People watch as one of two loggerhead sea turtles are released back into the wild, March 13, 2012, at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park after they underwent rehabilitation at Miami Seaquarium. The two loggerhead sea turtles weighing in at 90 lbs and 125 lbs were both found weak in the wild, covered in parasites and struggling with buoyancy issues.

AP reports that two federally protected loggerhead sea turtles are heading back to the ocean after weeks of rehabilitation at the Miami Seaquarium.
The two 10-year-old female turtles were released Tuesday morning at Bill Baggs State Park on Key Biscayne, Fla.

Round Tiny House Cae Mabon Retreat

noreply@blogger.com (rbagain) — Fri, 24 Feb 2012 14:15:00 +0000

My new favorite Tiny House, The Roundhouse. Created by Cae Mabon’s Retreat Centre in North Wales.

...very cool, the design was inspired by the buildings built by the ancient people who had inhabited this area 3000 years before. I not only love how it's connected with ancient peoples, I also love the pure earthen, natural building technique.

Read More About
The Cae Mabon Retreat Centre in North Wales has been building small, natural dwellings for their residents and visitors since 1989. This intentional community is located in the best of what nature can offer: in the woods, by a river, near a lake, at the foot of the mountains and within sight of the sea.

Cae Mabon’s principal creator is Eric Maddern, who was inspired to create the community after spending time with the Aboriginal people in Alice Springs, Australia. He wanted to create a place that was not the ostentatious beauty of the wealthy but the humble beauty of the simple and natural. The buildings he created are mostly made from timber, stone, reed, straw, grass, lime and clay and they blend in with their surroundings.

John Muir Inspiring an #EcoSpirit

noreply@blogger.com (rbagain) — Mon, 20 Feb 2012 03:00:00 +0000

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
John Muir (21 April 1838 – 24 December 1914[1]) was a Scottish-born American naturalist, author, and early advocate of preservation of wilderness in the United States. His letters, essays, and books telling of his adventures in nature, especially in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, have been read by millions. His activism helped to save the Yosemite Valley, Sequoia National Park and other wilderness areas. The Sierra Club, which he founded, is now one of the most important conservation organizations in the United States.

EcoSpirit Land Art

noreply@blogger.com (rbagain) — Tue, 07 Feb 2012 03:39:00 +0000

Land Art, Earthworks, Eco-Art ...I'm calling it EcoSpirit Land Art or even Eco-Spirituality-Arts

...creating WITH nature, through the heart, evokes a heightened state of consciousness ...communications between the artist and the land, some may refer to as Gaia, during the creation of the works.

"Sculptures are not placed in the landscape, rather, the landscape is the means of their creation." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_art

Rarely are these works seen by the eyes others. To me this kind of work is an expression of oneness. I have feelings of gratitude and of giving praise when I create works of this kind. Land Art, Eco Art, Earthworks couldnot even emerge into the physical withoutthe nature ofspirituality.

Materialization of The Sewing Machines

noreply@blogger.com (rbagain) — Fri, 03 Feb 2012 00:19:00 +0000

So here's the story.

For a few years now I have been wanting to finalize a few designs of clothing accessories. Not having a sewing machine didn't stop me, it made me think more deeply opon the design. I worked around the need for a sewing machine by designing my pieces with a course hand sewn stiching. The look is rough - the style is all mine. Still wanting to improve the over all quality, I began "wish'n and hope'n" a machine would come along.

Forgetting about the whole idea for like about a year, an artist friend of mine Glenn Lamp, asked if I would like to help him sew cornhole bags. Sew ?? yeah, of course I'll help you, I said. Free sewing lessons woohoo !! That was back in like late Dec. -ish ...now I was back into "I NEED A MACHINE" mode. I began to visualize myself sewing a clutch bag like every day ...which actually brought me to a NEW and much sexier looking clutch ...more about that later : )

One day a few weeks ago, needing to take care of an on going mud-whole situation here at the studio I began digging this ditch.

...so, while in "Deep Thoughts" as usual, connecting with my source, I was in this very light mood, taking my time and enjoying the experience. Took a little brake, enjoyed a nice phone conversation with my sister about my experience connecting, headed back to where I had stopped, grabed the shovel and whent for a deep plung, immediately hitting something solid which I thought was a rock ...WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE ??? I questioned ...well maybe I didn't say 'WE' : ) ...what was this I had unearthed ?? Really ?? I said.

OMG!! LMAO!! GZZ!!! ..this is crazy man. I felt as the equivalent to winning a $10,000 sewing machine sweepstake ...woohoo !!

So, happily blessed and proud I put it on the front porch. Many times a day I would look at it in auh.

After about a week I began to contemplate as to why the sewing machine had manifested in this form ...I could clean it up, tho "how cool IS this machine" I thought ...I love it just as it is ...it's like 'Rat-Rod' of sewing machines ...too awesome to change. Still I really want and need a machine for a very practical purpose. I new this wasn't the machine for the job.

