With all of these downed trees wouldn't it be great if there was like a group of, i don't know, willing, hardworking, young American's that want to improve their communities and their country and have a job or pathway to education or further employment. You would like need a whole lot of them, because of all the damage, like maybe a Corps of American's that work with communities to improve and conserve our open spaces. Another "good" idea - run a half marathon after resting ones knee for a month

Yeah, so I haven't been running much the past few weeks, half in an attempt to rest/heal what i think/hope is only a meniscus injury in my left knee as opposed to any tendon thingy. It got somewhat better but by then i was lazy and thought I should keep resting it. That did nothing. Instead I got out of the training groove and couldn't really restart. so once again I do a half-marathon with little to no training and on the out of shape side of my median fitness level.

It was a really big race numbers wise. Twice as large as the my old largest. Its a very nice course. Not too hilly, and what hills there are might be longish, but not too steep. The biggest course problem I had was the fact the first 2 and last 2 miles had little shade, but don't really expect shade trees next to water. The heat (and the early morning humidity) got to me early, and a couple miles in, I decided the plan was to just finish and to not overheat. So I took advice i saw online and really focused on using the fluid stations, which were plentiful, and walked through them. I ended up getting a nice rhythm of walking some but mostly running (and at a slightly faster pace, so it seemed to equal out in the end) I didn't achieve my main goal of not seeing any of the race leaders running at me. I was hoping to make it past the shared start/finish course section before the uber-fast people made it, but failed. But like net time wise, I would have just made it, just I started back in the pack from them :) but yeah, they were fast. Good crowds. This one curly red haired kid around 8mi marker was preaching like "if you believe, I'll believe and they'll believe and everyone will believe . . . " very motivating. With my running/walk I kept passing/being passed by the same people so at least I was consistent. I was planning on not walking at all for the last 4 miles but somewhere between 9-10 by left knee decided it hated me and it really started hurting and I was lucky if i could make a quarter mile without having to walk. So that cut into my time a little, because I had the energy, but not the ability. Very annoying, but its my own fault. Asked it to do way too much. Also downhill at the end, which is harder on my knee than going uphill.

I finished somewhere around 2:30 if the knee hadn't acted up i suspect I could have gone 4-5 minutes faster, but it s no big deal.

only 2 tiny complaints. 1 it was a lot easier getting into the parking lot then getting out
2. hearing 1 or 2 people complain about other runners walking, in the context of these other runners were ahead of them in the start pack (maybe they pushed through to start closer) and know were walking, the implication they should have stayed back. Now I can understand if they like forced their way to the front but otherwise, since it was done with timing mats and net timing, it didn't matter. I know I started further forward then I finished, but I just stood at was the back of the group when I got there.

and maybe next year i will enjoy the beach party, but i didn't wanted to blind anyone this year with extreme paleness

hmm so much i could have blogged about maybe i'll retro blog about stuff
part of the problem is to really do post service i would have links and pictures,

so right now, I'm bumming because a cool person I met at a concert has decided
that since I wasn't available to talk or skype for several days, that I wasn't invested in
the friendship. It sucks, because said person is pretty damn awesome.
I understand why she would be upset, but honestly, I was ignorant of the fact that

not being online for a day or two(which is rare, I know and was/is actually something I am
trying do.

I hope stuff gets better,

But with my luck trying to make friends i should probably just stop.

Went rollerskating again today. Only fell 4 times in 3 hours. And only 2 were my fault. talked a little but didn't really socialize with the DeathQuads or CT rollergirls much. Just feel like until I can afford the gear and safety equipment to be a DQ, i an just a hanger-on. Still need to learn how to stop. I can make tighter turns now and my back was not sore like it was last time. The rental skates sucked in the back right heel no padding, but i made do with creative shoelace tying,

And my niece and nephew are here so fun with them but put me in cellar. which is not my favorite place but it gave me the initiative to not use wi-fi ao i can game once i get a wired mouse that works,

rollerskating is good for me because I know I can't do on dxm so it is a motivator

