ESPN’s SportsNation posted this video of Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan posterizing co-host Charissa Thompson in the hallway using a trash can as the basket.

Why?

For all the people out there that don’t follow the internet too closely, there is a new YouTube viral video that features the same dunking scenario in a high school hallway.

SportsNation was trying to recreate that magic featuring Jordan, who delivered the best posterizing dunk of the year on Brandon Knight.

Jordan had no sympathy for Thompson who took some legit contact from the flying Clipper.

Can we take a moment to talk about Thompson, who is rumored to be leaving ESPN for soon-to-be launching Fox Sports 1 network?  She is looking fantastic in those little short-shorts.  Total Babe.  But did anyone else notice those botox cheeks when she was lying on the floor in the final seconds?

Ottawa Senators Erik Karlsson delivered one of the best skate passes I’ve ever seen in a hockey game. During the opening period of Game 3 between the Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins, Karlsson was pushing into Pittsburgh territory when his stick was knocked away from him.

Instead of freaking out, Karlsson continued with the puck underneath his left skate, made a juke move, before completing the pass Kyle Turris who took the shot on goal.

The Indiana Pacers closed out the New York Knicks in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference Semis with a 106-99 victory in Indiana.

The highlight of the game was Pacers center Roy Hibbert stopping Carmelo Anthony‘s dunk with this impressive block.  This wasn’t one of those weak-side blocks that gets sent to the 10th row.  This is straight power and strength stopping a All-Star right in his tracks.

I’m not sure when Russian professional boxer Denis Lebedev (25-2, 19 KOs) decided to enter the ring against Guillermo Jones (39-3-2, 31 KOs) in Russia Friday night, if ever expected to walk out with 8 inches more eye socket.  But that is exactly what he got after he suffered an 11th-round KO in their WBA cruiserweight title fight.

I would recommend starting the video around the 36:00 mark.

Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Russell Martin was at bat in the bottom of the ninth, full count, bases loaded and with the score tie.  A weak pop fly to shallow right and the game is going into…oh wait, I forgot, its the Houston Astros.

Right fielder Jimmy Paredes and second baseman Jake Elmore collide before either one of them could catch the ball.  Pirates score. Game Over.

Astros are now 20 games under .500.

For any sports fan who has had to watch their team suffer a devastating loss, you know exactly what is going on in this video.  A group of Toronto Maple Leafs fans filmed their Game 7 party, which went from joy to sadness in about 15 minutes of ice time, against the Boston Bruins in the opening round of the 2013 NHL Playoffs.

Had my gopro out in hopes of capturing some memorable playoff moments for Toronto but instead got this. Though loss but still had a great time watching the leafs in the playoffs and seeing how nuts all the fans were. I’m sure leaf fans can relate to the reactions in this video!

I recommend watching this video on a computer in full-screen mode so you can see the expressions on everyone’s face.  My favorite is the girl in the back left corner, wearing the grey sweatshirt, who is sheepishly smiling [like a secret Bruins fan] and even tries wearing a Leafs’ jersey in OT for support.

Golfer Miguel Angel Jimenez is a pretty eccentric guy. The 49 year-old Spanish golfer sports a ponytail and is rarely seen without a cigar.  He also has a pretty odd way of warming up for a round of golf.  His routine has been featured on golf broadcasts in the past but in this video from Golf Monthly, Jimenez explains his routine.

I thought I was going to be bored by this video but between the Spanish accent and the cigar in his hand as he starts his routine – I was completely mesmerized.

Tennis player Viktor Troicki went on a 4 minute rant after the chair umpire at that Italian Open in Rome overruled the base line judge and called Troicki’s backhand out.

Chair umpire Cedric Mourier left his position to examine the ball mark on the clay court and confirmed his call which sent Viktor on a rant for the ages.

Troicki yells over and over again, “you know you’re wrong.”  He even dragged the camera man over to the ball mark to prove his case.  It is hard to tell who is correct, because the clay court has ball marks everywhere.

