Law Firm Sues Dearborn, Mich. For Discrimination In Favor Of Islam:

The complaint says courts have recognized a pattern of Dearborn preferencing Islam over other religions, in violation of U.S. law.

A public interest law firm filed a lawsuit today against the city of Dearborn, Michigan, for allegedly establishing Islam as a religion in violation of the U.S. Constitution and civil rights laws. The American Freedom Law Center is pursuing the suit on behalf of Dearborn resident and Federalist Senior Legal Correspondent Margot Cleveland.
“The lawsuit alleges that City officials spent public funds and used City property to promote and celebrate the Islamic holy month of Ramadan while refusing Cleveland’s repeated requests that the City extend the same recognition to Christian and Jewish holidays — and that Mayor [Abdullah] Hammoud and other City officials retaliated against Cleveland for speaking out about the disparity,” says an AFLC press release.

The complaint filed Thursday alleges that the city of Dearborn has spent public funds for years to commemorate Islamic holidays but not the holidays of other religions such as Christianity and Judaism. It says AFLC and Cleveland have made numerous requests, by email and at city council meetings, that the city give equal treatment to religions with public funds and avoid a lawsuit. City officials not only failed to respond, the complaint says, but Hammoud directed the city attorney to tell city council members not to respond.

“I don’t have a problem with people of faith exercising their deeply held beliefs,” Cleveland said in a phone call Wednesday. “I have a problem with people supporting or excusing terrorism and antisemitism and establishing a religion and discriminating against people of other faiths.” She emphasized that she is not seeking the removal of Islamic religious expression but asking the city to comply with its constitutional obligations to treat all religious expression equally.

Michigan Senate candidate and fellow Muslim Abdul El-Sayed endorsed Hammoud’s campaign for mayor in 2021, and Hammoud in turn is an El-Sayed supporter and donor. El-Sayed has also embraced prominent supporters of Islamist terrorism.

Mahmoud and his chief of staff, Zaineb Hussein, did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday morning. If the city replies, this article will be updated accordingly.

The complaint says Dearborn used public funds to pay for banners on public property celebrating Ramadan, crescent lights on city light poles for Ramadan the next year, a large, lighted crescent moon to celebrate Ramadan in a public park, and police department T-shirts to commemorate Ramadan. The complaint alleges the city has taken no comparable actions to celebrate the holidays of other faiths, such as Easter or Passover.

Last year, Hammoud made international headlines for telling a constituent, a Christian pastor, that he was a “bigot” and “Islamophobe” for objecting to Dearborn renaming a street after Osama Siblani, a longtime public supporter of the U.S.-designated Islamist terrorist organizations Hezbollah and Hamas, which have murdered Americans out of religious and nationalist hatred.

“Although you live here, I want you to know as mayor, you are not welcome here,” Hammoud responded, according to video of the public meeting. “And the day you move out of the city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of the city.”

Hammoud refused to apologize for the verbal attack, and the pastor, Ted Barham, declined to sue for discrimination despite what he said was encouragement from supporters all over the world. The complaint notes Hammoud later attended a ceremony celebrating the renaming of the Dearborn street after Siblani, editor-in-chief of the Dearborn-based Arab American News.

In 2024, Siblani claimed, “We are the Arabs that are going to lift Palestinians all the way to victory, whether we are in Michigan, and whether we are in Jenin. Believe me, everyone should fight within his means. They will fight with stones. Others will fight with guns. Others will fight with planes, drones. And others will fight with rockets. During September 26, 175 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders occurred at the front, in particular, the enemy carried out 26 attacks in the Pokrov direction.

As Ukrinform reports, this is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation as of 10:00 p.m.

"In total, 175 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. The aggressor carried out 57 air strikes using 186 guided bombs, used 6,681 kamikaze drones for strikes, and carried out 2,013 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements," the report says.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, one enemy assault action has been recorded since the beginning of the day. The occupiers carried out one air strike using 2 anti-aircraft missiles and carried out 30 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements.

In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy twice attacked the positions of our units towards the settlements of Ternov and Kozacha Lopan.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy twice tried to improve its positions by conducting assault operations in the direction of Radkivka and Kupyansk-Vuzlovye. One assault operation is still ongoing.

Did the Supreme Court’s liberal justices slow-walk their dissents in litigation over President Trump’s mail-in voting order to run out the clock on its implementation for the 2026 midterms? That seems to be what Justice Samuel Alito subtly suggested in the court’s most recent ruling on the subject.
On Monday night, the high court rejected the Trump administration’s request to pause a lower court blockade on a new U.S. Postal Service rule. As described by Fox News, the new rule required election officials to “submit ballot-envelope designs for approval and upload voter information and unique tracking barcodes to a new USPS portal.”

The decision — which effectively bars the policy from taking effect for the fall elections — was presumably 7-2, with Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas saying they would have granted the government’s request for relief. Aside from Justice Brett Kavanaugh — who said the USPS rule seems lawful but denied the government’s request because it’s too close to the midterms for election officials to implement it — the majority offered little explanation for its decision.

Alito, on the other hand, penned a lengthy dissent (joined by Thomas) outlining several issues with the court’s holding. It was in this opinion that the Bush 43 appointee seemingly telegraphed some potentially nefarious shenanigans by the court’s Democrat appointees in the case.

The apparent hint came in the dissent’s concluding pages, in which Alito refuted the alleged concerns that the Democrat-led states challenging the Postal Service rule had regarding “the practical effects of implementing the rule close to the midterm elections.” While taking “that problem very seriously,” the justice highlighted two key points demonstrating why it isn’t enough to warrant rejecting the government’s request to implement the rule for the 2026 contests.

On one hand, the senior justice noted how not even all the challenging states agree “about the nature of these effects.” “Twelve States supported the rule below and asserted that compliance at this time is practicable,” he wrote.

The other and more significant point raised by Alito, however, is that the plaintiff states and federal courts — including SCOTUS — “bear a substantial share of the blame for the rule’s timing.”

The justice chronicled the timeline of how the challenging states immediately sued the administration after Trump signed the contested order in late March, and how such litigation “cast a cloud over the Government’s ability to issue a final rule.” He further observed how Obama-appointed District Judge Indira Talwani strung this lawfare along by “enter[ing] several injunctions months later prohibiting the Government from undertaking that rulemaking.”

The Supreme Court later determined in an Aug. 24 interim ruling (6-3) that Talwani lacked jurisdiction to issue those injunctions because there were no newly issued USPS rules at that time that the plaintiffs had standing to challenge. That decision came with two dissents — one by Justice Sonia Sotomayor (joined by Justice Elena Kagan) and another by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson (which spanned a whopping 23 pages).

While addressing these events, Alito seemed to suggest that the dissenting liberal justices bear some — if not all — of the blame for the Supreme Court’s delay in adequately resolving the issue. He notably observed, “Not only was the Government subject to months of premature litigation and a series of injunctions that this Court later determined were likely issued without jurisdiction, the Government had to wait nearly another full month for this Court to issue its decision so holding.”

“Indeed, this Court spent from late July to the end of August drafting nearly 40 pages of opinions, including two dissents, despite the Government’s public notice that it would not publish a final rule while subject to the injunctions … and its representation that it had a strong interest in issuing its rule in early-to mid-August to allow time to implement it,” Alito wrote (emphasis added). “The plaintiff States cannot claim the timing of the rule tilts the equities in their favor when they, and courts hearing their claims, are responsible for so much of the delay.” --->READ MORE HERE

US Army Reserve asks whether units can be ready in as little as 3 months for Cuba action: report

The Army Reserve has asked its commanders whether military police, medics and other support units could be made available as soon as late December to back potential military action aimed at Cuba, according to a new report.

