There’s Nothing MAGA About 500,000 Student Visas For The CCP:

Chinese students come to milk our education system and then bring their newfound education back to China to make China great.

When President Donald Trump descended the escalator in June of 2015, he reminded Americans of something many of their leaders had forgotten: “Our country has tremendous potential. We have tremendous people.”

And he was right — Americans are tremendous people with tremendous potential, which is why it’s so disheartening that the same man now says he wants to give 500,000 Chinese nationals student visas.

Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Thursday that he doesn’t want to “insult” China by denying student visas to some half a million Chinese nationals.

“‘I don’t want any students’ is a very insulting thing to say to a country,” Trump told Hannity — as if not insulting China should ever be a top priority or a consideration on which to base policy decisions. “If you don’t have those students, good students by the way … if you want to see a university system die, take a half a million people out of it. … The ones that won’t be hurt are the top schools; the top schools will do fine. But your lower schools … the ones that don’t do quite as well, those schools, they’ll be dying all over the place.”

The remarks are similar to comments he made last year, claiming it is “very important” to allow 600,000 Chinese students to attend American colleges, otherwise lower-tiered colleges would struggle to stay in business.

But as The Federalist’s Shawn Fleetwood wrote in these pages last year, “The correct number of Chinese nationals who should be allowed to study at American universities is zero.”

Part of the “America First” movement that Trump revived — and in many ways expanded — is that Americans should be prioritized in every instance, including education. Displacing hundreds of thousands of Americans so that foreign nationals from a hostile regime can take their places is the opposite of America First. Americans should not be forced to compete with the globe for a spot at one of their own institutions, especially not with citizens of a country that routinely spies on us, steals our intellectual property, and tried to kill us all with a virus in 2020.

Further, the national security risks of importing hundreds of thousands of Chinese nationals for “education” are numerous. Last May a Chinese national who was admitted to the University of Minnesota as a graduate student was deported after he was convicted for taking pictures of “military installations” in Virginia with a drone. As Fleetwood pointed out, it’s not that all Chinese students studying in America are CCP operatives, but “given China’s existing national security laws, however, Americans are right to be concerned.”

Trump also should not forget that a number of our institutions still offer high-quality teaching that should not be wasted on educating and refining the next generation of Chinese people. American institutions should be for Americans.

It’s rather bizarre that the America First president appears willing to accept Chinese nationals displacing Americans so long as it helps prop up struggling colleges further down the totem pole. If the American university system cannot survive without importing foreigners, then that institution deserves to go under. Further, it’s self-defeating for a nation supposedly trying to compete with China to allow its own nationals to displace Americans at our top institutions.

MAGA Fumes After Trump Argues For 500,000 Chinese Student Visas, China-Owned Farmland:

President Donald Trump angered many in his MAGA base this week by making the case to Fox News’s Sean Hannity for allowing 500,000 Chinese students in the collegiate system. Trump also argued for allowing China to own farmland in the United States, something he had long railed against.

“I would assume I’m in Beijing if I wanted to buy property near one of their military installations. I don’t think President Xi–” Hannity pressed at one point, noting China would not allow the U.S. to own farmland next to its sensitive national security sites.

“No, they wouldn’t let you. Look, it’s not that I love it. You want to see farm prices drop. You want to see farmers lose a lot of money, just take that out of the market. But they’ve had a lot of land for a long time. Obama did nothing about it. They bought a lot during the Obama administration, and he did nothing about it,” Trump replied, adding:

As far as the students, it’s 500,000 students they come—good students. I could tell them, “I don’t want any students,” is a very insulting thing to say to a country. They would then immediately go out and start building universities all over China. But if you don’t have those students—good students, by the way—if you don’t, and we do another thing, you know, if they’re good and they want to stay in America, we won’t give them a green card and things like that. You know, and that’s not only them, but other countries.

But if you want to see a university system die, take a half a million people out of it. And, you know, the ones that won’t be heard are the top schools. The top schools will do fine, but your lower schools, your lower—the ones that don’t do quite as well—those two, they’ll be dying all over the place. I frankly think that it’s good that people come from other countries and they learn our culture, and many of them want to stay here. I think it’s a good thing. Not everybody agrees with me, and it doesn’t sound like a very conservative position.

And I’m as conservative—I’m a conservative guy. I’m really a common sense guy, I think, more than a conservative. I think MAGA is common sense. You know, people understand we want strong borders. We want a strong military. We want good education. We want low interest rates. Well, you know, we want—but, but—

“People would argue they worry about whether they have nefarious intentions,” pushed back Hannity.

“Sure, I know, and we worry about that, and honestly, you know, they do things to us, and we do things to them. It’s a very fine line, the whole thing with students. So they have 500,000 students. Our university system does great, you know, it does great. War update: 195 clashes on front line, Ukrainian forces neutralize 60 occupiers in Pokrovsk direction:

On May 16, there were 195 combat clashes between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders along the front line, with the Pokrovsk direction being the most active, where the enemy attacked 23 times.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, providing operational information as of 22:00, Ukrinform reports.

“Since the beginning of this day, a total of 195 combat clashes have taken place... The enemy carried out 51 airstrikes, dropped 182 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 5,768 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,226 strikes on settlements and positions of our forces,” the report said.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, there were 16 clashes. The enemy carried out five airstrikes, used 10 guided bombs, and conducted 80 shellings of settlements and Ukrainian positions, four of them with multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions five times near Vovchansk, Radkivka, Hraniv, Izbytske, and Starytsia. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy assaults near Novoosynove and Podoly.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops stopped seven enemy attempts to advance near Stepove, Novyi Myr, Stavy, Drobysheve, Yampil, and Ozerne.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled three enemy attempts near Zakitne and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, one attack was stopped near Nykyforivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 assaults near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, and Stepanivka.

The Japanese don't want to end up feeling like outsiders in their own country.

That the Japanese will not allow pro-jihad, pro-Sharia elements to take over their country in the name of diversity and political correctness is clearly evident from a wave of viral videos showing large crowds in Fujisawa taking to the streets to oppose a proposed mosque project which is expected to be one of the largest mosques in the area.

At the heart of the strong resistance that thousands of Japanese participating in these demonstrations have shown are multiple practical and socio-cultural implications, including traffic congestion during prayer times and potential noise disturbances. These are all valid concerns, as Muslims across the globe are often seen occupying roads, blocking traffic, and disrupting the daily lives of commuters while demanding their right to offer their prayers. This becomes an even bigger problem during Fridays and Eid. On top of that, Islamic prayers are broadcast several times a day through loudspeakers attached to mosques, which not only adds to noise pollution, but is also offensive for non-Muslims, as the call to prayer translates to “There is no god but Allah.” Residents have also questioned whether the proposed building’s architecture aligns with the character of the surrounding neighborhood, which is predominantly residential and reflective of traditional Japanese urban design.

The issue has also tapped into deeper anxieties about ethnic identity and demographic change. Japan has long been known for its relatively homogeneous society, and changes in population dynamics, particularly the gradual increase in the Muslim population, have prompted multiple debates. The Muslim population in Japan has grown in recent years, driven largely by immigration and international students, leading to the construction of more religious institutions, including mosques, across the country.

For residents of Fujisawa, the construction of this mosque signals a larger transformation they feel unprepared for, and an “act of provocation” to Japanese heritage. They have expressed concerns about preserving the area’s cultural fabric, drawing comparisons between the new structure and existing local religious sites, such as Shinto shrines, thus intensifying the opposition movement. The construction of the mosque is not the only Islam-related issue Japan is dealing with.

Japan has witnessed a contentious debate over the creation of burial grounds for Muslims in recent years, with strong opposition emerging from both political leaders and local communities. Cremation is the usual funeral practice here, which does not align with either Islam or Christianity. However, with the increasing Muslim population, there has been a growing demand for Islamic burial grounds. Locals and political leaders have resisted the idea of establishing dedicated cemeteries for Muslim immigrants, citing issues such as land scarcity, environmental impact, and cultural norms.

In Miyagi Prefecture, Governor Yoshihiro Murai explored plans to establish burial sites as part of efforts to attract foreign workers, particularly from Muslim-majority countries such as Indonesia. The coastal city of Fujisawa in Japan has become the epicenter of a heated national debate. In a series of videos that have since gone viral on social media, thousands of residents took to the streets this week to protest the construction of the city’s first mosque.

Pope Leo: Christians and Muslims Must Work Together to ‘Revive Humanity’

An agenda-driven impossibility.

