Seven Iranian nationals linked to the regime in Tehran – including five The Post previously revealed were living lavish lifestyles in Los Angeles – have been targeted for removal from the US as part of a sweeping State Department crackdown.

Among the most prominent cases is the son of Masoumeh Ebtekar, known as “Screaming Mary,” who served as a spokesperson for militants involved in the 1979 US Embassy hostage crisis in Tehran.

ICE agents detained her son, Seyed Eissa Hashemi, along with his wife and child this week after The Post reported on their lifestyle in Los Angeles.

Family members initially reported him missing before authorities later confirmed he had been taken into custody.

Just a week earlier, two other Iranians with ties to slain general Qasem Soleimani were also detained.

Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, 47, and her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, 25, had their green cards revoked on April 3. Afshar is Soleimani’s niece, while Hosseiny is his grandniece.

Afshar had expressed support for the Iranian regime in public posts, including praise for its leadership and rhetoric critical of the United States.

In a separate case, Dr. Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani – the daughter of a senior Iranian official – and her husband, Seyed Kalantar Motamedi, were also removed from the country amid mounting political pressure. --->READ MORE HERE

The family of Seyed Eissa Hashemi thought her husband had been “kidnapped” when he vanished from their Los Angeles County home Thursday and even called the police – before ICE agents returned to take them both into custody.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio withdrew the green cards for the son of ”Screaming Mary” Masoumeh Ebtekar, as well as his wife, Maryam Tahmasebi, and their young son just week after the arrest of the niece and grandniece of the late Iranian terrorist mastermind, Gen. Qasem Soleimani.

The family were arrested just days after The Post identified them living in luxury in Agoura Hills apartment ”The Avalon” on Monday.

Hashemi, an adjunct associate professor teaching at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, had refused to denounce his notorious mother when approached after a gym workout.

He had graduated from the University of Tehran in 2006 before moving to the US in 2010 to finish his PH.D in organizational leadership from The Chicago School.

Neighbors Saturday said they had no idea of the family’s connection to the Iranian regime, and didn’t even know what country they were from.

”They were panicking because they thought he’d been kidnapped,” Neighbor Natalie told The Post about the aftermath of his arrest on Thursday.

Hashemi had left his keys but still had his phone, allowing his family to track him, neighbors said.

“They said our father disappeared and that somebody basically came and picked him up grabbed him”

ICE later picked up Hashemi’s wife and son, although the details are unclear.

Hashemi’s mother, Ebtekar, “crafted propaganda falsely showing the humane treatment of the hostages, arranging staged interviews in which the American hostages were pressured to describe their treatment in positive terms – even as they were being held in solitary confinement, blindfolded and starved, and subjected to physical and psychological terror, including beatings and mock executions,” according to the State Department.

The State Department said the family’s right to live in the country was revoked in a bid to “never allow America to become a home for foreign nationals tied to anti-American terrorist regimes.”

The decision to cancel the visa follows a long-running campaign by anti-Iranian activists. --->READ MORE HERE

California Bar Strips John Eastman Of Livelihood For Representing A Client With Views It Dislikes:

Stripping Eastman of his livelihood sends a chilling message that representing a client with the ‘wrong’ views is career suicide in Democrat-led states.

The California Supreme Court upheld the disbarment of constitutional scholar and attorney John Eastman on Wednesday for representing President Donald Trump when he questioned the outcome of the 2020 election.

The California State Bar’s Office of Chief Trial Counsel investigated Eastman for advising Trump following the 2020 election. The bar association argued Eastman violated “ethical obligations” by representing Trump in the questioning of the 2020 election. As States United wrote, the bar alleged Eastman tried to “plan, promote, and assist then-President Trump in executing a strategy, unsupported by facts or law, to overturn the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election by obstructing the count of electoral votes of certain states.”

But this had nothing to do with “ethics” or even “crime,” and a review of the 11 charges the bar filed against Eastman shows they boil down to one thing: punishing Eastman for representing Trump and raising legitimate questions about the 2020 election results.

For example, one charge alleges Eastman acted with “moral turpitude, dishonesty, and corruption” when he went on Steve Bannon’s War Room to talk about absentee ballot fraud, according to States United. Ballot fraud did — and does — occur. In one example, Zul Mirza Mohamed was sentenced to four years in jail for forging mail-in ballot applications using residents’ names during a 2020 race in which he was a candidate. Ahead of the 2020 election, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) admitted there are a host of issues associated with mass mail-in voting, including difficulty in the “process of mailing and returning ballots,” “high number of improperly completed ballots,” and the “shortage of personnel to process ballots in a prompt manner.”

Another charge targets Eastman’s filing on behalf of his client (Trump) in Texas v. Pennsylvania before the Supreme Court. Texas challenged electoral votes from Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Michigan, arguing that changes to voting rules made by officials rather than the legislature were unconstitutional and therefore undermined the integrity of the results. The Supreme Court ultimately did not hear the case on standing but never ruled on the underlying claims.

Notably, then-Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar circumvented the state legislature when she unilaterally waived the signature verification process for mail-in ballots. The “two-tiered system of justice and of bar discipline” has struck again, as former Trump official Jeffrey Clark put it, with the corrupt courts in California disbarring constitutional lawyer John Eastman for representing his client.

Clark himself has been the target of that same system in Washington, D.C., where the “two-tiered” nature may be the most acute: Left-wing bars will disbar their political enemies, while simultaneously restoring the statuses of convicted Russiagate felons like former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith.

“John [Eastman] represented the President in litigation challenging an election. That’s all. He lied about nothing. Reasonable minds can disagree about the 2020 election,” Clark posted to social media. “He did what lawyers are supposed to do — represent disfavored individuals. And make no mistake, the elites, especially in bar apparatuses, disfavor and hate President Trump and anyone associated with him with a burning passion. No one representing Vice President Gore was disbarred for losing Bush v. Gore where the whole partial county-specific recount strategy Democrat lawyers devised there was ruled an unconstitutional violation of equal protection.”

Eastman lawfully challenged results in the 2020 election the left rigged in numerous ways. Eastman’s job — and any lawyer’s job — is to vigorously represent their clients, and for that, he was disbarred.

The targeting of Eastman has been ongoing for some time, and was always aimed at destroying his life and livelihood while ensuring that left-wing forces can block conservatives from having proper, robust legal representation.

“This is much bigger than my own bar license,” Eastman said in reaction to the disbarment. “What’s going on here is a leftist Marxist capture of our institutions and then weaponizing them to destroy any political opposition to the deep globalist state that is getting entrenched in this country.” --->READ MORE HERE

he U.S. Supreme Court held oral arguments on Wednesday in a high-profile case involving the removal of green card holders who commit crimes specified in U.S. immigration law.

In Blanche v. Lau, the justices considered the case of Muk Choi Lau, a Chinese national who was a lawful permanent resident (LPR) in the United States. Lau was charged with trademark counterfeiting in 2012 and left America while awaiting trial. Upon his return to the United States, immigration officials “declined to admit him outright and instead paroled him into the country pursuant” to a provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act, according to Oyez.

Lau ultimately pled guilty to the counterfeiting charge in 2013 and went on to challenge the U.S. government’s decision to parole him. The justices will decide the question of whether the government “must prove that it possessed clear and convincing evidence of the offense at the time of the LPR’s last reentry into the United States” to “remove an LPR who committed an offense listed in Section 1182(a)(2) [of the INA] and was subsequently paroled into the United States.”

Arguing on behalf of the Trump administration, Assistant to the Solicitor General Sopan Joshi contended that Lau had already committed a crime “involving moral turpitude” and was thus “eligible for parole and correctly charged with inadmissibility” upon his reentry into the country. He further argued that the government “proved [all of this] by clear and convincing evidence in [Lau’s] removal proceedings,” and that the “failure” by the Chinese national’s legal team “to establish his at-the-border clear-and-convincing evidentiary requirement dooms his case.”

Several of the high court’s Democrat appointees did not hide their apparent skepticism of the administration’s position.

Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor repeatedly interrogated Joshi over his arguments surrounding removal proceedings for LPRs like Lau. At one point, her refusal to permit Joshi to answer her questions prompted Chief Justice John Roberts to interject and allow him to respond.

Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson espoused fears of “a world in which a government that really is not interested in immigration and having immigrants here, living and working, could use this kind of thing to inappropriately parole people rather than admit them so that it depresses immigration.” Associate Justice Elena Kagan, on the other hand, pressed Joshi on possible effects his “clear-and-convincing evidence” argument would have on related removal proceedings. --->READ MORE HERE

SCOTUS to Hear Immigration Case on Green Card Holders Charged With Crimes:

The Supreme Court will hear arguments on Wednesday regarding removal proceedings against an immigrant legally in the United States, charged with counterfeiting.

The case has the potential to affect the operations of Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and immigration courts, said Art Arthur, resident fellow in law and policy at the Center for Immigration Studies.

“If the Supreme Court affirms the 2nd Circuit, it will make it much more difficult for ICE and border agents to determine that a green card holder with a criminal offense coming back into the United States is inadmissible,” Arthur, a former immigration judge, told The Daily Signal. “This could potentially impact the capacity to keep terrorists out of the U.S.”

The case itself has an interesting backstory, as the plaintiff, Muk Choi Lau, a Chinese national, was charged with counterfeiting before leaving the country but was convicted after returning and being placed on parole.

The case is Blanche v. Lau, renamed for Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche after initially being Bondi v. Lau for former Attorney General Pam Bondi.