Dune -Frank Herbert (for like the nth time)
Dune Messiah -Frank Herebt reading this now, because I have been putting it off ever since I first read Dune back in middle school, because I had inklings of what happens, and I don't want it to ruin Dune for me. But I feel like I should probably read it now. Also, I enjoyed the Lynch Dune (well the first half mainly) but since I had read the books, I filled in what I wanted in my head. Didn't like the choices he made regarding weirding modules and the end was way to quick. The Sci-fi series, if i remember right, was ok. It was much longer which helped. But the acting/directing wasn't as good. And not as good of soundtrack. But it depiction of Paul's times with Fremen was better, mainly because there was more time for it. Never saw the Children of Dune because I haven't read it. All in all, since so much is inner dialuoge and detail, its better as a book, but I appreciate attempts.

A Million Little Pieces -James Frey this is the "memoir" that wasn't actually his memoir. Though I assume, having been in rehab, that the stories are true or truthful or truthy for someone's. (i,e. he took an addict's story, and either generalized or what not) I haven't read it yet, because I dislike false advertising, since I believe in the end it does more harm than good. However, it seems that a lot of people have read it, and maybe they are judging me on it, so I need to know what it is saying.

Also, it seems to have helped a lot of people, and that is good. So if being promoted as a memoir is what it took to get published and such, then I guess its ok. I probably wouldn't have heard about it with out the scandal.

Reading since someone I like said it is her favorite, and I want to be able to comment.

All Creatures Great and Small - James Herriot which I read for summer reading back in high school. I had chosen it because it was partially autobiographical and we were required to read autobiographies, biographies, non-fiction and the such,

Fun time at the Heirloom

Was bored watching tv and sleeping at home, so checked if any local shows were happening. Saw something was at the Heirloom Arts Theatre. No idea going into it was type of show it was, just figured it would good music.

So apparently the show I went to was a Hardcore show. No complaints tho. Just wasn't prepared. CT hardcore scene is underrated by those not in the know. However, mosh pits seem to have changed a tad over the past decade. Also I was more ska-punk person. A little different, a little less violent. Though it seems like everyone stole how I would dance on my own, just made it more reckless. When did it become like some secret form of death commando squad berserker knife fight training?? I remember when it was just about like running into people and picking people up when they fell. Oh well, I'm out of touch. I was trying to make sure people just watching the show didn't get jacked by a flying arm whip or whatnot. Failed when this girl next to me got kick by a spinning back kick move. All I saw was her bend over and spit come out of her mouth (we were up against wall) and she was obviously in pain. But seemed not permanently injured. And some dude could have, if he was holding a knife, got me in the throat, or in the heart. Like he was just showing off. But its pretty easy to do that, when the person doesn't expect it, or consider it, and isn't trying to start or be in a fight anyways. Almost seems like violence for violence's sake, which is dumb.

And then things got confusing. Very overwhelming for me, and confusing cus don't know how to handle all the factors. Nevertheless flattered a lot and I tried my best, but I guess circumstances weren't in my favor tonight or I got be a little more bold. But probably for the best because in my head these would just be purely physical fings at firsts, cus i don't think im ready to handle that and I don't want to screw up my chances with the person I want to have something meaningful with, just its hard to wait till next time I see said person. Also, don't know how to deal with overprotective looking guys (brothers, bf"s, wanna be bf's, no idea.) Don't know the best way to get a message to someone when that happens since I don't have a wingman with me. I could go the say something to someone else that you mean to be overheard. But that seems weird, and when it happens around me I'm never sure exactly the intent.

main thing is be a little bolder? I just don't want to get interference or blocked by other parties. So its like how to be subtle. Don't like going through unknown to me third parties because can't be sure whose best interests they have in mind.