Pope Leo XIV is doubling down on Christian-Muslim dialogue, emphasizing an “equal” partnership in both traditions toward global transformation. But normative Islam does not view disbelievers as equals. “Pope: Christians and Muslims must work together to ‘revive humanity,’” by Joseph Tulloch, Vatican News, May 11, 2026:

Pope Leo met on Monday morning with members of Jordan’s Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies and of the Holy See’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue.

The members of the Royal Institute, which was founded under the patronage of Jordan’s Prince Hasan bin Talal, were in Rome for a colloquium on “Human Compassion and Empathy in Modern Times”.

Compassion in Christianity and Islam

In his address, the Pope suggested that compassion and empathy are “essential attitudes” of both Christianity and Islam.

In the Muslim tradition, Pope Leo said, compassion (ra’fa) is a gift bestowed by God in the hearts of believers, while the inclusion of al-Ra’uf (‘The ever-compassionate) among the ninety-nine divine names reminds us that “compassion always has its origin in God himself.”

In the Christian tradition, on the other hand, the Pope said, this divine compassion “becomes visible and tangible” in the person of Jesus. By taking on human flesh, God “goes beyond seeing and hearing” human suffering, and instead experiences it Himself, becoming “the living embodiment of compassion”

Love for the poor

Compassion and empathy, Pope Leo said, are therefore “not something additional or optional” for Christians and Muslims. Indeed, they have “social implications” for believers in both religions.

From a Christian point of view, the Pope said, “love for the poor” – and indeed sharing in their suffering – are of essential importance. In this regard, he expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom of Jordan’s “generous efforts” to welcome refugees…

The pope’s rhetoric is part of a larger mission to conceal what Islam really is, while painting Israel and America, particularly under Trump, with a quite different brush. He has declared that God “does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them.” Edwin Black notes:

Pope Leo says this about men who stormed Normandy, about every Jew in the IDF, and about my parents who fought as partisans. At the same time, he condemned President Trump’s war to save humanity from nuclear conflagration by religious fanatics in Iran. Pope Leo, who are you to tell us whose prayers God hears?

In another recent article about the atrocities that Muslims are committing against Christians in Africa, Robert Spencer notes that the pope condemned “terrorist attacks,” but made nary a mention of who is perpetrating them. Why?

The reason is because he doesn’t want to harm the dialogue that has been going on for years between Muslims and Roman Catholics…. The idea that speaking forthrightly about Muslim persecution of Christians could hurt the Muslim/Christian “dialogue” dialogue, and so the suffering Christians must simply be sacrificed on the altar of glad-handing…

For Pope Leo now to call on Christians and Muslims to “revive humanity where it has grown cold” and “transform indifference into solidarity” is insensitive and insulting. It essentially rubs the faces of the Christians who are persecuted by Muslims in the dirt. These are not words of a man of truth. What about the pope’s own stand against those who declare war when it comes to Islamic history, as well as Islam’s teachings and what Islamic tradition records about the words and deeds of Muhammad? In Islam, not only is war deceit (Sunan Abī Dāwūd 2637), but it is waged against disbelievers as a foremost duty:

A man asks Muhammad “which of men is the best?” Muhammad replies that it is the man who is always ready for battle and flies into it “seeking death at places where it can be expected.“ — Sahih Muslim 20:4655

In the words of Muhammad: “I would love to be martyred in Allah’s Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.” — Sahih al-Bukhari 2797

“Let those who sell the life of this world for the next fight in the way of Allah. Whoever fights in the way of Allah, whether he is killed or victorious, on him we will bestow a great reward.” — Quran 4:74

The Muslim Brotherhood, which has fully infiltrated most countries of the West, also follows what Allah told it to do, as its offshoot Hamas reflects. In its own playbook:

Jihad – a mandatory religious duty

– “This is followed by the power of arms and weapons… This is the role of Jihad.”

– “Jihad is a religious public duty… incumbent upon the Islamic nation. Jihad is a personal duty to fend off the infidels’ attack on the nation…”

– “The youth should know that the problems of the Islamic world, such as Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria, Eritrea, or the Philippines, are not issues of territories and nations, but of faith and religion. They are problems of Islam and the Muslims, and they can be resolved neither by negotiation nor by recognizing the enemy’s right to the Islamic land he stole. Rather, the only option is Jihad for Allah, and this is why Jihad is the way.”

– “The symbol of the [Muslim] Brotherhood is the book of Allah [the Quran] between two swords. The swords symbolize Jihad and the force that protects the truth represented in Allah’s book.”

Jackson Accuses SCOTUS Of ‘Partiality’ She And Her Fellow Liberal Justices Are Guilty Of:

If Jackson and her liberal colleagues had any interest in the Supreme Court avoiding ‘the appearance of partiality,’ they’d cut their left-wing political theater.

One really has to admire the hutzpah of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Not only is she comfortable signing off on some of the most asinine opinions imaginable, but she’s also shameless in gaslighting her conservative colleagues on “partiality” — an issue she and her fellow liberal justices know quite a bit about.

The latest incident occurred Monday evening when the Supreme Court released an order pertaining to its recently released Louisiana v. Callais decision kneecapping race-based redistricting. As The Federalist reported, the order fast-tracked transmission of the ruling to the lower courts so they and Louisiana could correct the latter’s unconstitutional congressional map ahead of the 2026 midterms.

Clearly disturbed about the Pelican State fixing its racially gerrymandered map before the general election, Jackson penned a solo dissent lambasting her colleagues’ decision to authorize the ruling’s transmission in accordance with existing Supreme Court rules. She more specifically attacked the court for declining “to stay on the sidelines and take no position by applying our default procedures” as to “avoid the appearance of partiality.”

“But, today, the Court chooses the opposite. Not content to have decided the law, it now takes steps to influence its implementation,” Jackson wrote. “The Court unshackles itself from both constraints today and dives into the fray. And just like that, those principles give way to power. Because this abandon is unwarranted and unwise, respectfully, I dissent.”

It’s hard not to see the irony in all of this. While Jackson feigns worry about the order’s effect on “the appearance of partiality,” it is her and her liberal colleagues who have made “partiality” and politics central to how they operate on the high court.

In Monday’s order, Justice Samuel Alito (joined by Justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch) authored a concurring opinion addressing Jackson’s “trivial” and “insulting” dissent. The Bush appointee notably included a footnote in the opinion recognizing that the “constitutional question” of whether Louisiana’s congressional map is unlawful “was argued and conferenced nearly seven months ago.” Put another way, that the court seemingly answered the question not long after it held oral arguments in the case on Oct. 15, 2025.

The reason that detail is significant is because former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer reported more than a week before Callais‘ release that the liberal justices were slow-walking their dissent in the case as a way of impacting the 2026 midterms. The April 29 Callais decision was notably the final case from the court’s October sitting to be released.

“I have been told by reliable sources that that [Louisiana v. Callais] decision is done, and that the minority is slow-walking the dissent so that states … do not have time to redistrict ahead of” the election, Spicer said during a podcast interview. --->READ MORE HERE

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court opinions are often poorly argued and lack coherent legal reasoning. And in the high court’s latest release, Justice Samuel Alito made sure she knew it.

The Alito-driven smackdown happened late Monday when the Supreme Court released an order related to its landmark Louisiana v. Callais decision, in which the majority (led by Alito) determined that Louisiana’s most recent congressional map is an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. Equally significant, however, is that the ruling effectively nuked states’ ability to partake in race-based redistricting.

In its newest order, the high court agreed to fast-track the transmission of its decision to the lower courts rather than wait 32 days, as per normal custom. The move came in response to a request by the Louisiana residents who challenged the unlawful map to waive the 32-day period. They argued that doing so would allow the lower courts and state legislature to quickly rectify the unconstitutional map ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

The Supreme Court’s decision to grant the Callais appellees’ request in accordance with existing SCOTUS rules did not sit well with Jackson. The Biden appointee penned an unhinged solo screed claiming the court’s order “has spawned chaos in the State of Louisiana.”

Jackson started off by recognizing Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry’s recent suspension of the state’s U.S. House primaries in light of Callais‘ release to fix the illegal map, as well as the subsequent legal challenges to his decision. In doing so, she charged that “[t]hese post-Callais developments have a strong political undercurrent,” and attacked her colleagues for declining “to stay on the sidelines and take no position by applying our default procedures” as to “avoid the appearance of partiality.”