There are two key questions in the case, Arthur said.

“First, will immigration officers or immigration judges make a determination if a person is inadmissible?” Arthur said. “Second, the court will decide whether a parole decision is reviewable by the courts.”

Lau, a lawful permanent resident in the United States, was charged in May 2012 on New Jersey state charges for selling almost $300,000 worth of knockoff Coogi shorts, according to SCOTUSblog. --->READ MORE HERE

When fraud wears the mask of virtue.

Alfred Hitchcock’s Jamaica Inn may be one of his least discussed masterpieces, but it is also one of his most politically disturbing and horrifying. Adapted from Daphne du Maurier’s novel and released in 1939, the film stars a vivacious, young Maureen O’Hara and Charles Laughton. It was Hitchcock’s last British film before moving to Hollywood. The plot centers on a gang of wreckers and plunderers who work out of a commonplace country inn to lure unsuspecting ships to disaster and then loot the dead and dying. The true terror of the film lies not simply in the violence of the thieves, but in the sinister structure behind their plunder.
The true evil is not the brute in the tavern but the respectable shadowy figure above him, the man of standing whose authority, polish, and public legitimacy conceal a far more ominous role. Charles Laughton’s country squire is frightening precisely because he is not outside the system; he is the system’s smiling face. It is ultimately revealed that Laughton’s respected country squire, in fact, secretly heads the band of menacing cutthroat pirates.

That is why Jamaica Inn resonates today and feels so contemporary. It understands that corruption is rarely presented to the public as corruption; it comes draped in benevolence, authority, emergency, and guidance. Many a ship’s captain does not crash because they have been warned of danger, but rather because they have been deceived, guided astray by a signal pretending to give them safe passage. The false beacon is what makes the wreck possible. That is the ultimate metaphor for American public life in 2026. We are not merely confronting isolated scandals; we’re confronting a style of governance in which respectable rhetoric and moral posturing often provide cover for organized plunder.

Minnesota is one of the clearest examples of this. The Feeding Our Future case was not a petty fraud, in fact, The Department of Justice described it as a $250 million scheme in which defendants exploited federally funded child-nutrition programs, using fake meal counts, sham sites, shell companies, kickbacks, and laundering to siphon off money meant for poor children. Prosecutors also said the defendants took advantage of pandemic-era program changes, including waivers that expanded flexibility and allowed for-profit restaurants and off-site distribution to participate.

The Ilhan Omar connection is not that prosecutors charged her, they haven’t so far. That distinction matters, but it would be naïve to ignore the broader political atmosphere surrounding the scandal. Ilhan Omar sponsored the 2020 MEALS ACT, which expanded waiver authority for meal programs during the pandemic, and that her campaign later accepted $5,400 from two men named in FBI affidavits tied to the Feeding Our Future investigation before donating the money away “out of an abundance of caution.” Later, Omar said she did not regret backing the law, insisting it helped feed children. That is exactly the point. The false beacon is never sold as greed; it’s dressed up as compassionate charity or government assistance.

In Jamaica Inn, the moral horror deepens as the onion layers are peeled back. First there is rough criminality, then coordination, then the revelation that the man nearest law and order is bound up with the wrecking and plundering itself. The Minnesota scandal carries the same unnerving, staggering logic. It is not just that thieves found an opening; it’s that the opening existed inside a political culture that treated loosened safeguards as virtue and scrutiny as suspicion. When leaders speak in the language of emergency benevolence but recoil from accountability, they become custodians of the fog. They do not need to loot with their own hands, their role is subtler and, in some ways, more dangerous: they help create the atmosphere in which looting can flourish.

That is why the responsibility cannot end with the defendants. Minnesota’s Office of the Legislative Auditor found that the Department of Education’s actions and inactions created opportunities for massive fraud, even after warning signs emerged. Reuters has reported that the scandal grew into a political crisis serious enough that Tim Walz made it a central issue in early 2026, first saying he would focus on the welfare-fraud scandal and later proposing a broader anti-fraud package. But that only underscores the problem. Leadership acted with urgency once the scandal had fully burst into public view. The deeper question is why the urgency was not there sooner.

California offers the other side of the same story. If Minnesota shows how emergency flexibility can be exploited, California shows what happens when dysfunction becomes chronic and accountability dissolves into endless managerial language. In April 2024, the California State Auditor concluded that the state “must do more” to assess the cost-effectiveness of its homelessness programs and lacked sufficient information on costs and outcomes across major initiatives. In its December 2025 high-risk report, the auditor also kept the Employment Development Department on the high-risk list, saying it continued to struggle with improper unemployment-insurance payments, including fraudulent payments. The state auditor said improper UI payments totaled roughly $1.5 billion across 2023 and 2024 combined. --->READ MORE HERE

Virginia Democrats’ Power Grab Is A Giant Middle Finger To Rural Americans:

Democrats often claim they want to win over rural voters. Yet when it comes to hiding their scorn for them, they’re hopelessly incontinent.

When most Democrats today use the phrase “our democracy,” they mean not a democracy for everyone but one exclusively for them. And Virginia’s ballot question on redistricting is the latest proof.

The ballot question is not merely a political power play. First and foremost, it’s an act of contempt for voters and the voting process itself. It’s naked disdain for the democracy they’re always pretending to care about.

Second, it serves as a censorship tool because it’s meant to deliberately erase the voices of half of Virginians, particularly those living in rural areas who will lose any chance at being represented in Congress. Rather than the 6-5 edge they have now, a margin that more closely reflects the popular voting patterns in the state, the Democrats in Richmond are aiming for a 10-1 advantage. Virginia Republicans might as well live in San Francisco or Mayor Mamdani’s New York.

We can all predict what will happen next. Just like the People’s Republic of Maryland, Democrats will later try to oust that very last Republican member of Congress so Virginia becomes a one-party state. As with all totalitarians, that’s the game plan. And like all totalitarians, they couch their goals in Orwellian verbiage like “fairness.” Just read this joke of a ballot question for yourself:

Question: Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia’s standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?

Fairness? Give us a break. Temporary? Yeah, sure. No doubt Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger also has a bridge to sell over the Poop-tomac River to go along with the “temporary” status of this gerrymandering scheme. Compare the two maps below. How Republicans Surrendered Virginia To Left-Wing Colonizers:

Out-of-state money, anemic GOP candidate recruitment, apathy toward local elections, and emotion-laden propaganda led Virginia to this point.

Virginia Democrats are swooning over the prospect of wiping out congressional representation for the overwhelming majority of Republicans in the state if voters pass their April 21 gerrymandering referendum. As I wrote here at The Federalist, that ballot question drips with contempt for rural voters as well as the “democracy” Democrats pretend to care about.

How did things change so fast? What’s behind Democrats’ cockiness to behave with impunity like Soviet apparatchiks? Normal Americans are still scratching their heads over the outcome of Virginia’s 2025 election that handed over the governorship and a massive statehouse majority to the Democrats. They especially wonder how Jay Jones easily won his election for state attorney general despite openly fantasizing about the murder of his Republican colleague and two young children. Not long ago, such creepiness would have totally collapsed any American candidate’s campaign.

We can attribute a lot of this current insanity to the usual suspects: a coarsening of the culture, the dumbing down of the electorate, the lackluster campaign of the Republican gubernatorial candidate, and probably a certain degree of election rigging enabled by some 45 days of early voting, mail-in voting, and ballot harvesting.

But let’s look more deeply at a few other factors that have led Virginia to this point. They include out-of-state money, anemic GOP candidate recruitment, apathy toward local elections, and emotion-laden propaganda.

Money and Campaigning from out of State

Virginia is just one of many states targeted with piles of out-of-state dark money, such as George Soros’ funds, to create one-party states. That’s pretty obvious, especially when we see Virginia voters receiving postcards pushing for a “Yes” vote on a redistricting referendum that are postmarked from places like Oakland and Santa Ana, California.

The Federalist’s Breccan Thies has covered various aspects of out-of-state meddling and dark-money propaganda used to push this referendum. One example is a faux newspaper called The Virginia Independent that has left-wing influence written all over it. Another is former President Barack Obama’s inability to retire from his constant political badgering.

Anemic GOP Candidate Recruitment

Democrats did not allow a single one of the 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates to go unchallenged in the 2025 election, not even in deep-red districts. In contrast, Virginia Republicans allowed 16 of the 100 House seats to go unchallenged, effectively handing over those seats to the Democrats who could then concentrate their money and energy on tighter races.

The result? The Democrats gained 13 seats, leading to a 64-36 Democrat majority in the House of Delegates. They had previously held a slim 51-49 majority. GOP leadership could have worked a little bit toward minimizing losses if they had simply made sure every single district at least had a “placeholder” challenging the Democrats, no matter how blue the district. Why didn’t they? It was probably a matter of sloth or betrayal. You decide.

ICE arrests ‘sicko’ illegal migrant accused of kidnapping 4-year-old girl from Long Island laundromat:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has rearrested an illegal immigrant accused of kidnapping a 4-year-old girl from a Long Island laundromat last month after a local judge released the alleged creep back into the community.

Carlos Corte-Corte, an illegal immigrant from Ecuador, was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on March 31 and placed in removal proceedings, DHS revealed Monday.

Corte-Corte, 38, allegedly led the young girl out the back of the Laundry Kingdom in Patchogue on March 28 while her unsuspecting mother was there, according to Suffolk County Police, who later found the tot at a nearby library.

Suffolk cops quickly arrested him on charges of second-degree kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a child and for an outstanding warrant. A local judge freed him the following day on supervised release.

DHS, in a statement, fumed that after Corte-Corte’s initial arrest, “sanctuary politicians released him from jail back into the community.”

Corte-Corte illegally entered the country on at least three occasions in 2020, according to DHS, and was removed each time.

He illegally re-entered the US a fourth time at an unknown place and time before the alleged kidnapping attempt.

“This three-time deported criminal illegal alien, Carlos Corte-Corte, kidnapped an innocent four-year-old girl from a laundromat on Long Island. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained an illegal immigrant who was released back into the community after allegedly kidnapping a 4-year-old girl from a laundromat in New York.

The Department of Homeland Security told Fox News Digital that Carlos Corte-Corte, of Ecuador, was taken into custody by ICE on March 31 and placed into removal proceedings following the reported March 28 incident at Laundry Kingdom in Patchogue.

The Suffolk County Police Department said that, "While a woman was with her two children at a laundromat, located at 138 East Main St., Carlos-Corte, who was unknown to the woman, led her 4-year-old daughter out the back exit of the laundromat, at 12:08 p.m." on March 28.

"Her mother reported her missing, and patrol officers responded to the scene, where they reviewed surveillance video and began canvassing the area. During the search, the mother located her daughter in the children’s play area of the Patchogue-Medford Library, located at 54-60 East Main St. A patrol officer then located Corte near the laundromat and took him into custody," police added.

The lies - and cowardice - of a onetime cable news darling of the Right.

Tucker Carlson, the onetime cable news darling of the Right, lost his mind around the time he was fired by Fox News on April 24, 2023. He has evinced this in countless ways — including his now-infamous fight with a demon, which he seems to have lost. But perhaps the most obvious symptom of Carlson’s brain rot is his yearslong soft jihad, now waged with increased fervency, to inject and normalize Islam within the cultural and political bloodstream of the overwhelmingly Christian American Right.

Recently, Carlson has repeatedly taken to praising sharia law and suggesting Islam and its totalitarian legal code offer an inspiring moral clarity in contrast with today’s Western decadence. He has visited virtually seemingly every country in the Arab world, produced propaganda films for a few of them, and even announced his intention to buy a house a Qatar. He has called Hamas not a jihadist but a political organization, said he’d apologize to the family of Osama bin Laden, and has severely downplayed the Americans who have been killed in recent decades by Islamism. And earlier this week, the eponymous Tucker Carlson Network, in a seemingly earnest post better suited for a satirical Babylon Bee headline, offered this cherry on top: “Muslims love Jesus.”

In short, Carlson is now leading a conscientious effort to aggressively promote Islam on the American Right. Reasonable minds can disagree as to why he is doing so. Perhaps he secretly converted. Perhaps Carlson’s undeniable hatred of the Jews is really that acute and debilitating. Perhaps he is cashing out and even defying the Foreign Agents Registration Act. Maybe it’s a combination of these causes. And frankly, to no small extent, who cares?

Because regardless: This is flaming garbage. And it must be rejected as such. Fundamentally, Islam and sharia are wildly incompatible with Western civilization, which is the offshoot of the ecumenical biblical inheritance. The history of Christian-Islamic relations tells a long and often bitter record of conflict, competition and occasional outright persecution. From the early centuries of Islamic expansionism all the way through modern times, the relationship between Christendom and the Islamic world has rarely been tranquil.

We can go at least as far back as the Crusades. The Crusades are frequently caricatured as unprovoked Christian aggression. In reality, they were a complex response to conquests that, in the first centuries of Islam, had already overtaken large swaths of historically Christian (and, in the case of the Holy Land, Jewish) territory. These campaigns were at least as much about reclaiming conquered territory as they were about imperialist religious zeal.

Fast-forward a few centuries to the 17th-century Battle of Vienna, when the expansionist ambitions of the Ottoman Empire brought Islamic armies to the very gates of Central Europe. The successful defense of Vienna marked a turning point, halting further Ottoman advance into the heart of European Christendom. This was not merely a geopolitical victory but a civilizational one too — a triumph for the Bible over sharia. This pattern persisted into the early modern era. The First and Second Barbary Wars — often relegated to footnotes in American history classrooms — were direct confrontations with North African Muslim pirates who enslaved, pillaged and extracted unjust tributes from Western nations. To this day, the well-known U.S. Marines’ Hymn references these conflicts in its early reference to the “shores of Tripoli.” These early-republic standoffs between Americans and Muslim African pirates are part of our national lore. --->READ MORE HERE

Tucker Carlson is now shilling for jihadis:

Perhaps the only thing worse than Tucker Carlson’s deranged understanding of history is his deranged understanding of theology.

“The people in charge don’t want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus,” the Iranian regime’s top fanboy recently tweeted, later noting that this was why President Donald Trump’s meme “depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran.”

Indeed, Jesus is a prophet in Islam. In the Hadith, Muhammad promises that when Jesus returns, He will “break the cross” and establish Islam as the sole faith of the world. The Iranian “president” loves a Jesus that not only doesn’t exist in Christianity but promises to destroy it. This seems like useful context.

That’s a theological position. Shia extremists in Iran aren’t the only people who reject a messianic Jesus, after all. But if the Iranian rulers have such high esteem for Jesus, why is conversion or proselytization of Christianity an apostasy punishable by death? Numerous fatwas issued by Iranian clerics, including one from the recently retired “supreme leader” Ali Khamenei, impose the death penalty on any males and life imprisonment on women who reject Islam.

Preaching the Gospels is considered a “deviant educational” activity in Carlson’s beloved Iran. And because Christianity is gaining popularity underground, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard regularly raids the homes and churches, often arbitrarily arresting and sometimes torturing their prey. In 2023, the regime imprisoned 96 Christians, 22 of them getting 43-year sentences apiece. All of them were convicted of theological crimes.

One wonders if the Armenian and Assyrian Christians of Iran are more offended by puerile and offensive memes from American leaders than by life in an Iranian prison.

The Islamic Republic isn’t unique in its view of apostasy. Afghanistan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Sudan, and many others maintain legal penalties for apostasy, which include proselytization and conversion. Last September, Pastor Jason Howard of the Sanctuary Church in Pittsburgh saw a surge of young people flocking to his Christian congregation, the week after Charlie Kirk was murdered.
Howard knew that something had shifted. Yes, their congregation had always been predominantly youth-driven, but this was different. Lines began to form for their services. Public transportation was dropping off children by the busload from campuses across the city, and he knew that he had an obligation to expand. Howard teamed up with local college students at the University of Pittsburgh, and a revival called Pitt Purposes was held on campus, attracting about 600 students and led by members of the university’s football team.

But the youth movement didn’t pause. In fact, it grew, leading to last week’s revival at the University of Pittsburgh’s Peterson Center that attracted thousands and included hundreds of baptisms, most in pickup trucks.

Howard said that after Pitt for Jesus happened in the fall, they really wanted to do a follow-up. “Our hope was that we could do something big like at the Petersen Event Center,” he said.

Jake Overman, the captain of the Pitt football team, reached out to Unite Us, a ministry that has partnered with university students to organize big arena events at college campuses. Overman, who might get drafted or picked up as a free agent in next month’s draft in Pittsburgh, led the Pitt for Jesus movement last fall.

There is one catch: Unite Us almost exclusively does events below the Mason-Dixon line. Nonetheless, they secured the Petersen Event Center, located in the middle of the Oakland Campus, and Overman and an army of students began canvassing the local campuses here for turnout.

There are several universities and colleges in the Pittsburgh area: Carnegie Mellon, Duquesne, Robert Morris, LaRoche, Point Park, Carlow, Chatham and Allegheny Community College.

By the time the event happened last week, over 5,000 young people were in attendance, with several hundred of them choosing to be baptized that evening.

They are not alone. For the first time in decades, faith in this country is growing, not retreating — particularly among our young people, something that I’ve been reporting for the past year. In my rural parish, a Roman Catholic Church in the Diocese of Greensburg, our attendance has nearly doubled since last fall. Unless you get to Mass at least 15 minutes before services begin, you are left standing for the entire service — and that is with added folding chairs in the back, along the side, and with the choir pews above us filled.

This week alone, across the Diocese of Greensburg, over 200 people, young and not so young, will be welcomed and fully initiated into our Catholic community. Eighty-three of those individuals will be baptized, confirmed, and receive the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. One hundred seventeen candidates who are already baptized in either the Catholic Church or another Christian denomination will be confirmed and receive the Holy Eucharist for the first time.

On Sunday, the Mother of Sorrows parish, which is also part of the Diocese of Greensburg, also had standing-room-only services on Palm Sunday. This has become the norm every Sunday. All three parking lots were packed, with cars straddling the grass leading down to the highway. Nearby Dick’s Diner was also filled with parishioners.

The surge in Roman Catholic Church converts is being felt across the United States. Dioceses in the Rust Belt, Midwest and Bible Belt are seeing record numbers of people received into the Catholic Church. Last fall, The New York Times reported that the Archdioceses of Detroit, Galveston-Houston and Des Moines are also seeing significant increases.
Ryan Burge, the research director of My Faith Counts, a nonprofit nondenominational organization comprised of faith communities from across the country, noted that new data show that the share of Americans who are nonreligious has dropped for the third year in a row, with atheists and agnostics down to 5% each. India: Muslim Tries Twice to Open the Emergency Door Mid-Flight

A routine domestic flight became tense after a Muslim passenger tried to open the emergency exit door twice, requiring crew intervention and an aborted landing on March 29, 2026. The incident on an IndiGo flight from Bengaluru to Varanasi shows the unpredictable nature of aviation threats, from disruptions by jihad-minded individuals to global attacks.

