Teams will start from the shop and with a list of stops around Wooster. You will be given a map but you will be responsible for determining your route to each stop, where you will pick up a clue. Feel free to use GPS or whatever you want to determine the best route to the next stop. When all six clues are collected, you will return to the shop to solve the puzzle.

Teams can be made up of any number of riders; however, you have to stay together during the whole race. You cannot divide and conquer.

At each stop, you will be given a clue. While you can try to figure out what each clue represents, you won’t be given the puzzle you’re to solve until you’re back at the shop.

At various stops, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a snack, shop, or pick up coupons for future use. You can decide whether you want to go for the fastest time or enjoy each stop along the way and see some of the best-kept secrets in Wayne County. Refreshments will be available at the finish line.

Prizes are as follows: 1st — $50 Ride On Gift Card, 2nd – Box of Gu, 3rd – Ride On T-Shirt.

Being a first year event, we certainly have plenty of room for improvements, one of which being our timing method. We apologize greatly for the inconvenience of gaps in our data for some of you. Next year we plan to use an electronic system which should eliminate those problems and allow us to have results up at the event quite quickly and get on to an awards ceremony more easily.

On that note, we apologize for dropping the ball with regards to an awards ceremony. In the shuffle of trying to sort out these results we failed to do a good job of getting everyone together for awards. For those age groupers that have not received your awards, we will be mailing them shortly.

We want to continue to improve this event so please send us any constructive criticism you have. We want to make this top notch in coming years.

SoupCan Racing’s Amish Country Roubaix sponsored by Ride On of Wooster – 4/6/13

DESCRIPTION:

AC-RBX is a difficult 45 mile race through the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country on byways of pavement, gravel, dirt and worse. The course in punctuated by relentless climbs followed by fast gravel and dirt descents. Bike and tire choice will depend on weather conditions leading up to the race; but it’s early April in Ohio, so things can change overnight! Organizers will provide daily updates on course conditions.  Regardless of day of race weather, very durable tires are highly recommended. AC-RBX starts and finishes at the Holmes County Fairgrounds just west of the intersection of Route 39 and Route 83 in Millersburg, Ohio:
