Due out in theaters on August 26th, Final Destination 5 is back with death ready to take on a whole new line-up of fresh faces and some familiar ones as well! Even though the premise will be the same, I’m hoping the fifth installment has some fresh ideas compared to its predecessors.

This time around the flick, that seems darker than the last four films, is set to chronicle a group of co-workers all looking to escape death, out to pick them off one by one, after their terrifying close call with a collapsing bridge. Walking away from such a near death experience isn’t in the cards. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Twelve years after the explosion of Flight 180, Sam Lawton (Nicholas D’Agosto) has a premonition about the bridge he is on collapsing, killing him and many around him. As the vision becomes reality, Sam manages to save himself and a few others. However, Sam and his girlfriend Molly (Emma Bell), discover that Death is still after them and the ones who survived the gruesome accident.”

Filmed on location in Vancouver, and set to debut in 3D (a definite plus!), Final Destination 5 marks the big screen debut of director Steve Quale, who worked on Avatar, with the help of writers, Eric Heisserer and Jeffrey Reddick.

Also on board the trailer that scares with falling hammers, lit cigarettes and explosions, is Courtney B. Vance, David Koechner, Ellen Wroe and more. Watch the Final Destination 5 movie trailer video below and tell us what you think?

Celebrating the release of her new perfume, Jennifer Aniston stepped out in a vibrant orange dress (see below!) created by designer Vivienne Westwood. Her new scent made its debut in New York’s Sephora department store on May 5th. Now a resident, since recently buying new property in the Big Apple, the Horrible Bosses’ actress showed off her glamorous look for crowds of happy fans all looking to get their hands on her signature “beachy clean” perfume called “Jennifer Aniston.”

Describing her new perfume, Aniston stated that new smell:

evokes “memories of sunny days at the beach and happy summer nights” while including “light, blooming floral notes set against a sensual base of musk and woods.”

The forty-two year old ‘Friends’ alumni is really living it up these days, and enjoying an enormous amount of success! Not only has she launched her new fragrance, but she’s the spokes model for Smart Water (see the hilarious video below), and she has a great line up of movies on the way.

Recently wrapping up work on the set of Horrible Bosses, the 9-5 movie features the blonde bombshell alongside Jason Bateman in a comedy that follows three extremely unhappy employees who plot the murder of their bosses. The flick is due out on July 8th!

Aniston is also playing the lead in Wanderlust from director David Wain amongst a cast of both Paul Rudd and Malin Akerman. The story centers on a couple and their goal to live a “more counter-culture lifestyle.”

Do Not Disturb isn’t a conventional film. Instead of one narrative it has five, instead of one director it has five, instead of one cinematographer (you guessed it), it has five. We recently spoke to Elfman who serves as the producer and one of the many stars of the movie and she opened up about Do Not Disturb’s humble beginnings, the development struggles, and her source of inspiration. She also gave some good advice for those of you looking to break into the movie business.

Did you always want to make Do Not Disturb independently? Did you ever plan to take it through a studio?

Mali Elfman: I didn’t think that anybody would ever care about what I was doing. I was pretty sure that we were completely independent. The bottom line is before I made this, I wasn’t anybody. I wasn’t anybody that they were willing to give me money or that they were going to give me support. I hadn’t proven myself at all. It’s like “I’m Mali Elfman and I’ve never done anything before in my life. I’d love to make a movie.” How many times do they hear that? I think what was more important for me was I want to get there and just prove that I can do this. If I can prove that I can do this in any way shape or form, whether it be small or bigger, anything, then it’s not “Hi, I’m Mali Elfman. I’d like to make a movie.” It’s, “Hi, I’m Mali Elfman. I made a film that’s being distributed by Warner Bros and I would like to make this film because I believe in this, this, and this.”

How did you pitch the film to the directors?

ME: The first person I went to was Jon Mann-Krieger, my best friend since I was 14 years old. We have made 10 short films together. So it was very obvious that at first I was going to go to Jon. I went to Petro Papahadjopoulos, he’s been a music video director for ages and I’ve seen his work. He’s worked with Incubus, he’s worked with the Black Eyed Peas, he’s worked with all these amazing artists and I’ve seen what he’s done. And he was like,” Yeah, I want to do something crazy.” Laura Henry was my acting coach for three years; she’s the one who taught me what I know. She was directing plays on the East coast and we pulled her back over. Brandon Nicholas had cast me in my first film and he had just finished his film, which he made in 15 days out in the desert [Desert Son], which just got released last week. I reached out to him. And Eric Balfour was the only one I didn’t know. He was supposed to act in Petro’s and the director actually fell out for that one two weeks before production. I think it was 10 days before production. And I was getting these emails from Eric where he was saying, “I’d like to direct.” So I got on the phone with him, and it was really a matter of does he understand this material. Can this guy work with these actors and I was so impressed with what he said. He really understood it. It’s a tough piece. It’s probably one of the most intellectual and moving parts. It’s actually very complex and he got it right off the bat.

How did you find the actors and the crew?

From them [the directors], they already had an idea of who they wanted to work with. It was also a matter of going into Art Center and going into classes and saying, “Who’s a cinematographer? Who wants to work with me?”

How many days did it take you to film?

ME: I shot for five days on set, and I had a different crew every single day and the reason being because I knew I could get people to come on set for one day. I knew I couldn’t get them for a week. I knew if I did that there was no way I was getting any of these people for free. But it’s very easy to convince people when it’s just one day. My crew was amazing. Every single day, they were so energetic, they were so lively and they loved to be there. They were happy to give their time.

Was it harder or easier to work with so many different people?

ME: Having different crews was the hardest part. We had a few people linger over for two days at a time like grips and stuff like that and that helped. Because the hardest part is where do you store everything? Where do you keep the cables? Where are the C-stands? Just knowing where stuff was was the biggest problem because you literally need to be able to start your day right away.

With so many directors did you ever get the sense that there were too many cooks in the kitchen? Was the vibe on set chaotic?

ME: I’d like to call it a “mood set,” because however the director was the crew all followed. So the first day we get on and Eric Balfour is very chill and he’s into working with his actors. He’s strict, he wants stuff done, but he goes with the flow a little bit more. Everybody had that feeling that day. The next day was Petro’s. Petro is much more action. He also won’t talk to anybody unless he needs to. I noticed this about directors. Five people will run up to the director at once, there’s a problem with the food, there’s a problem with the lighting, there’s a problem with one of the actors, there’s a problem with the makeup and he’ll literally sit there, decide which one he wants to answer (that one) then he goes the rest, “Go talk to Mali” [laughs]. His actual shooting style — I love him and his DP Mark. If they weren’t getting it he’d just pick of the camera, put it on his shoulder and he got the shot. I love that. With Laura Henry it was so funny because I walked on set and everybody was quiet. You could hear a pin drop. Everybody stood. Nobody sat in the chairs we had for them. It was very militant. And that’s like Laura Henry. She runs a very tight ship.

When it came to Jon, by then I was acting so I had to turn off the producer side of my brain a little bit and just get into the scene with Jason [Alan Smith], which was really interesting and fun especially for somebody you’ve never met before. He’s also young and it was that type of set. I was really impressed by how he worked. And Brandon Nicholas is very quiet. He’s going to come up and whisper in your ear but he’s very precise. He knows exactly what he wants and he’s very detailed and he’s very in his element when he’s on set. That’s the biggest part about working with five different directors that every single one is different and they had to lead. It wasn’t about me being big boss lady because I was producing the whole thing. I wanted it to be theirs.

I heard that the story for Do Not Disturb came from your own experience at a hotel. What inspired you there?

ME: I would go down by the pool [I was actually trying to work and it had the best internet] and I would see the weirdest people and hear the weirdest things. Because I would sit there all day long, they would stop noticing that I was there. And they would start having these conversations right next to me and I’d listen to these really weird conversations and then they’d walk up and I’d see them go into their room. I could see them even closing their curtains because the rooms were all facing where I was sitting. It was like, “What are they doing in there right now? Are they fighting? Are they making love? What is going on?” I started to think about it and I started writing random short stories about what I thought these people where doing when they where going back up into their hotel rooms. Fast forward, 25th birthday, having a panic attack living in a hotel for two months, can’t stand it anymore, want to do something more and I was sitting there with a friend who says, “ You should make this into a movie.” [I thought] “I can do that?” And suddenly eight weeks later we were on set.