And I'm bad with secret across the room eye, gesture and such talk. Can't really interpret or know if I am communicating what I want/

All i know there were a lot of cute girls (all women are girls to me, just like all dogs are puppies and all cats are kittens) that I caught stealing glances or outright staring at me. I tried to return interest, and hoped they would make a move, since its easier to make a move on someone alone then someone with friends around them, in my opinion. But I also understand why they wouldn't cus I know its hard to make the first move.
Also not being used to having a cell phone (for a myriad of reasons that just became habit) leads to confusion when I don't have a number to call them, or like accidentally screw up when they are trying to get me to ask for their number. Like some girl form earlier in the night complained she couldn't find her phone. I wasn't thinking so I was like, I don't even have one. But since it was noisy, it was hard for me to explain the whole long story. I probably should have just suggested that we try to call it to locate it, and would need her number. That seems like the sly move, too bad I realize it a second too late. Also, i introduced myself and was hoping I would get their name in return, but I never specifically asked for it, just hoped they would realize my intentions.

But still doesn't really matter right now, cus i don't want to make a big screw up. But I also would like to have some fun and shit and make up for the non-experiences of my whole life. But life is long. And righr now I have my eyes on the so-called prize.

So I will tread carefully. Be patient. And make sure I seize the right opps when they come. Also, if things don't work out with one person, I'm sure I will meet these other people again, as long as I keep doing the stuff I enjoy.

Well its been a long but good day overall. Learned some lessons. Got some advice. Feeling more confident every single day. Sketched some quick images of the performance space. Nothing amazing and it was dark and I only had a pen, but still good.

also came up with more insights about myself that if i remember later and can read my writing, might make good future posts.

I do know one thing, I need to clean/detail my car cus its gotten way messy in there. And I need to take advantage of people's skills a little bit more, accept what they are willing to offer.

Two great days of work

Work has been awesome. Today it was great to see so many of the doggies on hold for Adoption, I will miss them, but I hope their forever homes are right for them. I was confused to see Tuxedo back, He is very energetic and sweet, and loves to play with people and other dogs. I forget his play buddy right now but, hopefully, the person who has him on hold has other dogs he can play with. I wish I was that person, and eventually I will be. I just have to keep taking my baby steps, and get back my stability.

Also, Scooter got adopted. (an orange cat) she is so cute. I think she came in nervous and pulled out her own hair. Its great she gets the love and attention she needs. Emm(e/a) is the sweetest girl. She doesn't look like much but once you pet her head or scratch under her chin, she purrrrrrrrrrrs forever. It sucks that when I am cleaning I cannot give them the attention they deserve, but I make sure they get love when I move them to clean. Since it must be scary, stuck in cage, with bars, seeing other cats and other creatures (people, dogs, and such) and not knowing why you are here or what you did wrong. Some might be sick or in pain but we don't know it. I'm still learning how to tell when a cat is pain or has been abused. They all express themselves differently depending on How, and WHERE, and when they were raised, and who they were raised with, (other cats, dogs, chickens, or were they orphaned?Their mommy killed for some reason. Surviving someway.

That is why some cats like running water or moving water, i think. They learned through experience that still water ---> stagnant and disease and filth. So they test the water, maybe splashing it too much, or like it dripping (if they were found in a storm drain, like my Bella (i think)). I try to show them that I am giving them fresh, cool, safe water. Sometimes, I might even drink from the same bowl, because if I was in their situation, I wouldn't drink something that someone else would not drink. (unless its like a different species, like aliens (going all sci-fi here) What is good for you is not necessarily good for others, but could be.

I am worried about one cat that was very aggressive scared, but she is in ISO so that it good and will be checked out,

Saving up to get a bike so I don't have to drive (bleh) cus its only 8 miles, or if iI flind a place after getting a second job, then it might be closer. Gas costs a lot ands its stupid to drive to work when one could just bike it or walk. I don't understand why people live so far away from, where they work. I kind of do, but kind of don't/

Gonna watch Community and P arks and Rec and 30 rock and stuff tonight. Also work on my Americorsp CapeCod App since the deadline is 24th and I want to have the option to do it (Even tho, sadly i would have to have a car. I don't like driving, but I do it because sometimes it is a necessity.) More on this laters

CT has great music hardcore, metal,ska, underground, hip hop. It has flat track roller derbies. Vinyl record stores. MTG tournament centers. It also has farms and trails and rivers. It has hills. And horses. It rarely gets tornadoes. It has great local sport talent. And great artists. It has good food (pepe's) and has Stew Leonard's (former tax cheat ) /it has malls. //it has universities.