Mohammad Adnan from Uttar Pradesh’s Mau district was traveling for personal reasons and boarded the flight without any initial issue. The flight departed normally from Bengaluru, and was calm for the first several minutes. About 15 to 20 minutes in, the crew noticed strange movement near an emergency exit, as Adnan attempted to tamper with the door. Flight attendants intervened quickly, preventing further disruption. Passengers nearby grew anxious, but the crew calmly contained the situation. When questioned, Adnan claimed it was accidental or due to curiosity. He was warned and monitored for the rest of the flight.

The situation seemed stable for a while. The flight continued without incident until descent into Varanasi at about 500 feet. Adnan tried to open the emergency exit again. This time, the cabin crew alerted the cockpit, and pilots aborted the landing.

In aviation terms, the aircraft executed a “go-around,” which means the pilots aborted their initial landing approach and climbed back into the air to gain safe altitude before attempting another landing. These are standard safety procedures, typically carried out in response to technical issues or problems with the runway, and not usually because an Adnan chose to interfere with the flight’s mechanism. The decision underscored the seriousness of the threat that the crew perceived.

The flight, carrying over 100 passengers, experienced moments of panic as repeated attempts to tamper with the emergency exit unsettled those on board, leaving many shaken before the crew brought the situation under control.

The aircraft eventually landed safely at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport after the situation was brought under control. Adnan was immediately detained by security personnel and handed over to authorities for further questioning. During interrogation, he reportedly claimed that he had been “possessed by a ghost,” implying that the ghosts were trying to open the door. Though it may seem comical to many, it could equally be a calculated attempt to portray mental instability and thereby evade scrutiny or diminish the gravity of the incident, as has been seen in multiple cases where Muslims have resorted to such excuses after being caught engaging in violent, nefarious, and jihadist acts. --->READ MORE HERE

Man Tries To Open Emergency Door On IndiGo Flight, Says He Was "Possessed By Ghost":

The attempt was made just moments before landing at Varanasi airport.

Things turned spooky aboard an IndiGo flight on Saturday when a passenger tried to open the emergency exit door minutes before landing, later claiming he was "possessed by a ghost".

IndiGo flight 6E-185 from Bengaluru to Varanasi took off from Bengaluru around 8:15 pm, and among the passengers was a man named Mohammad Adnan, a resident of Mau district in Uttar Pradesh. Officials said just 15 minutes into the journey, Adnan attempted to tamper with the emergency door. The cabin crew detected the attempt, were told it was a mistake and warned the passenger not to repeat the action.

Adnan behaved normally for the rest of the flight until around 10.20 pm, just moments before the aircraft was about to touch down at Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. With the plane 500 feet in the air, Adnan tried to open the emergency exit door once again. Officials said that upon being alerted by the crew, the pilot demonstrated quick thinking and aborted that landing attempt.

A go-around was conducted and the plane landed at 10.35 pm.

The officials said passengers were left shaken by Adnan's actions and thanked the crew for carrying out a safe landing.

In line with protocol, Adnan was immediately handed over to the airline's security personnel and the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force). The police were informed and a case was registered against him. --->READ MORE HERE

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 144 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops, with the enemy focusing most of its efforts on the Pokrovske direction.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00 on 04/23/2026 on Facebook .

"In total, 144 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. The enemy carried out 52 air strikes, dropped 176 guided bombs. In addition, it involved 3,139 kamikaze drones for destruction and carried out 1,936 shelling of settlements and positions of our troops," the publication notes.

According to the General Staff, in the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 67 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, two of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units five times in the directions of the settlements of Zelene, Lyman, Bochkovo and in the area of the settlement of Synelnykovo.

In the Kupyansk direction, our defenders repelled five enemy assaults towards the settlements of Radkivka, Podoli, Kurylivka, Novoosinove, and Hlushkivka. Another battle is ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers stopped three attempts by the invaders to advance towards Lyman.

A Couple of Muslims Walked into a Bar

But it was no joke.

It was a beautiful spring day in the brave new France, and so a couple of New Frenchmen decided to go into a bar. They did not, however, have cold beer, or this being France, a cool glass of white wine, on their minds.

The French-language publication Sud Ouest reported on Monday that “two brothers in their forties threatened to kill bar patrons in the name of Allah on Friday, April 10, in Mauléon-Licharre, in the Basque Country. They will be tried in June for violence and death threats, as the prosecution did not pursue a terrorist charge.” Celebrate diversity! Or as they put it in France these days, احتفوا بالتنوع!

As you might expect, however, not everyone had diversity at the very top of his mind when the scene in the bar unfolded. Up until the Muslim brothers entered, it had been a supremely pleasant evening: “On Friday, April 10, around 10:30 p.m., while about ten people were peacefully seated on the terrace of this lively bar in downtown Mauléon-Licharre, in the Basque Country, two heavily intoxicated individuals arrived.”

Those were the two Muslim brothers, who, despite having apparently imbibed the alcohol that Allah had forbidden, remembered their devotion to Allah long enough to start issuing threats, which “deeply affected the bar’s patrons and manager.”

It seems that “the situation quickly escalated between these two brothers, both in their forties, and some of the bar’s customers, before spiraling out of control. One of them grabbed a knife from a charcuterie board, making threats. Customers immediately took it from him. The two men, of Algerian origin, left and then returned with broken bottles, ready to fight. According to several witnesses, they then made death threats in the name of their God: ‘Allahu Akbar,’ ‘Allah is strong,’ and ‘Allah will kill,’ they reportedly said repeatedly.”

“Allah will kill” is an interesting thing for them to have said. Majority Of Voters Want The SAVE America Act Passed Before The Midterms, Poll Finds:

A majority of voters support the SAVE America Act and want Congress to pass it before the midterms in November, a March Harvard CAPS/Harris poll found. The majority of respondents also support other election integrity requirements, like counting ballots within 24 hours after Election Day, removing noncitizens from the voter rolls, and even allowing states to share voting records with the Department of Homeland Security.

The Harvard CAPS/Harris poll is conducted monthly. Last month’s survey, conducted March 25-26, included 2,009 respondents identified as “registered voters.”

Much of leftist media outlets’ coverage surrounding the SAVE America Act — which would require documentary proof of citizenship when registering to vote and voter ID in federal elections — fearmongers that the legislation would essentially disenfranchise voters en masse by enacting these common-sense safeguards. The recent Harvard/Harris poll suggests that Americans aren’t as worried about that as the corporate press would have you think.

The poll found that an overwhelming majority of respondents — 68 percent — still support all the main provisions of the SAVE America Act, including 45 percent of Democrats and 90 percent of Republicans. Interestingly, 54 percent of respondents — including more than a third of Democrats — agree that it is more important to “do everything possible to stop voter fraud and illegal immigrants from voting” than it is to ensure that “eligible citizens aren’t denied the ability to vote.”

Nearly 60 percent of respondents want the SAVE America Act passed into law before the 2026 midterms. Sources: SAVE America Act Not Dead Yet, ‘Still The Pending Business In The Senate’:

A Capitol Hill source says Rep. Anna Paulina Luna’s assertion that John Thune is done with the election-integrity bill ‘is not true.’:

Senate Majority Leader John Thune has no intention of abandoning the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act, a source familiar with the bill process told The Federalist.

On Monday afternoon, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., posted on her X account that Thune is washing his hands of the critical election integrity reform bill supported by the vast majority of Americans.

“Just so America knows, after two weeks in recess, John Thune is no longer considering the SAVE America Act,” Luna wrote.

The congressional source with knowledge of the situation told The Federalist on Monday evening that Luna’s comment “is not true.” He said the bill, which requires documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote and photo identification at the polls, is “still the pending business in the Senate.”

“We will be considering ICE and Border Patrol funding followed by FISA, all priorities of the president,” the congressional insider wrote in an email to The Federalist. “The senate can always return to SAVE after considering those items. We started debating it five weeks ago.”

‘If We Don’t Have Other Pressing Stuff’

Luna’s assertion seemed to have some supporting evidence.

An X post Monday by Punchbowl News’ Andrew Desiderio raised concerns that the SAVE America Act was doomed. Desiderio reported the Senate “is off the bill this week and may not return to it any time soon, if at all.” Thune reportedly told Punchbowl’s Laura Weiss that the Senate has “other pressing stuff” to take care of.

“If we don’t have other pressing stuff in front of us that has to get done … then we’ll see about getting that going,” Thune said, according to the reporter’s X post.

The Senate Majority Leader did, seemingly against the odds, bring the bill to the Senate floor — on St. Patrick’s Day — and ensured that it would at least receive a “full and robust debate”. The South Dakota Republican pulled a procedural lever to get around the “silent filibuster,” the Senate’s lazy practice of forestalling floor debate. So Republicans and Democrats spent the first several days delivering speeches, the right on the 80/20 issue that is voter ID, the left hyperbolically calling the election integrity reforms “Jim Crow 2.0.”

“Missing through more than a week of debate were the all-nighter speeches, marathon orations, and back-to-back lawmakers demanding floor time that some had hoped to see,” Roll Call reporter Savannah Behrmann wrote 10 days after the bill hit the floor.