An internal Army message reviewed by CBS News sought feedback by Friday about the status of those forces, which would be “possibly needed in 90-120 days.”

The missive does not mention Cuba, but the outlet cited multiple US officials who claimed anonymously that the Communist island is the focus of military planning.

The message also does not say how many troops would be needed, specify where they would be sent or denote what operation they would support.

There is also no indication that units have been deployed overseas.

One of the units the Army Reserve reportedly asked about is a support battalion that specializes in coordinating logistics like transportation, maintenance, fuel and supply needs.

The message also inquired about an engineer battalion and a medical brigade, including a forward surgical detachment to provide trauma care, according to CBS.

A spokesperson for US Southern Command, which oversees military operations in Central and South America as well as the Caribbean, told CBS News that “due to operational security concerns, we do not disclose details or comment on US operational movements or potential deployment timelines associated with current or future operations, contingencies, or planning. --->READ MORE HERE

Teen busted in West Indian Day Parade shooting is alleged attempted murderer let out on bail by lefty judge 1 month ago:

An accused shooter tied to Monday’s West Indian Day Parade violence had been out on bail at the time — because a lefty judge ignored prosecutors’ pleas to lock him up over an attempted-slay rap just a month ago.

Nayshawn Wilkinson, 19, was hauled out of the 77th Precinct in Brooklyn on Tuesday — wearing a shirt with the Nike slogan “JUST DO IT” on it — to head to court to face the new attempted-murder charges.

Wilkinson was already supposed to have been in court Tuesday for a hearing on his alleged prior attempted-murder shooting, in which a 15-year-old boy was struck by a bullet in front of a playground in July.

But even if Wilkinson had planned to show up for that hearing, he couldn’t — because he was busted again for the latest violence.

“Are we even surprised at this point?” a disgusted law-enforcement source told The Post on Tuesday.

“This is proof of what happens when you let shooters back on the street,” the source said. “Another bite at the apple, and someone is shot this time.

“At 19 years old, there’s a demonstrated lack of fear for the consequences of violating the terms of his release.“

The teen allegedly had shot a 24-year-old man in the butt Monday afternoon near the corner of St. Johns Place and Nostrand Avenue around the parade route.

It was not clear if the victim was his intended target, but the shot man has no prior arrests, law-enforcement sources said.

Wilkinson had been on the streets despite being busted for the previous shooting only a month ago.

That’s when the teen menace appeared before Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Janice Robinson for allegedly firing a gun twice at a 15-year-old boy in front of the Callahan-Kelly playground in Brownsville on July 22, according to the criminal complaint. --->READ MORE HERE

Left-Wing Judge Let Man Out After Attempted Murder Charge. He Was Arrested In Another Shooting.

Less than five weeks after his first attempted murder charge, Nayshawn Wilkinson was accused of attempted murder again.

A 19-year-old Brooklyn man accused of attempted murder was released on $5,000 bail last month despite prosecutors asking that he be held in confinement. Now, police say he has been arrested again after shooting another man near New York City’s West Indian Day Parade.

Nayshawn Wilkinson was arrested Tuesday and is facing a new attempted murder charge stemming from a Monday afternoon shooting near Nostrand Avenue and St. Johns Place in Brooklyn, along the route of the annual parade. Police say a 24-year-old man was shot in the buttocks. The victim was hospitalized and is expected to survive. Wilkinson was taken into custody, and a firearm was recovered, according to authorities.

The arrest came less than five weeks after Wilkinson was released in an earlier attempted murder case. Wilkinson was arrested in July after firing a gun twice at a 15-year-old boy near the Callahan-Kelly Playground in Brownsville, according to the criminal complaint cited by the New York Post. The teenager was struck in the foot and required surgery, while prosecutors said a .22-caliber bullet fragment was recovered from the wound. Wilkinson was charged with attempted murder, assault, and weapons offenses.

Prosecutors asked Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Janice Robinson to remand Wilkinson without bail. Instead, Robinson set bail at $5,000 cash or a $10,000 bond on August 4. Wilkinson posted the bail and was released.

On Tuesday, Wilkinson was scheduled to appear in court for proceedings in that earlier case, but was already in police custody over the new shooting.

The case has renewed scrutiny of Judge Robinson, who moved from Brooklyn’s civil court to the criminal bench and has faced criticism over a series of low- or no-bail decisions. A review by the Post of 13 defendants who recently appeared before Robinson found that eight were released without bail, including two defendants facing attempted murder charges. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals’ “broad” reading of the National Voter Registration Act would “obliterate” the states’ constitutionally guaranteed authority over setting voter qualifications, the secretaries of state for three red states argue in an amicus brief filed Friday in arguably the next big election integrity case before the Supreme Court.
RNC v. Mi Familia Vota is about to test whether states have the right to require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote, and whether they can remove noncitizens from their voter rolls within the so-called “quiet period” 90 days prior to a federal election.

Ultimately at issue is the power of the decades-old NVRA to override states’ rights in determining who can and cannot vote in state-run elections.

“If the NVRA preempts States from imposing and enforcing a citizen qualification to vote in their elections, it creates serious constitutional doubt about the constitutionality of the NVRA itself,” the secretaries of state for Kentucky, Mississippi, and Nebraska argue in the friend-of-the-court brief.

‘The Ninth Circuit Was Wrong’

The Supreme Court will take up, and perhaps settle, the lingering NVRA issues it dealt with 13 years ago in Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council of Arizona. In that case, the court ruled that Arizona could not require proof of citizenship on federal election registration forms, on which individuals need only attest that they are U.S. citizens. But the ruling did not bar states from requiring proof of citizenship on state voter registration forms.

Arizona’s election integrity laws allow applicants without proof of citizenship to register to vote in congressional races but not in presidential elections or by mail. Left-wing activists immediately challenged Arizona’s identification requirements, asserting that the laws violate the 1993 NVRA and disenfranchise voters who cannot provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship.

SCOTUS weighed in ahead of the 2024 election, granting a stay on a lower court decision that sided with the leftist groups but allowing individuals using the federal registration form to vote in the presidential contest and by mail.

Republicans and election-integrity advocates argue that the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals “erased” a “constitutional boundary” in declaring Arizona’s election integrity laws unlawful. The secretaries of state note that the U.S. Constitution “confers upon States the authority to determine who is qualified to vote” through the voter qualification clause.

“The Ninth Circuit was wrong in this case. States determine voter qualifications and perform voter list maintenance. Nothing in the National Voter Registration Act changed this longstanding tenet of federalism,” Nebraska Secretary of State Robert Evnen, told The Federalist exclusively in a statement.
‘That Power Can Never Be Taken Away’

Preventing voter fraud is clearly in the interest of the states and the federal government, or at least it should be. Arizona’s law requires election officials “to conduct recurring database checks” and remove confirmed noncitizens from its voter rolls. Democrats and their leftist “voter rights” groups believe such election integrity provisions amount to “voter suppression.”

Contrary to the left’s assertions, noncitizens are showing up on voter rolls in larger numbers — and voting in federal elections. In July, New Jersey Democrat Gov. Mikie Sherrill was forced to acknowledge some 6,600 noncitizens had been discovered on the Garden State’s voter rolls, and hundreds had voted in recent elections. --->READ MORE HERE

The Ukrainian military repelled the most attacks in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the start of the day on September 25, Russian troops have continued to attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders in several sectors of the front. In total, 167 combat engagements took place during the day. Russia carried out 56 airstrikes and dropped 190 guided bombs. What Happens When a Muslim Converts to Christianity in Central Asian Republics?

Bearing the brunt of vicious persecution.