“But, today, the Court chooses the opposite. Not content to have decided the law, it now takes steps to influence its implementation,” Jackson wrote. “The Court unshackles itself from both constraints today and dives into the fray. And just like that, those principles give way to power. Because this abandon is unwarranted and unwise, respectfully, I dissent.”

Clearly fed up with Jackson’s political activism from the bench, Alito, joined by Justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch, wrote a concurring opinion addressing the junior justice’s charges he said “cannot go unanswered.” --->READ MORE HERE

Three sex offenders nabbed trying to cross border in ‘Operation Predator’ immigrant crackdown

Three sex offenders, including one wanted in New York on child sex crimes, were arrested at the Texas border under Operation Predator as the Trump administration ramps up its crackdown on criminal aliens.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, as of March, has made 5,313 arrests based on National Crime Information Center records, which includes many sex offenders. Operation Predator is Homeland Security’s flagship initiative targeting child sex predators.

President Trump and DHS have prioritized removing illegals with criminal records, taking a new approach to increase arrests under Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin.

“We’re still enforcing immigration laws. We’re still deporting illegals that shouldn’t be here. We’re still going after the worst of the worst — but we’re doing it in a more quiet way,” Mullin told CNBC in April.

Mullin, in a change of pace from predecessor Kristi Noem, has let agents do their jobs without making flashy trips to arrest sites to video the work in action.

Three fugitives wanted for sex crimes — including a man accused of predatory sexual assault against a child — were arrested at Texas border crossings in a single 24-hour period, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Thursday, displaying the type of dangerous suspects agents say they are encountering at the southern border.

Among those arrested was Pedro Garcia Martinez, 44, a Mexican citizen wanted in New York on felony warrants including first-degree rape and predatory sexual assault against a child, according to CBP.

CBP officers at Laredo’s Juarez-Lincoln Bridge referred Garcia Martinez, a southbound bus passenger, for secondary inspection April 30. Officers used biometric verification and federal law enforcement databases to confirm his identity and active warrants out of Sullivan County, New York, the agency said.

Garcia Martinez was processed for federal immigration law violations and transported to a detention facility with detainers to ensure extradition to New York after final adjudication of the immigration violations, CBP said.

The arrests come as border security remains a central political issue, with federal officials emphasizing efforts to identify and detain individuals accused of serious crimes, including offenses against children, as they attempt to cross or move through ports of entry.

In a separate arrest the same day, officers at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge stopped Allan Josue Cabrera Maradiaga, 49, a Honduran citizen and southbound bus passenger who was wanted on an active felony warrant for sexual assault out of St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, according to CBP. --->READ MORE HERE

A Mexican national illegal alien accused of randomly setting a New York City apartment building on fire that killed four people and injured seven others, could be released back onto the streets as Department of Homeland Security officials say the city is refusing a request to turn him over to immigration authorities.

Roman Amatitla, 38, of Maspeth, is charged with eight counts of second-degree murder and first-degree arson after allegedly lighting a three-story Flushing building on fire March 16, which he selected at random.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said that on the day of the blaze, Amatitla entered and exited the Avery Avenue building multiple times, urinated in front of the apartments, and then went to a nearby gas station — where he bought a beer, stole a second one and took a pack of matches after refusing to pay for a lighter.

Authorities allege he then entered the apartment building for a fourth and final time, lighting a piece of paper on fire and tossing it onto trash near a stairwell.

As smoke engulfed the street, Katz said he stayed in the immediate area to watch people burn and jump from the windows while sipping his beer, in what she described as an “act of mass murder.”

On Tuesday, US Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) requested the New York City Department of Corrections (NYCDOC) not release Amatitla from jail.

However, because of New York’s sanctuary policies, the NYCDOC told ICE that it will refuse to cooperate.

“This monster set fire to a building and watched as innocent people, including a three-year-old, burned to death. New York City sanctuary politicians REFUSE to cooperate with ICE and are choosing to RELEASE this MURDERER onto New York streets,” DHS acting assistant secretary Lauren Bis told Fox News Digital. --->READ MORE HERE

Lack of cooperation with ICE to deport an illegal immigrant resulted in a family tragedy:

Why would the New York City Department of Correction refuse to honor a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer for an illegal Mexican national facing murder and arson charges in Queens?

The same perverted sense of “equity” that drove the Biden administration to open the border to millions of illegal migrants.

On April 9, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Roman Amatitla would be charged with arson and eight counts of second-degree murder for allegedly setting a fire that killed four in a Flushing apartment building, including a 3-year-old girl.

Katz called it as “an act of mass murder,” and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) subsequently revealed Amatitla had entered the US illegally “at an unknown date and unknown time.”

Despite the heinous nature of the crime, the threat posed to the community and Amatitla’s unlawful status, NYDOC still vowed not to cooperate with ICE’s efforts to keep him off the streets.

Amatitla is being held without bail while he awaits trial.

But paperwork released by DHS shows the NYDOC refusing to provide status updates to ICE if he is ever released.

And this hostility to the nation’s immigration laws will only get worse if, as expected, Albany passes an even more aggressive sanctuary bill that makes it illegal for local authorities to cooperate with ICE in many circumstances.

All of which should come as no surprise to those who delved into the Biden administration’s justifications for its feckless immigration policies — which continue to be tacitly embraced by the former president’s fellow Democrats.

In September 2021, Biden’s impeached DHS secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, imposed strict restrictions on ICE’s ability to arrest and deport criminal aliens, premised on his “prosecutorial discretion” authority.

Those restrictions required officers to consider irrelevant “mitigating” factors — including any “mental condition that may have contributed to the criminal conduct” — before even launching an investigation.

Let’s face it, the debate show on the SAVE America Act was the plan all along. And Thune was the star of the ‘deliberative’ farce.

Sure, the do-nothing Republican Senate leadership just put a bullet in the back of the head of election-integrity reform, but you’ll be glad to know they gave it the old college try. They had a “spirited debate.”

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader John Thune pulled the curtain down on the failure theater of “marathon debate” on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act. The extremely popular cornerstones of the package would require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in U.S. elections and photo ID to cast a ballot.

Let’s face it, the debate show was the plan all along. And the South Dakota Republican was the star of the “deliberative” farce.

“We called it up on the floor, March, I think, 17th. We were on it for several weeks and, uh, had a very spirited debate,” Thune said. “In fact, uh, I actually, I think, with the exception of maybe a couple of Republican senators, I made more speeches on the floor in support of the SAVE Act than almost any other senator.”

Not all heroes wear capes.

As Thune noted, the Senate took a vote on one of the key components of the SAVE America Act: requiring photo identification to vote. The upper house took another vote on the tack-on provision in the bill that would ban males from girls’ sports.

“And we put the Democrats on the record. Every single Democrat voted against it,” the majority leader said.

To borrow a line from my mid-1980s self, Well, no duh? Of course the Democrats all voted against the provisions. A) They’re insane. B) They want as little integrity in our elections as humanly possible. Election integrity costs them elections.

But Thune and crew want very frustrated voters to know, Hey, we tried. Our hands are tied.

Thune Has Tried Nothing To Pass The SAVE Act And He’s All Out Of Ideas:

Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., said Tuesday “We don’t have the votes to get rid of the filibuster” as his defense for why he won’t get the SAVE America Act passed. Lucky for Thune, he doesn’t need to “get rid of the filibuster” to pass the SAVE America Act, but he already knows that — he just doesn’t want to pass the legislation at all.

The Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act would amend the 1993 National Voter Registration Act by requiring documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and voter ID to cast a ballot. While noncitizen voting is already illegal, the only thing standing between a noncitizen and our free and fair elections is a tiny square box on the federal registration form requiring applicants to attest under penalty of perjury they are a citizen.

The House has already passed the legislation, and it’s wildly popular amongst Republicans, Democrats, and even Independents. Approximately “80 percent of Americans (including a significant number of Democrats) … support citizenship and ID requirements,” as pointed out by The Federalist’s Matt Kittle.

Despite the popularity and Republicans controlling both chambers of Congress, Thune has already surrendered.

“We don’t have the votes to get rid of the filibuster. We had a very spirited debate,” Thune said. “I made more speeches on the floor in support of the SAVE Act than any other senator.”

But as Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said in a post on X: “This is completely false and he knows it.”

Thune is not powerless, despite his insistence that he’s done all he can do. Senate Republicans do not need to nuke the filibuster to get this legislation passed, as Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, explained in a letter first obtained by The Federalist. --->READ MORE HERE

Meanwhile, an FBI spokeswoman says an investigation into Kirk Bangstad remains ‘ongoing’ as the brewer cashes in on his 15 minutes of infamy.