The last two segments of Do Not Disturb Death Takes a Holiday and Intrinsic, are separate but they’re connected. They seem like a Part I and Part II? Why did you do those that way?

ME: Well, we started to break the rules towards the end. I gave them eight specific rules. And the first three followed to a T, the fourth one also follows them to a T but then we start to add on. I love the idea of breaking up the way that people see a film. They’re expecting one, two, three, four, and five. I like catching people off guard a little bit. At the same time, there are five films with five very different feels that those two can tie in to one another. I also thought it was really fun because everybody has to leave behind a prop, I don’t want to give away a spoiler but the props that Jon left behind that then the maid has to deal with in the last scene I thought that was hilarious. Because then you’re actually becoming a part of the room. It’s not about these people coming in and out and that’s the idea of this film, there are two leads: Diva Zappa and the room itself.

What advice would you give to filmmakers who want to make their own indie film?

ME: It’s hard. This is not an easy process. It will beat you down. It’s absolutely time consuming, exhausting. Your hard drives will fail. Your editor won’t show up. You’ll question who you are and what you’re doing in life and is this right? It is so difficult but the only reason to do it is because you love it and if you weren’t doing it you would go insane. There is no other reason. Michael Bay loves making films. George Lucas loves making films. Jerry Bruckheimer loves making films. It’s being willing to hear no, no, no, no and when they say no, say “But what about this? What about this? What about this? ” And you just keep going back. You have to be persistent, persistent, persistent, persistent. You just can’t give up. That’s the only way to do it. It’s never going to be easy.

Garity’s segment is called Intrinsic, and he plays a mobster who’s in the wrong line of work. He’s what some might call a “cleaner,” a person who wraps everything up after a murder is committed. It’s very serious business. His performance is definitely one of the highlights of not only his segment but the entire film. When we had the opportunity to speak with Garity about his role and his experience working on Do Not Disturb, he had nothing but good things to say.

Did you pick which segment of Do Not Disturb you wanted to be in or was Intrinsic suggested to you?

Troy Garity: I didn’t pick. I mean the whole project came about pretty organically. Mali and some of her friends were tired of waiting for work and so they created — they made their own movie. She has a lot of talented friends and she said, “Everyone’s going to shoot a short.” I guess there were certain requirements. I was sort of in the dark about it when they asked me to play the mobster so I didn’t really have a choice. It was just handed to me and it was great. My director Jon Mann-Krieger, I’m a big fan of his. I think he’s very, very talented. It was fun.

Did you read the script as a whole or just your section?

TG: No, just my own.

Were you pleasantly surprised when you saw all five shorts together?

TG: Yeah, it was very interesting to see how it came together. I purposely didn’t ask to know what other people were doing. I knew there was a space man involved in one of them [laughs]. That’s all that I knew. I was really blown away when I saw the final film. People’s different takes and different visions, and different authors, different creative tastes. It was really fun.

Your character is a mobster, but he has a serious fear of blood. Don’t you think he’s a walking contradiction?

TG: I mean as far as he’s a mobster and he’s afraid of blood, yeah I thought that was a smart decision and funny and quick and simple. You know when you’re dealing with the medium of short film you have to get in a message quickly and get out. So, simple little character contradictions like that really helped. And I think the director did a really good job in the time he was allowed to make a lot of twists and turns.

Did your character naturally have an awkward personality, or did that come form you?

TG: Yeah, it’s all me so far as, you get the gist of what the director wants and you bring yourself to it. And you play with it. The energy on set and working with the director and everything was so relaxed it made it easy to make the character grow and play with different ideas although we didn’t have a lot of time. We had to play quickly [laughs].

How long did it take you to film your part?

TG: I’m not sure how long it took to shoot. I think I did my stuff in a day.

In Intrinsic, you act opposite Diva Zappa’s maid character, who doesn’t speak much. Is it hard to act with someone who doesn’t vocally respond?