Imagine a place where every single person in your community is on high alert, watching you and trying to understand whether you have left your family’s religion and embraced a new one… Once they realize you are no longer a Muslim and now a convert to Christianity, your life will never be the same again.
If you are a woman, you could be abducted, forcibly married, expelled from (or forced out of) home, or incarcerated by your family (house arrest) and subjected to physical and sexual violence.

If you are a man, you could experience economic harassment at your business or access to your place of work, fines, imprisonment, military or militia conscription even if you are a conscientious objector, travel bans or restrictions on your movement, and physical and psychological violence.

This is the life of pressure and persecution of Christian converts across the region of Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.

On August 24, Open Doors, a human rights organization, reported on the baptism of a Muslim man in a Central Asian country whose family rejected and disowned him due to his conversion:

Muhat’s baptism is the most exciting day of his life. It’s also the most dangerous. He has to get baptized in total secrecy – knowing that if he were discovered, he could face even worse persecution than he’s already received.

Muhat lives in Central Asia. That’s not his real name and it would be too dangerous to share which Central Asian country he’s in. Like almost everyone in his country, Muhat grew up as a Muslim in a Muslim home. He had no thoughts of leaving his faith until his close friend, Zinnat, invited him along to an underground church meeting.

Zinnat had recently left Islam to follow Jesus. He hadn’t told Muhat at first, because it had to be kept a secret, but Muhat had seen some significant changes in Zinnat’s life. He was now much more respectful to women, and always ready to admit when he was wrong. He spoke about forgiveness and having a close relationship with God. Muhat was intrigued and wanted to know more.

At the underground church meeting, Muhat realized he had lots of questions that no Muslim had ever been able to answer. The Christians seemed to have a real connection with God, and with each other. Muhat kept returning to the group, again and again. And one day, he knew: it’s time to choose; it’s time to give my life to Jesus and become His follower.

It was the start of a new life, but also the start of persecution. At the underground church meetings, persecution had been a regular topic of conversation. Muhat heard how hostile people in their country were to Christians, particularly converts from Islam. But he also saw that it didn’t deter people. One of the group members even said: “It is an honor to be persecuted, just like Jesus. Surely it is normal to experience persecution as followers of Jesus!”

When Muhat’s family discovered his secret, they were furious. Muhat’s father was particularly angry. “You are no longer my son,” he told Muhat. “You are no longer worthy to be a son.” Eventually, Muhat was disowned by his family and thrown out of home.

In all Central Asian countries, Christian converts from Islam bear the brunt of persecution. If indigenous (Muslim) citizens convert to Christianity, they experience immense pressure, and in many cases, physical violence at the hands of their families and the local community who force them to return to their former faith. Their families could lock the converts up, beat them and even expel them from their communities. Local Islamic leaders preach against them, adding pressure.

Local authorities monitor and raid unregistered churches after making official registration extremely difficult for those churches. They threaten, fine, or detain members of those churches for illegal religious activities. As a result, most converts do their best to hide their faith.

Open Doors ranks Uzbekistan at number 25 on its World Watch List, which tracks countries where Christians face severe persecution and restrictions. Uzbekistan remains a highly authoritarian state under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s control since 2016, with opposition movements and independent media effectively banned:

All Christians in Uzbekistan face varying degrees of pressure and violence based on their faith identity. Russian Orthodox churches encounter minimal interference from authorities as they rarely engage with the indigenous Uzbek population. However, Muslim-background converts face severe violations from state actors, family members, and local communities, with persecution intensifying in rural areas compared to urban centers. Unregistered churches are particularly vulnerable to police raids, arbitrary arrests, threats, and financial penalties.

Traditional Islamic culture and patriarchal norms place women lower than men and subservient within the family context. Women are not free to choose their own religion and face severe opposition to conversion. Incarceration by a convert’s family remains a common and socially accepted form of putting female converts under pressure. Access to social networks, specifically Christian networks, is restricted in the hope that the convert will return to Islam. Abduction and forced marriage are risks, with sexual violence (including within marriage) often unacknowledged and normalized. Shame and stigma prevent many from ever reporting crimes against them.

Tajikistan ranks number 27 on the Open Doors World Watch List:

Only state-controlled institutions are allowed in Tajikistan. Pressure from the authorities has increased since 2015, causing a rise in the number of raids on meetings, Christian materials confiscated and an increase in Christians being fined and interrogated.

When a parent converts to Christianity, family members will try to take custody of the children to raise them according to Islamic principles.

Christian children experience slander from community members, and Muslim children are often kept from having contact with them. All children are required to study the ‘History of Religions’ at high school, which is taught from a Sunni Muslim perspective.

There are restrictions on foreign Christians visiting Tajikistan. They need a special visa, which is very difficult to obtain.

At the UN on Tuesday, President Donald Trump was refreshingly blunt. He referred to the Islamic Republic of Iran as a “vile regime” and criticized his predecessors for preferring to ignore, rather than confront, the threat that it posed to the United States and to all free people.

That was all to the good, as was Trump’s deft situating of his actions against the Islamic Republic as yet another gift of the United States to the world, which is actually what they are:“After giving Iran every chance for a deal,” he said, “I took action to ensure that neither the United States nor any nation in this hall would ever have to face such a nightmare, such a catastrophic problem.”

Trump also stated again that the Islamic Republic has been decimated, contrary to the claims of both the Islamic Republic itself and the Western establishment media, which would like nothing more than to see the mullahs of Tehran give Orange Man Bad a black eye.

“As a result of Operation Epic Fury,” Trump declared, “all 159 ships of their navy are now lying at the bottom of the sea. Likewise, their air force is gone. Their radar is gone. Their anti-aircraft equipment is gone. Their missile and drone manufacturing capacity is almost gone. Their economy is gone. The only thing that isn’t gone is inflation, which is destroying their country and is now well over 300 percent.” That inflation could in itself arouse such fury in the people of Iran that it could spell the end of the Islamic Republic.

Trump noted that previous negotiations with the Islamic Republic had failed, due to the perfidy of the Shi’ite Muslim leadership that believes fervently in taqiyya, the doctrine of religious deception that Shi’ites formulated from the Qur’an (3:28) and made central to their observance of Islam. “Yet even after we agreed to a ceasefire for nuclear discussions,” Trump said, “Iran promptly violated it with brazen acts of terrorism against civilian ships from other countries.”

He duly noted the UN’s (doubtless grudging) support: “I want to thank the UN Security Council for voting overwhelmingly to pass a resolution condemning Iran’s despicable terrorist attacks on commercial shipping. Thank you very much. That resolution, I’m pleased to say, received more co-sponsors from UN member nations than any Security Council resolution in history. Iran Continues to Dictate Terms:

Speaking at the UN on Tuesday, President Donald Trump painted a grim picture of the current state of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s military forces: “As a result of Operation Epic Fury,” Trump declared, “all 159 ships of their navy are now lying at the bottom of the sea. Likewise, their air force is gone. Their radar is gone. Their anti-aircraft equipment is gone. Their missile and drone manufacturing capacity is almost gone. Their economy is gone. The only thing that isn’t gone is inflation, which is destroying their country and is now well over 300 percent.” That all makes it sound as if the Islamic Republic is on its last legs.

Meanwhile, in Tehran, the state-controlled Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported Wednesday that the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Mohsen Rezaei, was in no mood to take any guff from Donald Trump. Rezaei, according to IRNA, “reiterated that Iran will not return to its pre-war diplomatic approach toward the United States, calling on Washington to ‘take action’ and meet Iran’s conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.”

Rezaei “made the remarks in a post on X on Wednesday, saying, ‘Iran’s new diplomacy will not return to the past,’ as the Islamic Republic has reached a new strategic peak.” Rezaei declared: “We will force the United States to respect the rights of the Iranian people and comply with the conditions communicated to it; otherwise, the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened. Enough with negotiations. Take action.”