The leftist Wisconsin brewpub owner who lamented last month’s failed assassination attempt against President Donald Trump is using his 15 minutes of radical fame to run for governor. And, as you might expect, his platform is full-on Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Kirk Bangstad, owner of the leftist front business Minocqua Brewery, posted on his company Facebook page that the “rumors are true.”

“5 minutes before I started writing this essay, I filed papers to become the next Governor of Wisconsin,” Bangstad declared. He added that he’s throwing his hat into the crowded field of far-left candidates because he believes Wisconsin “needs a battle-hardened fighter to join the rest of America to save our Democracy from Trump’s regime.” He thinks he’s the only gubernatorial candidate who fits his particular Trump-hating credentials.

Bangstad’s campaign announcement came a week after a Minocqua Brewery social media post urged the next would-be Trump assassin to improve his “marksmanship.”

“Well, we almost got #freebeerday,” Bangstad apparently wrote in now-deleted posts after a gunman stormed past a lax security post at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 25. Cole Tomas Allen, a 31-year-old California man, has been charged with attempting to assassinate the president, transporting a firearm and ammunition with intent to commit a felony, and discharging a firearm during a violent crime.

“Either a brother or sister in the Resistance needs to work on their marksmanship or he faked another assassination to get a positive news cycle. We’ll never know,” the incendiary post stated. “Regardless, we stand at the ready to pour free beer the day it happens.”

Bangstad earlier this year promised “free beer, all day long” on the day of the president’s death.

‘What a Piece of Work’

The activist’s latest post garnered the attention of the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service, with spokespeople from both agencies confirming to The Federalist that they are “aware” of the despicable invitation to an increasingly unhinged left.

On Thursday, officials from the agencies paid a call on the northern Wisconsin brewery to ask Bangstad some questions. True to form, the leftist attention whore posted a livestream video of two extremely patient and polite government officials asking him some very salient questions. He said his lawyer, Fred, was with him and that he was live-streaming to “make sure this is transparent and public because we don’t trust the federal government anymore.”

One of the agents asked the brewer — drunk on his sense of self-importance — whether he wanted to “kill, kidnap, inflict bodily harm to the president or the vice president, or has made threats to do that.”

Bangstad said he did not.

His lawyer said the brewpub owner doesn’t know anyone who wants to provide support to anyone who wants to harm Trump. So, why did Bangstad post about a “brother or sister in the Resistance?” one of the agents asked.

Attorney Fred responded that what Bangstad meant was “the left in general … All of those who don’t like what’s going on right now and they are mostly peacefully protesting the actions of the administration.”

In a follow-up post, Bangstad included the phone number of the Secret Service agent.

“Wow, imagine being so entitled that you incentivize the assassination of the President and don’t think you should be asked about that. Then, you post the phone number of the Secret Service agent and encourage people to harass him. What a piece of work,” wrote a follower identified as Andrew1776.

In an email to The Federalist Sunday evening, Caroline Clancy, Public Affairs Officer for the FBI’s Milwaukee Division, said the investigation is ongoing.

“The FBI and U.S. Secret Service follows up on perceived threats against the President of the United States or any one of our protectees,” Clancy wrote. “The FBI and Secret Service together followed up on information received and conducted further investigative steps, which included a voluntary interview with the individual. This is an ongoing matter, and we do not have further comment.”

An official from the U.S. Secret Service could not be reached for comment.

Leftists cherish the right to bodily autonomy so long as the person exercising it is a woman seeking to abort a child, not an adult who objects to putting an experimental medication in her body.

After six years, plenty of people would like to move on from the Covid-19 pandemic. But with one of Tony Fauci’s top deputies under indictment for concealing emails about Covid’s origins, now seems like the perfect time to reflect on the many things that government got wrong during the pandemic, the human toll its overreactions took, and what courts can do to prevent them during the next emergency.

Carvalho involves people who used to work for the Los Angeles Unified School District. During the fall of 2021, the district ordered them to take the Covid-19 shot. They objected. They did not want to take an experimental shot that, by that point, had been proven not to prevent infection or the spread of the virus.

The district said it would fire them, so the plaintiffs sued. Joined by Health Freedom Defense Fund, they argued that, because the Covid shot did not prevent infection or transmission, it was not a “vaccine” but a medical treatment. It was no different than Advil or Tylenol or any other medicine that might (or might not) reduce the symptoms of illness. Given the limited (if any) benefits and the potential risks, the Carvalho plaintiffs decided not to put the shot into their bodies. They grounded their objection in the Constitution’s due process clause, alleging that the district’s policy violated their substantive due process rights.

Substantive due process is a controversial doctrine. Conservatives spent years attacking it. Justice Antonin Scalia called the doctrine an “oxymoron” and regularly dissented as the Supreme Court used it to create “new so-called fundamental rights, such as the right to structure family living arrangements … and the right to an abortion.” Indeed, after the court’s abortion decision in Planned Parenthood v. Casey, substantive due process became a pawn in the political battle between left and right, with conservatives refusing to acknowledge the doctrine’s legitimacy and liberals using it to expand constitutional protections for political minorities.

In truth, substantive due process has always been a part of constitutional law. Perhaps it was just poorly named. And the Supreme Court showed that when it tackled the politicized issue of assisted suicide during the 1990s.

In the first case it considered, Cruzan v. Missouri Department of Health, the court affirmed the Missouri Supreme Court’s denial of a petition to end Nancy Cruzan’s life after a terrible car accident. Despite the result, it echoed longstanding constitutional principles about bodily autonomy, including the Supreme Court’s own admonition, from 1891, that “[n]o right is held more sacred, or is more carefully guarded by the common law, than the right of every individual to the possession and control of his own person, free from all restraint or interference of others, unless by clear and unquestionable authority of law.” And it made clear: “A competent person has a liberty interest under the Due Process Clause in refusing unwanted medical treatment.”

Cruzan established a clear test for bodily integrity-based due process cases: “[T]he question whether that constitutional right has been violated must be determined by balancing the liberty interest against relevant state interests.”

Cruzan was a watershed moment in constitutional litigation. Even Scalia recognized the potential validity of the substantive due process doctrine, writing that “no ‘substantive due process’ claim can be maintained unless the claimant demonstrates that the State has deprived him of a right historically and traditionally protected against state interference.” Like abortion, the common law outlawed suicide, though, so that made the result easy for him. But what about other invasions of bodily autonomy, like forced medication and compulsory vaccination?

We soon got some answers. For example, in Sell v. United States, the Supreme Court upheld a prisoner’s right to object to compulsory medical treatment, saying that, “as this Court’s cases make clear, involuntary medical treatment raises questions of clear constitutional importance.” It did not provide an answer but set forth a test to determine whether the government demonstrated a “need for that treatment sufficiently important to overcome the individual’s protected interest in refusing it. …” The court’s liberals led that decision, with Scalia left to grumble about procedural flaws in the case.

Despite these developments, abortion kept dominating the substantive due process doctrine, especially after Justice Sandra Day O’Connor retired in January 2006. O’Connor, after all, led the court’s controversial abortion decision in Planned Parenthood v. Casey. George W. Bush was in the middle of his second term. The replacement of O’Connor could change history.

Bush chose Samuel Alito.
We need to know that history to understand what Alito accomplished in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the 2022 case that overruled Casey and Roe v. Wade. Dobbs is one of the most controversial decisions in American history. It sparked protests, death threats, and the unprecedented leaking of a draft opinion.

It should not have been so controversial. Alito grounded the majority opinion in elite judicial reasoning, not rhetoric. And he used opinions from both liberal and conservative justices to make the most important points. For example, Alito embraced the substantive due process doctrine. But he framed it through an inherently conservative lens, asking “whether the right is ‘deeply rooted in [our] history and tradition’ and whether it is essential to our Nation’s ‘scheme of ordered liberty.’”

In a shrewd move, though, he led his analysis with an opinion from liberal icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who relied on the test in an excessive fines case called Timbs v. Indiana. And he linked Ginsburg’s analysis from Timbs to his own analysis in McDonald v. City of Chicago, which found that the due process clause protects an individual right to keep and bear arms. --->READ MORE HERE

War update: 202 clashes on frontline as Ukrainian forces repel 30 Russian assaults in Pokrovsk sector:

More than 200 combat engagements took place along the frontline as of 22:00 on Thursday, with Russian forces losing nearly 100 troops while attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses in the Pokrovsk sector.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this in a situation update published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"In total, 202 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day. The enemy launched one missile strike using 55 missiles, carried out 61 airstrikes dropping 218 guided aerial bombs, deployed 5,202 kamikaze drones, and conducted 1,964 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops," the statement said.