TG: No, it’s not difficult if the other person doesn’t have dialogue. You have to remember, you’re in a small room with a whole bunch of members of the crew, and the cameraman, and things are moving around. You just have to sort of be present and allow yourself space for mistakes and roll with the punches. And although Diva didn’t have any lines, she was certainly saying a lot. The circumstances spoke for themselves. And also I think the nature of my character — I don’t think he’s a great listener, so that worked out.

Is there anything better or worse about working on a small-scale guerilla type film set?

TG: First of all, filmmaking is filmmaking whether it’s on a huge level or a small level. There are still the same concerns, there are still are the same hopes and wants and needs, and there are still the same feelings on set. It’s the act of being on set and working with the crew that I really find enjoyable. As an actor, I don’t’ really feel that great of a difference. Creatively, the big marked difference for a big film like Barbershop or a large studio film where there’s a very large amount of money invested in the movie is designed to speak to bigger audiences. The authorship and the direction of those films need to be tailored with that in mind. Whereas a movie like ours, because it’s not some sort of great outside investment the artist can be just responsible for themselves and they are allowed to commit 100 percent of their vision to the story, to the screen, and go as wild as they want and tell us the exact story as they want. They’re not accountable to a film studio or investors or movie theaters. They’re simply accountable to their creative visions.

Do you ever see yourself moving behind the camera? Would you like to direct?

TG: Yeah, I would love to direct but then again, I think most actors would love to direct. I don’t have any big plans or agendas to but I do think about it. It is something that really interests me.

Do you think you would have the patience for it?

TG: Yeah, certainly yeah. I would have the patience for it. Here’s the thing, it’s a great job and if you love what you do patience isn’t hard to find.

A few months ago, you appeared on an episode of Hawaii Five-O, and you had great chemistry with the cast, especially Scott Caan, whom you’ve worked with in the past with the film Mercy. How was that shoot?

TG: Well, I always wanted to work with Scott, well let me be honest; I always wanted to be friends with Scott. We knew each other socially but we didn’t really know each other. He wrote that movie Mercy and our friend Patrick Hoelck was directing it and so it was a good opportunity to be able to spend some time with each other and subsequently I’ve become a big fan. I think Scott is immensely talented and such a hard worker. So I’m really, really happy for him that he got Five-O. It’s every actor’s goal to get constant work. And that’s what he’s got. He’s got more work than he can handle – well, he’s handling it fine apparently, by the ratings. So they asked me to do Hawaii Five-O and I jumped at the chance because A, it’s a great show and B, I’m a big fan of Scott’s.

Could you return for another episode?

TG: Yeah, I’m open to return. I haven’t heard anything about it but listen if they want to bring me out to Hawaii to play around on the set of Hawaii Five-O, I’d love to. They’ve got a great crew out there. Yeah, I’d jump at the chance.

Steven Soderbergh did have plans to finish out his days as a film director with two last movies, Liberace and The Man From U.N.C.L.E, but now he will put off his days of golf and relaxation to bring fans a look into the life of Dear John star Channing Tatum’s days and nights as a male stripper.

After working together on the forthcoming movie Haywire, Tatum and Soderbergh decided to collaborate on the loose biography that will be based on Saturday Night Fever. The flick will chronicle a stripper as he guides a rookie dancer.

“This was a wild and pivotal time in my life and I couldn’t be more thrilled to go down the rabbit hole with Steven,” Tatum stated.

No word yet on when exactly Magic Mike will hit theaters. We’ll keep you posted! In the meantime tell us what you think of Tatum’s life being made into a movie?

Laura Vandervoort of ‘V’ fame and Smallville’s Supergirl has just joined the cast of Seth MacFarlane‘s Ted. Have you heard about Ted? He’s a guy (played by Mark Wahlberg) who still has a deep connection with his roommate – a teddy bear. Doting over the talking stuffed animal since childhood, Vandervoort will play the role of his co-worker at the rental car place where he works. A little like FX’s Wilfred right? First dismissing this strange plot as a box office blunder, there could be something to this! Not only is The Fighter star signed up, but Mila Kunis, Adam Scott and Giovanni Ribisi.

Meanwhile, The Social Network’s Dakota Johnson will be appearing in Jonah Hill’s ’21 Jump Street’ reboot alongside Channing Tatum. The actress is also scheduled to appear in both Five Year Engagement and Goats with Californication’s David Duchovny.