In another story on Wednesday, IRNA added that Iran was demanding that the U.S. meet “seven conditions set by Tehran.” Rezaei explained that these conditions were “completely different from those of the past and that Tehran would not return to previous arrangements.” He declared: “Until our conditions are met, the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened and we will not negotiate.” Rezaei also said that Iran “wanted the United States to take action first to restore the trust of the Iranian people, stressing that Washington would have to act before Tehran would consider entering negotiations.”

Connecticut towns are installing license plate reading cameras on school buses:

City and town leaders across Connecticut have been fielding growing pushback from residents over automated license plate readers, which opponents say raise a range of concerns about privacy.

But as many state and local leaders have called for a pause on the technology to weigh new policy guidance, several towns are installing AI-powered license plate readers on school buses.

More than half a dozen towns — including Vernon, Bridgeport, Danbury, Shelton, Stratford, North Haven and New Haven — have contracted with a company called BusPatrol, which installs the technology on the towns’ bus fleets, then uses it to gather footage of any motorist passing a bus that’s displaying flashing red signal lights.

The company’s technicians log the events and provide the recordings to local law enforcement.

Unlike some license plate reading cameras — such as those owned and operated by the company Flock Safety — BusPatrol’s aren’t continuously monitoring the roads.

They are triggered “only when a school bus is stopped with its warning lights and stop arm engaged,” a spokesperson from BusPatrol said.

Since 2011, Connecticut has allowed digital video as evidence of a violation.

A 2024 law change put more power in the hands of municipalities to establish video monitoring systems and issue fines.

And so far, they have caught quite a few.

In New Haven, which installed the technology on more than 300 buses earlier this year, cameras have already recorded 12,000 incidents.

Marc Petruzzi, chief of police in Vernon — which announced its rollout last month — said the town installed the cameras to avoid future tragedies.

“Passing a stopped school bus is one of the most dangerous things that a driver can do,” he said at a press conference announcing the initiative.

In the first three days of the program, BusPatrol cameras caught almost 100 motorists passing school buses, said David Owens, a spokesman for the town.

Still, some Connecticut residents are wary of the cameras — particularly when it comes to how the video they capture is stored and shared.

“I think AI cameras on school buses should be banned, just as all AI cameras in the state and in the country should be,” said Dan Piper, an organizer for CT Civil Liberties Defense Committee and teacher in the Hartford area.

Piper expressed concern over the possibility of video being shared with federal immigration enforcement agencies and connected to other databases that use AI for surveillance.

“When someone tells me that we’re going to have more cameras that are connected to private databases that use AI to search for people, we know that those companies are sharing that information,” Piper said.

A spokesperson for BusPatrol, said the company’s child safety systems are regulated by the state in which they’re installed. “BusPatrol retains information only for as long as it is needed for law enforcement review or required by law and is purged once the citation reaches its final disposition. By default, all data belongs to the school district,” he said in an emailed statement.

The incident, which happened in the city of Neubrandenburg, saw the youths beat, burn, and insult the victim, all while reportedly filming the incident and subsequently posting it to social media.”

The “youths” who committed this atrocity, “who are between the ages of 9- to 15-years-old, kicked and punched the victim, hit him with objects, and burned him.” The police revealed that they “include German, Albanian, Tunisian, and German-Turkish youths. Reports indicate that many of these youths were already known to police. For those youths old enough, charges have already been filed, which include assault, coercion, insult, and violating the victim’s privacy through recordings. It should be noted that it is possible that the German youths have a migration background. The German-Turkish youths may have dual citizenship, which is often seen from Turks living in Germany.”

Noted. There is a clear common thread unifying Albanian, Tunisian, and German-Turkish youths, and that is Islam. Given the fact that Islam teaches that Muslims are “the best of people” (Qur’an 3:110) while unbelievers are “the most vile of created beings” (Qur’an 98:6), it is indeed likely that the other attackers were Muslim as well.

And then there’s this. Remix News also reported last Friday that “Muslim classmates beat and ostracized David Brough throughout secondary school because he was gay and German, and then a counselor told him to accept the abuse as part of the school’s commitment to diversity.”

Brough explained: “They hated me because I am German, because I was already a homosexual boy back then, and because I did not submit to Sharia, to Islamic laws on German soil. During my school days, I was mistreated, beaten, ostracized, and insulted every day by Muslim classmates.”

Brough, who went to school in Wuppertal, “described years of daily mistreatment that he said began after elementary school…. He said classmates beat, insulted, and isolated him and that he was targeted in physical education class. Brough called the school a ‘Sharia school,’ a term he uses for campuses with a large Muslim student population and, in his account, little protection for students who do not follow conservative Islamic norms.” --->READ MORE HERE

Staying Home Won’t Punish Republicans, It Will Undo Trump’s Wins:

Trump may not literally be on the ballot, but his accomplishments and future victories are

President Donald Trump closed out night one of the Republican National Committee (RNC) first-ever midterm convention with one simple plea: “Pretend that I’m on the ballot.”
“I’m asking you to pretend that I’m on the ballot. I’m on the ballot. I’m on the ballot. Just one more time, because if we lose, you’re going to lose your border, you’re going to lose your tax cuts, you’re going to lose your safety and security, you’re going to lose your wealth,” Trump said.

It’s an important ask, given how Republicans have struggled to turn out voters when Trump is not literally on the ballot. But while Trump’s name may not literally appear on the ballot, it is for all intents and purposes next to every single “R” on the ticket.

Trump’s agenda is on the ballot. But more importantly, so are his accomplishments.

Over the past two years, Trump has used his authority to shut down the southern border, restore immigration enforcement, dismantle federal DEI programs, and reverse Biden’s ridiculous definition of sex, among other things. Congressional Republicans have funded some of that agenda, like immigration enforcement, and passed Trump’s signature One Big Beautiful Bill, which adds incentives for states to crack down on fraud and waste while also introducing no tax on tips and overtime for certain employment sectors.

Securing a Republican Congress is a priority. Many of Trump’s aforementioned accomplishments were through executive order in order to restore sanity more immediately. None of that would have been easy or even possible without a Republican Congress that provided funding or stepped aside and let the president do what he promised.

That said, congressional Republicans have also still failed to codify a lot of Trump’s work — which is why the election matters even more so. Executive orders can be — and typically are — rescinded by the next president.

It’s easy to forget what life was like a mere two years ago: tens of thousands of migrants rushing the southern border, tearing down barriers and flooding the country illegally. Trump is, to some extent, a victim of his own success. Americans don’t see the problem because it doesn’t currently exist, and they become complacent.

But the absence of a crisis does not mean the threat has disappeared. It means Trump’s policies worked. And unless Congress can codify those policies, many of Trump’s victories will remain short-term, just waiting to be undone by a future Democrat president. That’s why Trump’s accomplishments, and not just his future agenda, are on the ballot. The question for voters is not whether they want the border secured for the next two years but whether they want Congress to make the border security permanent past Trump’s last day in office.

Give Democrats control of Congress, and they may not be able to order Trump to reopen the border, but they can certainly withhold funding, kneecap the president with baseless investigations and impeachments, and ensure that all Trump’s successes on border security and immigration are temporary. Trump could keep issuing executive orders, but those again remain vulnerable to immediate reversal in the next presidential election cycle. --->READ MORE HERE

Each time the U.S. has sought cooperation from the CCP on major issues, the CCP has used those opportunities to advance its own interests

Amid growing concerns about artificial intelligence, some in the United States are urging the Trump administration to cooperate with China on AI safety for humanity’s benefit.
In a recent interview, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that Trump and Xi would deserve the Nobel Peace Prize if they agreed that “no one should be taking a certain level of risk with the development process of this [AI].”

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made a similar suggestion in an MS NOW interview and reiterated it on X. The Trump administration, she said, has “a huge opportunity to enlist China in the effort to rein in AI when President Xi visits.” While Altman may not fully understand the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Clinton, given her extensive government and foreign policy experience, should have known better. Each time the United States has sought cooperation from the CCP on major issues, the CCP has used these opportunities to advance its own interests at the expense of the United States. Let’s look at some examples from the past two decades.

Bill Clinton’s So-Called ‘Win-Win’

In 2000, President Bill Clinton strongly supported granting China permanent normal trade relations and entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), describing it as a “win-win” that would bring prosperity to the United States and political liberalization to China. More than 25 years later, China has become a more powerful authoritarian regime with a deteriorating human rights record and now challenges U.S. global leadership on multiple fronts.

Economically, China implemented certain scheduled tariff reductions and service phase-ins, but has not fulfilled the market-oriented commitments expected by WTO members. Critics and U.S. trade representative compliance reports note that Beijing maintained or reinstated barriers related to intellectual property theft, forced technology transfer, industrial subsidies, and restricted access in key service sectors. These practices have cost American businesses billions of dollars.

The “China shock,” referring to the economic disruption caused by China’s rapid export growth to the United States after joining the WTO in 2001, contributed to a significant decline in the U.S. manufacturing sector. Between 2001 and 2007, the United States lost 1 million manufacturing jobs and about 2.4 million jobs overall. Many regions have yet to recover. This outcome did not reflect the “win-win” scenario that was promised.

Assurances to Obama, Trump, and Biden

This was the beginning of a series of unfulfilled commitments. In 2015, Xi assured then-President Obama that China would not militarize the artificial islands it had built in the South China Sea. However, three years later, Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, noted that China had militarized those artificial islands with “10,000 foot (3km) runways, ammunition storage facilities, routine deployment of missile defense capabilities, aviation capabilities, and so forth.”

China also made commitments to both the Trump and Biden administrations that it would limit exports of fentanyl and its precursor chemicals during the U.S. fentanyl crisis. While Beijing placed some substances on a controlled list, enforcement has been inconsistent. A 2024 congressional report found that companies producing fentanyl chemicals continued to receive export tax rebates, and U.S. reports indicate China remains a primary source of chemicals used by Mexican cartels. A 2025 ProPublica investigation also identified links between Chinese groups and illegal marijuana operations in the United States. These findings have raised concerns that the CCP may be deliberately facilitating the flow of drugs such as fentanyl and marijuana into the United States.

Sonia Sotomayor said in an interview last year that she always tries to see the “good” in her fellow Supreme Court justices, even when they disagree. So, why is she now publicly accusing her conservative colleagues of behaving unethically on the bench and not understanding how American government works?
That’s what reportedly happened during an appearance the senior justice made at a University of Oklahoma-Tulsa event on Wednesday.

Speaking to moderators about the three levels of the federal court system, Sotomayor purportedly said that the district court “is the place where judges do justice for the parties before them,” and that as a judge, “you get to see two parties; they have a problem, and you’re really working on resolving that problem.”

She then described how a judge’s role is somewhat different at the circuit level, where “you’re trying … to make sure there was no error in law, and make sure that you’re correcting that.” The Obama appointee lastly turned to the role of the Supreme Court, in which she appeared to accuse her colleagues of ignoring the law’s meaning in order to advance an outcome they deem to be personally favorable.

“When you’re on the Supreme Court, you’re thinking about what the law should be,” Sotomayor reportedly said. “If you’re reading our opinions, many of my colleagues are not worried about what the law was. What they’re thinking about is what the law should be.”

The senior justice also reportedly claimed that “some” of her SCOTUS colleagues “don’t understand” how American government works. The comment seemingly came as part of her remarks about the decline of civic education in America, according to local media.

“My greatest fear is that people don’t understand our system of government. They don’t understand what the First Amendment means. They don’t understand what our system of government presumes,” Sotomayor said. “Some of my colleagues don’t either by the way, and I’m not joking about that.”

Sotomayor purportedly cited her disagreement with the unitary executive theory, which recognizes the president’s inherent Article II authority over the executive branch.

“That’s not what was created” by the Constitution, Sotomayor reportedly claimed. “We created a government with checks and balances, and the unitary executive theory is overturning that balance.”

Such issues were at the forefront of the Supreme Court’s Trump v. Slaughter (2026) decision, in which the court upheld (6-3) President Trump’s firing of Rebecca Slaughter from the Federal Trade Commission. The ruling — in which Sotomayor dissented — notably overturned longstanding precedent that said Congress could enact certain limits on a president’s authority to remove members of so-called “independent agencies.”

Yet for all her supposed concerns about her fellow justices ruling based on what they think the law should be instead of what it actually says, Sotomayor has done exactly that. Since joining the high court, the Obama appointee has regularly disregarded the law’s original meaning to advance outcomes that comport with her left-wing ideology.

In 2015, she signed onto the majority opinion in Obergefell v. Hodges, which shoehorned so-called “gay marriage” into the Constitution — despite there being no sound basis for such a decision. And in 2022, she dissented from the court’s Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade, which invented an imaginary constitutional “right” to abortion out of thin air.

ICE launching tipline to report CDL fraud following series of deadly crashes by illegal migrants:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is launching a new tipline for Americans to report suspected commercial driver’s license (CDL) fraud as the Trump administration ramps up its crackdown on unqualified truckers following a series of deadly crashes involving illegal immigrants.

ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations announced the official CDL fraud tipline Tuesday, Fox News Digital learned.

Americans can report suspected fraud by calling 866-347-2423.

The new tipline comes as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) have expanded efforts to identify illegal immigrants and other unqualified drivers operating commercial vehicles on American roads.

DHS pointed Fox News Digital to cases involving illegal immigrants who received CDLs from states including California, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania before later being involved in fatal crashes or arrested in connection with other alleged crimes.

“Too many American lives have been lost or permanently changed because illegal aliens who have no business being on our roads have been granted CDLs,” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said.

“ICE and our federal partners, including the Department of Transportation, will be cracking down on CDL fraud so that not one more American life is lost to a reckless illegal alien behind the wheel of a semi-truck. You can help save American lives and make our roads safer by dialing ICE’s new CDL fraud tipline today.”

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced Wednesday that it has launched a tip line for reporting fraud involving commercial driver’s licenses, or CDLs, as part of a broader federal enforcement push targeting unqualified truck drivers.

The effort follows Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s warning of a new crackdown on the trucking industry after more than 110 commercial driving schools were shut down when officials found thousands of drivers who failed English-language checks had been certified.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Administrator Derek Barrs also tied the enforcement effort to deadly crashes nationwide.

"In total, 242 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. The aggressor carried out 59 air strikes using 190 guided bombs, used 4,185 kamikaze drones for strikes, and carried out 1,801 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements," the military noted.

According to the General Staff, five enemy assault actions have been recorded in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions since the beginning of the day. The invaders carried out one air strike using 3 KABs and carried out 39 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, two of them using MLRS.

Bloodsoaked manager of ritzy Miami steakhouse accused of stabbing mom to death:

The manager of a ritzy Miami steakhouse was nabbed for his mother’s murder after cops found him soaked in blood at his luxury high-rise apartment and her dead inside with multiple stab wounds Friday morning.

Stefano Cremasco-Cicero, 36, told cops he acted in self-defense when he allegedly stabbed his mom to death inside his 47th-floor Miami pad, the Miami Herald reported.

Police responded to the apartment building in the city’s Brickell neighborhood shortly before 5 a.m. Friday for an “unknown request” where they found the restaurant manager drenched in blood on his clothing, hands and shoes, according to his arrest affidavit.

Cremasco-Cicero reportedly told officers, “I was defending myself,” before leading them to his apartment on the 47th floor.

Inside the unit, cops found his mom — who has not been publicly identified — lying on her side, covered in stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also found several bloodied kitchen knives, a shattered glass, a broken wine bottle and two white shirts covered in blood after a search warrant was issued.

Cremasco-Cicero’s mom was staying with him while she visited from Mexico, his unidentified wife told police on the phone.

His wife, who was out of the country in France at the time of the bloody killing, said Cremeasco-Cicero was not close with his mother following his parents’ divorce, according to the Herald.

The son’s wife told cops she didn’t believe her husband suffered from any mental illnesses but noted he had been under a lot of stress while opening a new restaurant in Coconut Grove. --->READ MORE HERE

Coconut Grove restaurant manager jailed in mother’s Brickell killing: cops

The manager of a Diego Maradona-themed Argentine steakhouse was locked up on Friday after police say he stabbed his mother to death in his Brickell high-rise apartment.

Shortly before 5 a.m., Miami police were called to Solitair Brickell Apartments, 86 SW Eighth St., for an “unknown request.”

Officers found Stefano Cremasco Cicero, 36, in the lobby with blood on his shoes, hands and clothing, according to his arrest affidavit.

“I was defending myself,” Cremasco Cicero told police before directing them to his apartment on the 47th floor, according to the affidavit.

Officers opened the unlocked apartment door and found a woman lying on her side with stab wounds. Miami Fire Rescue pronounced her dead at 5:08 a.m.

A search of the lobby found two pairs of white shoes covered in blood, a pair of glasses and Cremasco Cicero’s iPhone, according to police.

Police say Cremasco Cicero and his wife are the only people listed on the apartment lease, which has been in effect since July 23, 2024.

A food-delivery driver who was at the Brickell building to drop off an order told police that Cremasco Cicero had opened the lobby door for her and asked her to call 911. Cremasco Cicero called 911 himself and handed the woman the phone. As the woman spoke to a dispatcher, she noticed blood on Cremasco Cicero, who refused to take the phone back when she tried to hand it to him. Missouri’s chaotic redistricting battle is finally over — or so America thought.

A three-judge panel for the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Thursday that the Show Me State must use its 2025 congressional map in the upcoming midterm elections. The new map would take Missouri from a six Republican-two Democrat map (enacted in 2022) to a seven Republican-one Democrat map.

“This Court holds that Missouri’s current plan to use the 2022 map in the November 2026 general election violates the Constitution. Only use of the 2025 map complies with the Constitution and federal law,” the court held.

The panel was comprised of Judge James Loken, a Bush 41 appointee, and Judges David Stras and Justin Smith, both Trump appointees.

The entire kerfuffle began earlier this month, when the Missouri Supreme Court ruled that the state must use its 2022 map for the midterms and to include a statewide referendum on the 2025 map on Missouri’s 2026 fall ballot. The left-wing People Not Politicians‘ efforts to get the referendum placed on the ballot were initially rejected by Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins.

Missouri-based Chief District Judge Stephen Clark, a Trump appointee, issued a temporary restraining order days later in a federal challenge brought by several congressional candidates, mandating the Show Me State to use the 2025 map for the midterms. That ruling came moments after U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh rejected an emergency request by Missouri officials to pause the Missouri Supreme Court’s decision.

SCOTUS ultimately froze Clark’s TRO without explanation the following day. The high court said that the lower court’s order is paused “pending the disposition of the appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and disposition of a petition for a writ of certiorari in this Court, if such a writ is timely sought.”

In its per curiam opinion, the 8th Circuit noted estimates indicating that more than 1.4 million Missourians “could not vote for the congressional district nominees who will appear on their November 2026 general election ballot, and [how] more than a quarter-million Missourians who voted in the August 2026 primary election cast a vote for a congressional district candidate who now cannot represent them.” Permitting the state to use its 2022 map under these circumstances, it said, would allow “some Missouri voters [to] have more say than others on who represents them in Congress.” --->READ MORE HERE

The ruling reverses Supreme Court decisions and splits a Kansas City district, likely eliminating a Democratic-leaning seat

A Missouri appeals court ordered Monday that the state must use a GOP-drawn congressional map in November’s elections, reversing a series of Supreme Court decisions.

The St. Louis-based Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals made the ruling Monday, just one day before absentee and mail-in ballots were slated to be sent out to voters. Military and overseas voters have already begun to receive ballots, according to the Associated Press.

"This Court holds that Missouri’s current plan to use the 2022 map in the November 2026 general election violates the Constitution. Only use of the 2025 map complies with the Constitution and federal law," Eighth Circuit Judge Stephen R. Clark wrote in a previous decision, which was upheld by the appeals panel in Monday's ruling.

The map, drawn by Missouri’s Republican-dominated state assembly in 2025, has already been rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court twice on procedural grounds, most recently earlier this month.

The new map splits Missouri’s 5th Congressional District, which encompasses the state’s largest metropolitan area centered on Kansas City, into two districts, likely eliminating one of the state’s two Democratic-leaning districts.

Despite numerous challenges, Missouri did use the 2025 map for its August primary elections. An August ruling from a state trial court ruled that a reversion to the 2022 map "would move hundreds of thousands of voters into different districts for the imminent 2026 general election compared to the districts in which they cast their ballots in the August primary elections."

The Missouri Association of County Clerks and Election Authorities already announced it won’t be using the 2025 map for November, arguing in an appeal filing that the state does not have enough time to provide new ballots, according to the AP. --->READ MORE HERE

Democrats might have a messaging problem, but they also have a ground game to render rural America irrelevant in elections.

Democrat elites despise rural voters. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels paved the way for their contempt by writing in The Communist Manifesto that the migration from small communities to large urban centers has “rescued a considerable part of the population from the idiocy of rural life.” Nearly 200 years later, it seems there is a migration in reverse, with elites invading the hinterlands to “rescue” rural folk from their continued idiocy.
One case in point is the recent episode at Wydaho Roasters, a coffee shop in deep-red Idaho, owned by a pro-abortion couple from deep-blue St. Paul, Minnesota, Jim and Mary Sheehan. Jim Sheehan has said his coffee house welcomes everyone. But in mid-August, when a pro-life group met there to quietly discuss how to defeat Idaho’s Proposition 1, a referendum that would allow abortions up to 24 weeks gestation, when babies are over a foot long and can survive outside the womb, Sheehan kicked them out. Kristan Hawkins, leader of the group of more than a dozen pro-lifers, posted a video of the incident:

Sheehan compared the pro-life group to the Ku Klux Klan and said he worked to get pro-abortion candidates on the ballot in the state. Wydaho Roasters is located in the town of Driggs, Idaho, in the Teton Valley. National Geographic has rated Driggs as a top recreation location in America, which makes it a Mecca for white, affluent leftists. If you study the voting patterns and census information of Driggs, it’s clear the town has been overrun by leftists over the past 20 years.

Democrats Aim to Control Local Governments in Conservative Places

Another example of leftist scorn for rural folks is the case of a camouflaged liberal in conservative Shenandoah County, Virginia, just 90 minutes west of Washington, D.C. He ran as an “independent” candidate for the county board of supervisors in 2019 and lost by a close margin to a Republican. Below is part of his Facebook response (since deleted but at least partially preserved in a screenshot) to Shenandoah County Democrats, who supported him and thanked him for running:

The outward push from the metropolis near us is inevitable and unstoppable. The “deplorables” in our county know this … and they hate it … but in our lifetime … they will be politically outnumbered. You and our collective group of educated, intelligent, economically successful friends who already live here are sort of the “pioneers” in advance of this imminent movement … until the main force arrives.

