According to some creationists, men and dinosaurs co-existed. So if Adam and Eve were not expelled from the Garden of Eden, presumably we could all have a pet T-rex.

I've often wondered if a T-rex could be house broken. If so where would he mess and who would clean up after him.

Would you have to curb your dinosaur? How big would a poopie scoop be.? Would you need an 18-wheeler to deliver vittles for your pet? Would supermarkets sell dino treats? Would it need rabies shots and a license? Could you attach a leash to his collar and take him for a walk? What would happen if he spied a female T-rex in the park?

Just a thought.

he members of the Davos meetings are one per centers who profit mightily by eliminating as many jobs as possible and paying the lowest wages for those that remain.

Why do CEOs of profitable companies fire loyal, hardworking employees? To decrease expenses so they and investors can pocket the difference.

Why do companies fire skilled workers earning high wages with foreign workers will to work for greatly reduced salaries? To decrease expenses so executives and investors can pocket the difference.

What is the true meaning of austerity for the 99%? It is a direct assault by the wealthy on the social programs paid for by workers in order to preserve the low tax rates and massive fortunes of the 1%.

Since many members of government are in the pockets of the 1% or perhaps even members themselves of that lofty group, there is no mystery here. The massive fortunes will be protected by government actions and will increase at the expense of the social programs so desperately needed by the rest of us.

The 1% are the modern day equivalent of the Jurassic tyrannosaur: greedy, vicious and insatiable; and totally oblivious to these traits.

Globalization is an extension of capitalism. Wall Street tyrannosaurs who employ Asian wage slaves to manufacture their goods and then resell the goods in unregulated markets are capitalists. Are they not capitalists who are responsible for income inequality?

Are not the vultures of the Wall Street firms, and their accessories in the mortgage industry, capitalists? Did they not cheat millions of home buyers with their mortgage flimflams and bilk investors by the thousands with their phoney CDOs? Did their actions not cause the loss of millions of jobs and drive wages into a downward spiral?

Are not the CEOs who bilked millions of workers of pensions, benefits and wages and then pocketed the difference for themselves guilty of causing income inequality?

And what of the capitalists who operate private investment firms that bought up companies only to fire employees with high wages and then rehire employees at lower salaries and greatly reduced benefits and then sold the firms for a profit and pocketed the difference for themselves? Are they not guilty of wage inequality?

What in God's name is this man talking about? The brand of capitalism practiced in the United States would put a T-rex in the wild to shame. It is one of the most vicious brands of capitalism practiced in over a hundred years and is directly responsible for income inequality.

So here are the Republican choices: Quintessential Wall Street fat cat Mitt Romney; Rick Santorum, referred to by some colleagues as the “dumbest” in the Senate; the bombastic man about town and failed Speaker Newt Gingrich; and of course Ron Paul, whose sincerity may be admirable but whose message is irretrievably flawed.

Oh, and we learn now that Santorum has had his license to practice law suspended because he forgot to pay his dues.

Well, he probably wasn't very good at that either so why bother with anything so trivial as a license.

If I lived in Israel I would certainly place my faith in the tank rather than a book.

However, references to the assassination of the President of the United States are inexcusable and unacceptable, apologies notwithstanding.

As to Iran's acquiring a nuclear weapon, while it would change the balance of power in the Middle East and for that reason alone the acquisition must be avoided, should Iran acquire and then use one, the entire nation would be vaporized in fifteen minutes and Persian civilization terminated for a thousand years.

If the leaders of Iran tend to forget this hideous outcome, perhaps they should be reminded on a daily basis that, based on their actions, Persia now stands on the brink of extinction.

North Korean leaders must also be made aware, as diplomats most surely have informed them, that their nation could just as easily be wiped off the face of the earth.

So the message to these nations must be “get a grip or else.”

As for Romney and the other Republican candidates they are pandering for the Jewish vote. This sort of unabashed “politicking” should be easily discernible.