Some may say, that which manifests is in equivalent to the value you believe yourself to be worthy ...pondering on that awhile. ...I gave thanks for this awesome gift that brings me joy everytime I look at it.

A few days ago, while enjoying a bon-fire, a new friend of mine said "Cool sewing machine, I have one like that you could have." ...WHAT ?? I said ..nauh-auh ...Really ?? So now she's getting some great art work ...maybe even a sexy clutch bag too : )

This is it, a Vintage Revere De Luxe Zig Zag sewing machine ..and I love it !!

I've been Googling this machine looking for the operator's manuel ...not sure of its age but the model no. is 666 ...crazy stuff ...if anyone knows anything about this machine ...like how to thread it or whatever PLEASE let me know ...it would be a great help.

...sew that's my little sewing machine story.

...sew, what'cha need sewn ?? harhar : )

Season's Emergence | Fall

+ Now is the time of Fall's emergence - Refering to the northern hemisphere:

Listen to Mother-Earth's voice. In the fall temperatures begin to cool down, wildlife begins it's transitions too with, migrations, nest building, etc.

To hear her language, shift into awareness of earth changes; natures cycles, season's change. Let awareness of our natural world speak to you.

What you learn by just by being aware, could be of extreme value to you. You may not connect with a reason at the moment, however this is your intuition which is an unspoken language of the heart. Intuition is like the most primal; ancient of laguages, the ability has always been available, we need only reconnect with its ways.

Gabriella Kortsch Ph.D. On Being Observed

REWIRING THE SOUL with Gabriella Kortsch, Ph.D.: Changing the World: One Person At A Time

So what happens if you change something about your character ?Perhaps you become kinder, more considerate, or as I discussed in yesterday's post, less critical, less impatient, less judgemental, etc. Is there not also someone observing this? Perhaps that someone isn't necessarily an individual who knew you the way you were before, but who is merely observing you now, and who has decided that they like the way you are, and want to be like that too. And so they change - at least in this regard - thanks to something they observed about you. - @GabrielaKortsch

Chief Seattle Eco-Spirituality

noreply@blogger.com (rbagain) — Mon, 29 Aug 2011 05:33:00 +0000

Chief Seattle (c. 1786 - 1866)
When I'm feeling caught up in today's paradigm of racing to live... When I begin to feel disconnected
...it's Chief Seattle's wisdomAll things share the same breath - the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
-Chief Seattle, quoted on this page,
that grounds me; returns me to what's most true, Oneness. Chief Seattle's wisdomAll things share the same breath - the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
-Chief Seattle shared in these words is EcoSpirituality in pure actuality. The spirit or energy or chi vibrating through these words are unbound by time and space; All - being oneness, does not discriminate, from the physical to the ethereal; is all the whole. The wisdom then is the wisdom now, and the wisdom when will always be.
Chief Seattle reminds us of that. Everything is spirit.

Eco-Spirituality : Singularity Ecology

Inspired by this wisdom, I think of Eco-Spirituality as Singularity Ecology.

singularity:
1.the state, fact, or quality of being singular.
2.a singular, unusual, or unique quality; peculiarity.

ecology:
1. the branch of biology dealing with the relations and interactions between organisms and their environment, including other organisms.

Posterous | A Few Great Uses

noreply@blogger.com (rbagain) — Tue, 23 Aug 2011 20:08:00 +0000

Slideshows For Sites

I've enjoyed using posterous for over two years and have now found another use for it. Posterous launched the "Slideshows For Sites" in January 2011.

"We launched Posterous in July 2008 because we loved sharing thoughts, photos and videos with our friends and family, but we didn't like how hard it was."
via: posterous

What seems really cool to me is this tag:

#!/slideshow

Add this tag to the end of the image's anchor link:

<a title=" link title" href="http://your site.posterous.com/post#!/slideshow"><img border="0" src="http://image-auto-posted.jpg" alt="all about image" /></a>

I'm adding this little magic to media that's been “auto posted” via posterous. When images posted here via posterous are clicked, the viewer is sent to the slideshow on posterous. Makes for a much better experience than just viewing the image source.

Multiple Accounts | Multiple Uses

This is my posterous for daily mobile blogging, which auto-posts to the #Rb140Plus. If you're already familiar with posterous then you probably
already like how the bookmarklet works. Because of my having multiple posterous profiles, I stay logged-in to this account, so clipping pages via the bookmarklet, posts to the #Rb140Plus with ease.

For sharing my sketches. The images shown here are the most raw of sketches; done quickly, like taking a note, to later jar the memory.

Getting away from the computer and into nature. This site was build with the intention of sharing my time in nature, where I connect and gain inspiration.
Watch for mini Land-Art creations, painting, sketching... follow @RbGeoLocale on twitter to find my location and some of the most awesome trails in other parts of the world.

I've created this posterous to be a space to create and share my Creative Writings; Musings from an Eco-Spirituality perspective.

Try posterous out for yourself ...makes for enjoyable blogging.

Animals Migration Climate Awareness

Animals Moving More Quickly From Warming : Discovery News
Thu Aug 18, 2011 02:51 PM ET
Content provided by Ted Aljibe, AFP

THE GIST

- Animals are fleeing global warming much faster than they were less than a decade ago.
- A study found about 2,000 species are moving north at a rate of more than 15 feet a day.

Climate change appears to be forcing many of the world's creatures to migrate to more favorable locales up to three times faster than previously believed, a study said Thursday.

Researchers compiled past studies on species migration and combined them into a meta-analysis that showed a clear trend toward cooler climates, with the fastest moves in places where heating was most intense.

"These changes are equivalent to animals and plants shifting away from the equator at around 20 centimeters per hour, for every hour of the day, for every day of the year," said project leader Chris Thomas, biology professor at the University of York.

::: Wildlife is much more in tune with our natural world, then we sophisticated humans. Many of us sense when there is need for change, though we don't understand where it comes from. Let's say we are experiencing or feeling a need to move to another city. This could be a suggestion picked up from our subconscious, which still knows the language of our earth. Being consciously disconnected from this language, as most are, could bring confusion. We may feel anxious because of this unknown stirring inside us.

We live about this earth day to day making decisions influenced by suggestions from our collective consciousness, which in this era has been mostly influence by media. Just as we are tapped into whats happening in popular culture, Like what's the popular dress, TV shows, social networks, the language of our natural world is still within us. The first step back to reclaiming our conscious "Earth Speak" is being aware that it is available to us. The second step back is actually a tie to the first; that's Looking to wildlife, as they have never disconnected from the language. They become our teachers.

I appreciate the men and women who create and share the studies, mentioned above. Articles like the above inspire us to become more aware.

Watch Wildlife | Become More In Tuned.

We learn a lot by watching animals. Every Species has it's particular traits.
Did you know certain animals will lay down before a rain. This is just one small example of how we could be tutored back to knowing "Earth Speak". Next time you happen to see a field of cattle laying down, stop and take note, it may rain soon after.

Unfortunately it's no mystery why these creatures are migrating early, we've all been feeling it heat up lately. Not to just beat the heat, but seriously, start watching the animals more closely and you'll begin to thank them for all the messages. :::

Wibiya Custom CSS

noreply@blogger.com (rbagain) — Sun, 21 Aug 2011 19:03:00 +0000

Experimenting with the Wibiya Toolbar.
This is a great tool for any blog or website. It really increases engagement. I've used the Wibiya bar before - though it's a bit limiting on what you can customize, I knew there had to be a way. So I began to Google.

The best results came from this search term: .wibiya toolbar important!

The Wibiya toolbar you see below has been conceived and contrived from countless hours reading and experimenting ...trial and error.

So, here's the code I've worked-out for this toolbar.

<script src="http://cdn.wibiya.com/Toolbars/dir_XXXX/Toolbar_XXXXXX/Loader_XXXXXX.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

<style> .wibiya_toolbar_holder
{
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
width: 570px;
}
.wibiya_toolbar_BG {

background: url(http://YOUR FAVORITE IMAGE.png) !important;

}

</style>

For those of you who may not understand what this code says...
I will break it down a little.

But first I must tell you I AM NO EXPERT ...I've just recently began learning css so I know, to a few of us, it does look confusing.

The first part, install

via Wibiya: "Choose Your Website / Blog Platform"

I chose: "Install on websites and other blog platforms."

<script src="http://cdn.wibiya.com/Toolbars/dir_XXXX/Toolbar_XXXXXX/Loader_XXXXXX.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

This is the bit of code you get from Wibiya when you install.
Add this to the body of your template.

The Next part, CSS

<style> .wibiya_toolbar_holder
{
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
width: 570px;
}

This piece of code above controls the width.

Lastly, the code below controls the color or background image.
Mine is set for background image.

.wibiya_toolbar_BG {

background: url(http://YOUR FAVORITE IMAGE.png) !important;

}

If you would rather use a background color...

REPLACE THIS: url(http://YOUR FAVORITE IMAGE.png)

WITH THIS: #000000
...the zeros indicate black,

An Accomplished Creator | #Musing

noreply@blogger.com (rbagain) — Sun, 21 Aug 2011 14:36:00 +0000

Upon bliss's highest crest; under despair's deepest cesspit, sits an accomplished creator.

You are choosing the experience. Though it seems at times everything is coming at us and we are merely being subjected to realities resonance.
Even if you think it's this way.

...still, you decide how you're going to experience it.

Good or bad, it's yours

...only you control your inner dialog, which could be looked at as a filtering system. So even if you believe that reality is happening with out your control...

"whats going on out there..." flows through the inner dialog into
YOUR experience of choice.

I am co-creating my reality, are you ??