According to the General Staff, six combat engagements occurred today in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, with one battle still ongoing. Russian forces launched one airstrike, dropping two aerial bombs, and carried out 78 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, including 12 using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy launched ten assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vovchanski Khutory, Lyman, Starytsia, and toward Ternove, Radkivka, and Izbytske. One engagement is still underway.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attempts to advance near Kurylivka and Pishchane. One battle continues.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops stopped four Russian attempts to advance near Dibrova and Stavky.

In the Sloviansk sector, a Russian attempt to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka was unsuccessful.

The moment is etched in 21st century memory. The shrill voice of then-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, agitated and stretched, still rings in the ears.
“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they’d they go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?” Clinton, with dreams of the White House dancing in her head, scolded Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., during an early 2013 Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing.

The Wisconsin Republican had gotten under Clinton’s skin, asking her about the secretary’s slow response to a preventable attack in September 2012 on a U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. Benghazi became a political lightning rod, the leading symbol of the Obama administration’s anemic, incompetent, and deceptive foreign policy, particularly Clinton’s ineffectual “Smart Power” strategy. More so, the committee investigating Benghazi opened the lock to Clinton’s emails, the secret server, and more Clinton lies and obfuscation that contributed to her stunning loss to Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

So what on earth does Benghazi have to do with abortion factory Planned Parenthood? It appears to be the codename for cover-up involving some $90 million in taxpayer-funded Covid-era forgivable loans to a nonprofit organization ineligible to receive the government handout.

Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, is asking the Department of Justice to open an investigation into why President Joe Biden’s Small Business Administration used “Benghazi” in the subject lines of internal communications regarding the funding. Ernst, chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, asserts “Benghazi” is code for “the possible unlawful concealment and attempted concealment of federal records by President Biden’s Small Business Administration officials, and potentially their White House colleagues — a violation of the Federal Records Act.”

‘Benghazi (PPP/PPH) Decisions’

In a letter this week to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, Ernst details the emails her office has obtained to date revealing that Biden officials, apparently led by the SBA’s top lawyer, developed strategies to explain how Planned Parenthood qualified for Paycheck Protection Program Loans.

An email from SBA General Council Peggy Hamilton, dated April 30, 2021, appears to be the first with the subject line, “Benghazi (PPP/PPH) Decisions” in the subject line. Note that the reference to the small business loan program and the abortion provider are in parentheses, making requests for communications about the Covid relief program nonresponsive, or not relevant to key records search terms. The agency arguably would not have to turn over the requested information because, understandably, “Benghazi” would not be in the Freedom of Information Act request.

Hamilton’s email was part of a months-long thread about Planned Parenthood’s SBA loans, as well as the abortion giant’s loan forgiveness requests.

“The context of Hamilton’s email, as subsequent SBA emails elucidate, is whether or not the Biden administration would require the repayment of COVID-era Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans made to potentially ineligible Planned Parenthood affiliates and how the SBA would respond to Congressional inquiries over its decisions,” Ernst’s letter states.

The loans were meant for employers with less than 500 employees, designed to help cover the paychecks for employees of small businesses hit hard by the pandemic and the destructive government-ordered lockdowns that accompanied it. Republican lawmakers, upon learning of PPP loans going to to the abortion industrial complex, demanded President Donald Trump’s DOJ at the time investigate which Planned Parenthood facilities received forgivable loans.

“These Planned Parenthood entities self-certified eligibility for these loans despite the clear ineligibility under the statutory text of the CARES Act,” Republican senators wrote in a letter to then-Attorney General Bill Barr. The CARES Act was the first massive infusion of panic cash thrown about to deal with Covid and the fear attached to it.

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America denied any wrongdoing, asserting that some independent operations were awarded loans under the “eligibility rules established by the CARES Act and the Small Business Administration (SBA).”

‘Yes, Let’s Talk Benghazi’

Over the next year, Republicans sought answers to what they described as the “unlawful participation of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA)”.

At the end of April 2021, Biden SBA officials began their “Benghazi” conversations.

St. Paul’s New Illegal Alien Mayor Vows to Fight ICE:

“I am illegal in this country.”

“I am illegal in this country. My parents are illegal here in this country,” Former Minnesota State Rep. Kaohly Her declared.
Her ran in the 2025 St. Paul mayoral election on a promise to fight ICE and protect illegal aliens. While she lost the election, the usual ‘ranked choice’ shenanigans that elevated Mamdani in New York City, and other urban leftists, put her ahead of Melvin Carter III who was not an illegal.

In her inaugural address, Mayor Kaohly Her described federal immigration enforcement as an “unprecedented incursion that we must meet head on.” She spoke while surrounded by minority female politicians as well as Robert ‘Susan Kimblery’ Sylvester: a former deputy mayor who now claims to be a transgender woman.

This secessionist rhetoric was soon paired with a secessionist ordinance commanding federal law enforcement not to operate on ‘city-owned property’ as if St. Paul had somehow seceded from the United States.

“When ICE comes here again we are working together as a community. Lets not forget who is the aggressor here,” Her warned.

Shortly after taking office, ICE carried out a raid at the home of a friend of the mayor, a fellow Hmong, who had been allegedly living with two sexual predators, one of whom was wanted for sexual assault against a minor, rape and kidnapping, while the other was wanted for sexual assault and gang activity.

Mayor Her described the raid as “heartbreaking” and claimed, “I don’t know how anybody looking at that could ever justify the treatment of another human being that way.”

Her’s administration is now reportedly teaching open borders activists how to confront and challenge federal immigration enforcement officers.

The former community organizer bizarrely claimed that “I have family members who haven’t opened their drapes in days because they’re afraid someone can see in and see that they are Asian.” This seems wildly implausible for anyone who is legally in the United States.

The question is whether Kaohly Her is one of those people.

Before her declaration that “I am illegal in this country” went viral, Her explained that she was a citizen by way of her family committing immigration fraud. “Because his mother had died, my father as the one processing the paperwork put my grandmother down as his mother, and so I am illegal in this country.”

A more detailed explanation was offered by Her in a clean up chat with the Minnesota Reformer offering an even more troubling and corrupt explanation. ‘Her’s father worked at the U.S. consulate, and he processed their family’s paperwork in a way to expedite their timeline to immigrate to the U.S. as refugees. People who were set to come to the U.S. as refugees could do so quicker if they had family connections to the military, CIA or USAID. Her said her family didn’t qualify for those pipelines, but an uncle — in the Hmong familial sense of the word, i.e., a family friend — worked for USAID. When Her’s father processed the refugee paperwork, he claimed familial connection to the friend that worked for USAID, which wasn’t accurate.”

By “wasn’t accurate”, Mayor Her appeared to mean fraudulent and completely false.

In either version of the explanation, Her’s family committed naturalization fraud and can potentially be denaturalized and deported. No wonder then that Her fears ICE so much.

The Her family fraud, claiming fictional family ties, is likely the same one practiced by the Omar family, and is a commonplace enough form of immigration fraud among Somalis and Hmong where large family groups make it difficult to determine relationships and where falsely claiming relationships for immigration benefits has become so routine as to be almost unremarkable. --->READ MORE HERE

An elderly soup kitchen volunteer, Antonio Turrisi, was viciously beaten to the point that he lost his spleen and has been left unable to walk. Incredibly, the suspect is a homeless Nigerian man who the 85-year-old man fed everyday in the soup kitchen. The injuries, which have proven life destroying, have now left Turrisi calling for remigration.

The attack occurred five months ago on Nov. 14, 2025, in the city of Empoli as Turrisi was headed back home from the Emmaus soup kitchen. However, the victim is far from recovery and can only walk thanks to a walker. Besides having his spleen removed due to the vicious attack, he also has permanent nerve damage to his foot.

Video surveillance shows the man approaching Turrisi and beating him without mercy or warning, with a flurry of punches and kicks. The beating only stopped when a passerby intervened.

The Italian news outlet La Nazione Empoli has since interviewed Turrisi.

“I almost died, they told me that two more kicks would have been enough to send me to the other world,” he told the paper....

Beaten outside the cafeteria, Antonio returned home: "I risked dying and I no longer have a spleen."