In other casting news – Vanessa Hudgens is reportedly set to ink a deal to appear in the indie flick Gimme Shelter with Brendan Fraser, who will play her estranged father. Hudgens’ character is homeless and pregnant after leaving her abusive mother behind. Frasier’s character takes her in before throwing her back out again after she refuses to give up her baby. Sounds depressing! Filming kicks off at the end of May.

And in a turn of events, Rachel Weisz is said to be in talks to possibly take on the role of the evil witch in Oz, The Great and Powerful. Previously rumors where flying that Hilary Swank or Michelle Williams was up for the role. It looks like movie heads are now considering Weisz instead.

He is Australian and has been a pretty big television star there. Now he is breaking into the world of movies and looks to be hanging around for a while!

As a bit of a bio, he was born in Melbourne, Australia on August 11, 1983, which makes him 27 years old. The blonde Aussie is also 6’3” and has a very nice muscular build! “Unfortunately” ladies he is married to Elsa Pataky (who was just in ‘Fast Five’). You may recognize the last name, because both of his brothers are also actors. His younger brother Liam (who dated Miley Cyrus) and older brother Luke both have roles on the UK television series “Neighbours.” Chris was also in a popular soap opera from his home country “Home and Away.”

Before Thor, Chris Hemsworth made his movie debut in ‘Ca$h.’ However with this latest role he is being looked at for several other projects. It has been leaked that he may portray his comic action hero again in the ‘Avengers,’ slated for next year. And what is making headlines now is that he may also act alongside Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron on ‘Snow White and the Huntsman.’ He would sure have a busy schedule, and some wonder if he could do both.

Either way, I am excited to see his Marvel comic movie and just from the previews I can see why people are interested in him for other movies. What do you think about this up and coming actor? We recently had the opportunity to speak with Pulsipher about her experience making such an unconventional film. She also discussed the differences between working on an indie flick and a more mainstream project. Speaking of mainstream, she gave us a little peek at what we should expect for next season of HBO’s True Blood, where she plays Crystal Norris!

Did you pick which segment of Do Not Disturb you wanted to be in or was it suggested to you?

Lindsay Pulsipher: I know the director Petro [Papahadjopoulos]. We had met a couple years ago and I auditioned for something else he was casting and it didn’t work out the first time around. We kept in contact and we always talked about doing another project together and he approached me about [my character] Brenda and Do Not Disturb and I was really excited. It seemed like such a unique project and I had never really done anything like it before. So, yeah I was on board from the beginning.

Did you read the entire script with all five segments or just your own?

LP: No, I just read my portion, our segment. I didn’t know about any of the other stories until I actually saw the film. It was kind of fun that way.

What was your reaction to the overall tone of the film?

LP: I thought it was really great. Each director really created their own little world and set the tone for each story. I thought it was really cool how you could kind of tell the difference in each director’s vision and what they were going for yet Mali (Elfman) and Maureen (Flannigan) were able to pull it together and make it a through-line story. I thought that was really unique and really amazing that they were able to do that.

You only acted opposite Eric Balfour in your short, how was it working with him?

LP: He is a great actor. He’s a true professional. He was really creative and we had a lot of fun talking about the couple’s back history and did a little character development. He was really great, very professional, and fun to work with.

He’s been acting professionally for a while hasn’t he?

LP: Yeah, you can really tell. It’s sort of second nature to him – actually first nature to him [laughs]. He’s really good at it. We had a lot of fun just talking about everything and how he wanted to play it. I was really impressed with that.

How long did it take you to film your part?

LP: You know we shot it in one day. We did it in one or two days.

Was it on a sound stage or at an actual location?

LP: No, it was a sound stage. Yeah, they did a great job building it. It was really cool.

Is there anything better or worse about working on a small-scale guerilla type film set?

LP: I’ve had the advantage of doing a full spectrum of work. I think that there’s an advantage to both. When you work on a small, indie set and you have a director and producers and this is their heart and their soul and they’re giving everything to make this film – there’s something that’s really magical about that that you don’t really get on a big production. But then with a big production you have the advantage of time and money. You have a little bit more freedom as far as what you’re able to accomplish. You know, I prefer them both. I think there are advantages to both of them. I hope to continue to do both, big budget and also small indie things because I feel like that’s kind of where my heart is.