It has drugs too :( but also a very good mental health/drug rehab system, at least in western CT (MCCAonline.com)

It needs better environmental land stewards and smarter Dept. of fishing and Gaming people (they still think deer culls helps stop lyme disease)

Also they have too many stupid GOP's in positions of power, that don't understand how schools work, and try to fix working products.

Or maybe that is just my town in CT. The Northern Corners are quiet for the most part.

and you can drive to NYC, or cape cod, or boston, or train to DC or B'more or Boston, or Philly. Or drive to and fly to anywhere.

But also we suck at allowing windpower cus we are to NIMBY and the power companies don't wan't to lose their control on energy so won't build the infrastructure to distribute the power and they won't use the ridgelines we have like they do in europe. This is a way to not be dependent on foreign oil or "clean" coal or "clean" natty gas, or domestic oil.

So its confusing
Had a fun day, Didn't run like I wanted to but sleep was good. Then went to the CT Roller Derby http://www.ctrollerderby.com/ and saw the Yankee Brutals http://www.ctrollerderby.com/skaters/ defeat The Skyland RollerGirls http://skylandrollergirls.com/ *Form NJ Thia time I went the easy way and didn't get lost except for turning one turn too early at the end, but I had been there before so I knew where I was. Its pretty eASY. 34 towards New Haven, go through Derby and Oxford and such and then get on 15-N and get off on the next exit( 59 ) and its pretty much right there.

It was nice. I bought a couple of wheels for the halftime thing *wheel roll and I almost won, but there was one person closer. Our's collided so i wouldn't have been so close if not for her wheel. Also entered the auction just one ticket hoping for a skate with the Stepford Sabotge, but no idea if I won cus I left soon after cus I was trying to get home before rain (fail) and to try to find Ben ans SarinA. sO i was home for a bit watched some tvs I think and then head out to 1bar cousin larry's I suck at night rain driving. The reflections, the lines don't appear clearly. Therefore, I drove extra defensively (windows open for sound, no radio)
I made it there, parking was a problem, got some help which was nice. Went to THE 1 BAR/aka cousin larru's http://www.the1bar.com/ i guess it was last call time and i met someone I had met at a New Year's Eve party that I went with my friend Bobby at Cam's. but alas the peeps I was looking for weren't there.

Tried to play chess with some guy name Mike, but the board was very weird. Glass: so the lights and the angles made it hard. And I think he was just hitting on me.

Walking around downtown Danbury I got super self-conscious because I was carrying a book and vhs tape that I didn't want to get wet. and from my time in rehab hearing from actual drug users (not that DXM isn't a drug) i think people were thinking i was looking to score? Cus if I saw a big lost white guy, downtown carrying a book or something that is what I would think. And I was carrying a book and a movie :)

And then I was like maybe the hat I am wearing *mets hat but I don't root for them, I don't root against them unless they are playing my team/ I just like the hat (I need a new hat, but its old skool, from the 80's_

I was wearing a hat and had a bandanna. and I was like super paranoid that someone might think me a gang banger or something. Went past some Brazilians,they might have wanted to roll me, or they needed a smoke. Didn't have a lighter so no can do. Eventually got back to car, came home, wrote this.

So it was an adventure AND I knew I was safe so all was good. Just next time, i should have someone with me :( and its a good thing i have no money or anything so nothing to take.
Hopefully walking dogs today cus I didn't on saturday.