Thune’s maneuver allows the Senate to take up other business and go back to the SAVE America Act. As long as it remains in play, there’s still a chance — remote as it may be — for enough Democrats feeling enough pressure to join Republicans in getting to the 60 votes needed to break cloture and then pass the bill by a simple majority vote.

In the meantime, MQ9 Reaper drones established a secure perimeter and U.S. forces were able to rescue him.

In a Truth Social post, President Donald Trump said the airman “was never truly alone because his Commander in Chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and fellow Warfighters were monitoring his location 24 hours a day, and diligently planning for his rescue.”

Americans can and will continue to debate the war in Iran. But what is not debatable is the competence on display of our military and its leaders during Saturday’s rescue mission. This rescue mission stands as a stark indictment of the generation of top brass who preceded it — the same admirals and generals who spent decades losing wars and abandoning Americans in times of need — all the while retaining their Washington, D.C. accolades.

On September 11, 2012, Islamist militants attacked the US embassy in Benghazi. The attack lasted hours, during which Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty were killed. Investigations from the House Select Committee on Benghazi found that the U.S. military response was slow and inadequate. Available special operations and air forces were not deployed with anything remotely suggesting urgency, and there was poor coordination between the Pentagon, State Department, and intelligence community.

Iranian military was closing in as the overnight operation found the F-15 crew member roughly 48 hours after ejection

The daring U.S. military rescue of a seriously wounded airman is being hailed as an American success story, as President Donald Trump announced "we got him!" and detailed the "AMAZING show of bravery and talent," turning a potential American setback into a show of might.

Details about the rescue are trickling in, including senior administration officials telling Fox News how the CIA deflected enemy attention with a "deception campaign."

The CIA spread word in Iran through multiple sources that U.S. forces had already found the second of two airmen who ejected from their F-15, and were moving him out of Iran in a maritime exfiltration elsewhere, sources told Fox News, but that was designed to buy time to find the stranded weapons system officer.

The CIA picked up a distress signal, passing the intelligence on to the Pentagon and White House, which ordered the immediate rescue mission, according to sources.

There was initial fear the "beacon signal" was an Iranian "trap," sources said.

"There was a lot at stake here," the source said.

Once the CIA confirmed Saturday morning that this was not a trap, the missing airman was located using advanced technical capabilities.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe informed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Dan "Raizin'" Caine and, ultimately, Trump.

"Within eight hours, we had planes in motion," the source said. "Within almost 12 hours we were on the ground in Iran.

"We've seen before what they do with prisoners. We were going to expend every effort to make sure we got to him first."

The U.S. used MQ9 Reaper drones to protect the area around where the airman was hiding and fired on anything that came close to that area and any area where U.S. forces were operating to prevent crowds or any Iranians from approaching, sources confirmed to Fox News.

"We executed multiple large-scale strikes in the surrounding area using every tactical jet in the U.S. inventory and B-1 Bombers to keep him safe," according to a senior U.S. official.

Trump saluted the complex operation to exfiltrate the "highly respected colonel."

"We have rescued the seriously wounded, and really brave, F-15 Crew Member/Officer, from deep inside the mountains of Iran," Trump wrote Sunday morning on Truth Social, announcing an Oval Office news conference set for 1 p.m. ET Monday. The U.S.–Israel Alliance is a Strategic Bargain:

One ally holds the line — for all of us.

Aid to Israel is not charity. It is one of the most profitable strategic investments the United States has ever made — and a prototype of Trump’s vision for the rest of our alliances.
There is a small but vocal strain of “America Only” commentary that endlessly repeats a falsehood: “We get nothing from our aid to Israel.”

Au contraire, mon frère.

The truth is, America’s alliance with Israel is not a favor or a handout. It is a major pillar of American strength. It’s a strategic investment, an extraordinarily inexpensive way for the United States to buy intelligence, military innovation, strategic reach, regional leverage, and a reliable democratic ally in the most dangerous and unstable region on earth.

Even if you strip away every moral, cultural, religious, historical, and civilizational consideration — and there are many — the U.S.-Israeli alliance would make overwhelming sense on the coldest possible national-interest grounds.

Israel is not merely an ally. It is a force multiplier. It makes American power cheaper, smarter, and more effective than it could be otherwise.

And that points to something larger still. Israel is not just a valuable ally. It is the prototype of Trump’s vision for the rest of our alliances. A competent, heavily armed, technologically sophisticated regional partner that can handle the ordinary threats in its own neighborhood without direct American intervention. That allows the United States to support with depth, integration, and intelligence, while retaining the ability to apply decisive power when the threat is too large for any local state, or even several acting together, to handle alone.

This worked in the 12-Day War. Donald Trump wants to make it work in Europe and Asia as well, standing up our allies as partners, not dependents.

That is certainly how NATO should work, but too often has not. That is how Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Australia should work, and increasingly do. That is what a sane American alliance system looks like: not dependence, but partnership; not protectorates, but pillars. Pillars capable of securing their own regions under normal circumstances, so America doesn’t have to do all the lifting, defend everywhere at once, and spend itself into oblivion.

In a world like that, America becomes dramatically stronger. America can concentrate force. America can choose its moments. America can remain the arsenal, the backstop, the guarantor, and the finisher — without also serving as the “policeman of the world.”

Netanyahu’s Israel is the proof of that concept.

Israel Handles Threats Before America Has To

America spends an average of $3.8 billion a year on Israel, or one-fiftieth (1/50) of what we’ve sent Ukraine. Hardly any of that leaves the United States: almost all of it goes to U.S. defense contractors for joint U.S.-Israeli projects. The critics speak as if America is “giving” Israel money. “Partnership” is the correct term, and we’re picking up our share of the bill.

In Washington terms, $3.8 billion is a rounding error, a fraction of our spending on Ukraine and barely more than one-third (1/3) of what we spend on Somali daycare fraud (“Learing Centers”) in Minnesota alone (and wait ’til you see Gavin Newsom’s California!).

By stark contrast, the money we send Israel actually buys something.

One of the least appreciated benefits is this: Israel often acts quickly when America would otherwise be forced to act later, but at a far higher cost.

When Israel destroyed Saddam Hussein’s nuclear weapons program in 1981, the whole world howled. But for America to do the same thing would have risked a global war with the Soviet empire. When Israel destroyed Syria’s reactor in 2007, it did the world a similar favor, as became even more apparent once the country fell into civil war. Israel’s repeated covert and overt actions against Iran’s nuclear program, weapons pipelines, terror networks, and proxy infrastructure have likewise delayed, degraded, or disrupted threats that otherwise would have required war ten to twenty years sooner.
The contribution is not theoretical. Israel kills terrorists. Israel degrades missile programs. Israel disrupts arms transfers. Israel penetrates enemy networks. Israel destroys strategic threats before they mature. And every time it does, America benefits.

The alternative is not some peaceful vacuum. There are no vacuums in geopolitics. There are only spaces one power controls until another power fills them.

When America retreats, Iran advances. When America hesitates, Russia probes. When America grows confused, China arrives with money, ports, telecom networks, surveillance systems, and diplomatic cover. That is the actual choice-set. The world does not freeze while Washington holds seminars and struggle sessions.

Israel helps prevent that outcome in the Middle East by being the one country in the region both willing and able to confront the West’s enemies on a daily basis. And because Israel does so with its own soldiers rather than ours, the United States spends far less blood and treasure.

This is the point the anti-Israel Right keeps missing. They speak as if support for Israel “drags” America into war. In fact, a strong Israel is essential to keep America out of unnecessary wars. Indeed, in all of history, only in the last year have U.S. and Israeli forces felt the need to fight side by side in any offensive war.

Israel handles threats locally, with local knowledge, local stakes, and local force. It absorbs pressure that would otherwise move outward. It is not a drag on American power or wealth: it costs less than a single U.S. submarine every year. It is a substitute for American power in precisely those contingencies that should be handled regionally if at all possible, and without an American footprint.

Should You Have to Show Your Face to Run for Office?

Muslim Burka-wearing candidate wants to be the first faceless politician in the UK.

Some politicians are accused of being two-faced, but one candidate for office in the UK has no face. Fajila Patel wants to be the first faceless politician by getting elected wearing a burka.
Newspapers claim that Fajila is 36-years-old and a mother of four, but critics argue that it could really be anyone under there. Her ‘Niqab’is one of the most extreme versions of the garment that some people associate with the ‘burka’, spread out of Saudi Arabia and covers everything except the eyes. (Some Muslims insist on also partly or entirely covering the eyes of women.)

In the UK, which already appears to be run by faceless bureaucracies, elected officials are supposed to offer what the Czechs had very briefly called “socialism with a human face”. But what happens when the socialists with a human face are replaced by faceless Islamists?

Fajila, or whoever is under there at any given time, had already run for office and lost back in 2022 to another Pakistani candidate in an area that is 84% Muslim. And even they weren’t quite ready for the election being in the bag quite this literally. Still hope springs eternal in the Islamic breast, and she, he, or someone at any rate, is back, and running for office yet again.

The UK requires women, men or people wearing burkas to go into a private room and remove their masks in front of a female officer along with an interpreter, a chaperone and two partridges in a pear tree to establish who they are for such minor matters as obtaining a drivers’ license or entering the country. It’s unclear if there would be similar rules for an elected official.