You worked with special effects in Rocketman and on True Blood. How weird is it to act against something that’s not there?

LP: It’s funny because I’m a pretty visual actress. When I get a script I like to visualize the whole thing in my head and really play it out in my head before I even begin to prepare and everything. I kind of lose myself in it and it’s kind of easy. It comes easy for me. I don’t know why. It’s something I kind of actually enjoy. It was actually a lot of fun for me to do.

Without getting in too much trouble from HBO, is there anything you can tell me about the new season of True Blood?

LP: It’s going to be a lot of witches, which is the same as the book. And it’s going to be crazier than last season, and the season before that. I don’t know how they come up with it. They somehow manage to outdo each season and this ones definitely no exception.

They’ve hired a lot of new people for season 4. Will everyone be able to have their fair share of screen time?

LP: Yeah, the thing about True Blood is that if you don’t get killed you’ll be around. And even if you do get killed, there’s a chance that you’ll come back. I think that most of your favorite characters will be back.

Do you know when it premieres?

LP: I want to say it’s June 12th, if I’m not mistaken.

Besides the show and Do Not Disturb what else do you have coming up?

LP: I have a film that’s doing the festival circuit right now and Sundance. It’s called The Oregonian. And I just finished shooting a film called Meth Head with Lukas Haas and it’s directed by Jane Clark. And then I have a couple of other films that I’m in pre-production for but they probably won’t start until summer and then fall. Yeah, I’m definitely keeping busy. I have some things that are on the horizon. I like to stay busy.

What’s going on with The Oregonian? Every production photo has you dressed in bloody clothes and holding a shot gun.

LP: [laughs] It’s a very surreal film. It’s this woman who gets into a car accident and when she comes to she’s trying to figure out where she’s at, where she’s going, and it’s kind of her journey into the unknown. It’s kind of a fantasy. It’s really out there. It’s really, really crazy.

According to The Hobbit director Peter Jackson, he’s been eying the lovely Lee Pace for quite sometime! After noticing him in his previous role in Tarsem Singh’s 2006 The Fall as Roy Walker (aka Black Bandit), Jackson has nabbed Pace to portray the character Elven King Thrandui.

Sharing the exciting casting news via his Facebook page – here’s what Jackson had to say about the latest addition to his already spectacular line-up of talent -”Lee has always been our first choice for Thranduil. He’s going to be great.”

The newly acquired likes of Pace would place the star among a roster of well know performers such as seasoned actress Cate Blanchett, Hot Fuzz actor Martin Freeman, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, who starred in the 2001 installment, Richard Armitage, and Christopher Lee, to name a few.

A two part installment, part one is due in theaters on the 19th of December 2012. Lee Pace’s previous credits include the popular, but short lived Pushing Daisies, 2010′s The Resident wit Hilary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Ceremony, Marmaduke and When In Rome.

Up next you can see the soon to be Hobbit star in the Twilight saga’s Breaking Dawn Parts One and Two. Pace will play the role of a vampire by the name of Garrett. The thirty-one year old just completed work as well on the flick 30 Beats in the role of Matt.

Director Rupert Wyatt is about to release his reboot of the Planet of the Apes, and in promotion of the sci-fi tale, a story featurette and an International trailer has been revealed. The movie that stars James Franco, Andy Serkis, John Lithgow, Tom Felton, Freida Pinto and Brian Cox, may not be grabbing interest but after this latest look it could garner the attention it appears (so far) to deserve!

Due out on August 5th 2011, the movie was created using WETA Digital’s CGI Effects, the same technology used in the blockbuster hit Avatar and the Lord of the Rings. And if that doesn’t interest you, maybe James Franco in the role of Will Rodman, a mad scientist (so to speak, by the looks of the teaser clip) pushing the laws of the land will! Harry Potter’s Tom Felton, who is known for his role as the dark Draco Malfoy, is also on board, and says he’s a fan as well – “when I see a trailer like that, I get very excited.”

Recently divulging more about the plot, Felton describes a world that is taken over by apes who have gained ultra intelligence after being used as guinea pigs for a new Alzheimer drug. Felton’s character cares for the unleashed apes gone wild, who wage a war on the human race!