We have featured Troicki on our site before during Wimbledon, when he offered up his racquet to a fan that was giving him advice during his serve.

During Wednesday’s edition of ESPN First Take, host/moderator Cari Champion was teasing an upcoming segment on top NFL draft picks dealing with the sudden influx of money when a loud fart noise blasted over her voice.

Did Skip Bayless poop his pants?
Did Stephen A Smith have REAL diarrhea come out of his mouth?
Did someone turn the mic on in the control room?
Did an online prankster add the sound effect and now making us look stupid?

Its hard to figure where the noise originated from but the fart noise was edited out of the “best of” First Take show that airs in the afternoon [you can also hear the background music changed as well].

Deadspin first broke this story and has done some excellent work but we wanted to put the two videos together so you can hear for yourself.

Besides the big fart noise at the :19 mark, there also seems to be a muted fart noise at the :07 mark which happens to be the same exact time that Skip Bayless lifts his left butt cheek off his seat [international sign of farting].  Also, is it me or does Champion say, “its a tough ass” at the :03 mark?

Just WOW.  I feel like the title of this post doesn’t effectively explain the amazing events that transpired in Game 7 of the opening round of the NHL playoffs between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Bruins overcame a 4-1 deficit in the third period, with the final two goals scored in the final two minutes of regulation after the Bruins pulled goalie Tuukka Rask and gained the extra man advantage.

Watch Patrice Bergeron score in the 6th minute of overtime to cap off the amazing win for the Bruins.

I had a snake issue at my home last year.  A decent size, 4-foot Garter Snake would just not leave a crack in my foundation.  One day I was able to catch it roaming through my grass, I trapped it in a box and drove it about a mile away.  I found a nice wooded area and released it.

What a waste of time.

I should’ve done what San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis did and just blasted its head off with a riffle.

Willis posted his conquest on Facebook with this caption.

“Never a dull moment. I had an intruder in my house welcome to the hills……. Got em”

You can imagine that a lot of animal rights people are upset and have been blowing up his Facebook account with attacks.  Now, I’m not a 100% sure that Willis actually used the gun because he never explained how it died, or if he killed the snake in a different way and had the gun with him as backup.

78 PGA Tour victories, still sucks at winning.

At what point will Tiger Woods come up with a celebration game plan?  Woods officially won the 2013 Players Championship while sitting in the clubhouse after he watched David Lingmerth miss a birdie putt attempt on the 18th green.  The camera captured the moment Tiger realized he won the championship and every second after was just cringe-worthy.

Tiger gets up from his chair and starts to walk towards caddy Joe LaCava, who’s hand is outstretched to congratulate Woods.
Woods ignores the possibility of a handshake and goes straight for a hug.
Woods shoves LaCava in the chest while yelling, “how about that, huh?”
Woods than quickly raises his fist for the Obama-pump but LaCava doesn’t return the favor and instead slaps his fist.
LaCava proceeds to shove Woods into the next room.

Awkward.

After the game, Hibbert was asked to participate in the post game press conference and was ready to set the world on fire bringing back the sexiest eye wear trend of the 19th century – the monocle.

“I asked my teammate Paul (George) if I should do this. This is my first time at the podium basically all year. I know a lot of people always wear crazy get-ups and stuff like that, so I said to myself before the game, ‘I’m going to have a great game tonight.’

“I was advised by Paul George and David Benner not to set a trend by wearing a monocole, so I’m not putting on the monocle,”

Damn you Paul George!

Hibbert did bring the monocle with him to the podium and TNT NBA reporter Rachel Nichols snapped this photo.

Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks was upset with the referees in the second quarter of their Game 3 matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies and ESPN’s cameras caught the curse filled exchange.

After the Thunder called a timeout, Brooks started talking with referee Ed Mallory.

Brooks: “Why isn’t it? Why isn’t it?”
Mallory: “Its marginal”
Brooks: “It doesn’t [inaudible], that’s bullshit.  [inaudible], asshole (?)”