The question is not an academic one since there really is no way to tell who is wearing the black klansman outfit when campaigning, casting votes or driving down the street. Conventional politicians are supposed to have laminated pieces of papers that show their faces. But when the face on the paper is just a black mask and the face of the politician is a black mask, any security guards had better be good at reading eyes to be able to figure out who’s who in politics.

Does this even matter in the town of Blackburn in Lancashire, once a cotton town with a Roman ruin, now a Pakistani colony with an English ruin? The crime rate is high and the elected officials include a Khan, a Hussein and the man whom Fajila will be challenging again, Parwaiz Akhtar. Her husband, Altaf Patel, is already a councilor, representing ‘Little Harwood & Whitebirk Ward’, who likes it when people call him ‘Tiger’. Fajila may wear black, but her campaign colors are green and red to match those of the flag of the Islamic Arab Revolt and the ‘Palestinian’ cause.

With an 84% Islamic occupier rate, none of the parties have any hope of running anyone there except one brand of Islamist or another. Fajila Patel is being backed by the ‘conservatives’ who have done the math and decided that when in Pakistan, do as the Pakistanis do.

The chairman of the Blackburn Conservative Association claimed that Fajila “wants to make a difference to break down boundaries” while wearing a giant boundary, and insisted that “Fajila chooses to wear the Niqab, which is her right and a right that we would always defend.”

Not everyone saw things that way, which is why the local Tories purged any ‘Islamophobes’.

“We had issues with Islamophobia. I took over this party three or four years ago. There is no room for any type of racism in a party that I head up, and I will be quite straight with you, we’ve had to remove people,” Julian Arnold, the chairman of Blackburn Conservative Association, warned.
In the ranks of the new ‘conservatives’, there will be room for burkas, but no room for anyone at all concerned about them.

“It’s what the Conservative party is about – and we are ground-breaking,” Arnold claimed, and indeed nothing is quite as ‘groundbreaking’ as going back to Islamic medievalism and bringing Afghanistan to Blackburn. Graham Platner is running for the U.S. Senate from Maine, and since he is a socialist and Maine’s far-left large cities have disenfranchised its patriotic hinterlands, he will likely win. Platner is running into a bit of flak over the fact that he has a large skull and crossbones tattoo on his chest that strongly resembles the Totenkopf symbol of the National Socialist SS, the feared paramilitary force that ruthlessly enforced Hitler’s ideological line.

Platner has attempted to laugh off that controversy, but now he is entangled himself in a related controversy by using a forbidden word when dismissing concerns over his tattoo. Fox News is seriously reporting on this by saying that Platner used “the R-word,” and actually blanking it out in its report. What is this, fourth grade? That is about the maturity level of much of the nation’s political discourse these days.

Fox’s headline on its story Friday was “Maine Democrat Graham Platner apologizes for using ‘R-word’ in interview on tattoo scandal.” I was trying to figure out what the dreaded R-word was, and the story itself was no help. It quoted Platner as saying this about the charge that he had a Nazi tattoo: “I was like, ‘Well, that’s the f—ing most r——- s— I’ve ever heard in my life.’ ‘No, I don’t have a White supremacist tattoo,’ and I never thought about it again. And then it came up later on, and I was like, ‘God f—ing damn it.’”

“R——- s—”? Would Fox be so kind as to give us a hint? No. But Fox’s source, the Maine Monitor, was far less punctilious, and gave us Platner’s quote in its full obnoxious and pugnacious pungency: “I was like, ‘Well, that’s the fucking most retarded shit I’ve ever heard in my life.’ ‘No, I don’t have a white supremacist tattoo,’ and I never thought about it again. And then it came up later on, and I was like, ‘God fucking damn it.’”

Now Platner has apologized. Not, of course, for having a Nationalist Socialist tattoo, which he has never adequately explained and should cause far more concern about his actual positions than it has already. Not for saying “fuck” or “shit,” which everyone says nowadays in full voice in crowded public places, without the slightest hesitation.

No, what Platner did that really crossed the line and forced him to issue the thing that politicians hate most in this world, a public apology, was that he said the word “retarded,” which the left has decided sometime since people in the 1970s and 1980s took up collections for retarded children is an outrageously offensive word that must never be uttered, read, or apparently even thought. Just when Democrats thought they had found the perfect candidate, who could fit a conservative archetype and win rural voters in a very rural state, his less-than-flattering past keeps interrupting what could be a slam-dunk left-wing campaign.

Graham Platner, a progressive running for Republican Sen. Susan Collins’ seat in Maine, currently holds a rather substantial lead over his Democratic primary opponent, Maine Gov. Janet Mills. A poll released April 7 found that he leads Mills by an eye-popping 33 points. Other polls have consistently shown Platner pulling ahead by a wide margin.

A former Marine and oyster farmer, Platner is running an anti-establishment, anti-billionaire campaign. Among other things, he wants to break up monopolies, make major reforms to the healthcare system, cut off aid and weapons to Israel, and pass a “cost-of-living” tax cut that will be paid for by increased taxes on billionaires.

Yet, for all his populist bona fides, he has repeatedly been under fire for past remarks that have resurfaced throughout his campaign.

Most recently, Platner was forced to apologize Wednesday.

He used the word “retarded” in an interview with The Maine Monitor.

“I am sorry. I’m sorry that I said it. I am endeavoring to improve every single day. I am not a perfect person, and I continue to try to be better,” Platner said. “I will say that my politics is one of inclusivity and one of showing up for everybody, and I will continue every day to represent that in our policies and in our campaign.”

During that interview, Platner was quoted using the slur as he addressed a separate scandal: his now-covered-up tattoo that resembled a skull-and-crossbones emblem used by Nazi “Death’s Head” units. --->READ MORE HERE

Democrat Gov. Abigail Spanberger committed Virginia to the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact on Monday, which would tie Virginia’s Electoral College votes to those of California or another densely populated state even if Virginians vote the opposite way.

The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact would “guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.” There are now 18 states (and Washington, D.C.) signed on to the compact, which is not yet in effect since it has yet to meet the 270 electoral vote threshold. But if a few more states join the compact, Virginia (like every other state in the compact) would no longer award its Electoral College votes based on how Virginians vote. Instead, states would award their electoral votes to whichever candidate wins the national popular vote, regardless of how the individual state votes.

Currently, 48 states (not including Maine and Nebraska) allocate all of their electoral votes to the candidate who wins the popular vote within the state, which, of course, is not always the same candidate who wins the popular vote nationally. The system was designed to ensure that candidates could not win on regional density alone, but rather would need a geographic balance. This mechanism forces candidates to take into consideration the varying interests, economies, and industries of all states, not just a few larger states.

But the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact would effectively allow a handful of densely populated states, like California and New York, to dictate the outcome of the election despite both states having vastly different interests from states like Idaho, Nebraska, or Oklahoma.

The founders understood that smaller states would need robust protections of their access to political representation, which is why the founders came up with the system in the first place. Such a system was designed to prevent the “tyranny of the majority,” as Madison warned. Alexander Hamilton defended the Electoral College in Federalist 68, arguing such a process was a safeguard against “cabal, intrigue, and corruption.” --->READ MORE HERE

'Simple' popular vote plan would mean chaos for 2028 election | Opinion:

Eliminating the Electoral College through a constitutional amendment would be unwise in a country as diverse as ours, but National Popular Vote Interstate Compact will create an unexpected nightmare.

The Commonwealth of Virginia is poised to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement already joined by 17 other states and Washington, DC, in an attempt to effectively eliminate the Electoral College. Both the state senate and state house approved the measure, and the bill is now awaiting the governor’s signature.

Electoral College opponents will celebrate, but they shouldn’t. Americans do not realize what is about to hit them if the national popular vote becomes reality.

Indeed, the situation bears an eerie resemblance to Prohibition.

When the 18th Amendment was ratified in 1919, most Americans didn’t understand what they were getting: They thought the amendment would result in a ban on hard liquor only. They did not realize that wine and beer would also be included in the broad sweep of the new law.

Many were stunned. They hadn’t signed up for that! A black market for liquor sprang up. People who had been drinking only beer began drinking the easier-to-smuggle hard liquor. Crime increased. Tax revenues were lost.

The reality of Prohibition had not matched the sales pitch.

When the repeal was proposed, that constitutional amendment was ratified in less than a year.

Popular vote plan may sound good, but ...

The same will happen with the popular vote. Its interstate compact is full of surprises for those who want only the elimination of the Electoral College.

On the surface, the idea seems simple: It asks states to sign an interstate compact. By the terms of that compact, each signatory state agrees to pledge its presidential electors to the winner of the national popular vote, rather than the winner of the state’s popular vote.

The compact goes into effect when states holding 270 electoral votes (enough to win the presidency) have signed.

The compact now holds 209 electoral votes. With Virginia's 13, the popular vote organization would be just 48 electors shy of its goal.

Based on historical trends, many Democrats are predicting that state elections this fall will swing their way, increasing the odds that the compact takes effect before the 2028 presidential election.

Unfortunately, this “simple” idea will wreak havoc because an interstate compact cannot change the foundations of our system: It cannot give the federal government authority to override state election codes. Only a constitutional amendment can do that.

New Documents Reveal Democrats’ Plot To Frame Trump With Ukraine Call

There was never a genuine complaint. It wasn’t an opportunistic hit job either. It was something far more deliberate, a coordinated effort.