In the latest installment of DC’s Superman, penned by David Goyer, the famous kryptonian who was adopted by the Kent’s, has threatened to absolve his American standing, and lets just say the nine page story isn’t sitting well with fans or the masses. While others don’t find his stance upsetting in the least.

Loved for his beliefs in “Truth, Justice and the American way,” Superman announced in the latest installment that he “tired of having my actions construed as instruments of U.S. policy!” All of this came after his involvement with protesters, upset over Islamist tyranny in Iran, was frowned upon by US officials.

Issuing a statement about the superhero, who is said to be no longer an American, but with the hopes of being an international hero, heads of DC Comics publishing, Jim Lee and Dan DiDio, had this to say about the controversial storyline:

“In a short story in Action Comics 900, Superman announces his intention to put a global focus on his never ending battle, but he remains, as always, committed to his adopted home and his roots as a Kansas farm boy from Smallville.”

And if you think they’ll be a follow-up to No. 900 – don’t hold your breathe. The parties in charge won’t be addressing the subject again, or speculation surrounding this latest event that have some guessing the Man of Steel movie plot, currently being kept under lock and key.

According to BleedingCool.Com, writer David Goyer, who is also on board Zack Snyder’s forthcoming movie, could be letting the cat out of the bag when it comes to Snyder’s plot. Tell us what you think Superman fans? Is No. 900′s storyline no big deal, or is the harsh criticism well deserved?

Forty-seven year old rocker Lenny Kravitz could be up for the role of Cinna in the wildly popular Hunger Games from director Gary Ross. According to Collider.Com, who thinks the star would be more suited for the role of “Flavius, a man with orange corkscrew locks who wears purple lipstick,” it looks as though Kravitz could be a good fit in the picture that is based on the books by Suzanne Collins. Not a bad place to be for Kravitz – wouldn’t you say?! With Hollywood stars vying for a chance to star in the movie, and some actually campaigning for a spot (Kristen Bell), this would be one way the Selma actor could amp up his career in the acting world!

If he does score the role of Cinna, the surprisingly normal stylist of Katniss, Lenny would be joining the already cast line up of actors Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss), Josh Hutcherson in the role of Peeta Mellark, Liam Hemsworth as the character Gale Hawthorne, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, and Leven Rambin as Glimmer, among others.

For the unknown, The Hunger Games follows “a young girl who joins a survival contest in order to save her community in a dystopian future.” Due to hit the big screen March 23rd of 2012, with the expected popular similar to that of Twilight Mania, Ross is also said to be eying up actors Woody Harrelson and Stanley Tucci. It’s been five years since the cancellation of the original WB series Everwood. Created by Greg Berlanti, the drama received the axe when the network was transformed into the CW with President Dawn Ostroff taking the reins. Ironically just this week Ostroff stepped down, announcing that ABC veteran Mark Pedowitz is now taking over the revamped green network.

Now five years later the former cast members who shot story lines that dealt with some heavy issues (teen pregnancy, drugs, depression, infidelity, and more) hidden behind the Norman Rockwell-esque images of a small community, is still going strong in their own acting careers, with their former alter ego’s now a memory.

So where are the main members of the Brown family, whose mother died in a car accident, leaving their successful neurosurgeon father to undergo somewhat of a crisis and relocate from the big city of Manhattan to Everwood?

Actor Treat Williams, aka Dr. Andy Brown, is currently making headlines for his possible casting in Chris Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises! After leaving the show, Williams nabbed a lead in the short lived medical drama Heartland, but gained more success after signing on to appear in 127 hours with James Franco as Aron’s dad. He has also appeared in the movie Howl, 2010’s Mask Maker and the TV movie Boston’s Finest.

Gregory Smith, who played the brooding and deep Ephram Brown, left his TV family behind, nabbing a movie role in 2007′s Closing the Ring. Since then Smith has gone on to star in the series Rookie Blue as Dov Epstein. The Canadian actor is also on board two movies due out this year, Conception and Dream House.