The Misericordia volunteer brutally attacked outside the soup kitchen on November 14th has left the hospital after more than five months of hospitalization. Turrisi: "There's still a lot to do, I hope to be able to walk on my own again."

He celebrated his 85th birthday in the hospital, where he also spent Christmas and Easter. After delicate surgery and five months of hospitalization, Antonio Turrisi, the volunteer victim of a brutal attack by a homeless man (arrested on charges of attempted murder, ed.) outside the Emmaus soup kitchen on Via XI Febbraio, has returned home. He is still unable to move independently: he uses a walker. He remembers virtually nothing of that terrible beating, which occurred on November 14th. Today, he only knows that it's a miracle he's alive.

Finally after five months he left the hospital, how is he?

I'm feeling better. I can get out of bed with the help of my rehabilitation team. However, I need constant support because I'm not yet self-sufficient. Most importantly, I haven't regained full functionality in my left foot, and that worries me a bit. The road is still long. I need to undergo further tests that will help me determine the next treatments I need to undergo.

How has your life changed since November 14, 2025?

“It's changed a lot. These five months have been tough, and it's still very tiring. I wouldn't wish what I went through on anyone. I underwent surgery to remove my spleen, partly because if I hadn't had that operation, I would have risked dying. They told me the situation in the hours and days following the attack was very critical. Just two more kicks would have been enough to send me to the other world.”

Do you remember anything about those terrible minutes?

Not a single Democrat in the Senate is willing to support the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act, and a new op-ed from The Washington Post might just explain why.

The SAVE America Act would amend the 1993 National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) to require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and voter ID to cast a ballot in federal elections. The current “safeguard” preventing noncitizens from registering to vote and voting is a tiny square box on the federal registration form asking applicants to attest they are telling the truth about their citizenship status. In other words, the honor system.

The legislation passed the House (with a single Democrat voting alongside Republicans) but has stalled in the Republican controlled Senate, with a few RINOs and the entire Democrat apparatus opposing the election integrity legislation.

But perhaps Democrats are opposed to the common sense election integrity measure because the legislation would endanger New Mexico and turn the battleground of Nevada into a solid Republican state, according to analysis from Yale Law School Professor Ian Ayres and Yale research fellow Jacob Slaughter.

The two explain in their op-ed that they estimate at the national level, “89 percent of Democrats and 90 percent of Republicans hold qualifying citizenship documents, a difference that is not statistically significant.”

That seemingly meaningless 1 percent difference, however, would actually be state-flipping, according to Ayres and Slaughter.

“But because the composition of the electorate varies across states, national parity masks meaningful state-level variation — and what we find, looking state by state, is that the bill may significantly advantage Republicans in a few key ones.” --->READ MORE HERE

Four noncitizens were charged on Friday for allegedly “illegally voting in federal elections and making false statements applying for U.S. citizenship,” FBI Director Kash Patel announced. The suspects allegedly voted in the 2020 presidential election, 2022 midterms, and 2024 presidential election cycles.

The arrests only underscore the need for the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act. The SAVE America Act would amend the 1993 National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) to require documentary proof of citizenship in order to register to vote and voter ID to cast a ballot in federal elections. As of right now, the only thing standing between a noncitizen and casting a vote is a tiny square box on a federal registration form requiring an applicant attest under penalty of perjury that they are telling the truth about their citizenship status (in other words, the honor system).

The legislation passed the House but has stalled in the Senate. Just recently Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) claimed on X that Senate Majority Leader John Thune was “no longer considering the SAVE America Act.” A congressional source, however, told The Federalist’s Matt Kittle that Luna’s comments were “not true” and that the legislation is “still the pending business in the Senate.”

An RAF cadet has been suspended from his officer training course after branding Islam the greatest threat to Britain.

The trainee officer, who was on a 24-week officer training programme at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire, reportedly made the comment during a debate on national security involving around 50 fellow cadets shortly before Easter.

He was immediately removed from the course and is currently under investigation.

An RAF spokesman said: “We are aware of an alleged incident of inappropriate behaviour involving a cadet at RAF Cranwell. An investigation is ongoing. We are unable to comment further.”

The suspension drew sharp criticism from Chris Parry, a retired Rear Admiral, who described it as a failure to encourage proper debate among young members of the Armed Forces.

He added: “If I’d asked that question and got that answer I would have also asked the cadet to expand on his thinking and got some critical thinking going rather than suspend him.”

The veteran officer criticised those involved in suspending the officer cadet, saying a distinction should have been drawn between Islam and radical extremism, and questioning whether it was necessary to suspend the trainee.

Mr Parry added that he was “furious” about the handling of the incident, and argued that training systems should allow future officers to articulate and refine their views on sensitive topics rather than penalise them outright.

“Clearly Islamic extremism is the issue and not Islam, but how are young people expected to develop critical thinking around these complex issues if they are shut down in this way?” Mr Parry asked GB News.

“If this cadet had answered ‘the far-Right’ I doubt he would have been suspended.”

What if what everyone assumes is true is actually false?

An RAF cadet has been suspended for thoughtcrime. The Daily Mail reported Saturday that the offending wrongthinker gained this suspension “after he said Islam poses the greatest security threat to the UK while taking part in a training exercise.” Retired rear admiral Chris Parry, who objected to the poor devil’s suspension, noted in passing that “if this cadet had answered ‘the far-Right’ I doubt he would have been suspended.” Indeed. And so the enforced fantasy and wishful thinking still prevail.

The cadet’s inexcusable wrongthink not only got him suspended; it “led to him being kicked off the officer-training course, pending an investigation.” The British air force has actually “launched a probe into the young cadet’s remarks at RAF Cranwell, where the next generation of officers are trained.”

Indignant, Parry “accused the air force of shutting down the ‘critical thinking’ of new officers around controversial issues and said the cadet should be reinstated.” He explained that if he had been teaching the class where the outrageous, offensive remark had been made, he would have handled it quite differently: “If I’d asked that question and got that answer I would have also asked the cadet to expand on his thinking and got some critical thinking going rather than suspend him.”

What Parry termed “critical thinking” was actually the enforcement of the British political and media establishment’s preferred fictions. “Clearly,” he said with a confidence that his ignorance did not justify, “Islamic extremism is the issue and not Islam, but how are young people expected to develop critical thinking around these complex issues if they are shut down in this way?”

Well, sure. British authorities should indeed not shut down honest discussion of the nature and magnitude of the threat of Islamic jihad and Sharia. At very least, this poor fellow’s suspension should be lifted long enough for Rear Admiral Parry to try to explain to him what he thinks is the difference between “Islam” and “Islamic extremism.”

“We know,” Parry said, again displaying a confidence that was as unshakeable as it was unjustified, “that Islam is not a threat, rather it is extremist elements, and this appears to have been a missed opportunity to discuss that for fear of causing offence.”

Could Parry actually show from mainstream Islamic theological sources the difference between Islam and “Islamic extremism”? Could he show us a sect or school of Islamic jurisprudence that is not political, supremacist, expansionist, and violent, and a Muslim-majority country that has implemented a vision of Islam that allows for non-Muslims to be granted rights equal to those granted to Muslims? --->READ MORE HERE

Massachusetts prosecutors scolded a judge over the sweetheart deal she handed to serial criminal Tyler Brown — who is accused of opening fire on random drivers on Monday — after he was convicted of trying to kill a cop years earlier.

Brown, 46, pleaded guilty to armed assault with intent to murder in 2021, one year after he fired 13 rounds at Boston officers, including firing a .40 Glock semi-automatic at close range at one officer’s chest.

Prosecutors recommended a 12-year prison sentence followed by five years of probation; however, Judge Janet Sanders handed out a five- to six-year sentence with three years of probation — despite the fact that Brown was already on probation for a 2014 assault conviction at the time.

The decision angered the district attorney, who apologized to the officers and blasted the attack as “brazen.”

“I am disappointed in the sentence that was imposed,” Rachael Rollins, the then-Suffolk County district attorney, said.

“Members of law enforcement put their lives at risk every day to protect us. They serve us, at times being unfairly criticized for acts committed by officers a thousand miles away felt and witnessed around the globe.

“Violence will not be condoned in Suffolk County. Whether that violence is committed by or against a domestic partner, a stranger, a loved one, a family member, a spouse, an acquaintance, a police officer, a suspect, anyone, we will hold the perpetrator of the violence accountable and advocate on behalf of the victim.