Fun times with Ryan and Juliet

I was coming down with a sore throat friday night. But I had not seen my niece and nephew for months http://www.ryanandjuliet.com/blog/ and I really wanted to go. So i did. And I made it through most of the day. I played blocks with Juliet which was super fun. Ryan gave me hugs and I got to pretend to be a dog/cat thingy and chase him around. But crawling around on hands and knees is tiring for someone ill. so i play limp body to get some rest and see what happens. And I get crawled upon. And then I made up the slide Ryan around the floor game. And then I was feeliing bleh. Ate a bunch of vegan food and then went downstairs to get some cool air and fell asleep and then sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeped pretty much until monday afternoon.

So feeling better, still somewhat sore throat, but over the hump of the illness, and back to "normalcy"

Also learned a lot about my Mom's side of the family, and get to understand why she gets so concerned with me. Would have been helpful to know these details like years ago . . . . but can't change the past until time machines.

Also working on emotional things that are all tied up with everything, and still trying to deal with that. But stuff is looking up.

Sanding down my two mini-sculptures, re-learning techniques from my senior project (do they even still do that at BHS, also do they still do a junior project?)

Made a pro/cons lists about near semi-future options. I'm leaning towards something but its not all in my hands.

Hopefully kittens and dogs will be the last bit of cure i need :)

It was sweet. Though everyone for some reason has to wear drab colors. I stood out being tall, big, with a red shirt and purple hair. Finally connected in person with a HS person that is into the right kind of music. And need monies if I wanna get lilliput/kleenex on vinyl gotta check the turntable see if it works.

So yeah, I forgotted my password for my account and didn't want to jump through all of the hoops to get it back at the time. It was actually good to have a break for a bit. So i got back and lo and behold maybe i found it again :(

so i was stressed for no reason.

but its a lesson. Don't depend on chrome memorizing passwords cus you won't learn em and other people can use em.

As for work, been going good. Puppies are super cute. And so be cats. :)
Tomorrow should be a fun day.

so many unpublished drafts

yeah so i don't do things to well in moderation. Either publish everything or hold back too many drafts,

Today was a fun day at work. A lot of nice cats have been adopted the past couple of days, and some other ones that are super cool haven't which confuses me. Actually went and looked at the puppies today. Balls of cuteness squeezing into each other, yipping. Sooooo cute.

Then I had my first dog grooming experience. It was Newfie that was being adopted later in the day. Small for a Newfie but very well behaved. Helped lift into the tub, and learned how to wash the dog. Mixing the shampoo with the water first in a bowl and then using it. Keeping her calm and giving her pets. Then helping her out and getting splashed in the face as she shook herself partly dry. Then towel rubdown, brushing, and blow dry.

So for my first time in a long time with a dog grooming it was ok. No shaving or anything, so when I advance I will learn more.

i see n64 mariokart still the best mariokart tho ds mariokart is good
never played doubledash probably fun with people that don't play much that can be the guy in the back

wii kart is fine using a normal control tho bikes are dumb tho

as for n64 bond in the end i could best most people cept like dan and his friends but they played soo much they ended up only playing single kill, super fast style. plus it was hard to see 4 player on small/dark tv's and you could pwn remembering spawn orders,

and once I played CS strike, I couldn't handle aiming.

but i also liked CS strikes scoring/goal better. Team wins matter, not personal stats. You stay dead till round is over, then everyone respawns. Buying weapons based on money saved/earned. But then everyone modded servers to crappy deathmatch or roleplaying WOW/superhero servers.

I guess essentially it comes down to I dislike when the screen is just filled with crazy explosions, distractions, people hopping backwayrds, pulling 360's shooting off rockets. I need the game at least mildly life-like in videogame terms, where one can see the results of ones actions.

Which is was multiplayer smash brothers with all the items and a moving map confuses me soo much. No idea if what I did actually acheived anything, or was it some pokeball that killed the guy i attacked at. Plus I don't have ADHD
and i have no reflexes for games anymore

and i can;t focus on too many things/switch focus between a lot which is why playing starcraft I am only okay for like the first 4 minutes.

so my point is ?