And why are they choosing such rural areas to buy homes, weekend getaways, and retirement havens? He explained:

People like you and me who currently live in and around NOVA [Northern Viginia suburbs of Washington, D.C.] want to be here … they want nice homes they can afford in this spectacular geography … where they can still easily get back to their favorite stores and restaurants in the city when they want to.

Indeed, the geography is spectacular in the Shenandoah Valley locale of Shenandoah County, Virginia, just as it is in the Teton Valley locale of Teton County, Idaho. Democrats love the pastoral and mountain views of rural areas, even though they detest the “deplorables” who live there. As they buy up the affordable real estate, they make those nice homes less affordable for the locals.

It’s a depressing look at a manipulative mindset. But it’s useful to have it laid out clearly in such hot-mic moments.

The Left’s Supremacist Attitude Is Nothing New

Democrats certainly have a messaging problem in small town and rural America. They can’t seem to hide their contempt, though they may try at times. But the left is very organized, and their outward contempt will not cost them in the midterms if conservatives in those areas do not show up to vote. This is especially true in local elections where turnout is notoriously low. Low conservative turnout is the low-hanging fruit that allows Democrat invaders to take over red areas. Rethink the H-1B visa program — and stop shutting Americans out of jobs to win Gen Z:

The University of Pittsburgh is hiring an event planner at a salary of $45,000.

Yes, the compensation is measly and the skill set required is elementary — but rest assured, this is a highly competitive role that no American candidate can fill.

At least, that’s what we’re told about this and other H-1B jobs — tens of thousands of them a year.

The H-1B visa program, which lets American companies bring in 85,000-plus foreign workers each year, is an increasingly sore subject for young Americans, who feel like they’re being displaced in an already tight job market.

If Republicans want to make a play for Gen Z in the November midterm elections, ending or seriously reforming H-1B must be on their agenda.

Last week President Donald Trump made another attempt to curb H-1B usage by proposing to charge employers a hefty $103,265 fee for each H-1B worker.

But advocates of H-1B — who argue that it’s needed to recruit highly skilled foreigners for advanced work in engineering, science and IT when Americans aren’t up to the task — have previously stymied such moves in the courts.

Clearly, it’s in our national interest to poach our rivals’ geniuses.

But that’s not necessarily what’s happening — as the Pitt posting attests.

All too many companies exploit H-1B to bring in semi-skilled workers willing to be paid chump change compared to what Americans would demand.

A growing number of Gen Z and Millennials are objecting to what they see as a government-aided effort to import a cheap, unimpressive underclass that’s stealing their jobs.

Anecdotal evidence abounds: A young male relative working in computer science has complained to me about the hand-holding he and his colleagues must do for H-1B arrivals, mainly from India.

They resent having to work ever harder, even as their jobs come under threat.

“It took my son, a decorated USMC sergeant with two deployments to Iraq and a university IT degree, almost five years to get a job in his chosen field because all the entry-level positions were taken by . . . H-1B visa holders,” wrote one commenter on a YouTube video I made on this topic.

“The injustice is absolutely maddening.”

And it’s been rankling workers for years: Another commenter recalled how, 20 years ago, his department at FedEx once hired an H-1B optical engineer who didn’t know how to write software.

“I eventually set up a little school in my lab to teach them the basics, but they never produced usable code . . . What a disaster.”

To be fair, it’s not all headwinds for American STEM workers.

Job openings for software developers, quality-assurance analysts and testers are projected to grow 15% by 2034, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics — much faster than the average for all occupations.

And even if the sector was contracting, those workers’ skills would be valued in the trades, which are projected to have 1.4 million jobs across seven essential industries unfilled by 2030.

So it would make sense to keep H-1B in its current form if young Americans weren’t stepping up to the plate.

But the US has plenty of whiz kids — they just aren’t being activated. --->READ MORE HERE

There have been 134 combat engagements at the front, with the Defense Forces repelling 40 enemy attacks on the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka axes.

Ukrinform reports this, citing operational information from Ukraine’s General Staff as of 22:00 on September 22, 2026, posted on Facebook.

“A total of 134 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. The enemy launched one missile strike and conducted 53 airstrikes, dropping 191 guided glide bombs. In addition, it used 5,378 kamikaze drones against targets and carried out 1,999 attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops,” the post reads.

According to the General Staff, two enemy assault actions have been recorded since the beginning of the day on the North Slobozhansky and Kursk axes. The enemy conducted two airstrikes, dropping five guided glide bombs, and carried out 101 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, eight of them using MLRS.

During the day,on the South Slobozhansky axis, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 12 times near Starytsia, Hrafske, and Lyman, and toward Malyi Burluk, Putnykove, and Radkivka; another combat engagement is ongoing.

On the Kupiansk axis, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy offensive action toward the settlement of Borova.

On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two attempts by the invaders to advance near Novoselivka.

On the Sloviansk axis, the Defense Forces stopped one attempt by the invaders to advance near Kalenyky.

One enemy assault was reported on the Kramatorsk axis, near Fedorivka.

On the Kostiantynivka axis, the Defense Forces repelled 19 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Rozkishne, Novopavlivka, Kucherevyi Yar, and Vilne; one engagement is ongoing.

Shapiro’s Muslim outreach raises disturbing questions.

In the 1950s and 1960s, To Tell the Truth was one of the most popular shows on television. Three contestants, all claiming to be the same person, were quizzed by a celebrity panel after which the host asked the real person in question to stand up and reveal themselves.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, up for reelection in November, could easily appear on that show were it on TV today as three different versions of himself. A master at tricky shape-shifting, the “real” Shapiro could appear as three persons in one, or an unholy trinity with the sales ability of a super shyster.

A supporter of a Palestinian state, a lukewarm supporter of Israel which sometimes dips into the “strong” category (with a lot of “yeses” and “buts”), he makes sure to visit mosques while building unusually close relationships with Arab communities.

But when you comfortably position yourself in the middle — the milquetoast option — you are especially vulnerable to attack from both sides.

Although Shapiro stated Israel had “a right to defend itself” after the October 7 attack, when he was Pennsylvania’s attorney general in 2017, he led much of the opposition to the Trump administration’s travel ban targeting Muslims. By the time he became governor, he was savvy enough to recognize that Pennsylvania’s Arab population was second only to Michigan’s in numbers, meaning he had to temper his support of Israel and not go out on a limb the way PA Republican gubernatorial candidate Stacy Garrity does when she states she is not in favor of a separate Palestinian state.

Senator John Fetterman put it succinctly when he said, “Palestine is a failed nation — not even a failed nation. There is no real leadership, except for Hamas. And it’s clear Hamas refuses to change their views.”

Shapiro, ever the politician, is too mindful of Pennsylvania’s Arab population numbers to go the Fetterman-Garrity route, so he supports a separate Palestinian state. Muslim numbers, after all, are powerful. In Michigan, for instance, Dearborn and Hamtramck have a majority Muslim population and are Muslim-controlled, but cities like Detroit, Livonia and Macomb aren’t far behind. In these places you will find an extensive mosque network, cultural institutions and immigrant communities.

In many ways, it seems that Pennsylvania, and especially Philadelphia, are following Michigan’s lead.

Philadelphia, known as “Muslim Town,” is in the running to succeed Dearborn as the nation’s next big Muslim enclave. It’s been a slow buildup in that direction since the late 1960s and ’70s, when Nation of Islam missionaries in suits and ties filled City Hall Courtyard hawking Muhammad Speaks newspapers. After 1975, the Nation of Islam shucked much of its black-only identity and merged with the larger trans-racial Islamist movements. (I can recall walking through City Hall courtyard at that time and hearing references to “blue-eyed devils.”)