After seven long years, key documents surrounding the Ukraine impeachment saga have finally been released by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, following Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s declassification. They include previously unreleased interview transcripts with the Inspector General as well as related materials. They tell a story many of us suspected at the time, but which now appears even more disturbing and more elaborate than originally understood.
The newly released documents show a coordinated effort to frame President Trump over a phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky. A manufactured narrative was elevated and then used by Congress in an attempt to overturn the outcome of an election and, effectively, shape the next one by pursuing impeachment over a routine diplomatic exchange.

Inspector General Michael Atkinson, who should have acted as a neutral gatekeeper, instead enabled the process by allowing a completely unverified, third-hand, and politically motivated complaint to move forward.

Of particular note is the timing. The call took place on July 25, 2019, the morning after the disastrous congressional testimony of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, which effectively collapsed the Russia collusion narrative. Many suspected at the time that this timing was not coincidental. It was as if one hoax had collapsed and another was needed to take its place. The new material strengthens that view.

What we previously knew was that a so-called whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella, an Obama-era National Security Council staffer, filed a complaint with the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community, Michael Atkinson, alleging that President Trump had attempted to interfere in the upcoming 2020 election during the call with Zelensky.

The newly released documents, specifically the interview notes from Congress’s classified interview with Atkinson, together with the so-called whistleblower complaint and its supporting materials, bear little resemblance to what actually happened when set against the official transcript of the call released publicly by Trump in 2019.

Ciaramella alleged that Trump was using the power of his office to “solicit interference from a foreign country in the 2020 U.S. elections” and was pushing Ukraine to investigate his “main political rival,” Joe Biden, who at the time was polling at around 26 percent in the Democratic primary. He further suggested that Rudy Giuliani and Attorney General Bill Barr were involved in the alleged scheme to interfere in the 2020 election.

In fact, the official call transcript contains no evidence of election interference. It shows, at most, that Trump referenced widely reported public information, specifically Joe Biden’s own 2018 Council on Foreign Relations admission in which he described leveraging U.S. taxpayer loan guarantees to secure the firing of the Ukrainian prosecutor who was at that time investigating Hunter Biden’s firm, Burisma, and had already moved to seize assets connected to it.

As later emerged from material found on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, there were emails from the chairman of Burisma’s board of directors explicitly describing the shutting down of the investigation as a required “deliverable” and demanding that Hunter Biden intervene to bring it to an end, shortly before Joe Biden took steps that did exactly that.

In other words, far from constituting election interference, Trump was raising matters that were already in the public domain and, on any reasonable view, within the scope of legitimate diplomatic discussion, given U.S. financial exposure and foreign policy interests. At minimum, it is entirely plausible that he was also probing the disposition of the newly elected Ukrainian president by testing his response to issues involving his predecessor.

Hearsay, Process Breakdown, and the Whistleblower Standard

The claims made by Ciaramella point directly to the issue at the heart of this process, namely the standard applied to whistleblower complaints. These mechanisms exist to prevent rumor chains and guard against the kind of distortion that arises from indirect reporting. Traditionally, such complaints were required to be based on first-hand knowledge. In this case, that standard was not met.

As originally reported by The Federalist in 2019, Atkinson eliminated the longstanding requirement for first-hand knowledge by changing the rules governing whistleblower complaints around the time Ciaramella’s complaint was filed, allowing second and third-hand information where first-hand knowledge had previously been required, and doing so secretly, without disclosing the change and later backdating it.

In the newly released documents, Atkinson characterizes the timing as coincidental, stating, “So the timing is unfortunate. It looks suspicious, I get that.” But the record shows he altered and effectively gutted its own internal standards at the exact moment a third-hand complaint about President Trump was emerging.

Even setting aside intent, the concealment of the change and its later backdating are difficult to reconcile with the idea that this was a coincidence.

Once you move away from first-hand reporting, you are effectively relying on a chain of hearsay. Even without assuming bad faith, the reliability of information degrades rapidly as it is passed along. In this case, the complaint was based on second, third, and even fourth-hand accounts. When compared to the official call transcript, the distortion is obvious.

On the morning of the call, President Trump spoke with President Zelensky. Multiple officials from the National Security Council were monitoring the call. One of those officials, identified as NSC#1, reportedly relayed a summary of the call to Ciaramella. Another NSC official, NSC#2, also provided information about the call, though he was not a participant and relied on a readout or transcript.

According to the newly released documents, NSC#2’s account became a significant source for the complaint. However, NSC#2 was not a participant in the call. He relied on a secondary document, apparently a transcript of the conversation, which he or she only briefly reviewed before returning it.

As a result, the information passed to Ciaramella was already detached from the original event, moving from the call itself to a transcript, then to NSC#2, then to Ciaramella, and finally to Atkinson. Even assuming no bad faith at any stage, which there is no reason to assume, this is a process almost guaranteed to produce distortion. At minimum, this is third-hand information. In practical terms, given the structure described in the documents, it is more likely fourth-hand hearsay. --->READ MORE HERE

War update: 194 frontline clashes, Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors remain hottest :

Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have launched 194 attacks on the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, with the heaviest fighting concentrated in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook in an update as of 22:00 on Tuesday, April 21.

“A total of 194 combat engagements have taken place since the start of the day. The enemy carried out 50 airstrikes, dropping 159 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 3,982 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,112 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions,” the post reads.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out four airstrikes using nine guided bombs and conducted 88 shelling attacks, three of them involving multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched two attacks near Prylipka and toward Bochkovе, with one assault still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked twice near Novoosynove and toward Kurylivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled seven assaults toward Stavky, Drobysheve, Lyman, and Dibrova.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops attempted to advance twice toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and near Riznykivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, invading forces carried out seven attacks toward Nykyforivka, Holubivka, Bondarne, Maiske, Vasiutynske, and Markove, with one engagement ongoing.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops launched 25 assaults near Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka, Ivanopillia, and toward Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Sofiivka, Novopavlivka, Kucheriv Yar, and Novodmytrivka. Three engagements are still underway.

On Friday, ICE agents announced the arrest of Danny Granados-Garcia, an illegal alien MS-13 gang member from El Salvador, on March 10 in Waterbury, Connecticut. Granados-Garcia is wanted for murder in his home country.

“Thanks to ICE, this MS-13 gang member wanted for murdering a pastor in his home country is off Connecticut streets. This is an example of an arrest the media counts as a ‘non-criminal’ because he lacks a rap sheet in the United States,” the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Lauren Bis said:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has started the deportation process for an alleged MS-13 gang member from El Salvador who had been released into the United States a decade ago and was considered a "non-criminal" alien despite being wanted for a pastor's murder in his home country.

Danny Granados-Garcia was arrested by the FBI last month, and Fox News Digital has learned that he is now in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody facing imminent removal.

"Thanks to ICE, this MS-13 gang member wanted for murdering a pastor in his home country is off Connecticut streets," Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis told Fox News Digital. "This is an example of an arrest the media counts as a ‘non-criminal’ because he lacks a rap sheet in the United States."

"This is an insane categorization and just one example of the countless ‘non-criminals’ who are public safety threats that ICE is removing from our communities every single day," Bis added. "70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens convicted or charged with a crime in the U.S."

DHS says Granados-Garcia was released by the Obama administration in 2016 near the Rio Grande Valley, Texas Border Patrol Sector. The Salvadorian national attempted to enter the U.S. claiming he was an unaccompanied minor, despite being over the age of qualification for such status.

ICE officers apprehended Granados-Garcia as part of a focused enforcement operation with multiple agencies conducted in Waterbury, Connecticut, on March 10.

"Danny Antonio Granados-Garcia, a Salvadoran national, was in the U.S. with an active El Salvadorian arrest warrant for aggravated homicide — wanted for the alleged murder of a pastor," FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X following the arrest. --->READ MORE HERE

‘Anchor babies’ reach nearly 10% of all US births: new data:

Nearly 10% of US births in 2023 came from illegal immigrant mothers, according to newly published research.

Pew Research Center revealed that 320,000 of the 3.6 million babies born in the US that year were anchor babies who would not qualify for birthright citizenship if President Trump’s executive order is upheld by the Supreme Court.

“Under the current erroneous birthright citizenship interpretation, these children automatically become citizens and unlock food stamps, welfare, specialized schooling for English education, and eventually college aid,” Brandy Perez Carbaugh of the Heritage Foundation told The Post.

Of those 320,000, the center said 245,000 were born to parents who were illegal immigrants.

Another 15,000 babies were born to mothers who had temporary legal status, while the fathers were not citizens or lawful permanent residents.

The remaining 60,000 were born to illegal alien mothers while the child’s father was a citizen or lawful permanent resident.

The massive number of US anchor baby births in 2023 is the highest total since 2010, when 325,000 babies were born to illegal immigrant parents, according to Pew data.

The number of anchor baby births in the US has increased for three consecutive years.

Congress must stop immigrant welfare madness since Supreme Court won’t:

More than half of immigrant households in the United States use welfare, costing taxpayers billions and making the programs less sustainable for Americans in need of help.

Blame birthright citizenship for a big part of the cost.

But don’t count on the Supreme Court to fix it.

Republicans in Congress need to act, and they should do it quickly while they’re still in the majority.

Federal law bars legal immigrants from taking welfare benefits until they’ve been in the country five years, and bars illegal immigrants from benefits completely.

But both groups manage to circumvent that law and qualify for a wide range of costly handouts, including subsidized housing, Medicaid and food assistance.

The biggest loophole is that they can take benefits on behalf of their American-born children, who are citizens because of birthright citizenship.

Last week, when the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Trump v. Barbara — the birthright citizenship case — they were emphatic that their ruling would rest on history and legal precedent, not modern-day problems.