“This sentence doesn’t do that, and I want to personally apologize to each of these officers and their families. I strongly believe that the sentence we proposed — 10 to 12 years followed by five years of probation — was appropriate for the level of brazen violence committed.”

Tyler Brown faces two counts of armed assault with intent to murder, among other charges

A warrant has been issued for a Boston man accused of the mass shooting on Memorial Drive in Cambridge yesterday afternoon.

Tyler Brown faces two counts of armed assault with intent to murder and gun charges, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan.

Brown allegedly shot at cars on the busy roadway around 1 p.m. Monday, hitting two drivers before being hit in the extremities himself by a responding State Trooper and a former Marine who’d been caught in the traffic. The identities of the officer and the Marine have not been released yet.

According to court records and previous Herald coverage, Brown has shot at law enforcement before.

The Suffolk DA’s office confirmed that Monday’s shooting suspect was the same man who pleaded guilty to getting into a gun fight with Boston Police in 2020. He entered guilty pleas for several counts, including another armed assault with intent to murder charge.

He was sentenced to five to six years, despite pleas from the Boston Police Department and then-Suffolk County District Attorney Rachel Rollins to give him double the time.

“I am disappointed in the sentence that was imposed,” Rollins said. “Members of law enforcement put their lives at risk every day to protect us. They serve us, at times being unfairly criticized for acts committed by officers a thousand miles away felt and witnessed around the globe.”

In many classrooms today, students are no longer evaluated solely on what they know, but increasingly on how they think, how they react, and how they see themselves.

Most parents still believe that when they send their child to school, that child will be taught reading, writing, mathematics, science, and history. They assume that school records contain grades, attendance, and test scores — nothing more.
But what if that assumption is no longer true? What if education has been quietly changing in ways most families have never been fully told about? Across the country, school systems are adopting programs called “Portrait of a Graduate,” “Future Ready Learner,” and “Whole Child Development.” These initiatives are presented as modern, innovative, and necessary for future success. But behind the appealing language is a shift that should give parents pause. Schools are moving away from teaching academic knowledge and toward training that measures attitudes, emotions, behaviors, and even aspects of identity.

In many classrooms today, students are no longer evaluated solely on what they know, but increasingly on how they think, how they react, how they cooperate, and how they see themselves. Children may be asked to write about their fears, reflect on personal and family struggles, share emotional experiences, or discuss their own and family beliefs and attitudes in group settings.

These activities may sound harmless — after all, reflection has long been part of learning. But what makes this different is that these responses are often observed, recorded, documented, and evaluated as part of a broader effort to measure “internal traits” such as resilience, empathy, self-awareness, and sense of belonging. These are deeply personal aspects of a child’s inner life — areas that historically belonged to families, not government institutions.

Parents should stop and ask themselves an uncomfortable question: What happens when a child’s personality, emotions, and identity-related reflections become part of a school record? Childhood is about developing, learning, and maturing. Children change constantly. A child who struggles socially at age 9 may flourish by age 13. A child who lacks confidence in one year may develop strength and maturity in the next.

But written and video-recorded observations, behavioral notes, and recorded reflections do not mature along with the child. They remain fixed snapshots of moments in development that may not reflect who that child ultimately becomes. The possibility that temporary struggles could become lasting labels should concern every parent who believes in growth, redemption, and second chances.

Many modern education programs rely on technology platforms that store student work, track participation, and analyze patterns over time. Federally funded state education systems include long-term student biometric data tracking initiatives designed to follow student information across years of schooling. Federal guidance also outlines how student information is to be collected, stored, and managed through digital education records and data governance practices.

Parents are accustomed to thinking of school records as academic transcripts, but the reality may now include behavioral observations, emotional reflections, biometric data, and identity-related responses stored alongside academic information. Once information is stored digitally, it becomes part of a permanent system that may follow a child across years of schooling into adulthood

There is also the growing connection between these programs and career planning. Some educational systems now encourage students to identify strengths, preferences, and interests at increasingly younger ages. National career readiness frameworks organize student pathways into structured “career clusters” designed to align education with workforce needs. These strategic plans aim to attract lucrative business to the respective states by offering the incentive of a youthful, trained workforce. Corporations fund the professional associations and elected officials pushing this agenda. It sacrifices our children on the altar of economics.
Federal education initiatives also promote career and technical education programs designed to prepare students for workforce participation and career readiness. Children may be asked to consider what careers match their personalities or what pathways align with their perceived strengths. On the surface, this sounds like preparation for the future. But parents should ask themselves whether early classification — based on immature self-perceptions, AI analysis of covertly recorded biometrics, or limited experiences — could unintentionally narrow opportunities rather than expand them. --->READ MORE HERE

Arshad Masih alleged that Zaman Shafique, along with five to six accomplices, assaulted his relatives Faisal Masih and Naveed Masih on Sunday (April 12), leaving them injured, according to the First Information Report (FIR). Masih stated that later at about midnight, the assailants returned and set fire to a thatched section of the family’s home.

The police complaint linked the attack to an ongoing criminal case registered last year over the gang-rape of a 14-year-old Christian girl, a cousin of the young men assaulted. Shafique and the suspects in the sexual assault case had been attempting to coerce the family to settle out of court, according to the FIR.

“My paternal uncle, Riaz Masih, had registered a case against Zaman Shafique and others for the gang-rape of his daughter,” Masih stated in the complaint registered with Samundri Saddar Police. “The accused had been using various pressure tactics to force us into reconciliation. When we refused, they attacked my cousins and later set fire to part of our house.”…

The Rev. Khalil Maqsood, parish priest of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the village, said the suspects had repeatedly pressured the victim’s family to withdraw the sexual assault case.

“There are about 30 Christian families in this village, and the accused had publicly threatened that Christian homes would be burned if the victim’s family did not agree to a settlement,” Maqsood told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News.

The Muslims threatened to attack not just the relatives of the girl, but also to set fire to all thirty Christian homes in the village. Muslims believe in the collective guilt of the Christians. War update: 170 combat clashes on front line, Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors remain most active:

The enemy carried out nearly 50 attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka directions.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook as of 22:00 on May 12, 2026.

"Since the beginning of the day, there have been a total of 170 combat engagements. The enemy launched 82 airstrikes, dropping 225 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 5,516 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,296 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troop positions," the military statement said.

According to the General Staff, in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out five airstrikes today using 15 guided bombs and launched 62 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, four of them using multiple launch rocket systems. One enemy assault action was recorded.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units five times near Starytsia, Kruhle, and toward Kolodiazne and Radkivka. One of these attacks is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked once toward Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three assaults by the occupiers near the settlement of Stavky and toward Ozerne.

While a critical voter verification bill languishes in the backbone-lacking U.S. Senate, election fraud rolls on nationwide. And Blue state New Jersey is Exhibit A.
Don’t expect any movement on the SAVE (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) America Act anytime soon. Congress is out on another extended break — just three weeks after its nearly two-week Easter recess. House members are scheduled to be in their respective districts this week for another “district work period,” and senators also are taking a break from their grueling 3 1/2-day work week.

To no one’s surprise, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D. and crew have opted not to reopen a “marathon” debate on the SAVE America Act during the downtime, which would make Democrats pay for their truculent opposition to an election integrity bill the vast majority of Americans support.

Establishment Republicans have for more than a month stalled their half-hearted effort to keep their focus on the bill in hopes of convincing enough Democrats to vote for it. Of course, it’s hard to make liberals defend their unpopular stance if you don’t make them defend their unpopular stance.

The Federalist reached out to Thune’s office on Monday. No answer on the status of the SAVE America act, which would amend the flawed National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and photo identification to cast a ballot in a federal election. Majority Republicans could push for an end to the bill-killing filibuster to pass the legislation. Several senators and President Donald Trump have urged Senate leadership to do just that. But they won’t, apparently trusting that Democrats wouldn’t do the same when they control the upper House again.

In the meantime, the thing that the left says never happens — election fraud — is happening with greater frequency. Election integrity trouble in New Jersey alone is making the case for the SAVE America Act.

‘Knowingly Circumvented’

Last week, New Jersey U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer announced charges against four noncitizens for illegally voting in U.S. elections in three different counties and making false statements when applying for U.S. citizenship. The District of New Jersey’s Election Integrity Task Force arrested the individuals after determining they had falsely certified and attested that they were U.S. citizens, according to a press release. As The Federalist has extensively reported, the citizenship “honor system,” checking a box on an election form, is all that stands between noncitizens disenfranchising legal voters. And noncitizens are doing just that.

