Dash Family Send-Off

Lets join together to reflect on God's faithfulness over the years that the Dash family has been with us, and entrust them to the Lord Jesus as they move into church planting.

What can you do?

PRAY

Consider putting time aside to fast and pray for Darryl, Charlene, Christina and Josiah (Acts 13) A suggested time is from Saturday Jan 14 to Sunday January 15.

PREPARE

Reflect on the following questions:

How has the Dash's life and ministry been a testimony to Jesus Christ?
What is your prayer for them as they launch into this new ministry? (Ephesians 1:15-19)

There will be opportunity to share your reflections to the Dashes by writing or speaking it to them.

BRING

Photos. Bring these to the church before January 15 and leave them on the information desk, or send them to Corinna McMurray
Food. Please bring already-prepared finger foods on the evening of January 15; either sweet or savory
Gifts. There will be a table for personal cards and gifts for the Dash family if you wish

New Year's Day Family Skating

Come with your friends and family to the Weston Arena on January 1st 2012 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm for our annual New Year's Day Family Skate.

There won't be any hockey game this year.

The Weston Arena is located at 2125 Lawrence Avenue West, York, ON M9N 1H7

Dear Richview Church Family:

It is with mixed feelings that I am writing to tell you that I will be concluding my ministry at Richview on January 15, 2012.

It has been my privilege to serve at Richview these past thirteen and a half years. I am thankful for my time of ministry with you. As I reflect back on the highs and lows that we have been through together, I see the unmistakable nature of the Lord’s gracious love for His people.

For some time now, I’ve had a growing interest in church planting. As I explored this idea with my family we were unified as we saw tangible evidence of God leading us into this endeavour.

I was recently approved by our denomination, the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches, for church planting. I covet your prayers for both myself and my family as I move into this new ministry.

It is my prayer that the Lord will bring an abundant harvest as we each continue to labour for His glory.

Nicaragua Mission Team Report Night

Please pray for the Nicaragua trip! We are calling for a day of prayer and fasting on Sunday, August 21. Some prayer requests from the team:

safety (no one gets hurt sick or lost)
that the work we do will benefit the local people
for our group to encounter God in a new and amazing way
that the people we meet will see God working in and through us
that everything we do while we're there to bring glory to God and Christ.
that our people will see God working in and through the people in Nicaragua
that Nicaraguans would know that God's love for them has brought us to their country
upon return home that everyone will know how God worked through them and how God worked through the people we went to help and how this trip brought glory to God
that if anyone in the group has not committed themselves to Christ before we leave, that they to do so while we're there
that we would see God perform a miracle for all to witness
let us expect God to work, but not tell Him how

McNUTT, Earl William - Passed away peacefully at home at age 87. Earl was a veteran of WWII and a long time Kodak employee retiring in 1983. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice, their daughter, Sheila Lawson (Dan) and grandchildren Brian (Alicia Lawrence), Elizabeth Auld (Justin) and Richard. He is predeceased by two infant sons. A Memorial Service will be held Friday June 24 at 11:00 am at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, (North of Rexdale Blvd.,). Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Family flowers only, please. If desired, donations can be made to Princess Margaret Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society. Loving mother of Bruce (Carol-Ann), Brian (Helen) and Blair (Pamela). Loving grandmother of Craig, Keith (Jill), Cheryl (Dave), Jennifer (Carlos), Scott and Kinza; and great-grandmother of Isabella. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke, (between Kipling and Islington Aves.), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday. A Funeral Service will be held at Queensway Baptist Church, 950 Islington Ave. (north of The Queensway), on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Christian Blind Mission (one of her chosen charities).