When President Donald Trump’s solicitor general D. John Sauer argued that we are living in a “new world” with immigration laws and problems such as birth tourism and illegal border crossings, Chief Justice John Roberts snapped back that the world may be new but it’s “the same Constitution.”

That indicates birthright citizenship is likely here to stay.

The president is taking major steps to reduce the burden on Americans by closing the border and attempting to enforce existing laws that already bar immigrants who may become “public charges” from getting green cards to stay permanently.

But Congress must act. It’s long past time to change US immigration law to favor admitting legal immigrants who are educated and have earning potential.

The US could boost its economy, drastically reduce its spending on welfare and ease cultural stress by admitting immigrants based on their likely economic value.

Think of a points system that rewards English proficiency, formal education and work history.

A typical 30-year-old immigrant with a bachelor’s degree will reduce the national debt by $1.6 million over the next 30 years, estimates Manhattan Institute’s Daniel Di Martino.

But an immigrant without even a high-school diploma costs the Treasury an estimated $130,000 over that same time.

Right now, US policy favors family attachments and sheer chance — a lottery — instead of a sane policy of prioritizing self-sufficient immigrants. --->READ MORE HERE

Is Nothing Actually Real?

Did "lockdowns" kill the world?

My mom said, Just tell them the truth. Tell them why you have been afraid to write.
I still need to tell you why I have been so frozen.

Yes, this is another “things I am afraid to write” essay.

To be a writer — to yield to that almost physical urging forward in speech and in time, to engage with that urge to express — you need to see humanity as being always in the process of creating a coherent civilization, to which you are adding your small piece of consciousness or critique, or even of hope.

You also need to see reality as being unitary.

In other words, in order to speak new ideas into being to a community of human readers, a writer needs to believe that we all, in spite of our differences and subjectivities, inhabit, in some essential way, a shared dimension of reality.

You also have to believe that reality is, well, real.

I’ve been feeling as if — I’ll just say it — as if reality is no longer that real.

So it is hard to write about anything else, without first somehow tackling this huge hermeneutical sh—storm. Even if only to ask questions about it.

I feel….increasingly….like the color palette of the earth, has shifted.

It makes me so sad that some days I hardly wish to do anything but mourn this fact, and exhaust my loved ones’ patience by endlessly pointing it out to them.

If you follow me on social media, you know that I am often posting images of the sky. There is a real thing that is being done to our skies — a set of technologies about which I have been reporting since 2017. Geoengineering is omnipresent; I can batter you into the ground with the onerous facts I have accumulated about this often-mocked reality.

Harvard, among other universities, funds it: the Harvard Solar Geoengineering Program, for just one example. Harvard also has a research investment group, the Keutsch Group, which funds the evil Dr David Keith’s program called ScopEx, or the “Stratospheric Controlled Perturbation Experiment.” (This project has been used to spray sulphur dioxide over Arizona from a Native American reservation. The venue was important as it allowed the scientists to circumvent laws against this in the United States.) The Carnegie Foundation also heavily funds geoengineering technologies, and exerts pressure for global governance (meaning, legalization): The Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative pushed for both Solar Radiation Modification and “Stratospheric Aerosol Injection.” The Foundation’s website is full of cartoon graphics showing how their efforts to spray pollutants and toxins in our skies, will save a sad planet, and make it happy.

Intellectual Ventures, the prestigious IP firm, holds patents: “Even commercial companies are starting to develop technologies for climate control. One such company, Intellectual Ventures in Bellevue, Washington, has filed for several patents for climate-altering technologies, among them a proposal known as StratoShield that would involve using a long hose suspended from balloons. Geoengineering takes many forms — from the practice of “cloudseeding” all over the West, which shoots silver iodide into clouds and drenches the landscape with this chemical that make fires burn hotter; to the “solar radiation management” activity mentioned above, which sprays sulphur dioxide, a pollutant, into the atmosphere from drones, planes or balloons. There is also “marine cloud brightening” technology, which pumps salts into the atmosphere via the emissions of ships at sea. Britain, which is being driven quickly into the graveyard of empires, announced that geoengineering was now to take place in order to block sunlight; British people in some areas report months without sunlight.

So people now post images of their perverse and hideous skies all over the world. More and more people are waking up to the fact that the skies we knew a couple of decades ago, are gone; and gone too are bees, insects, and golden sun.

But this essay is not about geoengineering. It is about fakeness. It is exploring the various factors that may be contributing to this sense I have — and that many other people are starting to express — of unreality.

Geoengineering puts a giant intervention, a screen, of fakeness onto the most sacred, most profound, most holy connection we have to our planet — our connection to weather, which is God’s speech and theatre; and to what both the Old and New Testament called “the kingdom of the skies.”

So — could the murder of God’s weather and light be one factor in this draining of the realness-feeling of the world?

The world’s colors went from showcasing lush green foliage — so green the green was at times blue-green or lime-green — sapphire skies in daylight — shafts of sun like melting gold, and ruby-colored flowers, and clouds like frolicking living cotton or, if the day was overcast, like surging, moving steel — to the daily this.

The dimensions of the world flattened along with the colors.

Dry grey, flat skies, two-dimensional as a roll of black-and-white film. Or wet, sodden-looking, grey, flat skies. A greyish pall over city streets, or, in the country, over hills and rivers. Formerly vibrant colors now look like a filter is over them, a faint charcoal wash.

The golden round sun of the recent past, which embraced us with all of its exuberance, is gone. The sun today? It no longer really cares about us. Can you imagine being a primitive human, and worshipping that thing? You’d as soon worship the Down button on an elevator.
What is that light in the sky, anyway? It feels like a cathode tube or an LED feature: a silver-white sun, now, weirdly pentagonal at times, and often targeted now with blurring, crisscrossing plane emissions. A sun that sometimes warms us still but never really holds us, never heals us down to our bones, as it used to.

I am not saying the sun is unreal. Don’t take my words out of context, please.

I am saying that it feels less real.

And it’s not just that the colors got switched off, or dialed down.

The thing is, I remember our world. This all would not hurt so much if I did not remember our world.

Third Illegal Alien Arrested for Murder in Virginia Sanctuary County in One-Month Span; ICE Urges Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger to Honor Detainer for Illegal Alien Accused of Murder

Third Illegal Alien Arrested for Murder in Virginia Sanctuary County in One-Month Span:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is asking Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger and Fairfax County sanctuary officials to honor a third ICE detainer lodged on an illegal alien accused of committing a murder in Fairfax County, Virginia. The three murders occurred within the northern Virginia county in a roughly one-month period.

As reported by Breitbart News, ICE lodged the latest arrest detainer on 28-year-old Misael Lopez-Gomez, an illegal alien from Guatemala who authorities believe is responsible for the blunt force death of his 3-month-old daughter. ICE is requesting that Spanberger and other Virginia sanctuary politicians hand Lopez-Gomez over to ICE agents in the event of his release rather than release him back onto Fairfax streets.

According to authorities, on March 27, shortly after 7:30 p.m., Fairfax County Police officers responded to the 3400 block of Lake Street in the Bailey’s Crossroads community after receiving a report of an unresponsive infant. Officers began administering CPR upon arrival until Fire and Rescue personnel took over lifesaving efforts. At the time of the call, the infant was in the care of her father, Misael Lopez-Gomez, according to Fairfax police.

The child was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. According to authorities, during the investigation into the infant’s death, detectives and hospital staff observed evidence consistent with abuse. Preliminary results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s autopsy determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Lopez-Gomez is now being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center with no bond, facing charges of Second-Degree Murder and Felony Child Abuse.

Acting Assistant DHS Secretary Lauen Bis commented on the arrest of Lopez-Gomez and the request for his transfer to ICE in the event of release, saying, “This cold-blooded killer murdered his own three-month-old daughter. We are calling on Governor Spanberger to commit to not releasing this barbaric animal from jail into Virginia communities.

According to DHS, Lopez-Gomez admitted he illegally entered the United States along the southwest border with Mexico in July 2023 near Albuquerque, New Mexico. Commenting on his illegal entry, Bis added, “This monster should have never been allowed in our country by the Biden administration. We need cooperation from sanctuary politicians to stop criminals from being released from jail to perpetrate more crimes and create more innocent victims.” --->READ MORE HERE

ICE Urges Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger to Honor Detainer for Illegal Alien Accused of Murder:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is urging Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger (D) to ensure that a detainer is honored for an illegal alien accused of stabbing a man to death in Fairfax County.

Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy, an illegal alien from Guatemala, has been arrested by the Fairfax County Police Department and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death in his home.

ICE agents have since placed a detainer on Muy, requesting that Fairfax County officials call them before releasing the suspect from their custody.

On Tuesday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials pleaded with Spanberger to honor the ICE detainer lodged against Muy.

“Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was charged with second-degree murder after repeatedly stabbing a man to death in Fairfax County,” DHS’s Lauren Bis said:

ICE is calling on Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger and Virginia’s sanctuary politicians to not release this murderer back into our communities. This incident comes just one month after an innocent woman was murdered by another criminal illegal alien at a bus stop in Spanberger’s state. Open-border policies yet again have caused another preventable tragedy. [Emphasis added]

Most recently, Spanberger’s office said the governor would not honor an ICE detainer against the illegal alien accused of stabbing Stephanie Minter, a mother, to death at a Fredericksburg, Virginia, bus stop in a random attack. --->READ MORE HERE