The final line from Brooks is hard to understand so if you know what he is saying, post it in the comment section below.

In 3rd round action at the 2013 Players Championship, Lee Westwood attempted a shot on the edge of the grass with his back pressed up against a tree.  Westwood did something, I don’t remember seeing a professional golfer do – he whiffed.

On the replay, you can see his club hit the tree on the downswing which caused him to swing over top of the golf ball.

During the second round of The Players Championship a volunteer had to remove an angry turtle from the 16th fairway.  The volunteer got down close to the water but the turtle still made a pretty good *thud* noise as it belly flopped into the water.

It was an exciting 3rd period in Detroit, as the Anaheim Ducks were trying to eliminate the Red Wings in Game 6 of the opening round of the playoffs.  The Red Wings were leading 3-1 and five minutes away from forcing a Game 7, but the Ducks scored two goals within 90 seconds of each other to force overtime.

In the GIF above, I slowed down the Ducks celebration of their game tying goal.  One Red Wings fan was clearly angry over the events and showed his frustration by blasting two middle fingers to the Ducks celebratory gathering in front of him.

I was surprised that ESPN was showing this replay because I noticed the double bird almost immediately.

Henrik Zetterberg scored the game-winner 64 seconds into overtime, so at least this Red Wings fan went home happy.

“A spinning arm bar,” is this officer Jake “The Snake” Roberts?  It shouldn’t be that hard to take someone to the ground who is just waking up from a Natty Light nap.

Thompson is one of three Sooner quarterbacks vying for the starting position this season and who knows what kind of impact this can have on his position but you would have to guess that head coach Bob Stoops would have concerns making someone like this the face of his team.

Another interesting aspect of this story is that Thompson is the son of former Oklahoma quarter Charles Thompson, who infamously appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in an orange jumpsuit while being arrested for selling cocaine [below].  Obviously, these two incidents are on opposite ends of the arrest spectrum but Sooner fans have to be wondering if this will turn into a “like father, like son” situation.

For those of you who don’t remember Charles Thompson, I found this highlight tape from the 87-88 season.  He had some speed but always got busted. ZING!

If you’ve been watching Game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference Semis between the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls than you know the action between the two teams has been pretty intense. In the first half, there were 6 technicals and one flagrant foul called.

Early in the second half Bulls center Joakim Noah attempted to set a pick on Heat guard Mario Chalmers.  As Chalmers tried to fight through the screen, he wrapped his arm around Noah’s throat and yanked on his neck.

How weak is that clothesline attempt by Chalmers?  Like Barry Horowitz weak.

Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov is spending his off season playing for the Russian National team in the IIHF world championship.  In a matchup against the United States, Colorado Avalanche defenseman Matt Hunwick fired a shot on Bryzgalov which was deflected.

The next thing that happened is kind of mind boggling.

Instead of making a play on the puck after the deflection, Bryzgalov ducked, covering his head with his hands.  The puck sailed just over his turtle shell for the goal.

The Philadelphia Flyers goaltender struggled this season ranking 32nd in the league with a 2.79 GAA. The Flyers missed the postseason for only the second time since the 1994-95 season.

Oakland University rising Senior Kassandra Komma did something completely unthinkable.  She recorded TWO holes-in-one in one round at the school’s golf course, R&S Sharf Golf Course.

I’ve never heard of two holes-in-one…well, uh, at least not on a golf course.

Komma hit her first-ever hole-in-one on No. 3, a 177-yard Par 3.  She then hit another ace on the very next par 3, the 108 yards 7th hole.

Komma ended up with a 3-under-par 69 for the round.

This season Komma finished the year sixth in the Summit League in scoring and earned All-Summit League second team accolades for Oakland University [in Michigan].

Last night during the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 victory of the Anaheim Ducks in Game 5, there was a stoppage in play as the Detroit rink crew had to fix some of the glass.

For whatever reason, the female Red Wings fan above started to shake her boobs in an effort to catch the attention of the refs and crew. She was also able to get her friend involved in the action.

The girls were sitting between two sets of guys, so it anyone’s guess as to who they were with but I know the guys with the ties were going wild.

Word of advice, if you are going to shake your boobs at a hockey game I would do it at a player. Refs and ice crew don’t make that much money.

After the New York Knicks were defeated by the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semis, JR Smith went to social media to defend himself against his critics.

Smith shot a dismal 4-15 and delivered a tremendous flop on a David West screen late in the 4th quarter.  Critics were attributing Smith’s poor performance to internet allegations that he was partying at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club the night before Game 1.

Boston Globe writer Gary Washburn is going to be busy today trying to defend his reasoning on why he was the only person to note vote for Lebron James as NBA MVP, robbing James the chance to become the first unanimous winner of the award.

121 votes.
120 for Lebron James.
1 for Carmelo Anthony.

Washburn explained his reasoning in today’s edition of the Globe:

this isn’t the Best Player in the Game award, it’s the Most Valuable Player award, and I think what Anthony accomplished this season was worthy of my vote. He led the Knicks to their first division title in 19 years.

That’s a long time ago.

Anthony led the league in scoring average and basically carried an old Knicks team to the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Amar’e Stoudemire missed most of the season with knee issues, Raymond Felton missed six weeks, and Tyson Chandler dealt with nagging injuries, leaving Anthony, J.R. Smith, and a bunch of lottery picks from the mid-1990s to win 54 games and beat the Miami Heat three times.

If you were to take Anthony off the Knicks, they are a lottery team. James plays with two other All-Stars, the league’s all-time 3-point leader, a defensive stalwart, and a fearless point guard. The Heat are loaded.

If LeBron was taken away from the Heat, they still would be a fifth or sixth seed. He is the best player of this generation, a multifaceted superstar with the physical prowess of Adonis, but I chose to reward a player who has lifted his team to new heights.

Washburn was the top story on the 9am SportsCenter and was questioned on his decision.  Fellow writer Stephen A. Smith said that Washburn was the least attention-seeking sportswriter out there so he defended the challenge that Washburn did this for publicity.

Carmelo Anthony had a rough playoff game in Game 1 in the Eastern Conference Semis against the Indiana Pacers.  He shot 10-28 from the field and was only 1-4 from three-point land.

The New York Knicks fans were riding the referees pretty hard in Madison Square Garden.  Chants of “these refs suck” was deafening multiple times throughout the Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semis against the Indiana Pacers.

In defense of the refs, they refs were bad for both teams.  JR Smith pulled off a pretty big flop on a screen attempt by David West late in the fourth quarter.  West was called for the four, Smith offered a lead role on Broadway.

The flopping wasn’t enough to defeat the Pacers who took home court advantage 102-95 with the road victory.

Emotions are running pretty high in Game 3 of the NHL Western Conference quarterfinals between the Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild. Towards the end of the first period there was a little scrum behind the Blackhawks goal and the two that were going at it were Andrew Shaw from the Blackhawks and Devin Setoguchi of the Wild.

Setoguchi came around the goal and made contact with Shaw.  The contact wasn’t severe enough to draw a penalty but Shaw was pretty upset as he headed back to the bench and had a few words for Setoguchi.

I’m not a professional lip reader but Shaw makes it pretty easy to understand what he was trying to say.

The Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks will be renewing their playoff rivalry on Sunday as Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals kicks off at Madison Square Garden.

The Pacers were in town Saturday night and center Roy Hibbert tweeted out this photo that he took as he was going to dinner.

Orb, ridden by Joel Rosario and trained by Shug McGaughey, won the 139th Kentucky Derby at a wet and sloppy Churchill Downs on Saturday. One person who was super excited about the victory was New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady who screamed like a girl at someone who was part of Orb’s crew.  It sounded like the person he is hugging is named Thomas.

Tedy Bruschi also shows up for the celebration.