Meanwhile Smith’s on screen sister, Vivien Cardone, who played tom boy Delia Brown has also been taking on new roles since the show’s end. Currently the eighteen year old New York native is on board the soap One Life to Live where she plays the character Michelle. Prior to this, Cardone took a break from acting for a short time, but returned back to TV Land in 2008′s All Roads Lead Home before making a guest appearance in Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Emily VanCamp who starred as Ephram’s high school sweetheart, Amy Abbott, hasn’t strayed far as well! VanCamp teamed up again in 2007 with creator Greg Berlanti to star in his family series Brothers and Sisters as Rebecca Harper. After a three year run on the prime time show Emily was written off after what she explained was due to budget cuts. Just last week she appeared in the true story, Beyond the Blackboard as Stacey Bess, a school teacher who gained notoriety after working with homeless children. Up next VanCamp will appear in the 2011 TV movie Revenge as the character Emily Thorne.

VanCamp’s former Everwood brother Bright Abbott, played by actor Chris Pratt (who she also dated in real life) recently married actress Anna Farris. The Minnesota bred performer is keeping busy in television and the movies, with previous roles in The O.C., Take Me Home Tonight, Jennifer’s Body, and Wanted. He currently plays Andy Dwyer on the comedy Parks and Recreation.

Things haven’t slowed down for Debra Mooney (Edna Harper) and John Beasly (Irv Harper) either! The former grandparents of the Abbott’s, and constant supporters of the Brown’s, are still popping up here and there. Beasly was just seen in the TV series Detroit 1-8-7, with prior stints as a guest star in Harry’s Law and CSI. Mooney has landed a role in the 2011 movie The Last Godfather, and has also crossed paths with Sarah Drew (Hannah) on Grey’s Anatomy, where she appeared as Mrs. Hunt, while Drew is a series regular, portraying Dr. April Kepner.

When it comes to Rose and Harold Abbott, actors Merrilyn Gann and Tom Amandes, they have also maintained their presence in TV land like the rest of the cast. Gann has appeared in Supernatural (where she was fabulous in the episode A Very Supernatural Christmas!), Smallville, and the CW’s Life Unexpected. Amandes is currently on board the movie Lucky, and is back in the role of a doctor on Parenthood. His prior credits include Big Love, Eastwick and The Deep End.

And what happened to Nina Feeney, the love of Dr. Brown? Well it looks as though Stephanie Niznik has taken a break from the acting world. We’re hoping she comes back! Since the end of Everwood she has been seen in Life is Wild, Eli Stone, and Twenty. Since 2009 however Niznik seems to be on hiatus.

That has yet to be disclosed by Jones who is also on board X-Men: First Class as Emma Frost. Previously linked to Punked star, and boyfriend of Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher. As well as singer Josh Groban, and Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis. January’s rep only disclosed the performer’s happiness over her pregnancy and not the name of the father.

“January Jones is happy to announce that she is expecting her first child this fall.”

The blonde beauty is due this Fall. What this all means for Mad Men? No-one knows at the moment, but January is on board several other projects. Recently seen in the February release of Unknown, you can see her next in the movie The Hungry Rabbit Jumps.

Twenty-four year old singer, and actress, Hilary Duff’s performance in the movie Bloodworth as the character Raven Lee Halfacre will finally be seen when the family drama opens in theaters May 20th! After shooting nearly two years ago, opposite Val Kilmer and Kris Kristofferson, the film adaption from the novel of William Gay’s Provinces of Night will make it debut this summer.

The story follows Duff as a woman of E.F. Bloodworth’s young grandson’s dreams, the central character of the story (played by Kristofferson) who returns home to his small town forty years later to watch history repeat itself. With an angry ex-wife, and three dysfunctional sons in tow, E.F. finds comfort in a relationship with the grandson he has never met, who is about to cross the same bridges he burnt years ago.

Showcased at several film festivals to date, Bloodworth has already been coined an outstanding motion picture by movie goers who attended early screenings.

“Just a phenomenal movie. I feel so lucky to have seen it’s first showing and can’t wait to take others when its released in theaters. Soundtrack is amazing too!”

Joining Duff, Val Kilmer, and Kristofferson, actor Reece Thompson is on board as Fleming E.F.”s grandson), along with Dwight Yoakam, Francis Conroy, W.