Fraser said the suspects voted in at least one federal election between 2020 and 2024.

“The subjects are alleged to have knowingly circumvented one of our most sacred rights as citizens, the right to vote. The FBI and our partners will continue to pursue justice for those in violation of federal law, and keep the integrity of our elections intact,” FBI Newark Special Agent in Charge Stefanie Roddy said in the press release.

January, two Pakistani foreign nationals, Muhammad Muzammal, 37, and Muhammad Shakeel, 62, were found to have registered to vote in the Garden State, according to the New Jersey U.S. Attorney’s Office. Their registrations were approved, and both men went on to cast ballots in 2020’s presidential election, a press release states.

The men also are charged with lying to an Immigration Services Officer during an interview, the noncitizens again falsely asserting that they had never voted in any federal, state, or local elections, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. The indictments came down in December.

‘Numerous’ Fraudulent Voter Registration Applications’

Also in New Jersey, former Plainfield mayoral candidate Henrilynn Ibezim, a Democrat, pleaded guilty last week to one count of 3rd-degree forgery nearly five years after law enforcement officials said he attempted to file “numerous” fraudulent voter registration applications in the Democratic Party primary. By “numerous,” New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport, also a Democrat, means about 1,000. --->READ MORE HERE

Framing the Indiana primary victories as ‘retribution’ from President Trump is all wrong. Voters side with Trump when he sides with us.

Indiana Republican primary voters netted dramatic changes up and down ballots Tuesday, kicking out a wave of establishment-allied incumbents while reinforcing many incumbent conservatives against party-backed challengers from their left. The headlines focused on eight Republican state senators who faced primary challengers backed by President Donald Trump for failing to redistrict the state to combat Democrat-run states’ rampant gerrymandering of congressional districts.
At this writing, by large margins six of the eight Senate challengers have kicked out the anti-redistricting incumbents, including members of senior GOP state leadership. One of the remaining incumbents kept his seat, probably thanks in large part to a low-quality challenger, and the other race is too close to call with a margin of only a few votes, according to NBC, and probably headed to a recount.

Indiana Gov. Mike Braun and U.S. Sen. Jim Banks, both vocal and in Banks’ case large financial supporters of the primary challengers, have called for state Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray to step down due to the electoral slaughter of his coalition. Indiana’s Republican Party, both at state and county levels, spent big to attack more conservative candidates, and most of that spending failed to protect their incumbents.

The Indiana Senate Majority Campaign Committee, run by Bray, lost two of its steering members to primary challengers Tuesday, including Majority Caucus Chair Travis Holdman. Its largest primary expenditure this year of $600,000, according to the Indiana Family Association’s Micah Clark, attempted to protect Sen. Spencer Deery, whose race is currently within three votes of a loss.

Its second-biggest spend, $492,000, went to Sen. Linda Rogers, whom Clark noted has a “fairly conservative voting record,” yet she lost by 18 points Tuesday. These two races alone sucked up nearly half the SMCC’s financial stockpile as of the end of 2025, when the Indiana Senate tanked redistricting efforts.

Yet that’s not all. The Indiana primaries were not solely about Trump as a figure, as corporate media in and out of state are framing the story, but about the kind of Republican Party its voters want.

Wrong lesson. Republican voters chose Trump because they were tired of feeling like their leadership had no interest in beating the Democrats. They were tired of feeling like even when they won, they lost.

You can see that down ballot. In other races that did not include the Trump factor, more conservative candidates also scored wins in the primaries, often while fighting against their own local and state Republican parties.

South Bend-area County Councilwoman Amy Drake won her primary against a Republican challenger who had access to huge amounts of money for a local race, spending what Drake says is some $200,000 to fly in out-of-state door-knockers and airplane banner ads. (Drake is an occasional contributor to The Federalist.) Drake sparked her challenger by not only voting against the unpopular expansion of taxpayer-subsidized data centers in her greater Chicagoland locale, but also by governing as a prudent conservative rather than a patsy for the usual corporate interests.

She first took office in the purple area opposing stringent Covid lockdown measures pushed by local health officials. While re-awarding Drake her Republican seat, local voters kicked out an incumbent Republican councilman who has for the last year caucused with Democrats with backing from … the local Republican Party. Trump endorsed nobody in these local races, and yet voters still kicked out party-backed Republicans in favor of Drake and her ally Jamie O’Brien.
“These victories represent the second set of primaries launched against Republicans on the council since 2024,” Drake wrote in her email newsletter Wednesday morning. “That we’ve managed to beat the perpetrators for a second time in a row is certainly satisfying. These primary attacks were of course launched by the same people who now control the St. Joe County Republican party — why many of us good Rs no longer participate in their functions.” --->READ MORE HERE

Dear Leftists Upset With Trump’s DOJ: You Started This!

The only way out is through.

When the Biden-Harris regime’s Justice Department and likeminded state allies targeted (then-former and future) President Donald Trump for four distinct politicized prosecutions, the mood among Democrats and their media mouthpieces was blitheness bordering on glee.
The Stormy Daniels case was perhaps the most blatantly bogus of them all—one giant exercise in trampling over relevant statutes of limitations and shoehorning of a corporate bookkeeping fraud state law to fit the non-crime of alleged “hush money” payments. Soros-funded Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney who brought the case, embodied the old Stalin-esque mantra, usually attributed to former Soviet secret police chief Lavrentiy Beria: “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.”

But Democrats were positively enamored. Christmas had come early!

“Grand Jury votes to indict Trump!” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) tweeted once the first Rubicon had been crossed. “No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence,” Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) added, continuing the distortion of Western civilization’s defining “innocent until proven guilty” justice ethos that Democrats had begun a few years prior during the Supreme Court confirmation hearing of Brett Kavanaugh.

But there was more—much more.

An absurd racketeering case from a corrupt district attorney in Atlanta. The use of the dubious World War I-era Espionage Act to prosecute classified docs at Mar-a-Lago, following an unprecedented FBI raid. There was the Merrick Garland Justice Department’s prosecution of pro-life grannies peacefully praying outside abortion clinics. There was the incarceration of Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon. One could even go back to last decade’s Russiagate hoax itself—an extraordinary bastardization of the federal government’s intelligence apparatus to spy on then-presidential candidate Trump.

None of the Biden-era Democrat-Lawfare Complex’s four anti-Trump prosecutions went anywhere. (The Bragg case did yield a guilty verdict, but the case was effectively dropped after Trump won the 2024 election.) Nor, for that matter, did New York Attorney General Letitia James’ contemporaneous fraud “civil” probe into The Trump Organization go anywhere either. And while we’re on the topic of Lavrentiy Beria, who can forget James’ infamous vow, while on the New York State campaign trail in 2018, to get Trump by any means necessary?

The Democrat-Lawfare Complex’s anti-American legal jihad backfired politically. Along with the besieged U.S.-Mexico border, the Biden-era perversion of America’s justice system was a leading reason voters swept Trump back into office over cackling Kamala.

Now, it appears that Democrats’ stunts have backfired in other ways. At the height of the Biden-era lawfare, Republicans warned Democrats that they would regret weaponizing the justice system against their political opponents.

It appears that day has now come.

Last year, the Trump administration indicted James on charges of bank fraud and making false statements. Former FBI Director James Comey, a central player in the Russiagate saga, was first indicted last year on perjury grounds. Just this past week, he was indicted again—this time over an Instagram post featuring an “86-47” seashell constellation on a North Carolina beach that looks an awful lot like a threat to the president.

The Trump DOJ also sought indictments for six Democratic lawmakers—Sens. Mark Kelly (Ariz.) and Elissa Slotkin (Mich.), along with Reps. Jason Crow (Colo.), Maggie Goodlander (N.H.), Chrissy Houlahan (Pa.), and Chris Deluzio (Pa.)—over a video urging the defiance of military chain-of-command orders. That last indictment was rejected by a grand jury.

To be sure, not all of these cases are the same.

The six lawmakers, for instance, were very wrong to produce the subversive video they did—but “sedition” it was not. On the other hand, the DOJ is on stronger ground with its new Comey indictment. It’s difficult to imagine this indictment will actually go anywhere, but it’s also nearly impossible to interpret a message of “86-47” in any other way than how the Trump Justice Department argues it should be interpreted. And especially after yet another attempt on Trump’s life during the recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner, it would be reckless for the DOJ not to treat such an episode with the utmost earnestness. --->READ MORE HERE