There is someone in a navy blue coat that jumps on the pile as well, who kind of looks like Wes Welker but I haven’t been able to confirm that.

Internet rumors claim that Brady placed a $4700 bet on Orb, which would’ve won him a little over $28,000 based on Orb’s 6-1 odds.

First off, its nice to see that Craig Sager dresses like an asshole off the court like he does on the court with his flaming asshole sports coats.

Second, the folks at BustedCoverage uncovered these photos on Twitter that were taken inside a Milwaukee hotel on April 26th as some people are staying pictures with Sager who is sleeping in a chair in the hotel lobby.

Sager was in Milwaukee covering the Heat/Bucks series.

How scary is that passed out stink-eye?

Also, how hot is that girl in the turquoise dress?

Why Sager was sleeping in a hotel lobby is anyone’s guess *cough*drunk*cough* but we do know he was hanging out with some college kids earlier in the night.

There is a nasty flu that is spreading throughout the Chicago Bulls organization.  Luol Deng was suffering so much that he was kept out of the potential series clinching Game 6 against the Brooklyn Nets.  Nate Robinson was sick as well but did his best to play through it.

However, the flu was getting the best of him during the second half and during timeouts he was requesting a trashcan to throw up in.  Sideline reporter Rachel Nichols confirmed that Robinson threw up a few times in the report.

You only see some massive dry heaves in the video above (its safe to watch, I didn’t see any liquid).  Someone needs to get the little guy some Children’s Tylenol stat!

Scary moment in Game 1 of the Montreal Canadiens/Ottawa Senators series, as Lars Eller was gushing blood after a mid-ice hit by Eric Gryba.

Gryba received a 5 minute major and game misconduct.

The hit is not as vicious as you would imagine and I wouldn’t even call it a dirty hit but it was impactful enough to throw Eller off balance and send him crashing to the ice.  The real damage happened during the fall.

The blood squirting out of his face is pretty gross.

When Steve Kerr has more gray hair than you, its time for a more “mature” wig.  The wig is nothing new but for whatever reason seeing that hairpiece before the start of Game 6 between the Bulls and Nets, has made me angry.  I don’t have a problem that Albert wants to wear a wig but come on dude, for fifty years you had jet black hair.

Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews [more on Erin Andrews] spent the day yesterday promoting a workout video called Physique 57 on QVC.

The interesting part of the segment is that Andrews is placed in the back row, with most of her body being shielded by a chair.

Who produces this stuff?

If you are trying to shill a workout video by intucing people with attrative models or those with good success stories, wouldn’t you place Andrews front and center. This woman co-hosted Live with Kelly and Michael, right?  Although, seeing a famous person standing in the background of the segment is pretty hilarious.

Andrews does get interviewed later in the segment when she talked about how smelly and sweaty the workout makes her.

Well this is uncomfortable. Atlanta Falcons defensive back Asante Samuel was live in Bristol for an in-studio interview with Chris McKendry during the live 11am SportsCenter.

The conversation turned to Samuel’s recent comments about Jason Collins announcement to the world that he was gay.  This is what Samuel had to say in an interview with Fox Sports radio:

“Straight people are not announcing they’re straight, so why does everybody have to announce their sexuality or whatever? You know, what they prefer.  So that’s just how I see it, that’s my opinion on things. All respect you know, I have nothing but respect for the people whoever decisions they make and whatever, but you know, you don’t have to show it and flaunt it like that. You know what I’m saying, we have kids out here, too.”

McKendry asked for Samuel to expound on the comments, which is when things turned awkward.

McKendry: “What did you mean that ‘we have kids out here’”

Samuel: “I don’t want to teach my kids those things.  I teach my kid God, you know, how God lives his life.”

Samuel continued to respond to questions on how he would react to a gay teammate.  When the conversation turned to how the NFL would handle a openly gay player, Samuel said that he could help handle the situation if he was paid to do so.  When pushed harder by McKendry, he delivered this gem:

“They gotta get the check first. Like that?!” [smile]
