

The award scheme cut across all genre of music produced in the region with a few from the other regions in the Non Ashanti song of the year and Non Ashanti Artiste of the year categories. The list was released shortly after the closure of the launching. Notably among people nominated are Flowking stone, Lil win, Strongman, Emelia Brobbe,Real Richkid Gh, etc.

After the success of his mini concert which took place last September, the Akwapem hitmaker returns with a Virtual Edition of his annual ‘KOK Concert’.

Koo Ntakra teams up with talent management team WE ARE GHG, for the virtual edition of his concert. This edition of the concert will be hosted under the ‘GHG Live’ sessions which are a platform to promote and unearth talent, giving them the platform to share their works with the rest of the world through live performances.

The ‘KOK Concert’ Virtual Edition will have mainly the rapper, Koo Ntakra perform back to back most of his projects from his albums; ‘Akuaba & KOK’ to current projects released this year.