Consider the growth of Islam in the Germantown section of the city. The year 2021 was the most violent in the history of Philadelphia but especially in Germantown, where there were shootings every day. In 2021, three people were shot in front of Germantown’s Musjid on Germantown Avenue. After the shooting, people from the mosque helped the injured; following that, the Musjid embarked on a campaign to fight street violence by initiating a campaign to buy up boarded-up properties and turn them into small businesses. This was an admirable endeavor. By Ramadan 2024, the level of street violence in Germantown had decreased drastically. The Musjid reported that for nine days straight that year 222 people a day took Shahada (conversion to Islam).
These are astounding numbers and they point to Philadelphia becoming a “Liberty Bell” version of Dearborn sometime in the future. I don’t think it is an exaggeration to say this.

In 2026, both the City of Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania opened their hearts and coffers to all things Islamic.

There are 300,000 Muslims in Philadelphia, and those numbers are growing. In 2024, the city appointed Dr. Quaiser Abdullah as the first Director of Muslim Engagement. One might ask: Why is Islam being singled out for special status in city government? Is there an Office of Ukrainian Catholic Engagement? And what about those Orthodox Jews in the Overbrook section of the city?

Greenland’s premier praised the deal for strengthening the security of that territory. “It is to the benefit of us all,” he said.

The Trump administration has announced a security deal with Denmark over Greenland, surprising no one except the entire foreign policy establishment and a bunch of slogan-chanting journalists who surrendered their capacity for independent thought at least 10 years ago. This is why you don’t take legacy media seriously, and the same goes for listening to the professional brow-furrowers at the think tanks. Remember what they were saying at the beginning of the year:

Like everyone else in the dinosaur media, the toddlers at The New York Times spent January wetting their diapers over the whole thing. Trump was getting ready to attack all of Europe, starting the bloody meal with Greenland as a mere appetizer. The Times compared Trump to, you’ll never guess, Adolf Hitler, with a headline about how Nazis have always yearned to control Greenland. Trump, the leading Democrat newsletter declared, was announcing his violent intentions with regard to Greenland as a way of communicating his intent to exercise unlimited power everywhere. The world would be soaked in blood as the terrifying fascist brutally invaded Greenland, obviously.

NATO’s darkest hour, it turns out, led to a security deal that Denmark and Greenland are speaking of with considerable warmth. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that the agreement “strengthens our common security in the Arctic and the North Atlantic Area and therefore is great for NATO and Europe as well.”

Compare the January framing and the September outcome:

The destruction of NATO, an attack on NATO, NATO’s darkest hour, the end of NATO, an insult to NATO.

And then a deal that’s “great for NATO.”

Remember that, and you’ll be immune to the “news” forever.

In January, NPR warned that people in Greenland were hurt, angry, and confused over Trump’s angry and threatening rhetoric. In September, Greenland Premier Jens-Frederik Nielsen praised the deal for strengthening the security of Greenland. “It is to the benefit of us all,” he said.

The formal agreement has not yet been released, but the parties are expected to sign it next week at the United Nations General Assembly. The Trump administration is characterizing it as an agreement that expands an existing 1951 executive agreement, rather than a treaty, so it appears that Trump won’t submit it to the Senate for ratification, denying John Cornyn and Thom Tillis a chance to showboat. Speaking on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Center for Security Policy senior fellow and retired US Marine Col. Grant Newsham compared Trump’s pact with Denmark and Greenland to the US acquisition of Alaska in 1867.

Newsham argued the agreement secures vital North American defense geography while limiting Russian and Chinese expansion.

“This is a big deal. This is right up there with Secretary of State Seward getting Alaska,” Newsham said Saturday.

“It’s a little different because we haven’t bought the place, but it locks up or brings into the fold, really, key terrain, key geography, up on our northeast,” he explained. “Russia and the Chinese, in particular, they can’t get in there militarily, and they cannot get in economically.”

On Friday, the president announced the deal in a post on Truth Social, saying the agreement would give the US permanent control over security in Greenland.

“I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many US concerns,” Trump wrote.

“There will be NO COST to the United States! At my direction, we worked with representatives of Denmark and Greenland to guarantee that the United States will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland, and the United States of America.” --->READ MORE HERE

Mamdani faces new lawsuit over NYC-run grocery stores alleging unfair competition:

The Mamdani administration is facing a new federal lawsuit alleging that its controversial plan to open taxpayer-subsidized grocery stores in the five boroughs violates antitrust laws, The Post has learned.

The National Supermarket Association and two of its members – City Fresh Market in Harlem and C-Town Supermarket in the Bronx – are filing the suit in the Southern District of New York as soon as Tuesday evening, the association’s president Anthony Peña told The Post.

He pointed to millions of dollars in city subsidies to Mamdani’s five proposed publicly run grocery stores as evidence of unfair competition.

“We are arguing that everyone has to be able to access these subsidies,” Peña said. “It’s not about us being afraid of competition. We are against unfair competition.”

His group, which represents 450 independent grocery stores in New York City, is filing the complaint with the America First Policy Institute, a conservative nonprofit chaired by Larry Kudlow, President Trump’s former top economic advisor.

The suit will mark the second major legal effort against the city over Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s plan to open five public supermarkets in low-income neighborhoods. Under his plan, the stores would not pay rent and would sell key items for at least 30% less than neighboring shops, including small bodegas.

In August, the Multicultural Business Coalition, which is comprised of 50 chambers of commerce representing ethnically diverse businesses in New York City, filed two lawsuits in state court alleging that business owners’ civil rights would be violated if the municipal stores are allowed to open.

City Fresh Market, located at 125 E. 116th St., is only about a block away from one of the proposed municipal stores. Mamdani wants to set up a 9,000-square-foot shop inside La Marqueta at Park Avenue and E. 115th Street for an eye-watering $30 million in taxpayer money. --->READ MORE HERE

Immigrant businesses who spoke out against Mamdani supermarkets say they’re getting hit with NYC sanitation fines:

Members of an immigrant business group that has spoken out against Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s plans for government-owned supermarkets lately have been getting slapped with fines from the city’s Sanitation Department — and some say it looks like a case of retaliation.

Diana Larrazabal, who owns flower and gift shop Aroma D’ Angel at 304 E. 116th St., said shops including hers in recent months have received a slew of citations from the New York City Department of Sanitation for garbage that isn’t even theirs.

Her flower and gift shop was dinged with fines three times this year — most recently for $350 in May. Many of her Spanish-speaking neighbors who are not bilingual lean on her to help them navigate the city’s red tape, she said, adding that they also are forking over hundreds of dollars in fines.

“It’s definitely more frequent,” Larrazabal said at a Wednesday press conference held by the Multicultural Business Coalition – which sued the mayor and the city on Monday over the city-owned supermarket strategy over fears it will pose unfair competition to their stores.

The coalition’s chairman, Frank Garcia, says the fines ramped up about two weeks ago when the group began pounding the pavement to speak with local business owners to get support for its suit.

“When we started going door to door two weeks ago, that’s when the fines started,” Garcia told The Post, saying some have been served with penalties as stiff as $1,000. “The owners don’t speak English.”

“DSNY issues cleanliness violations in all corners of the city,” a spokesperson for the Sanitation Department said, adding that the city has issued 223 commercial summonses in Harlem since March 1. “Our only goal in issuing violations is to give all New Yorkers the clean streets they deserve.”

Asked about retaliation allegations on Wednesday, Mamdani spokesperson Cassio Mendoza referred to Mamdani’s public comments on Monday, in which he said he is “confident in both the legality of this — that it will stand up in court – and the importance of delivering it.” --->READ MORE HERE
